  • Recently, linear motor has been developed for linear motion of machine tools. Linear motor is useful to design the linear motion, high speed and high accuracy, because of the simple system not required the additional mechanical part such as coupling and ballscrew. This paper tested performance of linear motor relevant to motioning and positioning table such as F.R.F., step response and positional accuracy Linear motion system using linear motor requires the effective cooling system because it cause to decrease the positional error and to protect the motor coil. Therefore the positional error measurement was made to evaluate the effect of the temperature variation.

Direct Position Determination of Coherently Distributed Sources based on Compressed Sensing with a Moving Nested Array

  • The existing direct position determinations(DPD) for coherently distributed(CD) sources are mostly applicable for uniform linear array(ULA), which result in a low degree of freedom(DOF), and it is difficult for them to realize the effective positioning in underdetermined condition. In this paper, a novel DPD algorithm for coherently distributed sources based on compressed sensing with a moving nested array is present. In this algorithm, the nested array is introduced to DPD firstly, and a positioning model of signal moving station based on nested array is constructed. Owing to the features of coherently distributed sources, the cost function of compressed sensing is established based on vectorization. For the sake of convenience, unconstrained transformation and convex transformation of cost functions are carried out. Finally, the position coordinates of the distribution source signals are obtained according to the theory of optimization. At the same time, the complexity is analyzed, and the simulation results show that, in comparison with two-step positioning algorithms and subspace-based algorithms, the proposed algorithm effectively solves the positioning problem in underdetermined condition with the same physical element number.

항재밍 GPS 시스템을 위한 선형 어레이 안테나 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of Linear Array Antenna for Anti-jamming GPS Systems)

  • 본 논문에서는 항재밍 GPS(Global Positioning System) 시스템을 위한 선형 어레이 안테나(linear array antenna) 시뮬레이터(simulator)를 설계하고 시뮬레이션을 통해 다양한 성능 평가를 수행하였다. 먼저 GPS 위성의 신호 구조 분석을 통해 모의 송신신호를 발생시키고, 선형 어레이 안테나 고려시 잡음 환경하에서의 어레이 수에 따른 SNR(Signal to Noise power Ratio) 성능을 분석하였다. 또한 MMSE(Minimum Mean Square Error) 방식의 신호처리 시스템을 통해 재머(jammer) 수에 따른 항재밍 빔패턴(beam pattern) 성능을 분석하였으며, 안테나 칼리브레이션(calibration) 문제를 고려하여 어레이간 지연이 존재하는 경우에서의 항재밍 성능을 분석하였다.

  • 본 연구는 고진공 환경중 초음파 리니어 스테이지의 나노미터 위치제어를 기술하고 있다. 고진공 환경 중 초정밀 위치 제어 시스템에 응용하기 위해 3 차 종진동 모드와 6 차 횡진동 모드를 가지는 BLT를 개발 했다. 안정적인 고출력을 위해 BLT 는 하나의 공진 주파수로 두 개의 모드 진동을 발생 시켜야 한다. 하나의 공진 주파수를 이용 하기 위해 어드미턴스를 변화시켜 각 모드의 공진 주파수를 일치시켜 조건이 다른 대기 환경에서 안정적인 고출력을 얻을 수 있었다. 기압 변화에 따라 구동 특성이 달라지는 시스템을 제어하기 위해 마찰력 변화에 따른 비선형 특성을 보상한 NCTF 제어를 사용했다. 설계된 제어기를 이용해 고진공 환경에서 시스템을 나노미터 정도로 제어하는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

Position Control of Magnetic Levitation Transfer System by Pitch Angle

  • Magnetic levitation transfer systems are useful for transfer tools in clean rooms and positioning control systems with high precision because of frictionless characteristics. In this paper, the new method is proposed which is a sensorless position. At first, the magnetic levitation is performed by state feedback control with a disturbance observer for each of six axes of the movement of a levitated vehicle. The position of the vehicle is then estimated as the disturbance term of a disturbance observer for a pitch angle which is one of the control axes for the magnetic levitation. In addition, the positioning force is generated by the pitch angle control which gives a tilt to the levitated vehicle so that it generates the horizontal component of force.

  • Fundamental positioning characteristics of a dual-axis Sawyer linear motor are described. The Sawyer motor is capable of high positional accuracy. An electronic control unit of the motor whose velocity is proportional to the frequency of the electric current was produced in our laboratory. The positioning system was constructed using two Sawyer motors, an air bearings suspension unit and an electronic control unit. The stable motion of the motor was confirmed on the open loop operation. The adjustable operating conditions were the live load of 1 kg, the maximum acceleration of 1.2G and the maximum velocity of 350 mm/s. Absolute positioning accuracy was improved within .+-.5.mu.m, on microstep operating conditions of dividing one pitch of 508.mu.m into 508 steps. The following two conclusions were obtained. An accelerating-cruising-decelerating control is effective for reduction in the travel time required. Also, microstep operation is effective for improving the resolution of position.

듀얼스테이지를 이용한 고정밀도의 하이브리드 밀링머신 (High Precision Hybrid Milling Machine Using Dual-Stage)

  • High precision machining technology has become one of the important parts in the development of a precision machine. Such a machine requires high speed on a large workspace as well as high precision positioning. For machining systems having a long stroke with ultra precision, a dual-stage system including a global stage (coarse stage) and a micro stage (fine stage) is designed in this paper. Though linear motors have a long stroke and high precision feed drivers, they have some limitations for submicron positioning. Piezo-actuators with high precision also have severe disadvantage for the travel range, and the stroke is limited to a few microns. In the milling experiments, the positional accuracy has been readily achieved within 0.2 micron over the typical 20 mm stroke, and the path error over 2 micron was reduced within 0.2 micron. Therefore, this technique can be applied to develop high precision positioning and machining in the micro manufacturing and machining system.

  • 본 연구는 RTK-GPS (Real Time Kinematic-Global Positioning System) 측위법을 이용한 변위 계측 결과, 가속도계를 이용한 변위계측 결과, 그리고 LVDT(Linear variable differential transformer)의 변위계측 결과를 비교하여 RTK-GPS와 가속도계 센서를 구조물에 적용할 때의 문제점들을 파악하였다. 또한, 관측빈도와 측위 정확도를 향상시킨 RTK-GPS와 가속도계를 이용한 변위계측 결과를 통합 계산하여 절대변위인 LVDT와 비교를 통해 생성된 통합 변위의 정확도와 타당성을 확인하였다.

H2/H 설계사양을 만족하는 선박운동제어계 설계에 관한 연구 (Control System Design for Marine Vessel Satisfying Mixed H2/H Performance Condition)

  • In this paper, the authors propose a new approach to control problem of the marine vessels which are moored or controlled by actuators. The vessel control problem in the specified area is called a DPS (Dynamic Positioning System). The main objective of this paper is to obtain more useful control design method for DPS. In this problem, a complicate fact is control allocation which is a numerical method for distributing the control signal to the controlled system. For this, many results have been given and verified by other researchers using two individual processes. It means that the controller design and control allocation design process are carried out individually. In this paper, the authors give more sophisticated design solution on this issue. In which the controller design and control allocation problem are unified by a robust controller design problem. In other word, the stability of the closed-loop system, control performance and allocation problem are unified by an LMI (Linear Matrix Inequality) constraint based on $H_2/H_{\infty}$ mixed design framework. The usefulness of proposed approach is verified by simulation with a supply vessel model and found works well.
