오존 접촉농도가 양돈슬러리 2차 처리수의 고도처리 효율에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Ozone Concentration on AOP Efficiency of Secondary Effluent from Pig Slurry Purification System)

  • 돈분뇨 슬러리 2차 처리수를 대상으로 하여 오존과 과산화수소 등을 적용한 시험결과를 요약한 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 동일한 시료에 동일한 처리시간 동안 처리하였을 경우, 주입한 오존 농도에 따라 처리수의 색도변화가 육안적으로 쉽게 확인할 정도의 차이를 나타냈다. 2. BOD와 COD 그리고 색도는 처리시간이 경과함에 따라 8.4 g/hr 오존 주입 수준에서의 제거효과가 다른 처리구에 비해 크게 나타났다. 반면에 SS는 오존 적용농도에 큰 영향을 받지 않는 것으로 나타났고, 질소와 인도 오존처리 효율이 높지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 3. 돈분뇨 슬러리 2차 처리수에 오존을 적용할 경우 색도 등 오염성 물질 제거효과와 더불어 생물학적 안정성 확보도 가능한 것으로 판단된다. 4. 돈분뇨 슬러리 3차 처리수에 과산화수소수를 첨가할 경우 2차 오염에 의한 잔존세균의 감소효과 및 암모니아 발산감소로 인해 돈분뇨 2차 및 3차 처리수의 중수도 개념으로서의 재활용 가능성에 대한 긍정적 요인으로 작용할 수 있는 것으로 판단된다.

왕겨 활성 바이오차 혼합 비율에 따른 우분 호기소화 시 온실가스 발생 특성 (Characteristics of Greenhouse Gas Emissions with Different Combination Rates of Activated Rice Hull Biochar during Aerobic Digestion of Cow Manure)

  • BACKGROUND: Among the biomass conversion techniques of livestock manure, composting process is a method of decomposing organic matter through microorganisms, and converting it into fertilizer in soil. The aerobic composting process is capable of treating cow manure in large quantities, and produces greenhouse gas as CO2 and N2O, although it has economical benefit. By using the activated rice hull biochar, which is a porous material, it was intended to mitigate the greenhouse gas emissions, and to produce the compost of which quality was high. Objective of this experiment was to estimate CO2 and N2O emissions through composting process of cow manure with different cooperated biochar contents. METHODS AND RESULTS: The treatments of activated rice hull biochar were set at 0%, 5%, 10% and 15%, respectively, during composting cow manure. The CO2 emission in the control was 534.7 L kg-1, but was 385.5 L kg-1 at 15% activated rice hull biochar. Reduction efficiency of CO2 emission was estimated to be 28%. N2O emission was 0.28 L kg-1 in the control, but was 0.03 L min-1 at 15% of activated rice hull biochar, estimating about 89% reduction efficiency. CONCLUSION: Greenhouse gas emissions during the composting process of cow manure can be reduced by mixing with 15% of activated rice hull biochar for eco-friendly compost production.

무기태인산과 톱밥발효가축분이 Alfalfa 단파초지의 토양변화와 생산성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Productivity of Alfalfa Monoculture by Inorganic Phosphaate and Fermented Cow and poultry manure Levels Mixed with Sawdust)

  • To investigate the effects of inorganic phosphate ($P_2O_5$ 200kg/ha), fermented cow manures($P_2O_5$ 200kg/ha, 400kg/ha) and poultry manures($P_2O_5$ 200kg/ha, 400kg/na) levels mixed with sawdust on the soil changes and productivity of alfalfa monoculture, a field experiment arranged by randonmized complete block design was conducted at National Livestock Research Institute in Suwon, September, 1993 to December 1995. The results are as follows. S1. Soil pH was changed from 5.40(before experiment) to 6.17(fermented cow manure, $P_2O_5$ 400kg/ha), 6.76 (fermented poultry manure, $P_2O_5$400kg/ha) and 6.3l(inorganic phosphate, $P_2O_5$ 200kg/ha) at 0~5cm depth of subsoil, respectively. Organic contents after experiment were lower as a range of 2.41%~3.15% than those before experiment. 2. Total nitrogen contents of each treatment showed as 0.13%~0.16% at 0~5cm depth of subsoil comparing with before experiment(0.15%). Available phosphate content of inorganic phosphate($P_2O_5$200kgha) was highest as 405ppm. lowest as 125ppm(fermented poultry manure, $P_2O_5$ 200kg/ha) than before trial(205ppm). 3. K and Ca contents of after experiment were appeared to 0.22%~0.78% and 6.45%~9.45% comparing with before experiment(0.10% and 3.56%), respectively. 4. During two years, average DM yield of fermented cow rnanure($P_2O_5$ 400kg/ha) was highest as 11, 731kg/ha and lowest as 9, 017kg/ha at fermented poultry manure plot($P_2O_5$ 200kg/ha) with as sawdust, but no significant difference was found among treatment(P>0.05). 5. CP production, NEL and TDN yield of fermented cow manure($P_2O_5$ 400kg/ha) were highest as 2, 282kg/ha 69, 900kg/ha and 6, 392kg/ha, respectively, but no significant difference among treatment(P>0.05). 6. In inorganic contents of alfalfas, there was not show same tendency in accordance with treatments. As a results mentioned above, it was possible to use 200kg $P_2O_5/ha$ of fermented cow or poultry manure with sawdust instead of inorganic phosphae fertilizer.

한국형 광역친환경 논 농업단지 토양의 시기별 양분 분석 (Seasonal Nutrient Analysis of Paddy Soils in Korean Type of Large Scale Environment-friendly Agricultural District)

  • 본 시험은 전국의 광역친환경 농업단지 중에서 모범적으로 친환경 농업을 실천하고 있는 3곳(장흥, 순천, 옥천)의 벼 농가를 대상으로 시기별로 양분 분석을 하였다. 장흥지역 농가만이 경축자원 순환농업을 실천하고 있는 것으로 관찰되었다. 광역친환경 벼 농업단지의 3~9월 사이의 시기별 토양 pH는 5.5~6.7의 분포를 보였고, EC는 $0.4{\sim}1.0dS\;m^{-1}$으로 나타났다. 시기별 토양 전질소는 순천 농가에서 높았고 칼륨은 옥천 농가에서 낮은 수준을 보였다. 시기별 토양 암모늄태 질소는 봄철 비료 시용으로 6월 전후에 상승하였고, 장흥 농가에서 가장 높은 수준을 보이다가 이후 크게 감소하였다. 수량과 수확지수가 가장 높았던 옥천 농가에서 ha당 연간 조수입이 다른 농가보다 세배 가까이 높은 수준을 보였다. 비교적 많은 비료를 투입한 옥천 농가에서 시기별 양분수지가 높았고, 순천 농가의 ha당 칼륨 수지는 9월에 약 -60 kg까지 관찰되어 칼륨 결핍에 따른 생산성 저하에 일부 영향을 주었을 것으로 추정되었다. 시기별 전질소와 인산수지는 장흥 농가에서 가장 낮은 수준을 보였고 벼 낟알의 질소이용효율도 가장 높아서 광역친환경 농업단지의 추천할 만한 사례 농가로 평가되었다.

한국의 낙농시설 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Dairy Rousing Systems in Kore)

  • Engineering phase of dairy housing systems has close connection with the milk produc- tivity of dairy cattle, the quality of milk, extension of dairy production systems, labor- saving in management of dairy cattle and the like. Moreover, the rate of investment of dairy housing facilities is of relatively high level, However, there has been almost no research effort for the improvement of engineering aspects of dairy housing systems in Korea. The purpose of this study is to find out general engineering problems and to recomm- end the improvement in dairy housing systems in Korea. Field survey by means of questionaire, direct measurements, taking pictures and sketching was conducted to get necessary information for the study. Kyung-ki Do region was firstly chosen for sampling area since it has included more than half of the number of dairy farms of the whole country. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. In overall dairy farm layout, the dwellings of workers were ignored in the light of sanitary environment 2. The layout of stalls in a dairy barn belongs mostly to the type of double-row face-out, which is compatible with the emphasis of manure disposal activities. 3. While the width and length of stalls were sufficiently close to the standard dimension, the width of mangers was much less than the standard dimension. 4. The width and depth of manure gutters and the width of working alleys were much. less than the standard dimension. 5. The mooring equipment was mostly in the classes of chain or rope. The watering equipment was not facilitated independantly except the one cese of using watercup. 6. The bucket milkers with one or two bucket milkers with the capacity of two cattles. each were used as milking equipment in most dairy farms. 7. There were only few milk rooms independently spaced from other space, in which the arrangement of milking equipment was much less than the standard condition. 8. The lounging ground area was averaged to be sufficient for the activity of dairy herd. 9. Silos for silage used during winter consisted of mostly bunker silos, trench silos and underground vertical silos. Ordinary vertical silos were considered for the farmers to be inconvenient for the labor saving. 10. From the view point of heat conservation and moisture removal within the dairy barns, windows were not flexible for the easy ventilation and ceiling part was not adequate for temperatur maintenance. 11. Waste treatment and disposal systems were not provided with most dairy farms, therefore the livestock waste pollution problems would be serious in the near future.

체외수정 및 미세조작에 의한 가축(胚)의 생산과 효율적 이용에 관한 연구 II. 소 체외수정 난포란의 발생단계별 동결가 이식후의 생존성 (Studies on Production and Efficient Utilization of Livestock Embryos by In Vitro Fertilization and Micromainipulation II. Effects of Embryonic Development on Survival after Freezing Transfer in Bovine Oocytes Fertilized In Vitro)

  • The effects of in vitro maturation and sperm treatment condition on the in vitro fertilization (IVF) and developmental capacity of bovine oocytes were investigated and the development of embryos was compared under the 2 different co-culture system, with GC or BOEC. The cultured embryo to 16 cell or morula wre transferred into recipients or frozen by 2 different freezing method. The results obtained were summarized as follows; 1. In vitro maturation rates of vovine follicular oocytes cultrued in TCM199 with 10% FCS or ECS were 64.0% and 72.7%, but the case of addition of 10% FCS or ECS to TCM199 co-cultured with granulosa cells were 81.3% and 84.0%, respectively. IVM rate of three TCM199 added to granulosa cells was higher than that of media without granulosa cells. 2. When bovine follicular oocytes were matured in TCM199 with 10% FCS and GC and then fertilized in vitro by sperm treated with caffeine, embryo developments of bovine oocytes co-cultured with BOEC were 38.4% and 51.4%, respectively. But those of bovine oocytes co-cultured with GC were 52.2% by sperm treated with caffeine-heparin. 3. Cleavage rates of bovine oocytes cultured with 10% FCS alone and fertilized in vitro by sperm treated with caffeine-heparin was 33.0%. 4. When bovine follicular oocytes were matured in TCM199 with 10% FCS and GC, embryo developments of bovine ooctyes co-cultured with BOEC of GC were 46.0% and 50.2%, respectively. 5. When bovine follicular oocytes were matured in TCM199 with 10% ECS and GC, embryo developments co-cultured with BOEC or GC were 45.2% and 51.4%, respectively. 6. When Korean Native cow's follicular oocytes matured in TCM199 with 10% FCS and GC, embryo developed co-cultured with BOEC or GC were 45.2% and 51.4%, respectively. 6. When Korean Native cow's follicular oocytes matured in TCM199 with 10% FCS and GC, embryo developments of the bovine oocyte co-cultured with BOEC and GC were 41.8% and 60.1%. But with FCS 10% those of the bovine oocytes co-cultured with BOEC and GC were 42.0% and 48.4%, respectively. 7. When Holstein's follicular oocytes were matured in TCM199 with 10% ECS and GC, embryo developments fo the bovine oocytes co-cultured with BOEC and GC were 50.0% and 57.7%, but with ECS 10% those of the bovine oocytes co-cultured with BOEC and GC were 52.2% and 56.5%, respectively. 8. The viability of frozen-thawed embryos ranged from 60~80% and those of frozen-thawed embryos from vitrification was lower than that from conventional metiod. 9. The selected fresh embryos were transferred nonsurgically to 7 recipients but did not result in pregnancy.

Effects of Thymol, Eugenol and Malate on In vitro Rumen Microbial Fermentation

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate effects of increased levels of eugenol, thymol and malate on pH and the concentrations of VFA, lactate and ammonia-N during in vitro ruminal incubation. One Hanwoo beef steer (741 kg) fitted with a rumen cannula was used and fed 0.5 kg/day rice straw and 10 kg/day corn-based concentrate (ratio of concentrate to rice straw = 95 : 5 on DM basis). Three different doses of thymol, eugenol and malate were used. Treatments of the experiment were as follows: Treatments of thymol were control (1g D-glucose/40ml), T1 (1g D-glucose + 40 mg thymol/40 ml), T2 (1g D-glucose + 50 mg thymol/40 ml) and T3 (1g D-glucose + 60 mg thymol/40 ml). Treatments of eugenol were control (1g D-glucose/40 ml), E1 (1g D-glucose + 55 mg eugenol/40 ml), E2 (1g D-glucose + 65 mg eugenol/40 ml) and E3 (1g D-glucose + 75 mg eugenol/40 ml). Treatments of malate were control (1g D-glucose/40ml), M1 (1g D-glucose + 25 mg malate/40ml), M2 (1g D-glucose + 50 mg malate/40 ml) and M3 (1g D-glucose + 100 mg malate/40 ml). The results of this study showed that eugenol and thymol have improved stability of the ruminal fermentation by decreasing lactic acid concentration and increasing ruminal pH. However, it inhibited the production of total VFA, acetate and propionate. Malate also improved stability of the ruminal fermentation by decreasing lactic acid concentration and increasing ruminal pH, but it had a very little effect on ruminal lactate concentrations and pH. On the other hand, malate did not decrease the concentrations of total VFA, acetate and propionate. Therefore, at the low ruminal pH expected in high-concentrate diets, thymol, eugenol, and malate are potentially useful in Hanwoo finishing diets. Further studies are necessary for determining the effectiveness of these additives on in vivo rumen fermentation and animal performance in Hanwoo finishing steers.

돼지 미성숙 난자의 체외 성숙 시간이 배 발생과 부화에 미치는 영향 (Effect of In Vitro Maturation Time of Porcine Immature Oocytes on the Subsequent Development and Hatching after In Vitro Fertilization)

  • 본 연구는 돼지 체외 수정란의 생산에 있어서 체외성숙 시간이 핵성숙, 다정자 침입율 및 배 발생과 배반포의 부화율 배반포의 부화에 미치는 효과를 검토하였다. 돼지 난포란의 핵성숙율이 체외성숙 36, 38, 40, 42 및 44 시간째에 각각 68.0, 78.0, 79.5, 73.8 및 81.8%로서 각 군간에 유사한 경향이었으며, 체외 수정 후 다정자 침입율도 각각 48.7, 36.0, 44.4, 38.9 및 31.8%로서 차이가 없었다. 체외 성숙 시간에 따른 2세포기 발달율은 체외 성숙 36시간군이 77.3%로서 가장 높았고, 체외 성숙 40 및 44 시간의 70.6 및 70.3%와는 유의차가 인정되었다(p<0.05). 배반포 발달율은 38시간군의 23.1%가 체외 성숙 44 시간군의 15.6%보다 유의하게 높았다(p<0.05). 따라서 돼지 난포란의 44시간 체외 성숙이 배 발생에 비효과적이었다.

  • 본(本) 시험(試驗)은 여름철 청예사초(靑刈飼草)로서 이용(利用)이 급증하고 있는 수단그라스계(系) 잡종(雜種) [수수-수단그라스잡종(雜種); Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench] 중 우리나라에서 생산성(生産性)과 적응성(適應性)이 가장 우수(優秀)하다고 인정된 Pioneer 988을 공시품종(供試品種)으로 하여 질소시비수준(窒素施肥水準)과 예취(刈取)높이가 신지(新枝)(측지(側枝) 및 분얼경(分蘖莖))의 발생(發生), 건물중(乾物重) 및 고사(枯死)에 미치는 영향을 구명(究明)하기 위하여 1981년(年)과 1982년(年) 2년(年)에 걸쳐 서울대(大) 농대(農大) 부속실험목장내 사초시험포(飼草試驗圃)에서 실시(實施)되었으며 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 1. 질소시비수준(窒素施肥水準)은 신지(新枝)의 발생(發生)이나 고사(枯死)에 별 영향을 주지 못하였다. 2. 예취후(刈取后) 신지(新枝)에 있어서 예취(刈取)높이가 낮아질록 측지수(側枝數)는 감소하고 분얼경수(分蘖莖數)는 증가하였다. 3. 재새수량(再生收量)에서 측지(側枝)가 차지하는 비율은 작으며 예취(刈取)높이에 관계없이 대부분의 수량(收量)은 분얼경(分蘖莖)이 차지하였다. 4. 신지(新枝)의 고사(枯死)는 예취(刈取)높이가 낮은 구(區)에서 증가하였다.

몽골에 있어서의 전통적 유산균 발효유제품 (Traditional Dairy Products by Lactic Acid Bacteria in Mongolia)

  • 몽골의 유가공 기술은 중앙아시아 지역의 유목민 생활방식의 독특한 전통에서 온 것으로 고유의 특성을 갖고 있다. 몽골의 전통적인 유가공 방식은 몽골의 토착종인 몽골우의 원유의 품질과 각 유성분 (단백질, 지방, 그리고 유당)의 허실 없는 완전이용 개념에 바탕을 두고 있다. 몽골에서는 다양한 종류의 유즙생산 동물로부터 젖을 취하여 가공하는 것이 발달했으므로 많은 종류의 유제품이 제조되고 있다. 몽골에서는 30종 이상의 유제품이 제조되고 있는데 그 중 36%는 발효유제품이 차지한다. 몽골의 전통적 발효유제품은 그 자체가 매우 특색이 있다. 왜냐하면 유산구균, 유산간균 그리고 효모가 함께 발효 유제품의 스타터로 사용되고 또한 함께 생육하고 있기 때문이다. 몽골에서는 유목민 생활의 여건 하에서 발효유제품에 쓰이는 유산균 스타터의 제조와 보관 방법이 매우 독특하게 전해져 오고 알다. 기존의 발효은 제품을 처리하여 스타터로 준비하거나 몇몇 특별한 야생식물로부터 유산균을 얻는 방식이 독특하다. 지금은 Rheum undulantum L., Rheum ribes L., Rumex acetosa L., Artemisa sibersena L., Artemisa vulgare와 같은 다섯 종류 이상의 야생식물이 유산균 스타터의 균원으로 사용되고 있다. 몽골에서는 젖을 가공할 때 소규모로서 매우 간단한 도구를 사용하는데 특히 발효유제품 가공기술은 배우기가 쉽고 나름대로의 과학적인 현상에 그 바탕을 두고 있다.
