  • This paper proposes an expert system with improved heuristics in order to enhence convergence rate to the optimal solution when an emergence problem occurrs in the automated large scale distribution system. These heurictics, which a re obtained from the line loss and load balancing change after a line section transferred, are newly adopted for the emergence problem.

  • A cross drilling/milling Unit is an important mechanical part which is widely used in many kinds of machining tool, and various gear trains with good accuracy and reliability features are widely used in power transmission systems. A study on a novel power transmission optimization method for driving gear trains in cross drilling/milling units is presented in this paper. A commercial program for gear system simulation, Romax Designer, was used in this research to intuitively observe the gear meshing and the load distribution conditions on the gear teeth. We obtained the optimal modification value through comparing the results of repeated experiments. For validation, optimized gears were fabricated and then measured with a precision tester.

  • The one-parameter singular expression for stresses and displacements near a crack tip has been widely thought to be sufficiently accurate over a reasonable re ion for any geometry and loading conditions. In many cases, however subsequent terms of the series expansion are quantitatively significant, and so we now consider the evaluation of such terms and their effect on the predicted crack growth direction. For this purpose the problem of a cracked orthotropic plate subjected to a biaxial load is analysed. It is assumed that the material is ideal homogeneous anisotropic. BY considering the effect of the load applied parallel to the plane of the crack, the distribution of stresses and displacements at the crack tip is reanalyzed. In order to determine values for the angle of initial crack extension we employ the normal stress ratio criterion.

  • 2012년 1월부터 공간정보 오픈플랫폼의 서비스가 시작된 이래로, 서비스가 늘어남에 따라 서비스 이용자 수와 시스템의 규모가 크게 증가하게 되었다. 그러나 이러한 오픈플랫폼 시스템이 가지고 있는 하드웨어 자원들이 어느 수준의 서비스를 처리할 수 있는지에 대한 자세한 분석 결과는 전혀 알 수 없었다. 이러한 이유로 특정 이슈와 더불어 서비스 이용자가 급증할 때마다 서비스를 처리하기 위하여 단순히 하드웨어 증설을 통해 일시적으로 서비스 지연 문제를 해결하여 왔다. 이에 본 연구에서는 현재 오픈플랫폼이 보유하고 있는 시스템 성능을 정확히 파악하여 향후 동일한 문제가 발생하지 않도록 근본적인 해결책을 제시하고자 한다. 구체적으로 본 연구에서는 NMON을 이용한 하드웨어 성능 분석과 nGrinder를 이용한 웹서비스 부하 테스트를 통해 오픈플랫폼이 현재 가지고 있는 정확한 시스템 성능을 파악하고, 이후 보다 나은 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 시스템으로 개선하기 위한 자원 재조정 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

일정하중 운전조건 하에서 공기혼입이 터보챠져 저어널베이링의 성능에 미치는 영향 (Aeration Effects on the Performance of Turbocharger Journal Bearing under Constant Load Operating Condition)

  • Turbocharger bearings are under the circumstance of high temperature, moreover rotated at high speed. It is necessary to be designed overcoming the high temperature. So the type of oil inlet port, the inlet oil temperature and the sort of engine oil should be designed, controlled and selected carefully in order to reduce the bearing inside temperature. In this study, the influence of aerated oil on a high-speed journal bearing is also examined by using the classical thermohydrodynamic lubrication theory coupled with analytical models for viscosity and density of air-oil mixture in fluid-film bearing. Convection to the walls and mixing with supply oil and re-circulating oil are considered. The considered parameters for the study of bubbly lubrication are oil inlet port's type, oil aeration level and shaft speed. It is found that the type of oil inlet ports and shaft speed play important roles in determining the temperature and pressure distribution, then the friction in a journal bearing at high speed operation. Also, the results show that, under extremely high shaft speed, the high shear effects on aerated oil and the high temperature effects are canceled out each other. So, the bearing load and friction show almost no difference between the aerated oil and pure oil.

고선회 터빈 동익 팁 표면에서의 열전달 특성 (Heat Transfer Characteristics on the Tip Surface of a High-Turning Turbine Rotor Blade)

  • The heat/mass transfer characteristics on the plane tip surface of a high-turning first-stage turbine rotor blade has been investigated by employing the naphthalene sublimation technique. At the Reynolds number of $2.09{\times}10^5$, heat/mass transfer coefficients are measured for the tip gap height-to-chord ratio, h/c, of 2.0% at turbulence levels of Tu = 0.3 and 14.7%. A tip-surface flow visualization is also performed for h/c = 2.0% at Tu = 0.3%. The results show that there exists a strong flow separation/re-attachment process, which results in severe local thermal load along the pressure-side corner, and a pair of vortices named "tip gap vortices" in this study is identified along the pressure and suction-side tip corners near the leading edge. The loci and subsequent development of the pressure- and suction-side tip gap vortices are discussed in detail. The combustor-level high inlet turbulence, which increases the tip-surface heat/mass transfer, provides more uniform thermal-load distribution.

고속 고정밀 볼 스크류 구동에 따른 강제 냉각방식의 효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on Effect of Various Cooling Methods in Motion of High-Precision Ball Screw)

  • Ball screw system is widely used as a precision mechanical linear actuator that translates rotational motion to linear motion for its high efficiency, great stiffness and long life. Recently, according to the requirements of high accuracy and stiffness, the pre-load on the ball screw which means of remove the backlash in the ball screw is usually used. Because of the preload which means the frictional resistance between the screw and nut, becomes a dominating heat source and it generates thermal deformation of ball screw which is the reason for low accuracy of the positioning decision. There are several methods to solve the problem that includes temperature control, thermal stable design and error compensation. In the past years, researchers focused on the error compensation technique for its ability to correct ball screw error effectively rather than the capabilities of careful machine design and manufacturing. Significant amounts of researches have been done to real-time error compensation. But in this paper, we developed a series of cooling methods to get thermal equilibrium in the ball screw system. So we find the optimum cooling type for improving positioning error which caused by thermal deformation in the ball screw system.

무효전력을 고려한 마이크로그리드의 단독운전 판단 알고리즘 (Islanding detection algorithm for microgrid considering reactive power)

  • A microgrid is a new type of power system which is formed by the interconnection of small generator to distribution systems. Microgrids are able to supply electric power to their loads independently, which is called with islanding operation, even if they're separated from the power system. As a result, microgrids must be equipped with specific islanding detection schemes for the islanding operation of microgrids. This paper studies an islanding detection method considering reactive power. The proposed method is dealing with the reactive power of the cable which connects between a microgrid and a power system. To show the validity of the proposed method, many islanding operation cases are tested by varying the load conditions of microgrids.

향후 신뢰도 목표를 만족하는 개폐기 설치 기준 제시 (The Switch Installation Criteria For Satisfying Future Reliability Goal)

  • The addition of switches to a distribution feeder does, in general, increase reliability by decreasing the duration of the outage of many to the customers on the feeder. To cover its service area so that feeder-level delivery reaches sufficiently close to all customers, feeders typically split their routes many times, in what is often called a lateral feeder. It is interesting to note, however, that the effectiveness of a switch is very much dependent on the types of lateral feeder. The types of lateral are classified into two types. The first is loop lateral feeder that can connect its load to an adjacent feeder through a tie line in case that a fault occurs in its feeder and it is laid out so that every feeder has complete fault backup through re-switching of its loads to other sources like a main feeder The second is the radial lateral feeder cannot connect its load to an adjacent line, no provision is made for contingency backup of feeders. There are no other circuits in the radial lateral feeder form which to restore power. In this study, we evaluate the effectiveness of a switch installation between on the radial and loop lateral feeders to increase reliability by decreasing the duration of the outage. These results can help power utility to design the switch layouts on the radial and loop lateral feeder system.

  • The rotation of a spindle unit must be accurate for high-quality machining and to improve the quality of the machine tools. Therefore, the proper measurement of the rotation accuracy and ensuring a proper analysis are very important. Separate processes are necessary because spindle errors and roundness errors associated with the test balls can both factor into the measured rotation error values. We used three methods to discern test ball errors and analyzed which could be deemed as the most proper technique in a test of the rotation accuracy of the main spindle of a machine tool.
