  • This paper proposea a new adaptive algorithm to improve the performance fo a robust adaptive control system. This adaptive algorithm counteracts the effects of disturbances and makes the time derivative of Lyapunov function non-positive, $V{\leq}0$. As a result, the output error approaches zero as $t\;\rightarrow\;\infty$ not only in the presence of bounded disturbances, but also in the ideal case. The effectiveness of this proposed algorithm is demonstrated by the stability analysis and simulation results.

  • Mobile cloud computing (MCC) combines mobile Internet and cloud computing to improve the performance of applications. In MCC, the data processing and storage for mobile devices (MDs) is provided on the remote cloud. However, MCC faces the problem of energy efficiency caused by randomly varying channels. In this paper, by introducing the Lyapunov optimization method, we propose a combined service subscription and delivery (CSSD) algorithm that can guide the users to subscribe to services reasonably. This algorithm can also determine whether to deliver the data and to whom data is sent in the current time unit based on the queue backlog and the channel state. Numerical results validate the correctness and effectiveness of our proposed CSSD algorithm.

Lyapunov 함수를 구성하여 제안한 방법의 안정성을 증명하고, MATLAB을 이용한 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 결과를 제시하여 제안한 방법의 유용성을 증명한다.

  • This paper focuses on the problem of asymptotic stabilization for time-delay systems. To this end, a memoryless state feedback controller is proposed. Then, based on the Lyapunov method, a delay-dependent stabilization criterion is devised by taking the relationship between the terms in the Leibniz-Newton formula into account. Certain free weighting matrices are used to express this relationship and linear matrix inequalities (LMIs)-based algorithm to design the controller stabilizing the system.

  • Path following of the mobile robot is one research hot for the mobile robot navigation. For the control system of the wheeled mobile robot(WMR) being in nonhonolomic system and the complex relations among the control parameters, it is difficult to solve the problem based on traditional mathematics model. In this paper, we presents a simple and effective way of implementing an adaptive following controller based on the PID for mobile robot path following. The method uses a non-linear model of mobile robot kinematics and thus allows an accurate prediction of the future trajectories. The proposed controller has a parallel structure that consists of PID controller with a fixed gain. The control law is constructed on the basis of Lyapunov stability theory. Computer simulation for a differentially driven nonholonomic mobile robot is carried out in the velocity and orientation tracking control of the nonholonomic WMR. The simulation results of wheel type mobile robot platform are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

  • In this paper a nonlinear control strategy via feedback linearization and energy based Lyapunov function for underactuated mechanical systems is investigated. Underactuated mechanical system is a system of which the number of actuators is less than the number of degrees of freedom. Developed algorithm is applied to a crane system of grab operation. Positioning of the trolley as well as swing-up of the pendulum to the up-right position including maintaining the sway angle at some desired degree are demonstrated. Simulations are provided.

  • In this paper, we consider a robust output feedback model predictive controller(MPC) design for Wiener model. Nonlinearities that couldn't be represented in static nonlinearity block of Wiener model are regarded as uncertainties in linear block. An dynamic output feedback controller design method is presented for Wiener MPC. According to MPC algorithm, the control law is computed based on linear matrix inequality(LMI)at each sampling time by solving convex optimization. Also, a new parameter dependent Lyapunov function is proposed to get a less conservative condition. The results are illustrated with numerical example.

  • We describe a solution to the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck equation $\frac{dI}{dt}-\frac{1}{\tau}$I(t)=cV(t) where V(t) is a constant multiple of a Gaussian white noise. Our solution is based on a discrete set of Gaussian white noise obtained by taking sample points from a sum of single frequency harmonics that have random amplitudes, random frequencies, and random phases. Hence, it is different from the solution by the standard random walk using random numbers generated by the Box-Mueller algorithm. We prove that the power of the signal has the additive property, from which we derive that the Lyapunov characteristic exponent for our solution is positive. This compares with the solution by other methods where the noise is kept to be in an error range so that its Lyapunov exponent is negative.

  • Quality of Service (QoS) in the Internet depends on queuing and sophisticated scheduling in routers. In this paper, we address the issue of managing traffic flows with different priorities. In our reference model, incoming packets are first classified based on their priority, placed into different queues with different capacities, and then multiplexed onto one router link. The fuzzy nature of the information on Internet traffic makes this problem particularly suited to fuzzy methodologies. We propose a new solution that employs a fuzzy inference system to dynamically and efficiently schedule these priority queues. The fuzzy rules are derived to minimize the selected Lyapunov function. Simulation experiments show that the proposed fuzzy scheduling algorithm outperforms the popular Weighted Round Robin (WRR) queue scheduling mechanism.
