유익(劉益)과 홍정하(洪正夏)의 개방술(開方術) (Liu Yi and Hong Jung Ha's Kai Fang Shu)

  • 조선 산학에서 다항방정식의 해볍에 가장 큰 영향을 준 것은 ${\ll}$양휘산법(楊輝算法)${\gg}$의 전무비유승제첩법(田畝比類乘除捷法)에 인용된 유익(劉益)의 ${\ll}$의고근원(議古根源)${\gg}$에 들어있는 개방술(開方術)이다. 이 논문은 ${\ll}$양휘산법(楊輝算法)${\gg}$에 설명되어 있는 개방술(開方術)을 조사하여 증승개방법(增乘開方法)은 조립제법과 관계없이 이항식$(y+{\alpha})^n$을 전개하는 과정에서 이루어진 것을 밝혀낸다. 이어서 ${\ll}$양휘산법(楊輝算法)${\gg}$을 연구한 홍정하(洪正夏)(1684~?)가 그의 ${\ll}$구일집(九一集)${\gg}$에서 유익(劉益)-양휘(楊輝)와 ${\ll}$산학계몽(算學啓蒙)${\gg}$의 결과를 확장하여 증승개방법(增乘開方法)을 완벽하게 정리한 것을 밝혀낸다.

  • As Chinese philosophy has developed by commentary for the original texts, the Nine Chapters has been greatly improved by the commentary given by Liu Hui and it was transformed from an arithmetic text to Mathematics. Comparing his commentary and Chinese philosophical development up to his date, we conclude that Liu Hui was able to make such a great leap by his thorough understanding of philosophical development.

  • The measurement of diffraction of LCOS microdisplay with various pixel size, interpixel gap, pixel height and coatings demonstrates that pixel size is the leading factor for diffraction loss, while the role of varying pixel gap is less significant comparatively. One-dimensional diffraction simulation is found to be in good agreement with the measurement. Noticeable deviation occurs when pixel size is as small as 8um.

  • 본 연구에서는 동서양 수학사에서 다양한 방식으로 취급된 구의 부피 측도에 대해 고찰한다. 서양수학사에서 발견되는 아르키메데스, 카발리에리, 케플러의 방법에 대비하여, 동양수학사에서 구장산술, 유휘, 조충지와 조긍의 방법, 그리고 조선시대 산학서에서 다루어진 방법에 대해 알아본다. 나아가 이러한 역사적 고찰 결과를 수학 및 수학교육적 관점에서 조명한다. 특히 현행 교과서 및 교수 실제상의 문제 제기로부터 교재 구성을 위한 대안을 모색해본다.

  • A Poly-Si and a ITO films with surface roughness 1.8 nm and 0.5 nm of root mean square ($R_{rms}$ vakue) values were developed, respectively. A 3 inch UXGA LTPS TFT-LCD with 667 ppi resolution and a 10 inch VGA LTPS OLED have been developed and demonstrated using PMOS technology.

Array-based Nano-amplification Technique Was Applied in Detection of Hepatitis E Virus

  • A rapid method for the detection of Hepatitis E Virus (HEV) was developed by utilizing nano-gold labeled oligonucleotide probes, silver stain enhancement and the microarray technique. The 5'-end -$NH_2$ modified oligonucleotide probes were immobilized on the surface of the chip base as the capture probe. The detection probe was made of the 3'-end -SH modified oligonucleotide probe and nano-gold colloid. The optimal concentrations of these two probes were determined. To test the detection sensitivity and specificity of this technique, a conservative fragment of the virus RNA was amplified by the RT-PCR/PCR one step amplification. The cDNA was hybridized with the capture probes and the detection probes on microarray. The detection signal was amplified by silver stain enhancement and could be identified by naked eyes. 100 fM of amplicon could be detected out on the microarray. As the results, preparation of nano-gold was improved and faster. Development time also was shortened to 2 min. Thus, considering high efficiency, low cost, good specificity and high sensitivity, this technique is alternative for the detection of HEV.
