Dynamic behavior of temperature-dependent Reddy functionally graded (RFG) nanobeam subjected to thermomagnetic effects under the action of moving point load is carried out in the present work. Both symmetric and sigmoid functionally graded material distributions throughout the beam thickness are considered. To consider the significance of strain-stress gradient field, a material length scale parameter (LSP) is introduced while the significance of nonlocal elastic stress field is considered by introducing a nonlocal parameter (NP). In the framework of the nonlocal strain gradient theory (NSGT), the dynamic equations of motion are derived through Hamilton's principle. Navier approach is employed to solve the resulting equations of motion of the functionally graded (FG) nanoscale beam. The developed model is verified and compared with the available previous results and good agreement is observed. Effects of through-thickness variation of FG material distribution, beam aspect ratio, temperature variation, and magnetic field as well as the size-dependent parameters on the dynamic behavior are investigated. Introduction of the magnetic effect creates a hardening effect; therefore, higher values of natural frequencies are obtained while smaller values of the transverse deflections are produced. The obtained results can be useful as reference solutions for future dynamic and control analysis of FG nanobeams reinforced nanocomposites under thermomagnetic effects.

This study was done to provide basic data on the safety of professionals in medical imaging system by measuring the electromagnetic waves generated in the medical imaging system being used in medical organization. The studied medical imaging systems were general X-ray system, computed tomography(CT), ultrasonographic system, magnetic resonance imaging(MRI), PET-CT and fluoroscopic system, and through these devices, electric field and magnetic field were measured and analyzed. As a result of the analysis, the measured values classified by the medical organizations were not much significant, but in the measurement by the medical imaging systems, there were high hazard elements in the sequential order of electric field PET-CT($17.7{\pm}22.9$)v/m, CT($10.3{\pm}8.7$)v/m, general X-ray system ($8.8{\pm}8.8$)v/m, magnetic field general X-ray system($5.06{\pm}8.26$)mG, CT($2.71{\pm}4.53$)mG and PET-CT($0.74{\pm}0.34$)mG, the systems that adopted X-ray as main ray source, and the more aged the medical imaging systems, the greater the effects of electro-magnetic waves($10.6{\pm}15.93v/m$ for 5 years or more, $6.14{\pm}5.60v/m$ for 5 years or less). The effects of electromagnetic waves on medical imaging systems or facilities were not much when the notification of ministry of knowledge economy is considered, but in the overall perspective considering all the equipments and facility of the medical organization, such effects were significant. It is determined that sustainable safety managements of electric field and magnetic field must be done during process from medical imaging system installation to maintenance to rule out such factors.
This study was done to provide basic data on the safety of professionals in medical imaging system by measuring the electromagnetic waves generated in the medical imaging system being used in medical organization. Purpose : The study aim was to apply high-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation to and investigate the effects on upper extremity function and activities of daily living. Methods : This study was conducted at Hospital D in U City from April to June 2018. Thirty-two patients diagnosed with stroke according to prior research criteria were selected and divided into two groups. Sixteen people in the experimental group received high-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation and traditional occupational therapy, and sixteen people in the received sham stimulation and traditional occupational therapy. Both groups received 20 minutes of transcranial magnetic stimulation and 30 minutes of traditional occupational therapy per session, five times per week, for a total of 10 sessions over two weeks. Upper extremity functional evaluation, MFT and activities of daily living (Korean Version of the Modified Barthel Index, K-MBI) were conducted before and after the intervention, and an independent t test was used to confirm the effects of the intervention. Results : No statistically significant difference between the aforementioned groups' MFT and K-MBI scores was noted before the intervention. After the intervention, however, a statistically significant difference was found in K-MBI scores (p<.001). Additionally, after the intervention, a significant difference between the groups' MFT scores was found (p<.05). Conclusion : The results of this study showed that the combination of high-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation and occupational therapy was effective in recovering upper extremity function and activities of daily living in patients diagnosed with acute stroke.
The magneto-electro-elastic (MEE) material under thermal environment exhibits pyroelectric and pyromagnetic coefficients resulting in pyroelectric and pyromagnetic effects. The pyroelectric and pyromagnetic effects on the behavior of multiphase MEE sensors bonded on top surface of a mild steel beam under thermal environment is presented in this paper. The aim of the study is to find out how samples having different volume fractions of the multiphase MEE composite behave in sensor applications. This is studied at optimal location on the beam, where the maximum electric and magnetic potentials are induced due to pyroelectric and pyromagnetic effects under clamped-free and clamped-clamped boundary conditions. The sensor which is bonded on the top surface of the beam is modeled using 8-node brick element. The MEE sensor bonded on mild steel beam is subjected to uniform temperature rise of 50K. It is assumed that beam and sensor is perfectly bonded to each other. The maximum pyroelectric and pyromagnetic effects on electric and magnetic potentials are observed when volume fraction is ${\nu}_f=0.2$. The boundary conditions significantly influence the pyroelectric and pyromagnetic effects on electric and magnetic potentials.

Buckling and free vibration analysis of sandwich micro plate (SMP) integrated with piezoelectric layers embedded in orthotropic Pasternak are investigated in this paper. The refined Zigzag theory (RZT) is taken into consideration to model the SMP. Four different types of functionally graded (FG) distribution through the thickness of the SMP core layer which is reinforced with single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) are considered. The modified couple stress theory (MCST) is employed to capture the effects of small scale effects. The sandwich structure is exposed to a two dimensional magnetic field and also, piezoelectric layers are subjected to external applied voltages. In order to obtain governing equation, energy method as well as Hamilton's principle is applied. Based on an analytical solution the critical buckling loads and natural frequency are obtained. The effects of volume fraction of carbon nanotubes (CNTs), different distributions of CNTs, foundation stiffness parameters, magnetic and electric fields, small scale parameter and the thickness of piezoelectric layers on the both critical buckling loads and natural frequency of the SMP are examined. The obtained results demonstrate that the effects of volume fraction of CNTs play an important role in analyzing buckling and free vibration behavior of the SMP. Furthermore, the effects of magnetic and electric fields are remarkable on the mechanical responses of the system and cannot be neglected.

In the precision motion device, the frictional problem by mechanical friction causes serious effects on the system performance. Various researches have been executed to solve this problem, but classical fluid lubrication method has some disadvantages in precision motion under clean environment. Therefore, the magnetic bearing and contact-free systems have been focused on with its pollution-free characteristics. In this paper, we treat modeling and analysis of electromagnets not only for magnetic bearing but also fer contact-free electromagnetic actuators. Three types of electromagnet for various applications are modeled and analyzed by magnetic circuit theory and the validity is verified by experiments.

This paper describes the surface polishing characteristics of a flat and free surface ferromagnetic substance(SM45C) that magnetic abrasive polishing processed. The effects of the various working factors on the surface roughness are clarified by experiments respectively, such as magnetic flux density. rotation speed of magnetic head. working gap, feed rate of workpiece. diameter of magnetic abrasives. and shape of workpiece. On the basis of these experiments, the polishing mechanism is discussed and the characteristics of the polishing process are described. In addition, it is found experimentally that die & mold surfaces are also polished precisely by this process
Magnetic suspensions based on passive levitation of diamagnetic materials on permanent magnets provide attractive systems for several applications on the micro and meso scales. The magnetic properties of these kinds of suspensions dramatically reduce the global mechanical stiffness of the devices providing significant effects on their dynamic response. The goal of this paper is to investigate the static and dynamic behavior of magnetic suspensions with respect to its dependant parameters. Experimental measurements have been performed on the response of dedicated prototypes where the geometrical dimensions and magnetic field strength have been intended as variable parameters. Some benefits have been documented in the fields of energy harvesting and inertial sensing, while additional applications of magnetic suspensions are under investigation.
After passing through a magnetic field, the physical quality of water improves, and magnetic water (MW) is produced. There are many investigations on the effects of magnetic field on water that shows MW properties like saturation and memory effect. This study investigates the fresh and hardened properties of concrete mixed with MW, which contains silica fume (SF) and superplasticizer (SP). The test variables included the magnetic field intensity for producing MW (three kinds of water), SF content replaced cement (0 and 10 percent), water-to-cementitious materials ratio (W/CM=0.25, 0.35 and 0.45) and curing time (7, 28 and 90 days). The results of this study show that MW had a positive impact on the workability and compressive strength of concrete. By rising the intensity of the magnetic field which was used for producing MW, its positive influence on both workability and compressive strength improved. MW had greater positive impacts on samples containing SP that did not have SF. Moreover, the best compressive strength improvements of concrete achieved as W/CM ratio decreased.
