We focused m community care and home care service of community welfare center and community health center. Result : Free oriental medical services are offered in many places, but a lot of them are temporary and hard to continue due to financial problem and lack of specialist. Local residents want to know about oriental medicine but few OMDs are willing to participate, thereforen, unqualified lectures of such as hand acupuncture, moxibustion, meridian massage prevail among them. This leads to illegal oriental medical services in the name of volunteer medical work. Conclusion The system is needed that local OMD association take part in community welfare of oriental medical service and care with community welfare center and community health center. Local volunteer medical services and researches of medical policy can help increase the chance for OMDs to go into social welfare system of the aged.

  • This study aims at exploring the restoration of local community based on apartment residential space through the questionnaire survey of residents and community movement organizers. Apartment residential space has a serious limit to the restoration of local community due to the physical feature of closing compartment. But, at the same time, it has many communal elements as well. The survey shows that residential community movements are developing beyond compensatory community movement, although it is yet to be an ideal type of local community in a nonnative sense. Generally, apartment women's associations, together with the representative commission of residents, play a key role in residential community movements. Particularly, community movement activities have a positive effect on improving the neighborhood relationship. Residents themselves think so as well. This study implies the value and possibility of apartment residential movement as an alternative strategy against contemporary urban problems.

  • Power generation using solar PV and wind power are more feasible to compete with fossil fuel power generation. However, residential acceptance is still a big challenge in the deployment of renewable energy. The Korean government has implemented various policies to support the development of renewable energy in which communities invest. However, there are very few cases of the commercial operation of community-invested renewable energy power plants. Renewable energy has attracted attention in the reduction of greenhouse gasses (GHG) effects and economic feasibility. However, it is also necessary to focus on socio-economic effects to overcome the economic recession while reducing greenhouse emissions. Community-invested renewable energy development projects can positively revitalize the local economy in many aspects, such as resident income, job creation, and the growth of local businesses. This study analyzes the local economic impact of renewable energy development projects on residents' income and job creation. It increased local companies' sales through community-invested development projects in Korea.
