This study looked into the characteristics of participants in dance sports, which is being positioned to be one of everyday athletic activities among people, and investigated the actual purchasing of dance sports wear with the subjects of its participants as a preceding study for the development of dance sports wear to consider their characteristics. The questionnaire method was used, and descriptive and crosstabulation analysis was conducted with a spss 12.0. The findings are as follows. 1. As the results that examine general characteristics of dance sports participants, the number of those in their 20's was the largest, while the number of women was larger than that of men. Regarding the practicing period, those of one year or longer up to 4 years occupied the largest proportion, and the rate of Latin American dance participants was larger than that of modern dance ones. 2. As to the actual purchasing of dance sports wear, the purchase motivations were found to be in the 'contest participation' for teenagers and those in their 20's, while those in their 40's or over purchased their wear for the purposes of 'following the fashion' or 'club gatherings.' As for the sources of information at the time of purchase, teenagers relied on internet and those of 20's or over got the information through the persons nearby. As their ages got higher, the ready-made sports wear was preferred, while as their practicing periods got longer modern dance participants purchased the sports wear of higher prices. Participants in their 30's and those practicing 7 years or longer possessed a comparatively larger number of dance sports wear and they considered importantly of designs and fit at the time of purchase. Therefore, the development of dance sports wear designs should be made to accord with the participants' age groups so that they might be sensitive to the fashion and clearly represent their personality for the junior group and durable enough to last long for the senior group.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the formative characteristic of modern Tap dance costume according to its origin and kinds. For this purpose, the study explored the review of literature focusing on the historical back ground of Tap dance and investigated into the kinds of modern tap dance and the formative feature of the tap dance costume. Costumes of leading tap dancers in representative performances and movies are analyzed. The results are summarized as follows: The kinds of current tap dance could be categorized as three types of Jazz Tap Dance, Rhythm & Funk Tap Dance, Irish tap Dance as their development origin. The Tap dance widely distributed through the U.S. Hollywood movie, The Jazz Tap Dance costume was composed of magnificent and luxurious design applying the high fashion of the 1930s and 1950s in the male and female costumes. The U.S. Blacks' tap dance, Rhythm & Funk Tap costume had a close relation with resistant blacks' culture, and showing the type of free dressing not bound by previous tap dance dress. The Irish Tap Dance originated from Irish folk dance displayed the tap dance embroidered costume using the Irish traditional pattern. This study systemized the characteristic of the tap dance costume by kind, and explored the dress revealed at the tap dance as a symbolic system to the cultural zone where the dance is made.

The purpose of this study is clarify the formative characteristic of dance costume design and analyse stage effect based upon the formative factors. Classified design element of dance costumes by line, silhouette, color, material, lighting, and also this based on content analysis method about each formative factor of costumes that showed 10 dance performances which practically be performed and made. And individually interviewed the professional dance composers and dancers who participated in the performances fer objectivity and specialty of this study. The results were as follows; 1. Dance costume contains and harmoniously expresses theme of a dance work, formative characteristic of fashion design, movement and character of the dancers, lighting effect. 2. Korean creative dance costume is effectively expressed with formative factors of traditional costumes and modem sensibility and symbolic expression of image-centered. 3. Costume line is affected by dancer's movement and it's possible to be different effect that the atmosphere or stage effect by the original form of line and the expression method. 4. Costume color is effective to inform that dancer's character and image of a dance work. 5. Costume material is most important to consider that the dancers and the atmosphere and the image of a dance work. 6. Lighting effect can inform various feel of dancer's dance.
This study aims at identifying the physical, emotional effect on dance education by using "Dance Central" among Xbox-360 Games. In order to achieve the target, this study adopts case study methodology through Dance Central program among qualitative methods. The participants of this study were 8 adults who do not have experienced dance games from a homogeneous group composed of persons into who are called the Net Generation. The period of this study was from July 18, 2011 to August 14, 2011, during which the observation was conducted for 5 weeks. In total, 15 times of participant observation were made. Dance game experience Through data collection and analysis Participatory Video, self-reports, un-Structured interview, Observations. As a result of the study, the educational effect of aspects physical, emotional and the of dance game was analyzed into dance educational aspect. Educational effect on physical aspect was divided into subjects of 'preceded rhythm and familiarity of dance moves', 'changes by type of moves' and 'dance game requiring active physical activities'. Emotional learning effect was divided into subjects including, 'alleviation of stress'. 'changes of fun by stage and concentration' and 'dance game which has no risk of addiction'.
As a pioneer of modem dance, $Lo{\ddot{i}}e$ Fuller($1869\sim1928$) was important because she introduced a free style dance using a new style of stage costumes. Also, $Lo{\ddot{i}}e$ Fuller was an important motif in $fin-de-si{\grave{e}}cle$, French arts, posters, sculptures, and so forth. This study aimed to clarify the characteristics of Fuller's dance and costumes, and to analyze the modernism in both. To better understand Fuller's dance, this article talks about research on Fuller's career, dance, and Fuller's own biography. Stage costumes, letters for patent, and photographs were are also studied. The most important elements of Fuller's dance were her costumes and the electric lights which could make free style expressions a fantastic representation of dance. To clarify the modernity of Fuller's dance, first of all, this study researched Fuller's career in dance and then analyzed representations of Fuller's dances in visual arts; posters, sculptures and lastly, the characteristics of Fuller's stage costumes. As a result, this article analyzed characteristics of Fuller's dance in three points. First, Fuller used sculptures of silk cloth's drapery to express physical movements and actions. Second, Fuller used lighting and electrical effects that had just been developed in the late 19th Century. Third, Fuller made an application for patents against stage costume and stage mechanisms for her original shows. This study focused on $Lo{\ddot{i}}e$ Fuller's stage costumes which played a main role in expressing fantastic sculptures for the first time in costume, visual arts, and dance studies. This study clarifies the characteristics of the stage costumes in Fuller's dance and is estimated as pioneering and fundamental research.
This thesis chiefly to investigate and study about the historic transition of the dress and ornament which is based on the costume of the folk dance. The folk dance is devide into the styled of the Court and common people I. Investigated and studied on the description of Hak-mu (the crane), Ryun-wha-dae (the lotus blossom) and chu-yong dance (a mask drama) which are the typical models among the folk dance on the view of the scale and history of playing. This research materials are made on abstract of Ak-Hak-Gyae-Bum (the pattern of the music which was compiled by Sung-hyun on the King of Sung-Jong of Yi-dynasdty) and selected from the conservation material and playing in the National Classical Music Bureau nowadays. I am sure the understanding the style of common people is to investigate and research the folk dance which is specified and conserved by cultural property control Bureau. Generally Bong-San mask dance is the typical mask drama on the view of the scale and transmitted, which occupies the wide range of the folk dance. So I selected it as the research material. I am interested in the historic origin and the structure of the dress and ormant conserved till the nowadays and so can catch the hidden conception about the colour and concern of religion in the Korean peculiar living consciousness. From this point, the study of the classical folk costume is activated in this part and I hope this poor article will become a small assistance for another study.
The pattern of a dance had changed and made a progress delicately according to the change of the myth, religion, and civilization. One genre which had experienced the change for the dance is a mask dance. This dance started from wishes to adore spirit or god with imitated masks of native animals and desire to identify with nature. After the middle ages, it finally became to approach to the artistic state. In that dance, there was used a role of the head of the family which was strongly adapted to the shape of the mask as performing casts After studying symbolic characteristics of the mask dancing, we could conclude these as fol1ows.: First, Masks symbolized the totemism that adores spirit or god. This kind of whole masks were consistently used. Second, Mask was worn for expressing a dancer's cast well. This function of performing cast was in the primitive ages. However at the age which was characterized as the age of the art, the expression of using a mask became various. Third, Mask was mostly related to the head of the family and appeared with the desire to be others not themselves. Since the middle ages, this tendency continued to the modern dance. Now we can see this type at the carnival. The mask was not only an effective means of dance but also an expression of totemism, performing cast, and the head of the family. Therefore it contributed to the growth of the dance a lot.

In the field of dance creation, the use of film and television skills, cyberspace, action sets, computer graphics and other technology and media technology have made the creative environment for dance art that it rapidly improves and presents a new situation. Especially in the dance creation part, VR technology can show many possibilities and can be used as a tool to fully satisfy the choreographer's intention and imagination. Therefore, this study analyzes the acceptance model of virtual reality technology in dance creative education, and we will examine the effect of social influence, shared trust, innovation, interest, and self-efficacy on perceived usefulness and perceived ease. Second, we will examine the effect of perceived usefulness and perceived ease on intention to use. The study is targeted at ordinary dance creators who currently reside in Hebei Province, China. The survey was conducted for approximately 30 days from March 16th to April 17th. The total number of valid samples collected was 377. The results of the identification of the hypotheses between variables based on the questionnaire data are as follows: Firstly, social influence, shared trust, innovation, interest, and self-efficacy have a positive impact on perceived usefulness, perceived ease. Secondly, perceived usefulness, perceived ease has a positive effect on the intention to use. In view of the above research results, the theoretical significance and limitations of this research and the future research directions are discussed in depth.
Aside from the Kangryung masked dance, a masque dance in the near of Ongjin county in Hwanghae province has been transmitted. This article was written by two researchers to investigate this fact in a new way. Inwoo Song had conducted a focus interview aimed at persons who came from Ongjin to South Korea and Hyungho Chung had been responsible for summarizing and analyzing the interview. Bonyoung and Suyoung were a place in which a navy admiral stayed and a very rich area. These two places and Kangryung invited and perfomed each other. They kept a competition relationship for the performance. For this reason, the masque dance had advanced in this area. Compared to Kangryung masked dance, this masked dance had a difference in the performance order including a lion dance. Malddukyi dance was expressed in detail in the first part and Hanryang dance was performed independently in the middle of the dance. Sangjwa dance among dances was considered important. Also a lively Malddukyi dance was a scale which measured the skill of the dance. Chwiballyi starred in the dance. The mask was made from a paper and had a grotesque ghost face. This dance was played around Dan-oh. The music accompaniment was conducted by professional musician group, "Kyungjanpae", who lived in the vicinity. They had talents such as masked dance, tightrope dancing, tumbling in addition to music accompaniment. Especially, a local shaman took part in the Bonyoung masked dance and leaded an excorcism after the death of Halmi. Also, in the part of the Kwangdaedaegam gut, the shaman and village people put on the mask and danced together. Therefore, a shaman was closely connected with a local masked dance. After the Korean war, Kangryung masked dance was restored but Bongyoung and Sogang masked dance was not transmitted at all. This article will be helpful for completing the script and restoring the Bongyoung and Sogang masked dance.
The purpose is to identify the impact of perfectionism among middle and high school students majoring in dance on competition anxiety and dance immersion. 279 people were collected by means of a significant collection and survey tools were used in questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted for t-test, one-way random analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. There was a significant difference between perfectionist tendencies and competitive anxiety. There was a significant difference in perfectionism in dance immersion. There is a causal relationship between perfectionist tendencies and competitive anxiety and dance immersion. In order to increase dance immersion among middle and high school students, it is important to identify factors that can increase dance immersion by exploring various psychological factors.
