  • To investigate the actual vegetation and the degree of green naturality(DGN) in Gaya Mountain National Park, forest communities were classified by phytosocialogical analysis according to physiognomy and Braun-Blanquet methods. Major forest communities were as follows: 1. Pinus densiflora community 1) P. densiflora-Rhododendron mucronulatum subcommunity 2) P. densiflora-Lespedeza maximowiczii subcommunity 3) P. densiflora-Sasa borealis subcommunity 4) P. densiflora-Carex siderosticta subcommunity 2. Quercus mongolica community group. 1) Q. mongolica-Rhododendron schlippenbachii community a) Typical subcommunity b) Vaccinium koreanum subcommunity 2) Q. mongolica-Sasa borealis community 3) Q. mongolica-Lespedeza maximowiczii community 3. • In this paper, we propose and observe the Adaptive Modulation system with optimal Turbo Coded V-BLAST(Vertical-Bell-lab Layered Space-Time) technique that is applied the extrinsic information from MAP Decoder in decoding Algorithm of V-BLAST: ordering and slicing. And comparing the proposed system with the Adaptive Modulation system using conventional Turbo Coded V-BLAST technique that is simply combined V-BLAST with Turbo Coding scheme, we observe how much throughput performance and SNR has been improved. In addition, we show that the proposed system using STD(Selection Transmit Diversity) scheme results in on improved result, By using simulation and comparing to conventional Turbo Coded V-BLAST technique with the Adaptive Modulation systems, the optimal Turbo Coded V-BLAST technique with the Adaptive Modulation systems has SNR gain over all SNR range and better throughput gain that is about 350Kbps in 11dB SNR range. Also, comparing with the conventional Turbo Coded V-BLAST technique using 2 transmit and 2 receive antennas, the proposed system with STD scheme show that the improvement of maximum throughput is about 1.77Mbps in the same SNR range and the SNR gain is about 5.88dB to satisfy 4Mbps throughput performance.

  • We have carried out $^{13}CO$ J = 1 $\to$ 0 line observations with spatial resolution of 2' toward 17 small globules selected from the catalogue of Clemens & Barvainis (1988) with a selection criterion of [b] $\ge$ 15 degrees using the Nagoya 4-m radio telescope. Overall characteristics and physical parameters are presented and discussed by examining the $^{13}CO$ integrated intensity map for each of the globules.

  • We define and study a concept of $T_A$-space which is closely related to the generalized Gottlieb group. We know that X is a $T_A$-space if and only if there is a map $r:L(A,\;X){\rightarrow}L_0(A,\;X)$ called a $T_A$-structure such that $ri{\sim}1_{L_0(A,\;X)}$. The concepts of $T_{{\Sigma}B}$-spaces are preserved by retraction and product. We also introduce and study a dual concept of $T_A$-space.

  • We firstly present the unified Far-UV continuum map of the Taurus-Auriga-Perseus (TPA) complex, one of the largest local associations of dark cloud located in (l, b)=([152,180], [-28, 0]), by merging both FIMS and GALEX. The FUV continuum map shows that dust extinction correlate well with the FUV around the complex. It says strong absorption in the dense Taurus cloud and Auriga cloud. Although the column density of Perseus and California cloud is similar to Taurus' and Auriga's, Perseus and California cloud do not show strong absorption in FUV because they are more distant than Taurus and Auriga cloud. We also present the dust scattering simulation based on Monte Carlo Radiative Transfer technique. Through the result of Monte-Carlo dust scattering simulation and comparing the result with FIMS-GALEX unified map we gain deeper understanding related to the spatial dust distribution of TPA region. As a preliminary result of the simulation we present the most probable front face, thickness, albedo, and asymmetry factor in this region, respectively. Through this work we can show a certain inclination of the spatial dust distribution. During this study we have developed the FUV dust scattering simulation code using Monte-Carlo method. We expect that it will be generally used to simulate dust scattering in the Galaxy.

  • The purpose of the study was aimed to evaluate the BOLD contrast fMRI in occipital lobe and compare this imaging with metabolite changes based on $^1H$ MRS and MRSI before and after visual stimulation. As a result, the activation map were sucessfully produced by thresholding with minimum cross-correlate value of 0.45. In MRS, NAA/Cr ratio is almost same. however, latate was elevated almost 9 times higher than before activation. Lactate metabolic images were consistent with the BOLD effect map. The BOLD contrast fMRI is not enough to detect the activation area in human brain. so, the other modality was required such as lactate metabolic map.

  • Let $1{\;}\leq{\;}p{\;}\infty{\;}and{\;}{\alpha}{\;}>{\;}-1$. If f is a holomorphic self-map of the open unit disc U of C with f(0) = 0, then the quantity $\int_U\;\{\frac{$\mid$f'(z)$\mid$}{1\;-\;$\mid$f(z)$\mid$^2}\}^p\;(1\;-\;$\mid$z$\mid$)^{\alpha+p}dxdy$ is equivalent to the operator norm of the composition operator $C_f{\;}:{\;}B{\;}\rightarrow{\;}A^{p,{\alpha}$ defined by $C_fh{\;}={\;}h{\;}\circ{\;}f{\;}-{\;}h(0)$, where B and $A^{p,{\alpha}$ are the Bloch space and the weighted Bergman space on U respectively.

  • Image and it's processing techniques are widely applied and very important in the recent IT environment. In this paper, we try to reconstruct original BMP(Bitmap) image into indexed image and codebook utilizing vector quantization and represent high quality image only with same pixel depth of previous indexed image like JPEG etc. That is, By adopting common map method onto index image with $2^n$ color codebook, image can be represented as high quality as $2^{n+1}$ color codebook. When proposed output image is compared with original BMP image, it provides as much around 2dB as higher PSNR than conventional 8 bit index image(normal JPEG). Furthermore, this improvement(2 dB higher PSNR) could be provided when using the 9 bit indexed image.

  • This study attempted to examine whether the propeller diffusion weighted image method may remove magnetic susceptibility artifacts caused by metallic materials. A comparison of occurrence rates of magnetic susceptibility artifacts in the four regions, both temporal lobes, pons, and orbit, between b = 0 and b = 1,000 s/mm2 images was made after obtaining echo-planar diffusion weighted image, propeller diffusion weighted image, and ADC map images, respectively, from a total of 20 patients who had MRI shots taken of their brain and were found to be with retained metallic foreign bodies within their teeth using a 3.0T MR scanner. In the case of echo-planar diffusion weighted image technique, the presence of metallic materials may bring in some limits on accurate diagnosis due to magnetic susceptibility artifacts, while the propeller diffusion weighted image technique where magnetic susceptibility artifacts decrease is expected to be more useful in ensuring accurate diagnosis in the clinical context.

  • The author considers a Noor-type iterative scheme to approximate com- mon fixed points of an infinite family of uniformly quasi-sup(fn)-Lipschitzian map- pings and an infinite family of gn-expansive mappings in convex cone metric spaces. His results generalize, improve and unify some corresponding results in convex met- ric spaces [1, 3, 9, 16, 18, 19] and convex cone metric spaces [8].
