IMT-2000용 단말기 내장형 유전체 세라믹 안테나 설계 (Design of internal dielectric ceramic antennas for IMT-2000 handset)

  • In this paper, internal antennas for IMT-2000 handset(1.92∼2.17 GHz) were designed to be capable of being mounted on the circuit-board with a CPW(coplanar waveguide) feeding structure. The chip antennas were miniaturized to a greater extent by fabricating multilayer high dielectric ceramic($\varepsilon$$\sub$r/=7.8) hexahedron. The proposed antennas has λ/4 monopole element with helical structure in the multilayer dielectric ceramic hexahedron. The simulated and measured results were invesgated with width, length, and thickness of helical structure in the hexahedron.

  • Electroluminescence(EL) devices based on organic thin layers have attracted lot of interests because of their possible application as large-area display-emitting display. One of the problems of such devices is lifetime of the cell, where the degradation of the cell is partially due to the crystalliyzation of organic layers. In large part, this problem can be solved by using a multilayer device structure prepared by vapor deposition technique. In this study, blue light-emitting multilayer organic electroluminescence devices were fabricated vsing Poly (9-vinylcarbaEole) (PVK) and 2- (4-tert-butylphenyl)-5-(4$^{#}$-bis-phenyl) 1,3,4-oxadiazole (PBO) as hole trasport and electron transport material, respectively, where trim(8-hyd roxyquinolinate) aluminum (Al $q_3$) was used as a luminescenct material. A cell structure of glass sub- strate/indume-tin-oxide(ITO)/PCK/Al $q_3$/PBD/Mg:In was employed. Blue emission peak at 510nm was observed with this cell structure.e.

  • We propose a new Dynamic Multilayer Perceptorn(DMP) architecture for optimal model identification of complex and nonlinear system in this paper. The proposed DMP scheme is presented as the generic and advanced type based on the GMDH(Group Method of Data Handling) method for the limitation of GMDH under only two system input variables. It is worth stressing that the number of the layers and the nodes in each layer of the DMP are not predetermined, unlike in the case of the popular multilayer perceptron structure, but these are generated in a dynamic manner. The experimental part of the study comes with representative nonlinear static system. Comparative analysis is included and shows that a new DMP can produce the model with higher accuracy than previous other works.

  • In this study, m order to develop multilayer ceramics vibrator for ultrasonic nozzle, PMN-PNN-PZT ceramics were fabricated using $Li_2CO_3-Na_2CO_3$ as sintering aids and their piezoelectric and dielectric characteristics were investigated according to the aomunt of PbO. With increasing PbO contents. secondary phases were increased and phase structure were changed from tetragonal structure to rhombohedral structure and also electromechanical coupling factor were linearly decreased. At the composition ceramics with the sintering temperature of $870^{\circ}C$ and 1 mol% excess PbO, density, electromechanical coupling factor, dielectric constant, piezoelectric d constant and mechanical quality factor showed the optimum value of $7.879g/cm^2$, 0.55, 1149, 328pC/N, 1224, respectively for multilayer ceramics vibrator application for ultrasonic nozzle.

  • In this study, multilayer structured ultrasonic linear motor was simulated using Atila for investigating its optimum driving conditions. The ultrasonic linear motors mainly consist of an ultrasonic vibrator to generate elliptical displacement. The ultrasonic linear motor simulated in this paper was the use of the 1st longitudinal(Ll) and 4th bending vibrations (B4). Whit the increase of the number of piezoelectric actuator layers, displacement of node was increased. Maximum total displacement of node was about $3,91{\mu}m$ at the 13 layered ultrasonic motor under 5 V.

  • We demonstrate small-scale high-T$_c$ superconductor RSFQ(Rapid Single Flux Quantum) circuits using multilayer bicrystal technology. An RSFQ balanced comparator is demonstrated with good current resolution, and its operating conditions are discussed in some detail. A single-loop delta-sigma modulator is realized adding a feedback loop to the comparator. The effect of the feedback is confirmed by dc measurement and simulation. A design of an RSFQ toggle flip-flop with the same multilayer bicrystal technology is suggested.

  • Multilayer feedforward networks may be applied to identify the deterministic relationship between input and output data. When the results from the network require a high level of assurance, considering of the stochastic relationship between the data may be very important. The variance is one of the useful parameters to represent the stochastic relationship. This paper presents a new algorithm for a multilayer feedforward network to learn the variance of dispersed data without preliminary calculation of variance. In this paper, the network with this learning algorithm is named as a variance learning neural network(VALEAN). Computer simulation examples are utilized for the demonstration and the evaluation of VALEAN.

  • Characteristics of indium-zinc-oxide (IZO)-Ag-IZO multilayer grown on a PET substrate were investigated for flexible organic emitting diodes. By inserting very thin Ag layer between amorphous IZO, IZO-Ag-IZO (IAI) multilayer anode exhibited remarkably reduced sheet resistance and high transmittance due to the surface plasmon resonance effect and Ag layer.

  • We report on the Ag thickness effect on the electrical and optical properties of indium zinc tin oxide (IZTO)-Ag-IZTO multilayer electrode grown on a PET substrate and the surface plasmon effect of Ag layer on the optical properties of IZTO-Ag-IZTO electrode. Using an IZTO-Ag-IZTO multilayer with a total thickness below ~80 nm, we can obtain high-quality flexible electrode with very low sheet resistance, high transmittance, high work function and superior flexibility.

저온소결 PMN-PNN-PZT세라믹스의 소결온도에 따른 미세구조 및 강유전특성 (Microstructure and Ferroelectric Properties of Low Temperature Sintering PMN-PNN-PZT Ceramics with Sintering Temperature)

  • In this study, in order to develop the low temperature sintering multilayer piezoelectric actuator, PMN-PNN-PZT system ceramics were manufactured and their microstructure, ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties were investigated. By increasing sintering temperature, remanent polarization$(P_r)$ was increased due to the increase of sinterability and grain size. However, coercive $field(E_c)$ showed an opposite tendency to remanent polarization owing to the feasibility of domain wall motion. At the sintering temperature of $900^{\circ}C$, dielectric $constant({\varepsilon}_r)$, electromechanical coupling $factor(k_p)$, piezoelectric $constant(d_{33})$ and mechanical quality $factor(Q_m)$ showed the optimal value of 1095, 0.60, 363 and 1055, respectively, for multilayer piezoelectric actuator application.
