This paper suggests an algorithm to improve QoS by using DTR bit employed in the MIL-STD-188-220 protocol, when there is a multi-path between source and destination in the environment of KVMF tactical network supporting NCW. The MIL-STD-188-220 protocol can evaluate the link quality relatively but it cannot support optimal path selection for QoS. In order to solve this problem, we design an algorithm for selecting path using topology table which reflects measured DTR of path after the completion of transmission. The performance of the proposed algorithm has been evaluated by OPNET simulator. As a result of the simulation, it is found that QoS of proposed algorithm is enhanced higher than that of the MIL-STD-188-220 in the aggravated communication environment.

The wireless sensor network is used to get information that location tracing or data of surrounding areas. Unnecessary retransmission request or many energy consumption because the transmission over the wireless links. In order to select the link of reliable and energy efficient to estimate the quality of radio link technique is required using RSSI, LQI, and so on. In this paper, each path between the sensor nodes, a small in the path within standard deviation of shall be determined the priority. Each path a high priority of the node values, respectively LQI is accumulated. Node can be selected the high LQI value path. Among them the less hop count to select the path is proposed. The proposed algorithm is removed the paths of shorten life using high the LQI value of the entire and high hop count even less variation. So its advantage that the sensor nodes can be selected more reliable path.

Optical burst switching networks usually employ one-way reservation by sending a burst control packet with a specific offset time, before transmitting each data burst Same. Due to such a Property, burst-contentions occur when multiple bursts contend for the same wavelength in the same output link simultaneously in a node, leading to burst losses, eventually degrading the quality of service. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a dynamic routing algorithm using minimum local state information in order to decrease burst-contentions. In this proposed scheme, if burst loss rate exceeds a threshold value at a certain node, a new alternative routing path is chosen according to burst priority and location of burst generation, which enables the contending bursts to detour around the congested link. Moreover, for reducing the effect of sending bursts on the primary path due to the alternative path, we also apply a minimum path-cost based routing on link-cost concept. Our simulation results show that proposed scheme improves the network performance in terms of burst loss probability and throughput by comparing with conventional one.

Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) has drawn much attention due to wide service coverage with low system cost. However, WMN suffers from high bit error rate, which provides different link capacity among wireless mesh routers. The conventional routing metrics select the path based on link quality. The link with the best quality is preferred as the data transmission path, and they becomes the bottleneck links, which leads to network performance degradation. In this paper, we propose a routing metric that considers the available bandwidth and the number of nodes suffering congestion in the path. Through computer simulations, we verified that the proposed routing metric outperforms the existing routing metrics in terms of average transmission delay, packet loss, system throughput.

A number of on-demand routing protocols for sensor networks have been proposed yet. However, the majority of proposed on-demand routing protocols for sensor networks are not suitable for a relatively poor wireless environment and sensor applications requiring reliable data transmission due to using a hop-count metric for their protocols. In this paper, we proposed a minimum LQI(Link Quality Indicator) based on-demand sensor network routing protocol that is suitable for a relatively poor wireless environment and implemented the proposed routing protocol on a TinyOS. We also compared the implemented protocol with typical hop count based routing protocol by carrying out performance experiments on a multi-hop testbed. The results from these experiments showed that the successful transmission rate of the proposed routing protocol is higher than that of typical hop count based routing protocol over a poor wireless link.

The importance of networks is gradually expanding in the battlefield environment. As time goes by, the types of tactical data links used in the Korean JTDLS are increasing, and the military's weapon systems equipped with tactical data link systems are increasing. Thorough quality verification is required to provide stable software to the wider battlefield. This study examines how to prepare an environment in which various simulation tests to verify the stability of the Korean JTDLS project can be conducted as diverse as possible using minimal physical space and Hardware resources. Through this, it is possible to improve the completeness of the project and secure the stability of the program, and it is intended to contribute to securing higher stability and reliability by securing maximum test capabilities in a limited test environment even in Linux based system project of a similar environment.
This paper presents an IHQRR (Integrated High Quality Rectifier Regulator) BIFRED (Boost Integrated Flyback Rectifier Energy Storage DC-DC) converter fed BLDC (Brushless DC) motor drive. A reduced sensor topology is derived by utilizing a BIFRED converter to operate in a dual DCM (Discontinuous Conduction Mode) thus utilizing a voltage follower approach for the PFC (Power Factor Correction) and voltage control. A new approach for speed control is proposed using a single voltage sensor. The speed of the BLDC motor drive is controlled by varying the DC link voltage of the front end converter. Moreover, fundamental frequency switching of the VSI's (Voltage Source Inverter) switches is used for the electronic commutation of the BLDC motor which reduces the switching losses in the VSI. The proposed drive is designed for a wide range of speed control with an improved power quality at the AC mains which falls within the recommended limits imposed by international power quality standards such as IEC 61000-3-2.

This paper presents an adaptive rate control scheme for streaming-based content sharing service. This scheme delivers multimedia contents from a user device to another device or seamlessly redirects streaming service across heterogeneous user devices. In the proposed scheme, a streaming server adjusts video quality level according to the network and client status. Our scheme is different from other rate control schemes, because the video quality at the server is decided not only based on the available bandwidth, but also based on the device characteristics and bandwidth requirement at the access network. We also propose a bandwidth estimation method to achieve more equitable bandwidth allocations among streaming flows competing for the same narrow link with different Round Trip Times (RTTs). Through the simulation, we prove that our scheme improves the network stability and the quality of streaming service by appropriately adjusting the quality of the video stream. The simulation results also demonstrate the ability of the proposed scheme in ensuring RTT-fairness while remaining throughput efficient.

QFD (Quality Function Development) provides a great tool not only to arrange and evaluate VoC(Voice of Customers) and ) and (Voice of Engineers), but also to link and combine VoC and VoE, thereby present ing explicit direct ions for quality improvement. There have been, however, few researches on QFD in the IT industry The case study discussed here serves an illustration of the applicability and usefulness of the QFD approach to website quality improvement . The proposed QFD framework shows great potentials since customers needs are explicitly considered in the framework, and it helps network administrators develop better web services by providing guidelines for redesigning or reengineering the website operations.

In this study, dynamic analysis of a passenger car is carried out to analyze ride quality over a random road profile. The front suspension of the car is a MacPherson strut type and the rear suspension is a multi- link type. The following five different models are constructed and compared to see the effects of engine vibration and chassis flexibility in the ride quality. (1) one rigid chassis model, (2) a rigid chassis and rigid engine model, (3) a rigid engine and flexible chassis model with one vibration mode, (4) one flexible chassis model with six engine vibration modes and one chassis vibration mode, (5) one flexible chassis model with seven vibration modes and four static correction modes. The result shows that engine vibration modes and the first bending mode of the chassis are important in the ride quality.
