I devised this study for setting up the location marketing policy that was the most suitable to medium and small-sized enterprises. For this, I classified 3 factors and analyzed location environment levels of an enterprise. First factor is 'an assistance policy factor' which is composed of assistance policies of local governments and central-government. Second is 'an accumulation factor' which is composes of the same category of business or accumulation of an allied industry, the abundant selling market, innovative industry atmosphere, and accumulations of various innovative organs such as a college, a research organization. Third is 'a location base factor' which is composed of a desirable information communications net and accessibility on wide area traffic networks such as an airport, a railroad, an expressway. I also analyzed three location environment levels of business scale.

Ubiquitous and pervasive environment presents opportunities for a rich set of location aware applications such as car navigation and intelligent robots, interactive virtual games, logistics service, asset tracking etc. Typical indoor location systems require better accuracy than what current outdoor location systems provide, Outdoor location technologies such as GPS have poor indoor performance because of the harsh nature of indoor environments, In this paper we present a novel reducing interference location system that is particularly well suited to support context aware computing. The system, called EEM (Enhance Envelop Method) alms to combine the advantages of real time tracking systems that implement distributed environment with the suitability of infrastructure sensor network.

With the rapid growth of GPS-enable Smartphones, the interest on using Location Based Services (LBSs) has increased significantly. The evolution in the functionalities provided by those smartphones has enabled them to accurately pinpoint the location of a user. Because location information is what all LBSs depend on to process user's request, it should be properly protected from attackers or malicious service providers (SP). Additionally, maintaining user's privacy and confidentiality are imperative challenges to be overcome. A possible solution for these challenges is to provide user anonymity, which means to ensure that a user initiating a request to the SP should be indistinguishable from a group of people by any adversary who had access to the request. Most of the proposals that maintain user's anonymity are based on location obfuscation. It mainly focuses on adjusting the resolution of the user's location information. In this paper, we present a new protocol that is focused on using cryptographic techniques to provide anonymity for LBSs users in the smartphone environment. This protocol makes use of a trusted third party called the Anonymity Server (AS) that ensures anonymous communication between the user and the service provider.

At present, GML becomes the global standard for the XML encoding of geographic information and is the foundation for the Geo-Web. GML is being applied to a wide range of geographic applications including GIS and location-based services, telematics and intelligent transportation systems. In this paper, we propose the tourism information system for supporting the location based service application. We made an effort to design and implement a GIS computing environment by thin client for mobile web mapping service. We are interested in the GML applications that include traditional GIS system for navigation service and location finder for points of interest (POI) services. This paper summarizes the Tourism information system for location based service of a small area (Han-Ok Village with the Korean traditional houses in Jeonju-city), in which moving travelers can obtain proper information services at the current location associated with traditional monuments, cultural products, food, and conveniences. In the paper, we report on the design of the thin client/server system for a mobile environment. This paper is divided into three parts. First, we give a general overview of the organization of the system and of the important concerns of our design. Second we focus on our system supports for location and POI determination, and design concerns. Finally, we show the graphic user interface of PDA, the procedures involved in the service, and the executed results.

This paper proposes a method of estimating the optimal position of a robot in order to provide a service by approaching a user located outside the sensing area of the robot in an indoor environment. First, in order to estimate the user's location, the location in the indoor environment was estimated by applying a trilateral approach to the beacon-tag module data, and Voronoi thinning to set the optimal movement goal from the user's estimated location. Based on the generated nodes, the final location was estimated through the calculation of the user location, obstacle, and movement path, and the location accuracy of the service robot was verified through the movement of the destination of the actual robot platform.

This paper proposes a method for estimating the location of a user using a beacon to provide a service in an indoor environment. To estimate the location using the beacon, a Gaussian filter was applied to the RSSI value of the beacon, and the distance conversion function was obtained through the filtered RSSI value to estimate the tag location by trilateration. Then, in the indoor space where the beacons are installed, the location estimation accuracy of 8 places where 3 beacons are at a certain distance was confirmed. As a result, it was possible to confirm the position estimation accuracy of ±0.097 standard deviation and 0.242 distance error.

This paper proposes the location acquisition methods and LBS(location-based services) system using RFID(radio frequency identification) tags with location information in ubiquitous city. Location information is checked using RFID tags attached to various buildings. stores and road signs. And various LBSs are provided based on the location information. Traditionally, when the location information is obtained by a GPS, the precision of the location information may deteriorate due to geographical displacement of a satellite and GPS receivers, for example shadow zone by building, in-door environment, and heavy cloud. The objective of this paper is to provide a ULID(universal location identification) data structure, a ULID-based location acquisition method and an LBS system, in which precise location information is extracted using RFID tags attached to various buildings, stores and road signs and ULID and also danger of information leakage is minimized so that an LBS of ubiquitous environment can be provided to a user.
In order for location information to deliver the collected information, it needs Sensor Nodes in an environment of Sensor Network. Each sensor sends data to a base station through the process of routing in a wireless sensor network environment. Therefore, Offering accurate location information is very important in a wireless sensor network environment. Most of existed routing methods save all the informations of nodes at the area of 1-hop. In order to save these informations, unnecessary wasted energy and traffics are generated. Routing Protocol proposed in this paper doesn't save node's location information, and doesn't exchange any periodic location information to reduce wasted energy. It includes transmission range of source nodes and nodes with the location information, however it doesn't include any nodes' routing near 1-hope distance.
This study is about heat island as one of the urban climate variation factors in urbanized modern society, which compared and observed the thermal characteristics both the downtown location and the outskirt site in summer. The diurnal air temperature range at each point is $12.6^{\circ}C$ in the downtown location and $14.3^{\circ}C$ in the outskirt site, so, it was found that the diurnal air temperature range in the outskirt site was $1.7^{\circ}C$ higher than in the downtown location. There was 20 minutes difference to reach the highest temperature between globe temperature and air temperature in the downtown location, however, the time spent to reach the highest temperature between globe temperature and air temperature in the outskirt site was the same. When we compared the globe temperature between the downtown location and outskirt site, we found that the temperature in the outskirt site was lower than in the downtown location after sunset due to the sudden temperature drops, although the exposed time to insolation in the outskirt site is longer. The average of globe temperature difference on the sample days was $1.1^{\circ}C$, the average of surface temperature difference on the sample days was $1.0^{\circ}C$, and the average of air temperature difference on the sample days was $2.0^{\circ}C$ Thus, it was found that the average of air temperature difference was higher than the average of globe temperature and the average of surface temperature. The result of this study is that the urban environment factors have more effect on the air temperature difference than globe temperature and surface temperature.
