  • Marketing stress testing is a new method of identifying the company's strengths and weaknesses in a turbulent environment. Technically, this is a complex procedure, so it involves artificial intelligence and machine learning. The main problem is currently the development of methodological approaches to the development of the company's digital model, which will provide a framework for machine learning. The aim of the study was to identify and develop an author's approach to the parameterization of the company's business processes for machine learning-based marketing stress testing. This aim provided the company's activities to be considered as a set of elements (business processes, products) and factors that affect them (marketing environment). The article proposes an author's approach to the parameterization of the company's business processes for machine learning-based marketing stress testing. The proposed approach includes four main elements that are subject to parameterization: elements of the company's internal environment, factors of the marketing environment, the company' core competency and factors impacting the company. Matrices for evaluating the results of the work of expert groups to determine the degree of influence of the marketing environment factors were developed. It is proposed to distinguish between mega-level, macro-level, meso-level and micro-level factors depending on the degree of impact on the company. The methodological limitation of the study is that it involves the modelling method as the only one possible at this stage of the study. The implementation limitation is that the proposed approach can only be used if the company plans to use machine learning for marketing stress testing.

  • Softwares, especially like machine learning applications, affect human's life style tremendously. Accordingly, the importance of the cost model for softwares increases rapidly. As cost models, LOC(Line of Code) and M/M(Man-Month) estimates the quantitative aspects of the software. Differently from them, FP(Function Point) focuses on estimating the functional characteristics of software. FP is efficient in the aspect that it estimates qualitative characteristics. FP, however, has a limit for evaluating machine learning softwares because FP does not evaluate the critical factors of machine learning software. In this paper, we propose an extended function point(ExFP) that extends FP to adopt hyper parameter and the complexity of its optimization as the characteristics of the machine learning applications. In the evaluation reflecting the characteristics of machine learning applications. we reveals the effectiveness of the proposed ExFP.

  • Background and Objectives: There is limited evidence regarding machine-learning prediction for the recurrence of atrial fibrillation (AF) after electrical cardioversion (ECV). This study aimed to predict the recurrence of AF after ECV using machine learning of clinical features and electrocardiograms (ECGs) in persistent AF patients. Methods: We analyzed patients who underwent successful ECV for persistent AF. Machine learning was designed to predict patients with 1-month recurrence. Individual 12-lead ECGs were collected before and after ECV. Various clinical features were collected and trained the extreme gradient boost (XGBoost)-based model. Ten-fold cross-validation was used to evaluate the performance of the model. The performance was compared to the C-statistics of the selected clinical features. Results: Among 718 patients (mean age 63.5±9.3 years, men 78.8%), AF recurred in 435 (60.6%) patients after 1 month. With the XGBoost-based model, the areas under the receiver operating characteristic curves (AUROCs) were 0.57, 0.60, and 0.63 if the model was trained by clinical features, ECGs, and both (the final model), respectively. For the final model, the sensitivity, specificity, and F1-score were 84.7%, 28.2%, and 0.73, respectively. Although the AF duration showed the best predictive performance (AUROC, 0.58) among the clinical features, it was significantly lower than that of the final machine-learning model (p<0.001). Additional training of extended monitoring data of 15-minute single-lead ECG and photoplethysmography in available patients (n=261) did not significantly improve the model's performance. Conclusions: Machine learning showed modest performance in predicting AF recurrence after ECV in persistent AF patients, warranting further validation studies.

  • In hospitals, nurses are subjectively determining the urine status to check the kidneys and circulatory system of patients whose statuses are related to patients with kidney disease, critically ill patients, and nursing homes before and after surgery. To improve this problem, this paper proposes a urine spectrum analysis system which clusters urine test results based on a hybrid machine learning model consists of unsupervised learning and supervised learning. The proposed system clusters the spectral data using unsupervised learning in the first part, and classifies them using supervised learning in the second part. The results of the proposed urine spectrum analysis system using a mixed model are evaluated with the results of pure supervised learning. This paper is expected to provide better services than existing medical services to patients by solving the shortage of nurses, shortening of examination time, and subjective evaluation in hospitals.

  • We present an overview of the Extensional Object Model (ExOM) and describe in detail the learning and classification components which integrate concepts from machine learning and object-oriented databases. The ExOM emphasizes flexibility in information acquisition, learning, and classification which are useful to support tasks such as diagnosis, planning, design, and database mining. As a vehicle to integrate machine learning and databases, the ExOM supports a broad range of learning and classification methods and integrates the learning and classification components with traditional database functions. To ensure the integrity of ExOM databases, a subsumption testing rule is developed that encompasses categories defined by type expressions as well as concept definitions generated by machine learning algorithms. A prototype of the learning and classification components of the ExOM is implemented in Smalltalk/V Windows.

  • Image morphing methods make seamless transition changes in the image and mask the meaningful information attached to it. This can be detected by traditional machine learning algorithms and new emerging deep learning algorithms. In this research work, scope of different Hybrid learning approaches having combination of Deep learning and Machine learning are being analyzed with the public dataset CASIA V1.0, CASIA V2.0 and DVMM to find the most efficient algorithm. The simulated results with CNN (Convolution Neural Network), Hybrid approach of CNN along with SVM (Support Vector Machine) and Hybrid approach of CNN along with Random Forest algorithm produced 96.92 %, 95.98 and 99.18 % accuracy respectively with the CASIA V2.0 dataset having 9555 images. The accuracy pattern of applied algorithms changes with CASIA V1.0 data and DVMM data having 1721 and 1845 set of images presenting minimal accuracy with Hybrid approach of CNN and Random Forest algorithm. It is confirmed that the choice of best algorithm to find image forgery depends on input data type. This paper presents the combination of best suited algorithm to detect image morphing with different input datasets.

  • The majority of product users rely on the reviews that are posted on the appropriate website. Both users and the product's manufacturer could benefit from these reviews. Daily, thousands of reviews are submitted; how is it possible to read them all? Sentiment analysis has become a critical field of research as posting reviews become more and more common. Machine learning techniques that are supervised, unsupervised, and semi-supervised have worked very hard to harvest this data. The complicated and technological area of feature engineering falls within machine learning. Using deep learning, this tedious process may be completed automatically. Numerous studies have been conducted on deep learning models like LSTM, CNN, RNN, and GRU. Each model has employed a certain type of data, such as CNN for pictures and LSTM for language translation, etc. According to experimental results utilizing a publicly accessible dataset with reviews for all of the models, both positive and negative, and CNN, the best model for the dataset was identified in comparison to the other models, with an accuracy rate of 81%.

  • Underwater acoustics, which is the study of phenomena related to sound waves in water, has been applied mainly in research on the use of sound navigation and range (SONAR) systems for communication, target detection, investigation of marine resources and environments, and noise measurement and analysis. The main objective of underwater acoustic remote sensing is to obtain information on a target object indirectly by using acoustic data. Presently, various types of machine learning techniques are being widely used to extract information from acoustic data. The machine learning techniques typically used in underwater acoustics and their applications in passive SONAR systems were reviewed in the first two parts of this work (Yang et al., 2020a; Yang et al., 2020b). As a follow-up, this paper reviews machine learning applications in SONAR signal processing with a focus on active target detection and classification.

  • PURPOSES: This study suggests a specific methodology for the prediction of road surface temperature using vehicular ambient temperature sensors. In addition, four kind of models is developed based on machine learning algorithms. METHODS : Thermal Mapping System is employed to collect road surface and vehicular ambient temperature data on the defined survey route in 2015 and 2016 year, respectively. For modelling, all types of collected temperature data should be classified into response and predictor before applying a machine learning tool such as MATLAB. In this study, collected road surface temperature are considered as response while vehicular ambient temperatures defied as predictor. Through data learning using machine learning tool, models were developed and finally compared predicted and actual temperature based on average absolute error. RESULTS : According to comparison results, model enables to estimate actual road surface temperature variation pattern along the roads very well. Model III is slightly better than the rest of models in terms of estimation performance. CONCLUSIONS : When correlation between response and predictor is high, when plenty of historical data exists, and when a lot of predictors are available, estimation performance of would be much better.

  • Due to the lack of visualization services and organic combinations between public and private buildings data, the usability of the basic map has remained low. To address this issue, this paper reports on a solution that organically combines public and private data while providing visualization services to general users. For this purpose, factors that can affect building prices first were examined in order to define the related data attributes. To extract the relevant data attributes, this paper presents a method of acquiring public information data and real estate-related information, as provided by private real estate portal sites. The paper also proposes a pretreatment process required for intelligent machine learning. This report goes on to suggest an intelligent machine learning algorithm that predicts buildings' value pricing and future value by using big data regarding buildings' spatial information, as acquired from a database containing building value attributes. The algorithm's availability was tested by establishing a prototype targeting pilot areas, including Suwon, Anyang, and Gunpo in South Korea. Finally, a prototype visualization solution was developed in order to allow general users to effectively use buildings' value ranking and value pricing, as predicted by intelligent machine learning.
