  • In this paper, we introduce an efficient new model reduction method, named the automated static condensation method, which is developed for the local analysis of large finite element models. The algebraic multilevel substructuring procedure is modified appropriately, and then applied to the original static condensation method. The retained substructure, which is the local finite element model to be analyzed, is defined, and then the remaining part of the global model is automatically partitioned into many omitted substructures in an algebraic perspective. For an efficient condensation procedure, a substructural tree diagram and substructural sets are established. Using these, the omitted substructures are sequentially condensed into the retained substructure to construct the reduced model. Using several large practical engineering problems, the performance of the proposed method is demonstrated in terms of its solution accuracy and computational efficiency, compared to the original static condensation method and the superelement technique.

  • In this paper, development of the three-dimensional structural analysis is performed by applying FETI-local method. In the FETI-local method, the penalty term is added as a preconditioner. The OPT-DKT shell element is used in the present structural analysis. Newmark-${\beta}$ method is employed to conduct the dynamic analysis. The three-dimensional FETI-local static structural analysis is conducted. The contour and the displacement of the results are compared following the different number of sub-domains. The computational time and memory usage are compared with respect to the number of CPUs used. The three-dimensional dynamic structural analysis is conducted while applying FETI-local method. The present results show appropriate scalability in terms of the computational time and memory usage. It is expected to improve the computational efficiency by combining the advantages of the original FETI method, i.e., FETI-mixed using the mixed local-global Lagrange multiplier.

  • In this study, an analysis technique using static condensation is proposed for an efficient local nonlinear static analysis. The static condensation method is a model reduction method based on the degrees of freedom, and the analysis model is divided into a target part and a condensed part to be omitted. In this study, the nonlinear and linear parts were designated to the target and the omitted parts, respectively, and both the stiffness matrix and load vector corresponding to the linear part were condensed into the nonlinear part. After model condensation, the reduced model comprising the stiffness matrix and the load vector for the nonlinear part is constructed, and only this reduced model was updated through the Newton-Raphson iteration for an efficient nonlinear analysis. Finally, the efficiency and reliability of the proposed analysis technique were presented by applying it to various numerical examples.

  • CTOC(Classes To Optimized Classes) is a Java bytecode framework for optimization and analysis. Although Java bytecode has a significant amount of type information embedded in it, there are no explicit types for local variables. However, knowing types for local variables is very useful for both program optimization and analysis. This paper is a first part of CTOC framework. In this paper, we present methods for inferring static types for local variables in a 3-address, stackless, representation of Java bytecode. We use SSA Form(Single Static Assignment Form) for spliting local variables. Splited local variables will use to prepare for static type inference.

  • The information on local stress acting in a bridge is required in many occasions such as fatigue assessment. The analysis by beam elements cannot yield this class of information adequately, while the finite element modeling of an entire long-span bridge by shell elements is impractical. In the present study, the hybrid modeling is tried out: only part of a bridge in which the point of interest is located is discretized by shell elements and the remaining part is modeled by beam elements. By solving a simple box girder problem, the effectiveness of this approach is discussed. This technique is then applied to the Rama IX Bridge for local stress evaluation. The numerical results compare very well with the results of a full-scale static loading test. The present research thus offers a practical yet accurate technique for the stress analysis of a long-span cable-stayed bridge.

  • The purpose of this study is to analysis relative efficiency and efficiency in process of time. Thus we use panel data of 34 local public medical centers between 2003 and 2005 to use DEA and Malmquist analysis. The result of our this study is as flow; first, The results of static efficiency of 34 local public medical centers show 10 CCR model and 23 BCC model which is difference of efficiency by economic of scale. Second, a cause of increased efficiency is not only change of technology but also change of efficiency to management system index show between 2003 and 2005 by Malmquist analysis and contracting-out is higher than direct management between 2004 and 2005. That means efficiency of local public medical centers is their own effort and innovation not government subsidies.

  • A local remeshing algorithm using Delaunay property is developed for the analysis on the phenomenon of quasi-static crack propagation, which is a typical problem of accompanying constantly varying geometry. The algorithm performs both remeshing and refinement. The use of M-integral is demonstrated to simulate crack propagation under mixed mode with the edge spalling problem.

  • We perform static program analysis for the binary code. The reason you want to analyze at the level of binary code, installed on your local computer, run the executable file without source code. And the reason we want to perform static analysis, static program analysis is to understand what actions to perform on your local computer. In this paper, execution flow graph representing information such as the execution order among functions and the flow of control is generated. Using graph, User can find execution flow of binary file and calls of insecure functions at the same time, and the graph should facilitate the analysis of binary files. In addition, program to be run is ensured the safety by providing an automated way to search the flow of execution, and program to be downloaded and installed from outside is determined whether safe before running.

  • As a thin-walled structure, local joint flexibility (LJF) in a tubular structure is prominent, and it may produce significant effect on the static performance for the overall structure. This study presents a simplified analytical model to analyze the static behavior for a steel tubular structure with LJF. The presented model simplifies a tubular structure into a frame model consisted of beam elements with considering the LJFs at the connections between any two elements. Theoretical equations of the simplified analytical model are deduced. Through comparison with 3-D finite element results of two typical planar tubular structures consisted of T- and Y-joints respectively, the presented method is proved to be accurate. Furthermore, the effect of LJF on the overall performance of the two tubular structures (including the deflection and the internal forces) is also investigated, and it is found from analyses of internal forces and deformation that a rigid connection assumption in a frame model by using beam elements in finite element analysis can provide unsafe and inaccurate estimation.

  • The network RTK surveying has been widely used in the field of cadastral surveys in recent years, and its use is gradually expanding. As a result of the implementation of GPS static surveys by civilian companies in accordance with the progress of the cadastral surveys and gradual civilian transfer plans and cadastral surveys, there has been an increase in the number of civilian companies performing surveys. In this paper, we describe the process of applying the results of analysis of conformity using the network RTK site calibration function on the local coordinate system to the GPS static surveying of the cadastral reference points in Anyang city. In addition, the measurement results of the network RTK site calibration function and the results of the GPS static surveying network reconciliation in the local coordinate system were compared, and the performance was determined within 0.04m maximum of RMSE(Root Mean Square Error), and further study on the application method is needed.
