Fallen and living pine needles bearing ascocarps were collected throughout the country from February, 1987 to October, 1988 to identify and describe Lophodermium species associated with Lophodermium needle cast disease of pines in Korea. All of the observed characteristics of given species were compared with published descriptions of the Lophodermium species. As a result of this study, six Lophodermium species were identified and described. L. pinastri was previously recorded while the other five species, i.e., L. australe, L. durzlabrum, L. nitens, L. pini-excelsae and L. pini-pumilae, were unrecorded in Korea. One Lophodermium species has not been fully identified in this study, and tentatively named as L. sp-1. L. australe was observed on the needles of Pinus rigida, P. rigida ${\times}$ taeda and P. taeda, L. pini-excelsae on P. parviflora and P. strobus, L. nitens, L. durilabrum and L. pini-pumilae on P. koraiensis, L. sp-1 on P. thunbergii and L. pinastri on P. densiflora and P. taeda. L. sp-1 was collected from the diseased regions of 2-year-old needles of P. thunbergii and L. durilabrum from P. koraiensis, suggesting pathogenic nature of these fungi.
This article is aimed at understanding the political narratives represented in the National Museum of Indonesia. Starting initially as a colonial museum, the National Museum of Indonesia functioned as a useful tool for the Dutch colonial force to fuel its imaginations of the colonial territory and the people within it. The Dutch used the cultural display to advertize its benevolent colonial rule. All the while, the museum also inevitably reflected orientalism on the people and the culture of the colony. The republic of Indonesia inherited the colonial museum's practices and its display patterns. The business surrounding the museum also played a key role in the newly-born nation-state laying out a future for its redefined territory and people. Thus, what the colonial force imagined for the colonial territory through the study of museum displays was rather directly transferred to the republic without serious consideration of the decolonization process. Four main characteristics have been seen in the museum displays. The first is an emphasis on the glorious Hindu-Buddha history, from which numerous temples, statues, and jewelry have been found. Secondly, the Islamic period, which spanned between the Hindu-Buddha times to the colonial era, has almost completely been eliminated from the display. Third, the colonial era has been depicted as the time of Europe's exportation of scientific tools and adaption of sophisticated living patterns. Fourth, the images of ethnic groups were represented as being stagnant without reflecting any challenges and responses that these groups had faced throughout history. Looking at these display patterns, it can be concluded that all the dynamic internal developments and anti-colonial resistance that took place during the Islamic and Colonial Era have simply not been represented in the museum display. These display patterns do not reflect the real history or culture of the archipelago. Two considerations are thought to have influenced the neglecting of social realities in the display. The first of which is the Dutch's and Republic's apprehension over the possible political upheaval by the Islamic forces. Yet, more fundamentally, cultural displays themselves are distinct from historical education in that the former pays more attention to business ideas with an aim to attract tourists rather than to project objective historical knowledge. Thus, in cultural displays, objects which work to stimulate fantasies and spur curiosity on archipelagic culture tend to be selected and emphasized. In this process, historical objectivity is sometimes considered less vital. Cultural displays are set up to create more appealing narratives for viewers. Therefore, if a narrative loses its luster, it will be replaced by another flashy and newly-resurrected memory. This fact reveals that museums, as transmitters of historical knowledge, have a certain degree of limitation in playing their role.
Using the Korean Survey of Household Finances and Living Conditions panel data from 2012~2016, this study analyzed youth (19~34 years) poverty and employment and examined the factors that affect employment status. The analysis revealed an increase in the proportion of young people who are students or jobless; the economic conditions of the young people varied by factors such as marital status, education, job status, and loans; and the government public transfer policy had little impact on reducing the relative poverty rate of the youth. We also examined the factors affecting the youth's employment status and the risk of being employed in low-paid jobs, using multi-logit and logit regression model respectively. Considering employment status, the older and more educated the youth were, the less frequently they were employed in temporary or daily jobs instead of regular ones, but there was no difference between genders in terms of having temporary or daily jobs. A logit analysis on the determinants of low-paid jobs demonstrated that women, the less educated, spouses or children of the household, and temporary or daily workers have a greater probability of working at low-paid jobs. As women became older, their risk of having low-paid jobs increased, which demonstrated the phenomenon of "lock-in" at low-paid jobs. Temporary or daily workers of all age groups faced a higher risk of lowpaid employment, which stood out for the youth. Based on these results, we suggest that government employment and welfare policies should consider individual characteristics of the youth and their life cycle, along with efforts to supply decent jobs, continuously and stably.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of successful intervention program on SOC strategy and successful aging of the elderly. Methods : Three elderly individuals aged ${\geq}65$ living in W-si, Gangwon-do, were included. A successful aging program using an SOC strategy was conducted twice a week for 6 sessions. To verify the effectiveness of the program, the Korean versions of the SOC scale and the successful aging scale were used. Descriptive statistics were used for general characteristics, and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test was used to compare successful aging and SOC strategies. Results : After 3 weeks for successful aging program, the SOC strategy levels of the subjects were constant or improved. In addition, the average score of successful aging level increased by 11.4 points. Conclusion : This study show that the successful aging program using the SOC strategy improved the level of SOC strategy and the level of successful aging. The results of this study can be used as basic data to develop programs that can promote SOC strategy and successful aging. Also, the result of this study can be used as a basic data for the development of guidelines for occupational therapists in the future.

The Gwangyang City of Jeonnam Province, is one of the steel cities representing the Korea. Gwangyang Steelworks are the core of the local economy, and 59 firms of POSCO Outsourcing Partner Cooperation(POSPA) have been employed 9,300 to 9,500 peoples, and have been acted as an central incubator for job creation. POSPA, however, are suffering from the retirement of company in young age group, in their 20s and 30s. The purpose of this study is to analyze potential job seekers' perceptions and job preferences for POSPA are suffering from job openings. In order to this research purpose, it used questionary survey, and sample groups were divided into three areas, the Eastern Jeonnam Province, Gwangju, and the Seoul metropolitan area. Potential job seekers' perceptions for POSPA was low, and perceptions on firm and job opportunity information was lower. This characteristics were the same as those of respondents living in eastern South Jeolla Province. Potential job seekers, however, showed high preference for finding job at POSPA. A place-based policy considering the local labor market is needed to resolve the mismatch between the difficulty of finding a labor and the difficulty of finding a job.
Two hypotrichous ciliates inhabiting the representative terrestrial habitats of Jindo Island, Holostichides chardezi Foissner, 1987 and Rigidocortex octonucleatus (Foissner, 1988) are found from Jindo Island. These two species are newly recorded from Korea. The description was based on the observation of living specimens, protargol impregnated specimens and biometric analysis. The morphological variations among the populations of these species were investigated with morphometry. The diagnostic characteristics of these species are as follows: Holostichides chardezi : elongate body flexible and twisted, yellowish subpellicular granules scattered entire cortex, adoral zone of membranelles covering about $28\%$ of body length, left and right rows of mid-ventral cirri paired, left row ended at buccal vertex and right row extending to center of body, no transverse cirri, both marginal rows of cirri not confluent at posterior end, 28-42 macronuclei and 1-5 micronuclei scattered entire body. 3 caudal cirri and 4 dorsal kineties. Rigidocortex octonucleatues: elongate-oval body rigid and not contractile, yellowish cytoplasmic crystals and fat globules densely packed, adoral zone of membranelles covering about $40\%$ of body length, 5 transverse cirri, both marginal rows of cirri not confluent at posterior end, 8 macronuclei longitudinally arranged in median of cell, 3 caudal cirri and 7-10 fragmented dorsal kineties.
Researching the soil fungal community is important to understand the interaction between fungi and living plants. However, too few studies have examined the soil fungal community and their interactions with plants. Rhododendron mucronulatum, commonly known as Korean rosebay, is an important forest resource that has aesthetic, ecological, and potential pharmacological values. We used a pyrosequencing method to analyze the characteristics of fungal communities from R. mucronulatum soil samples from Biseul mountain county park, which is one of the famous places for large R. mucronulatum colonies in South Korea. We collected soil core samples in February and August at three sites in the Biseul Mountain County Park, taking into consideration the regional and seasonal conditions. We obtained 454,157 validated reads after pyrosequencing all six samples. The fungal communities from the first observation spot in August had the richest species diversity among the samples. Basidiomycota, Ascomycota, and Mortierellomycota were major phyla in the samples. Agaricales_f, Mortierellaceae, and Clavariaceae were major families in the samples. The genus Mortierella was the most dominant in all six samples. Overall, 19 genera could be associated with R. mucronulatum. Sample 1 had 109 genera in sample 1, sample 2 had 111 genera, and sample 3 had 112 genera that were uniquely identified. The samples collected in August had 28 identified genera, that existed only in summer samples, indicating a weather effect. This study can be used as basic research to understand the relationship between soil fungi and plants.
This study aims to analyze gender differences in the prevalence of and risk factors for self-neglect among the elderly in South Korea. In order to investigate the differences between male and female elderly group, we compared 793 elderly men and 1,089 women from the data "Research on the Healthy Aging and Well-being of the Elderly" conducted in 2018. First, t-test and ${\chi}^2$-test and multiple regression analysis identified that gender differences in the prevalence of elder self-neglect was not statistically significant. Second, There are differences in risk factors affecting self-neglect between genders. age and class(perception) are the factors only affecting men. Income(monthly), having-religion, living-alone, satisfaction with life, social network are the ones only affecting women. Third, the risk factors for both men and women are depression and social support(public support). It is notable that we verify the empirical evidence supporting the hypothesis that risk factors for elder self-neglect may exist differently according to gender. In particular, gender characteristics revealed in this study can be reasonably explained through exchange theory and feminist theory. Therefore, we emphasize that the policy approach should be done depending on the gender of the elderly, and that the social safety net more paying attention to the depression of the elderly should be strengthened.

Urban green spaces, as a means to mitigate social problems and environmental risks, are getting more attention in evaluating urban environment. The inequity of green space distribution is becoming a major issue in urban planning and management. This study investigated the characteristics of green space in 3 districts (Jung-gu, Dongdaemun-gu, Seongdong-gu), that are composed of 46 administrative divisions in central Seoul, to analyze the environmental equity of urban green spaces. The correlations between the amount of green space, including the coverage of street trees, and the socioeconomic status of each administrative division were analyzed. To deduce the effects of plant coverage on the urban temperature regime, the relationship between the normalized difference of vegetation index (NDVI) and land surface temperature (LST) was analyzed. The research revealed that the mean NDVI of an administrative division was negatively correlated with the percentage of basic living recipients and disabled people. The LST of a division with low NDVI was higher due to the lack of green coverage. Such environmental inequities were closely related to residential building type, which was strongly affected by the economic status of residents. The LST of an apartment area was $2.0^{\circ}C$ lower than that of single-family houses and multi-housing areas. This is expected as the average NDVI of the apartment area was more than twice as high as the other environments considered in this study. The inequity can be exacerbated without urban planning which is deliberately designed to reduce it.

MaaS, which provides all-in-one service for comfort mobility for customers, has been popularly researched and developed mainly in Europe. Even in Korea, the research on MaaS is also carried out which is fit to the mobility environment and needs of Korea. Korea Land & Housing Corporation(LH) also carries out research on MaaS called 'Integrated Mobility' for the residents living in LH public apartments. This study categorised the around 800 public apartments into 12 groups based on 3 key characteristics, then analysed the preference on shared-transport services by the residents of representing apartments for the each group using C&RT method. The results show that the preference on shared-transport services such as car-sharing and ride-sharing (carpool) were higher in the apartments which are located in medium or small cities or lived by the more handicapped resident groups in mobility such as the elderly. The study suggests the method to analysis the relationship between residents' preference on shared transport services and bounded ertain areas such as apartments or districts and then to introduce shared transport service fit to target areas.
