  • Development of integration management system needs to operate and manage internet shopping mall for customer, sale, product, stock, account management. The purpose of this paper implements of small shopping mall logistics management system as a plan to raise efficiency of management of the Internet shopping mall which was a representative business form of electronic commerce. Logistics management system operates an Internet shopping mall, progressed with the aim of construction of the management system that systematizes a member, a product, a stock, customer management, and can efficiently manage a total stock grasp and the amount of transaction of a product based on Web by real time.

  • During last ten years, logistics network management has become one of the most important sources of competitive advantage regarding logistics cost and customer service in numerous business segments. The key to success in this dynamic and severe business environment is the ability to design and plan the logistics network optimally in an integrated way. Network design and planning involves many issues relating to strategic, tactical, and operational decisions. To assist a logistics designer or planner, many computer-based decision support systems (DSS) have been developed. In this paper, the issues related to design, development, and implementation of the DSS for logistics network design and planning are discussed, and an ideal framework of the DSS is proposed with some ideas on the future development. Finally, DLNET, the DSS developed by author, is briefly introduced.

  • e-Marketplace is a business concept which is importantly considered in the area of marketing. e-Marketplace provides the public field in which multi-purchasers can efficiently trade with multi-suppliers. Supply Chain Management(SCM) is being widely acknowledged by the development of information technology. SCM is well known as one of the key issues lately. The complexity of supply chains and the associated potential opportunities for gaining a competitive edge by designing a product and process to support supply chain management can be significant. In order to achieve successful implementation of supply chain management system, companies should understand some barriers in implementation and set up effective and integrated information system. Standardization of logistics is needed through the unification of EDI, Bar Code, Pallet and so on. It's effect is magnified on Efficient Consumer Response such as efficient store assortment, efficient replenishment, efficient promotion and efficient product introduction. International logistics management is the integration of key business processes from original suppliers to end user that provides products, services and information that add value for customers. e-Logistics is being used in managing the international logistics. In this study, three basic e-SCM models for the strategic implementation of supply chain management are suggested. Among them, the virtual company can be the best one we can develop in order to cope with the individualized customer needs.

운영 데이터를 활용한 제3자 물류 환경에서의 배송 트럭 무게 예측 (Truck Weight Estimation using Operational Statistics at 3rd Party Logistics Environment)

  • Many manufacturers applying third party logistics (3PLs) have some challenges to increase their logistics efficiency. This study introduces an effort to estimate the weight of the delivery trucks provided by 3PL providers, which allows the manufacturer to package and load products in trailers in advance to reduce delivery time. The accuracy of the weigh estimation is more important due to the total weight regulation. This study uses not only the data from the company but also many general prediction variables such as weather, oil prices and population of destinations. In addition, operational statistics variables are developed to indicate the availabilities of the trucks in a specific weight category for each 3PL provider. The prediction model using XGBoost regressor and permutation feature importance method provides highly acceptable performance with MAPE of 2.785% and shows the effectiveness of the developed operational statistics variables.

The Role of Small Airports in the Distribution and Logistics of Local Produce in India: A Proposal for Business Efficiency

  • Purpose: Small airports are social and economic enablers and facilitate businesses and individuals. They contribute significantly to the distribution and logistics of the local produce - be it goods or services, thereby impacting the economy but have limited access to funds and poor management restricts their development. Despite the importance, small airports in small cities struggle financially as they are unable to earn profits and have higher operating costs. In other words, this is a paradoxical situation for small airports wherein, despite losses, the regional or national public authorities still finance such airports under socio-economic obligations. Therefore, this study aims to identify the critical success factors for improving small airports' performance and propose a business model. Research design, data and methodology: Using the qualitative research, interviews with 16 stakeholders from Guwahati, Tirupati, Bhubaneswar and Dehradun airports in india were examined. Results: The analysis reveals strategic planning and low cost, non-passenger services, and development of airport economic region as the main factors contributing towards small airports' success. Additionally, providing logistics to the local businesses and creating niche markets are suggested. Conclusions: Small airports, based on their services and the means of targeting customers, could select the relevant approach to improve their overall performance and improve profitability.

  • With the change of diverse business environments, the need for the third party logistics(3PL) is strategically considered for securing core abilities of manufacturers' own business. Most manufacturers are willing to have Win-Win relationship with the 3PL companies, instead of working with 3PL companies only for the purpose of reducing costs of logistics. This study has intentions to analyze determination factors of the distribution partnership which influence manufacturing firms within Gyeongsangbuk-do province and effects of partnership which exert an favorable influences on their outcome. With regard to the determination factors, it is found that determination factors consists of shipping quality, crisis management and possession of resources. And for the effects, saving logistics cost, improvement in service quality and strengthening the distribution partnership are included. This study intends to suggest helpful guidelines to business managers who seek a solution for more efficient logistics service.

  • 국내 농업이 가지고 있는 구조적 문제와 해외시장 진입에 대한 전략과 실행력 부족으로 인해 농식품 수출시장 경쟁력이 향상되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 환경에서 본 연구는 우리나라 수출농업 활성화를 위해 농식품 수출부문의 경쟁력을 제고시킬 수 있는 공급사슬관리 관점에서의 현실적이고 전략적인 비즈니스모델을 제안하였다. 제안된 농식품 수출물류 비즈니스모델은 농식품 수출물류센터를 중심으로 공급사슬 상의 구성원들을 효율적으로 통합 관리 할 수 있는 모델이다. 수출물류센터는 수출물류 시스템 구축, 해외시장 개척, 수출을 위한 전략적 상품 발굴과 개발 등 농식품 수출 효율화를 기반으로 대기업의 가공식품과 중소업체의 농식품을 동시에 유통하는 상품믹스, 수출물류 물적 프로세스적 시스템 구축, 해외시장 개척과 목표시장의 접근성 확보 등으로 구성된 농식품 수출증대를 위한 통합모델이다.

동북아 부가가치 석유물류 비즈니스 모델에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Business Model for Value Added Petroleum Logistics in Northeast Asia)

  • 한·중·일을 포함하는 동북아지역은 1990년대 이후 급속한 경제성장과 더불어 역내외 석유물류가 증대되고 있다. 우리나라는 이러한 대외적인 환경하에서 2000년대 중반 이후 동북아 석유물류허브화 정책을 추진해 왔다. 동북아 물류허브화를 위해서는 부가가치 석유물류의 비즈니스 활성화를 위한 비즈니스 모델의 구축과 촉진이 중요하다. 동북아 지역에서 우리나라 석유물류 비즈니스 모델을 분석함으로써 석유물류 활성화에 대한 정책적·실무적 시사점을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 전체 23개 탱키지 업체를 대상으로 면담조사에 의한 사례분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 면담조사한 대부분의 유류저장탱크터미널업체들은 블랜딩, 소분화, 집적화와 같은 부가가치 석유물류를 실시하고 있다. 둘째, 부가가치 석유물류의 발생은 주변국들간 수급의 불균형에 의해 발생하고 있는데 특히 일본, 오세아니아, 미국, 남미 등을 연결하는 소분화와 블랜딩 수요가 높다. 셋째, 부가가치 물류수요에 대응한 인프라, 제도 및 규제 등에 대한 개선을 통해 부가가치 석유물류의 활성화를 촉진해야 할 것이며 이는 우리나라의 동북아 오일허브 정책에 크게 기여하게 될 것이다.

  • Logistics network management has become one of the most important sources of competitive advantage regarding logistics cost and customer service in numerous business segments. Logistics network simulation is a powerful analysis method for designing and planning the logistics network optimally in an integrated way. This paper introduces a logistics network simulator, LONSIM, developed by author. LONSIM deploys a mix of simulation and optimization functions to model and analysis logistics network issues such as facility location, inventory policy, manufacturing policy, transportation mode, warehouse assignment, supplier assignment, order processing priority rule, and vehicle routes. LONSIM is built with AweSim 2.1 and Visual Basic 6.0, and executed in windows environment.

  • It has been recognized as an important issue to design optimally a firm's logistics network for minimizing logistics cost and maximizing customer service. It is, however, not easy to get an optimal solution by analyzing trade-off of cost factors, dynamic and interdependent characteristics in the logistics network decision making. Although there has been some developments in a system which helps decision making for logistics analysis, it is true that there is no system for enterprise-wise's on-site support and methodical logistics decision. Specially, E-biz process along with information technology has been made dramatic advance in a various industries, there has been much need for practical education closely resembles on-site work. The software developed by this study materializes efficient algorithm suggested by recent studies in key topics of logistics such as location and allocation problem, traveling salesman problem, and vehicle routing problem and transportation and distribution problem. It also supports executing a variety of experimental design and analysis in a way of the most user friendly based on Java. In the near future, we expect that it can be extended to integrated supply chain solution by adding decision making in production in addition to a decision in logistics.
