  • In this paper, for high performance as drive, in the speed sensorless vector control of induction motor, introduced flux estimator of voltage model and error compensation algorithm using closed loop integration method, and then we proposed a improved flux estimation method of high accuracy. And the rotor speed is estimating using the stator current and the estimated flux, it is used speed information. The proposed scheme is verified through digital simulations and experiments for 3.7[kW] induction motor and shows good dynamic performance.

  • This paper represents a hot-film flow sensor which is compensated by a noble temperature compensation method using the initial unbalanced voltage. The resistance value of the sensor is determined by using the graph of the initial unbalanced voltage of an open-loop circuit against the air temperature. The compensation is accomplished by applying the unbalanced ratio of the resistors in the Wheastone bridge circuit. In the range of air temperature of $-20^{\circ}C{\sim}120^{\circ}C$, the error is about ${\pm}1%$.

Analysis of Open-loop Antenna for Moisture Sensor Using the Moment Methods (모멘트 법을 이용한 수분센서용 개 루우프 안테나의 해석)

  • This paper proposed a small type ofen-loop antenna model for the moisture sensor, and its operating characteristics were analyzed numerically using the moment methods. The numerical analysis results through the moment methods showed that this antenna was able to match the input impedance to 50$\Omega$ by changing parameters of the antenna in the frequency range from 300MHz to 500MHz. The gain of antenna was obtained about 2.5dBd. This antenna proposed in this paper showed not only the radiation pattern characteristics of the uniform distribution toward the axial direction above the antenna, but also the narrowband resonant characteristics. Thus we can propose that the antenna be more suitable for the moisture sensor.

  • An effective drowsy driver detection system is needed, because the probability of accident is high for drowsy driving and its severity is high at the time of accident. However, the drowsy driver detection system that uses bio-signals or vision is difficult to be utilized due to high cost. Thus, this paper proposes a drowsy driver detection algorithm by using steering angle sensor, which is attached to the most of vehicles at no additional cost, and vehicle information such as brake switch, throttle position signal, and vehicle speed. The proposed algorithm is based on jerk criterion, which is one of drowsy driver's steering patterns. In this paper, threshold value of each variable is presented and the proposed algorithm is evaluated by using acquired vehicle data from hardware in the loop simulation (HILS) through CAN communication and MATLAB program.

  • This paper presents a Ka-band FMCW sensor that has high linearity by improving a nonlinear behavior of the voltage controlled oscillator. Due to the nonlinear characteristics of the voltage controlled oscillator for the conventional method, the drift of beat frequency can cause inaccuracy and errors to the extracted results. A Ka-band FMCW signal with fast transition time could be generated by using both direct digital synthesizer and phase locked loop in this research. The implemented FMCW sensor showed very high accuracy in beat frequency through the test.

  • In this study, The new type of loop antenna which detects the partial discharge was designed based on microstrip line technology. In diagnosis of power cable, partial discharge signal generally occurred at the frequency range lower than 100MHz because high frequency PD signals could be lost along the propagation path in the cable. The new type of loop antenna sensor has been studied by using Simulation software named CST microwave studio version 5.0. In partial discharge measuring experiments, commercial HFCT sensor was used as a reference sensor. Several experiments were made over HFCT sensor and loop antenna sensor in detection partial discharge on MV XLPE cable of 22.9kV. In this study, we have shown our loop antenna sensor can apply as a commercial HFCT sensor.

  • To remove heat generated during a burn-up test of nuclear fuels, the heat generation rate of nuclear fuels should be calculated accurately, and a coolant should be circulated in the test loop at an adequate flow rate. HANARO is an open pool-type reactor with an independent test loop for the burn-up test of nuclear fuels. A test rig is installed in the test loop, and a coolant is circulated through the test loop to maintain the temperature of the nuclear fuel rods within a desired temperature during an irradiation test. The components and sensors in the test rig can be broken or malfunction owing to the flow-induced vibration. In this study, a coolant flow simulation system was developed to verify and confirm the soundness of components and sensors assembled in the test rig with a high flow rate of the coolant.

  • 본 논문에서는 PDLS 기반 사냑 간섭계를 사용하여 편광 간섭형 광섬유 진동 센서를 제안하였다. LD와 PD는 빠른 속도로 변하는 세기를 측정하기 위해 사용하였다. PZT를 사용하여 1~3000 Hz까지의 주파수 진동측정이 이루어졌으며 차단 주파수는 ~2100 Hz 였다. 그리고 단위 길이와 단위 스트레인 당 위상 이동은 ${\sim}3.48mrad/({\mu}{\varepsilon}{\cdot}m$)였으며, 최소 검출 가능한 스트레인 섭동은 2000 Hz에서 ${\sim}460p{\varepsilon}/Hz^{1/2}$이었다.

  • In this paper, we propose a triple nested PID control scheme for stable hovering of a quadrotor and propose a complementary filter based sensor fusion technique to improve the performance of attitude, altitude and velocity measurement. The triple nested controller has a structure in which a double nested attitude controller that has the angular velocity PD controller in inner loop and the angular PI controller in outer loop, is nested in a velocity control loop to enable stable hovering even in the case of disturbance. We also propose a sensor fusion technique by applying a complementary filter in order to reduce the noise and drift error included in the acceleration and gyro sensor and to measure the velocity by fusing image, gyro, and acceleration sensor. In order to verity the performance, we applied the proposed control and measurement scheme to hovering control of quadrotor.
