Artificial intelligence or big data technologies can benefit finance companies such as those in the insurance sector. With artificial intelligence, companies can develop better customer segmentation methods and eventually improve the quality of customer relationship management. However, the application of AI-based customer segmentation in the insurance industry seems to have been unsuccessful. Findings from our interviews with sales agents and customer service managers indicate that current customer segmentation in the Korean insurance company relies upon individual agents' heuristic decisions rather than a generalizable data-based method. We propose guidelines for AI-based customer segmentation for the insurance industry, based on the CRISP-DM standard data mining project framework. Our proposed guideline provides new insights for studies on AI-based technology implementation and has practical implications for companies that deploy algorithm-based customer relationship management systems.

Inadequate cost management has widely been recognized as one of the most problematic areas in the Korean construction industry as many believes that public cost references are not reasonably reflecting the market conditions. 'Total Project Cost Management Guideline' developed by Ministry of Economy and Finance(MOEF) to govern public budget control has been identified as one of the main reasons for this problem. This study attempts to thoroughly review 'Total Project Cost Management Guideline' itself and quantitatively analyze the impact of it on project cost during procurement process. Different procurement methods are considered including turnkey & alternative, private contract, qualification examination, and lowest price bidding system in this quantitative impact analysis of 'Total Project Cost Management Guideline'. Analysis results shows that this governmental process works mainly as a constant cost-cutting tool throughout the procurement process.

This article described the production problems, import conditions of organic livestock products and background of CODEX-guideline, and presented the counterplan for future organic livestock production policy. The essential counterplan for CODEX-guideline and construction of organic livestock production basis include ; - Specific funding of research and development for excellent livestock breeding with consideration of regional enviroment-friendly applications to improve the quality of organic livestock products, - Development of production potential and resources utilization of organic feeding stuffs in domestic and foreign countries, - Horizontal and vertical organization of organic livestock farming and multifarm cooperation, - Specialization of organic livestock farming, and construction for direct or indirect linkage markets and Agro-food corporation for closer cooperation between inner and outer factor of farm management, - Construction of recycling system for the enviroment-friendly utilization of animal excrements.

In the case of Korea, research on traffic management is insufficient to cover the increasing incidence of disaster. Furthermore, many of the traffic management manual does not touch up on how to administer/manage in case of disaster, except for the one made by 'Korea Expressway Corporation.' In response to this issue, this research is based on a thesis to establish concept of guideline for traffic management in the case of an disaster. In order to achieve this goal, there has been an analysis of the American's manual, molded and changed to be Korea-specific. In the future, based on the u-T circumstances are established, traffic management will become much more efficient. This paper presents important details and ways of management for each step of an disaster event: prevention, preparation, response and restoration.

This study aims at establishing master plan for efficient establishment of comprehensive drought management information system as non-structural drought counterplan which provides drought damage in advance. Domestic and abroad research related to drought were surveyed and analyzed through many literature and internet for systematic drought management information system. Long-term master plan for comprehensive drought management information system is divided into 3 steps. In first step, drought monitoring system including development of hydrological drought assessment index, drought outlook analysis method and GIS web based drought monitering system is established. In second step, water supply plan and guideline through water shortage danger assessment by areal characteristics is established. In third step, comprehensive management information system through export system linked to KORSIM and establishment of information shared system between each bureau related to drought. Based on this study, master plan for efficient development and application of drought management information system is proposed, it is expected to be applied as guideline for second and third step of drought management information system.

Sustainable development has become a growing concern throughout the world. Construction industry also has participated in the efforts to minimize the environmental impacts. In Korea, the government has already established the green construction certification(G-seed) and guidelines for sustainable construction. However, domestic guidelines are focused on the design and construction phase, not on the construction project. In addition, it is difficult to find instructions due to the complex structure based on the work unit. Therefore this study aims to deduct the component structure for sustainable construction guidelines in the planning, design and construction phases by utilizing the Factor Analysis. Following the literature review, a total of 26 criteria were identified. Further, a survey was conducted to capture the perceptions on the importance of the criteria. According to the factor analysis, the criteria can be grouped into 8 factors : Environmental factors management, Management planning, Cost and Design management, Energy management, Material management, Certification and regulation management, General Management and Others.

As a part of public design, private signboard should be designed to help convenience of people with the consideration of urban landscape simultaneously; however, the lack of legislated design regulations and ignorance of managing entities have resulted in uncontrolled installation of private signboards, ruining city view and causing confusion in delivering information. To appease this problem, each provincial city including Seoul is carrying out an improvement project based on its own sign management guideline. Therefore, it is timely needed to study the design satisfaction on the changed (or changing) private boards from the viewpoints of information delivery and visual environment. In this study, we investigated the design satisfaction of private signboards in Daejeon city (where very recently the improvement project has been undergoing based on its design guideline) in terms of visual factors, information delivery, and city landscape. We note that our study has its own significance to provide an empirical research on the design satisfaction of private signboards, which shows that people are mostly satisfied with the new design from aspects of visual factors, information delivery, and city landscape.

Purpose: This study was conducted to update nursing practice guidelines for intravenous infusion published in 2017. Methods: The guideline update process was carried out using 22 steps developed by NICE and SIGN. It was agreed to update domains related to central venous infusion therapy. Contents related to peripheral infusion would be updated later. Results: Updated guidelines for central venous infusion therapy consisted of 6 domains and 195 recommendations. The number of recommendations by domain was 11 for general instruction, 14 for central vascular access devices (CVAD) and add-on devices, 13 for nursing management before insertion of CVAD, 30 for management during insertion of CVAD, 51 for management after insertion of CVAD, and 76 for complications. A grade was 29 (14.9%), B grade was 87 (44.6%), and C grade was 79 (40.5%) in the strength of recommendations. A total of 37 (19.0%) recommendations were newly developed and 23 (12.3%) previous recommendations have been modified. The newly developed recommendations were mainly related to the infection control methods. Conclusion: The updated guideline is focused on safe maintenance of central venous infusion therapy. Through this guideline, it is hoped to minimize the occurrence of complications and improve the standardization and efficiency of nursing practice.

Purpose: This study was conducted to update the existing evidence-based nursing clinical practice guideline for indwelling urinary catheterization (IUC). Methods: The guideline have been revised in 22 steps based on international standards. The quality of the practice guidelines to be used for revision was evaluated using the Appraisal of Guidelines for Research and Evaluation II. The evaluation of the content appropriateness and applicability of the draft recommendations of the revised practice guidelines was performed using the RAND/UCLA Appropriateness Method, a decision-making method developed by the RAND Corporation. Four guidelines were used for the revision. Results: The updated nursing practice guideline for IUC consisted of 9 domains and 134 recommendations. The numbers of recommendations in each domain were: 4 Assessment, 20 Equipment, 11 Catheter insertion, 52 Catheter maintenance, 4 Catheter and drainage bag change, 9 Catheter removal, 22 Complications management, 5 Education and consult, and 7 Hospital support. The recommended grade was 8.2% for A, 38.1% for B, and 53.7% for C. Among these, the major revision was done in 11 recommendations (8.2%). A total of 29 recommendations (21.6%) were newly added. 30 (22.4%) recommendations had minor revisions such as changes or addition for some words or sentences, and 13 (9.7%) recommendations were deleted. Conclusion: Revised nursing practice guideline is expected to serve as an evidence-based practice guideline for IUC in Korea. This guideline will provide health care providers, patients, and caregivers with information to help manage IUC, leading to improved patient outcomes.
