  • In spinning satellite, a gyrotorquer generates a control torquer along two orthogonal axes normal to the spin axis of the vehicle. Matrix Fraction Description(MFD) are used to obtain minimal realization of the transfer matrix relating the attitude angles and the rate of rotation of the gimbals of gyrotorquer. In this paper, the Linear Quadratic Gaussian with Loop Transfer Recovery and H.meihodologies are used to design controller for spinning satellite.

  • In this paper, we analyze the effects of scaling factors on the performance of a fuzzy controller. The quantitative relation between input and output variables of a fuzzy controller is obtained by using a quasi-linear fuzzy model. And an approximate transfer function of a fuzzy controller is derived from the comparison of fuzzy controller with the conventional PID controller. Then we analyze the effects of scaling factor using this approximate transfer function and root locus method.

  • This paper presents robustness propertis of the Kalman Fiter and the associated LQG/LTR method for linear time-invariant output-delayed systems. It is shown that, even for minimum phase plants, the LQG/LTR method can not recover the target loop transfer function. Instead, an upper bound on the recovery error is obtained using an upper bound of the solution of the Kalman filter Riccati equations. Finally, some dual properties between output-delayed systems and input-delayed systems are exploited.

  • We synthesized and analyzed the optical transfer function(OTF) of the modified triangular interferometer (MTI) using two-pupil synthesis method. Also, we presented the optimal MTI, which can obtain any bipolar function by combining two wave plates and a linear polarizer. By using the proposed MTI, we can obtain the complex hologram without bias and conjugate image.

  • The intrinsic barrier in the methyl transfer reaction $X^- + CH_3X \rightleftharpoons XCH_3 + X^-$ has been shown to vary quadratically with the C-X distance d; linear dependence of the intrinsic barrier on the deformation energies or methyl cation affinities of the substrate, $CH_3X$, should therefore hold only approximately in a narrow range of structural variations in X.

  • Numerical simulation is conducted to clarify the heat transfer and fluid flow characteristics of traction motor for electric car SIMPLE algorithm based on finite volume method is used to make linear algebra equation. The governing equations are solved by TDMA(TriDiagonal Matrix Algorithm) with line-by-line method and block correction. From the results of simulation, the characteristics of cooling pattern is strongly affected by the size of hole in stator core. In the case of high rotational speed of rotor, temperature difference along the axial direction is more decreased than that of low rotational speed.

  • This paper is on weighted model reduction using structurally balanced truncation. For a given weighted(single or double-sided) transfer function, a state space realization with the linear fractional transformation form is obtained. Then we prove that two block diagonal LMI(linear matrix inequality) solutions always exist, and it is possible to get a reduced order model with guaranteed stability and a priori error bound. Finally, two examples are used to show the validity of proposed weighted reduction method, and the method is compared with other existing methods.

  • In this paper, a controller design method for uncertain linear systems by output feedback is proposed. This method utilizes the LQG/LTR procedure for systems with uncertainties described in the time domain. It is assumed that the uncertainties satisfy the matching conditions and their bounds are known. First, a robust state feedback controller design method is introduced. Then, it is asymtotically recovered for the output feedback system by the loop transfer recovery(LTR) method under a certain condition.
