  • We have analyzed the ingredients of 17 pieces of Bronze Age bronze ware, and an additional 22 pieces of Koryo and Chosun dynasty bronze ware. We have also conducted analysis of the extraction sites where these bronze ware items were found. For analyzing the main ingredient the bronze ware items have been divided into 3 groups - Cu-Sn(70?75:20), Cu-Pb-Sn(70:10:10), Cu-Pb-Sn(60:10:20) type respectively. In tile cases of the Cu-Pb-Sn groups the division comes down to differences in the Cu content as the main component, and elements such as Ni, Fe, Co contribute as a micro ingredient. The geographical and periodic characteristics of ancient bronze ware items show that theircompositional element changes from Cu:Sn to Cu:Pb:Sn and the Cu content decreases with the period, while the Pb content increases with the period. Bronze ware items from Suchon Ri, Gongju (that were used in 3 B.C.) form very different categories from 3rd ${\~}$ 2nd B.C.. They additionally formed very different categories from those bronze ware items analyzed in this research. These bronze ware itemsare shown to be geographically close and periodically overlapped, but made of a new elemental composition. This shows an inflow of a production technical culture present in the new bronze wares. The main component content of Cu is lower, and the Co and Fe contents (as microelements) are much higher than that of other bronze ware items. Such facts showthat those bronze ware items used completely different materials from bronze ware items in other cultural areas, or that there were differences in smelting techniques In the places where ancient bronze ware items have been extracted, it is presumed that the materials originated from the southern parts of Korea andnorthern parts and southern parts of China. .As more bronze ware scientific research is compiled one can conclude that that there will be enough scientific evidence to study the Bronze Age culture of Koreasystematically.

  • This study investigated the main dishes of menus at university faculty cafeterias to understand current lunch menu trends. A sample of 1040 menus was collected from Internet homepages of 52 universities between March and May, 2014. The main dishes of menus were categorized into six groups based on main ingredients and cooking methods. The most frequently served main dish ingredient was pork followed by fish/seafood, and poultry. Pork dishes and chicken dishes were mainly roasted, pan fried, or deep fried with various carbohydrate ingredients to bulk them up. Large amounts of chili pepper, corn syrup, and oil were added to improve the bland flavor of these dishes, which contain starchy ingredients. In contrast to pork dishes or chicken dishes, 40.2% of beef dishes was served in a more traditional way as soup. Fewer kinds of fish or seafood were used, and the cooking methods also lacked diversity. In conclusion, main dish menus at university faculty cafeterias have undergone changes in terms of ingredients and cooking methods. Meat dishes cooked using traditional methods are becoming less common, especially for pork and chicken dishes, which are quite sweet, salty, and spicy. Extensive use of carbohydrate ingredients was found in some meat dishes and side dishes in one-dish meals.

  • The volatile components of Eutrema wasabi were prepared by distillation and ether extraction. The extracts were similar in the color, the odor, and the antimicrobial activity to allylisothiocyanate, the main ingredient of wasabi essential oil. The antimicdrobial activity of the extracts was evaluated and it was found that these had the antibacterial effect against a broad spectrum of pathogenic bacterial such as Staphylococcus, Escherichia, Pseudomonas and Salmonella.

  • The application of PIV to the studies of fluid-machines, especially focused on turbo-machinery is reviewed by scrutinizing the previous investigation. Owing to the inevitable high-speed analysis of turbo-machinery consisting of rotating impellers, the importance of optical setups to cope with illumination problem is frequently mentioned as main ingredient affecting the PIV performance. And the acquisition of the relative velocity and absolute velocity is determined mainly by the optical recording conditions. A few studies cast satisfactory extension of the PIV data to quantitative pressure estimation and related noise assessment.

  • This report is on a scientific investigation of 3 pairs of 금제태환이식 which were excavated from 황남대총 납분. 태환 is a main part of 태환이식 and it could be classified with 4 types in how to produce, especially how many the golden petal was used. In this investigation, they,3 pairs of 금제태환이식 from 황남대총 남분, were in 3 of 4 types and also I could find that this result was not on the technical progress but on the ingredient of metal. Also, In the result of ingredient assay, I could find that although they were in one pair of 태환 one piece was made in gold and silver alloy and the other piece was made in 99.5 percent of pure Ag with gold amalgam plating. And the another pair was getting red from others because of making in 33percent of Ag and 77 percent of gold, high Ag content. And All pairs of 태환 have a small quantity of Copper. As above, although they are one pair they have the difference of how to produce and the difference of volume and ingredient content, it means that these pairs of 태환 from 황남대총 남분 were made in pressure of time. From now on, if we investigate the ingredient and how to produce of 태환이식 in the local comparative analysis, namely natural science method, we can find out the metal art technique and the social aspect of the ancient times as not analogical inference but scientific basis.
