Programming Characteristics on Three-Dimensional NAND Flash Structure Using Edge Fringing Field Effect

  • The three-dimensional (3-D) NAND flash structure with fully charge storage using edge fringing field effect is presented, and its programming characteristic is evaluated. We successfully confirmed that this structure using fringing field effect provides good program characteristics showing sufficient threshold voltage ($V_T$) margin by technology computer-aided design (TCAD) simulation. From the simulation results, we expect that program speed characteristics of proposed structure have competitive compared to other 3D NAND flash structure. Moreover, it is estimated that this structural feature using edge fringing field effect gives better design scalability compared to the conventional 3D NAND flash structures by scaling of the hole size for the vertical channel. As a result, the proposed structure is one of the candidates of Terabit 3D vertical NAND flash cell with lower bit cost and design scalability.

AC PDP에서 다양한 형태의 ${\prod}$형 금속방전유지 전극의 효과 (Effect of Various ${\prod}$Type Metal Electrode in the AC PDP)

  • Recently, an AC Plasma Display Panels(PDP) with the metal sustain electrodes have been reported in order to reduce the manufacturing cost of the AC PDP. However, the luminance and efficacy of the AC PDP with metal electrodes are worse than those of the AC PDP with ITO electrodes. In this paper, various ${\prod}$type metal electrodes are suggested, in order to improve the electro-optical characteristics of the AC PDP with metal electrodes. Among the suggested electrode types, luminance of Hump electrode structure is higher by $40\;cd/m^2$ and discharge current of Asymmetry electrode structure is lower by 5% than those of Pi electrode structure, respectively. Moreover, $T_1$ of Hump electrode structure is reduced to 10% as compared with Pi electrode structure in address period for ADS driving scheme. In all aspects, the characteristics of Hump and Asymmetry electrode structure show best performance.

The Performance of AC PDP with Grooved Dielectric Structure in High Xe Contents

  • We reported an AC PDP structure with grooved front panel dielectric layer. The structure exhibits low breakdown voltage, better luminance, and better endurance to crosstalk in high Xe contents. It also shows less luminous efficacy then conventional structure because of the thinner dielectric layer, but we can apply the higher Xe contents to the grooved dielectric structure, which results in the higher luminous efficacy. We made experiments with the Xe contents from 4 to16% and total gas pressure from 400 to 600Torr. The grooved dielectric structure shows the improvement of 20% luminous efficacy and 17% luminance. The firing voltages lower about 40V at 600Torr and Xe 12, 16%. The discharge characteristics of grooved dielectric structure are verified also with 2D simulation.

보강 박스 구조물의 진돔 및 응력 해석 (The Vibration and Stress Analysis of Stiffened Box Structures)

  • The stress and vibration analysis of stiffened box structure is investigated by experiment and FEM analysis. The effects of stiffener number and box section shape on the structure response are presneted. The 1st natural frequency of stiffened folded byx structure with a stiffeners is 300 Hz. It is highter than that of stiffened rectangular box structure with 5 stiffeners, which is 251 Hz. Maximum deflection of folded box structure with thickness of 1 mm is lower than that of rectangular box structure with thickness of 1 or 2 mm. The natural frequencies of box structures are increeased with the number of stiffener, while the deflections are decreased with the number of box structures. When we compare between fundamental frequency (251 Hz) of stiffened (with 5 stiffeners) and one (137.64 Hz) of unstiffened rectangular box structure under clamped-clamped boundary condition, the ratio of frequency increase is 82%. The stiffened structures of 2 mm thickness can reduced to 120% of maximum deflection of 1 mm thickness rectangular box structures.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 금속 도재관과 지르코니아 도재관 보철물의 하부 구조물인 금속과 상부 도재의 결합강도 (금속군), 하부 구조물인 지르코니아와 상부 도재의 전단결합강도 (지르코니아군)를 결정함에 있어서 각각 하부 구조물인 금속과 지르코니아의 표면 처리를 다르게 하였을 때, 전단결합강도에 미치는 영향을 평가하고자 한다. 금속군에서는 금속 표면에 각각 아무 처리를 하지 않은 집단(NM), 모래분사를 실시한 집단(SM), 불투명 도재를 도포한 집단(OM), 모래분사와 함께 불투명 도재를 도포한 집단(SOM) 총 4집단으로 나누어 실시하였고, 지르코니아군에서는 아무 처리를 하지 않은 집단(NZ), 표면에 모래 분사를 실시한 집단(SZ), 지르코니아 표면에 이장재(지르라이너)를 처리한 집단(LZ), 모래분사와 이장재 처리를 함께한 집단(SLZ) 총 4집단으로 시편을 제작하였다. 금속군과 지르코니아군 각각의 4집단의 표면 처리에 따른 전단결합강도에 영향이 있는지 알아보기 위하여 SPSS를 사용하여 일원배치 분산분석을 시행하였다. 금속 도재관의 경우 하부 구조물인 금속 표면에 모래분사를 한 후 불투명 도재를 도포하는 것이 가장 권장되며, 지르코니아 도재관의 경우 하부 구조물인 지르코니아 표면에 모래분사를 한 후 지르라이너를 도포하는 것이 권장된다.

아치구조와 기둥간의 고유진동수비에 따른 아치구조물의 동적응답특성 (Dynamic Response of Arch Structure according to Natural Frequency Ratio between Arch and Columns)

  • Long span arch structure is composed of arch as relatively flexible structure and column as relatively rigid structure. In this study, the characteristic of dynamic response is analyzed according to the natural frequency ratio between arch and columns. The result of analysis for arch as relatively vertical vibration mode is dominant, the influence of columns mainly appears at relatively high frequency band according to increase of 1st mode frequency in column. However, the dynamic characteristic of arch structure is expected to vary with not only frequency ratio but interaction between vibration modes of arch and columns.

  • This paper suggests the finite element method to analyze the dynamic characteristics of a rotating HDD system including the supporting structure with general shape. The flexible supporting structure was modeled by tetrahedra elements to produce a finite element model of disk-spindle-shaft-housing system and the dynamic characteristics of the HDD system was investigated due to the change of rotating speed. The validity of the presented method was verified by the modal testing. The supporting structure has an crucial effect on lower modes for HDD system, so that it is required to consider the supporting structure to accurately analyze the dynamic characteristics of HDD system.

극지 구조물 형상에 대한 빙충격 하중 특성 분석 (An Analysis of Ice Impact Force Characteristics for the Arctic Structure Shape)

  • This paper describes the characteristic analysis of ice impact force for the Arctic structure shape. In the present study an energy method has been used to predict the impact force during the ice-structure collision. This study also employs two concepts for reference contact area and normalized stress in analysis procedure. The influences of factors, such as impact velocity, full penetration depth, structure shape and ice floe size, are investigated. Full penetration occurs, particularly at lower impact velocity when ice thickness increase. But "typical size" ice floe does not expected ever to achieve full penetration during the impact procedure. The structure shape is the dominant factor in ice impact force characteristic. The results for various ice-structure collision scenarios are analyzed.

Improved Performance of White Phosphorescent Organic Light-Emitting Diodes through a Mixed-Host Structure

  • Highly efficient white phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes with a mixed-host structure are developed and the device characteristics are studied. The introduction of a hole-transport-type host (N, N'-dicarbazolyl-3-3-benzen (mCP)) into an electron-transport-type host (m-bis-(triphenylsilyl)benzene (UGH3)) as a mixed-host emissive layer effectively achieves higher current density and lower driving voltage. The peak external quantum and power efficiency with the mixed-host structure improve up to 18.9% and 40.9 lm/W, respectively. Moreover, this mixed-host structure device shows over 30% enhanced performance compared with a single-host structure device at a luminance of 10,000 $cd/m^2$ without any change in the electroluminescence spectra.

열차 하중에 의한 지하철 구조물의 진동 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Vibration Characteristics of Subway Structure by Train Load)

  • 본 연구에서는 열차 진행에 따른 진동이 지하철 박스구조물에 미치는 영향에 대해서 분석을 수행하였다. 이를 위하여 지하철 본선에 센서를 설치하고 지하철이 운행 시간대의 열차진동 데이터를 획득하였다. 센서의 위치는 하부보, 측벽, 상부슬래브에 설치하였고, 자갈도상부와 콘크리트도상부의 하부보와 측벽에 각각 센서를 부착하여 부재의 위치 및 도상의 종류에 따른 진동의 영향을 분석하였다. 하부보와 상부슬래브의 동적응답을 분석한 결과 하부보의 진동속도에 비하여 상부슬래브의 진동속도는 작은 것으로 분석되었고, 상부슬래브 균열의 폭에 대한 변화도 없는 것으로 분석되어 진동의 영향이 상부슬래브까지 미치지 않는 것으로 분석되었다. 자갈도상과 콘크리트도상의 위치에서 하부보와 측벽의 가속도를 비교한 결과 콘크리트 도상의 약간 큰 것으로 나타났으나 그 차가 크지 않아 도상의 차이에 따른 정량적인 분석은 추후에 추가적인 연구를 통하여 분석하여야 할 것으로 판단된다. 구조물의 진동을 평가하기 위해서 가속도 이력을 속도이력으로 변환하여 기존의 승강장에서 수집된 진동 속도 데이터와 비교하였으며, 승강장보다는 본선의 진동속도가 더 빠른 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 금번 연구를 통하여 정밀안전 시에 지하철의 진동을 측정하여 구조물의 평가를 처음으로 시도하였으며 추후 연구에서는 측정 분해능을 보다 세밀하게 하고 측정 개소를 다양화하여 보다 세밀한 분석을 수행하는 연구가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.
