메탈젯을 이용한 전도성 배선 형성 방법과 평가 (Conductive line manufacturing method and evaluation using a metal jet)

  • 최근 나노 금속의 대량 생산에 대한 기술이 확보됨에 따라, 메탈젯을 이용한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 메탈젯의 연구 범위는 RFID, PCB, MLCC 전극, 태양전지전극, PDP 전극, EMC용재료 등 그 응용 범위를 넓혀 가고 있다. 이러한 응용 기술 대표적인 배선형성 기술인 PCB 제조에 대한 연구는 40um 이하의 고해상도 기판 개발을 요구하고 있다. 선폭은 40um 이하를 유지하면서, 두께는 10um 이상으로 CCL을 대체 하기 위한 기판 형성 기술은 응용기술은 가장 어려운 난이도의 기술이다. 메탈젯 기술은 매우 복합적인 연구분야로 나노 재료의 개발, 인쇄공정의 개발, 기재 표면처리 기술, 헤드 기술의 개발을 동시에 만족할 때 가능하다. 배선 형성을 위하여 나노 잉크를 이용하여 직접 인쇄를 진행하고, 소결하여 전도성을 얻게 된다. 본 연구에서는 미세노즐에 토출 가능한 잉크젯용 잉크 조성을 결정하고, 기판과의 신뢰성을 확보하기 위하여 접착력의 평가, 전도도의 평가, 건조 시간 조절을 통한 Crack 문제 해결, 미세 선폭의 균일성 조절에 관한 실험을 진행하였다.

막증류 공정의 전처리 공정으로서 천연 제올라이트 컬럼 적용 (Scalants removal from synthetic RO brine using natural zeolite)

  • Membrane distillation (MD) is the thermally driven water separation process based on the vapor pressure difference across the membrane. In order to increase the water recovery of the conventional RO process, the additional MD-PRO pocess was suggested. In this study, the syntheric RO brine was used as a feed solution of the MD process. Due to the high salinity of the RO brine, the MD membrane could be fouled by the scalants. In order to mitigate the scaling on the MD membrane surface, the pre-treatment process using the column filled by natural zeolite was applied. The roughing filter was installed between the pre-treatment process and MD system in order to prevent possible particulate fouling by the debries of the natural zeolite. Moreover, in order to enhance the CEC of the natural zeolite, the NaCl soaking was conducted. The flux and electronic conductivity were monitored under given experimental conditions. And the membrane morphology and the chemical compositions were analyzed by using the SEM-EDX.

비둘기 및 수생조류(水生鳥類) 유래(由來) Salmonella typhimurium의 생물화학적(生物化學的) 특성(特性)과 plasmid profile에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (Studies on the biochemical characteristics and plasmid profiles of Salmonella typhimurium isolated from pigeons and aquatic birds)

  • A total of 166 strains of Salmonella (S) typhimurium var copenhagen isolated from pigeons (164 strains) and aquatic birds (2 strains) were examined for the biochemical characteristics and plasmid profiles. All the strains were sensitive to ampicillin, chloramphenicol, gentamicin, kanamycin and sulfadimethoxine. But 13 strains(7.8%) were resistant to streptomycin (Sm), 2 (1.2%) to tetracycline, 2 (1.2%) to rifampicin, and 1 (0.6%) to nalidixic acid. Among drug resistant strains, only one strain resistant to Sm contained conjugative R plasmid which was fertility inhibition and incompatibility group $I_{\alpha}$. All the strains were sensitive to cobalt chloride, cupric sulfate, lead nitrate, mercuric chloride and silver nitrate. Of 166 isolates, 6 (3.6%) were resistant to sodium arsenate and 1 (0.6%) to potassium tellurite. Among 166 isolates, 1 (0.6%) was colicinogenic, 12 (7.2%) sucrose fermenters, and 166 (100%) maltose fermenters. Plasmid profiles were confirmed as being 4 or 5 plasmids, and their molecular weight ranged 3.2 to 60 megadalton (MD). All the strains harbored 60 Md plasmid. There are three patterns by the plasmid profile, 150 isolates (90.4%) were pattern I (3.2, 3.5, 33, 60Md), 14 (8.4%) pattern II (3.2, 3.5, 29, 60Md), and 2 (1.2%) pattern III (4.2, 7.8, 8.5, 15, 60Md). S typhimurium var copenhagen strains containing 60Md plasmid were resistant to killing by 90% normal guinea pig serum.

한국성인의 측모에 관한 두부방사선학적 연구 (A ROENTGENOCEPHALOMETRIC STUDY FOR THE ACCEPTABLE PROFILE IN KOREAN ADULTS)

  • The primary objective of this study was to analyze the hard and soft tissue profile and comparison of the both sexes in Korean adults using roentgenocephalometry. The subjects were 122 males and 116 females from 18 to 22 years of age selected on the basis of their excellent occlusion and harmonious profile. It was an investigation about the interrelationships in the angles which consisted of Frankfort horizontal plane (FH plane), Sella Nasion plane (SN plane), Nasal floor plane (NF plane) and Mandibular plane (Md plane) as reference planes, and of the axial inclinations of the upper anterior tooth to Nasal floor plane (NF Plane) and of the lower anterior tooth to Mandibular plane (Md Plane). Among the 14 categories estabilishied on the soft tissue land marks, the 6 categories were studied for the relationship to Frankfort horizontal plane (FH Plane), and the 8 categories were studied for the soft tissue contour. The results were as follows: 1. Among 8 measured angles in the hard tissue, the angle of FH-Md, NF-Md and SN-Md were greater in females than in males. 2. The axial inclinations of the anterior teeth to NF Plane and Md plane were slightly greater in males than In females. 3. Among 14 measured angles in the soft tissue, the angles of G-Sn-P and E-Pog-Sn were greater in males, and FH-G-Sn, GㆍSn-Sn. Pog and Pog-Sn-P were greater in females. 4. In males, the variability of measured values in both lips region were high.

Assessment of probiotic potential of Lactobacillus reuteri MD5-2 isolated from ceca of Muscovy ducks

  • Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) are commonly used as probiotics in poultry. The present study employed in vitro and in vivo methods to select and test LAB isolated from Muscovy duck ceca as potential probiotics. In the in vitro study, 50 LAB were isolated from Muscovy duck ceca and tested for growth inhibition against Salmonella (S.) Enteritidis. Eleven isolates strongly inhibited S. Enteritidis and only 1 isolate (MD5-2) showing the strongest inhibition was selected for identification. This isolate was called as Lactobacillus (L.) reuteri MD5-2. For the in vivo investigation, 90 1-day-old Muscovy ducks were randomly assigned into three groups of 30 animals each (group 1, control; group 2, treated with $10^8$ colony-forming unit (CFU) of L. reuteri MD5-2 orally once on day 1; and group 3, treated with $10^8CFU$ of L. reuteri MD5-2 orally once daily from days 1 to 5). The ducks were housed in three large cages and raised for 50 days, after which body weight, duodenal villus height and crypt depth were measured. Both villus height and villus height to crypt depth ratio were significantly greater in group 3 than in groups 1 and 2. In conclusion, further investigation of L. reuteri MD5-2 as a potential probiotic strain is warranted.

경옥고의 임상 효능 : 체계적 고찰 (Clinical Effect of Gyeongok-go: A Systematic Review of Randomized Controlled Trials)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to confirm the clinical efficacy of Gyeongok-go. Methods: Public/Publisher MEDLINE (PubMed), Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), Excerpta Medica dataBASE (EMBASE), Research Information Sharing Service (RISS), ScienceON, Korean Traditional Knowledge Portal (KTKP), and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) were searched for randomized controlled clinical trials administering Gyeongok-go as an intervention, published from inception to December 31, 2021. The risk-of-bias of the included trials was assessed with the Cochrane risk-of-bias tool for randomized trials version 2. From the experimental and control groups of the selected trials, the mean value (or rate) of each outcome was extracted and statistically compared. Results: Statistically significant mean differences were in VO2max (MD 6.82), post-exercise heart rate (MD -8.76 at 5 min, -11.58 at 30 min, -14.6 at 60 min), senescence scale (MD -6.52), Th1 cells and Th2 cells in pulmonary tuberculosis (MD 2.79 and -1.64), yin-deficient and qi-deficient score (MD -9.64 and -9.76), and phlegm-dampness score (MD 5.56). Overall risk-of-bias was 20% low risk, 80% some concerns, and 0% high risk. There were no reports of adverse events. Conclusions: Gyeongok-go is likely to have the effect of improving cardiorespiratory endurance, increasing fatigue recovery ability, reducing senescence, and enhancing immune function in tuberculosis patients. Also, it is more suitable for those who are yin-deficient or qi-deficient, and those with phlegm-dampness probably need caution.

  • Madelung's disease (MD) otherwise known as Launois-Bensaude syndrome, multiple symmetrical lipomatosis, or benign symmetric lipomatosis, is a rare disease characterized by abnormal diffuse lipomatosis in proximal upper limbs and neck. Here, we report a rare case of MD. A 66-year-old man presented with massive growth of soft tissues in the cervico-occipital region of more than 2 years duration. Physical examination showed diffuse enlargement of the anterior neck (Madelung's collar) and three huge humps at the posterior neck. Under a diagnosis of MD, lipectomy via a single anterior transverse incision and liposuction were performed. This rare case report may be helpful for assessing patients with abnormal diffuse lipomatosis in the neck and proximal upper limbs.

  • 1998년 1월초 보잉사는 옛 맥도널더글라스사에서 개발해온 소형여객기 MD-95-30을 새로이 보잉 717-200으로 개칭하고 개발·생산을 계속한다고 발표했다. 동 717 모델의 명칭은 40여년전인 1956년 8월 31일에 처녀 비행한 미공군의 KC-135A Stratotanker 공중급유기에 주어진 이름으로 MD-95는 717의 기종명을 가진 두번째 항공기가 되었다.

대식세포주에서 베타-글루칸에 의한 염증성 사이토카인의 발현 (Expression of Inflammatory Cytokines by Beta-glucan in Macrophage Cell Line)

  • Immune system can protect host attacking from a variety of microorganism and virus through innate and adaptive immunities. The innate immune system can be activated by recognition of conserved carbohydrates on the cell surface of pathogen resulting in protection, immunity regulation and inflammation. Immunostimulating and anti-tumor ${\beta}$-glucan, major cell wall component of many fungi, could be recognized as pathogen associated molecular pattern (PAMP) by C-type lectin such as pathogen recognition receptor (PRR) of host innate immunity cells. In spite of many studies of basidiomycetes ${\beta}$-glucan on immunostimulation, little is known about the precise mechanism as molecular-level. Among C-type lectins, dectin-1 was cloned and reported as a ${\beta}$-glucan receptor. In this report, we demonstrated induction of cytokine gene transcription by Ganoderma lucidum ${\beta}$-glucan in the absence or presence of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) by RT-PCR analysis. The expression of murine dectin-1 (MD-1) on RAW264.7 macrophage by RT-PCR showing both the full length, 757 bp $(MD-1{\alpha})$ and alternative spliced form, 620 bp $(MD-1{\beta})$. Both $MD-1{\alpha}$ and $MD-1{\beta}$ mRNAs were induced by ${\beta $-glucan both in the absence and presence of LPS. To explore expression of inflammatory cytokines by ${\beta}$-glucan, RAW264.7 cells were treated with ${\beta}$-glucan for 12 hours. As a result, the expressions of IL-1 IL-6, IL-l0 and $TNF-{\alpha}$ were increased by ${\beta}$-glucan treatment in a dose-dependent fashion. From these results, ${\beta}$-glucan induced transcriptions of dectin-1 and immune activating cytokine genes, indicating induction of immune allertness by expressing dectin-1 and secreting inflammatory cytokines.

소아에서 발생한 천공성 메켈게실 (Perforation of Meckel's Diverticulum in Children)

  • Meckel's diverticulum (MD) occurs in approximately 2 % of the population. The major complications of MD are bleeding, intestinal obstruction, infection and perforation. Perforation is the least common but most serious complication, the incidence od which is about 5-10 %. The causes of perforation are inflammatory diverticulitis and peptie ulceration. the purpose of study is to review the characteristics of perforated MD in children. Six patients with perforated MD who had been operated upon at the Department of Pediatric Surgery, Yeungnam University Hospital from April 1984 to July 2001 were included. Male predominated in a ratio of 5:1 and there were 2 neonates. The chief complaints were abdominal pain and distension. Half of the children showed a past history of bloody stools. The average age was 4 year and 9 months. The mean distance from the ileocecal valve to the diverticulum was 60 cm. Average length of the diverticulum was approximately 3 cm and width was 1.7 cm. The perforation site was the tip of the diverticulum in 3 cases, the base in 2 cases and along the lateral border in one. In two patients, ectopic gastric mucosa was found in the specimen. All of the patients were operated upon with a diagnosis of peritonitis of unknown etiology. In conclusion, when a child shows symptoms of acute abdomen or peritonitis, especially in boys, with the history of bloody stools and episodic abdominal pain, perforated MD should be suspected.
