축류터빈의 관통유동해석 - 다유선해석과 평균반경해석의 비교분석 - (Throughflow Analysis of Axial Flow Turbines - Comparison of Multi-streamline and Mean Line Methods -)

  • A throughflow analysis program for axial flow turbines is constructed, which can handle not only the two-dimensional multi-streamline (streamline curvature) method but also the one-dimensional mean line method. Calculations are performed for single stage and multi-stage axial flowturbines. For a wide operating range, the performance and flow field calculated by the present streamline curvature method are close enough to the test data. It is also revealed for the single stage turbine that the present analysis leads to far better correspondence with the experiment than other researchers" throughflow analyses. A special focus is put on the comparison of the results between the streamline curvature analysis and the mean line analysis. It is found that the mean line analysis can not predict the performance for highly off-designed conditions as accurately as the streamline curvature method, which shows the importance of considering the spanwise variation of loss and flow.

  • Not all line or point features capable of being extracted by sonar sensors from cluttered home environments are useful for simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) due to their ambiguity because it is difficult to determine the correspondence of line or point features with previously registered feature. Confused line and point features in cluttered environments leads to poor SLAM performance. We introduce a sonar feature structure suitable for a cluttered environment and the extended Kalman filter (EKF)-based SLAM scheme. The reliable line feature is expressed by its end points and engaged togather in EKF SLAM to overcome the geometric limits and maintain the map consistency. Experimental results demonstrate the validity and robustness of the proposed method.

온라인 게임 캐릭터 복식 색채와 패션 트렌드 색채의 비교 분석 (Comparative Analysis of On-Line Game Characters' Costumes and Fashion Trend Color)

  • The purpose of this study is to come up with ways that cooperate between on-line game design and fashion design by analyzing trend color and on-line game character's costume color in on-line game. As for the research methodology, First, on-line games were selected with reference to www.ranky.com. Second, 2009 SS trend color palettes suggested by Copenhagen International Fashion Fair was used as a criterion of fashion trend. Third, on-line game character's costume colors were analyzed in relation to the degree of reflection of trend and the game character's type. The results are as follows. Each on-line game character costume's colors were made in accordance with typical character types. But we can find a one-to-one correspondence between fashion trend colors and game character costume's colors. That's because both trends and character types are the results of the continuing interactions between human-beings and societies. In comparison with fashion trend colors, game character costume colors are partly raw and inharmonious. Therefore, it is necessary to apply fashion trend color in game character costume design for enhancing competitiveness in the world market.

한 장의 영상으로부터 선분의 중점 정보를 이용한 3차원 모델의 재구성 (Reconstruction of a 3D Model using the Midpoints of Line Segments in a Single Image)

  • 본 논문에서는 모델 기반으로 한 장의 사진으로부터 중점 정보를 포함한 선분을 이용하여 물체를 3차원 재구성하는 방법을 제안한다. 미리 정의된 다면체를 원시기하모델로 사용하며 한 장의 영상으로부터 복원을 시도하였다. 미리 정의된 다면체 모델을 원시기하모델로 사용하며 사용자가 원시기하모델(primitive)의 각 대응점(correspondence point)을 사진에 매핑 시키는 것으로서 3차원 재구성이 수행된다. 기존의 모델기반 3차원 재구성은 카메라 파라미터들을 복원하거나 반복(iteration)을 통한 오차최소화 기법을 사용하였다. 하지만 본 논문은 원시기하모델에 포함되어 있는 선분들과 그 선분들의 중점 정보로부터 선분을 3차원 복원하며 복원된 선분들로부터 원시기하모델을 재구성하는 방법을 제안한다. 이러한 방법은 선분을 복원하는 단계에서 요구되는 최소한의 카메라 파라미터(focal length) 만으로 원시기하모델을 재구성 할 수 있다.

선 대응 기법을 이용한 카메라 교정파라미터 추정 (Estimation of Camera Calibration Parameters using Line Corresponding Method)

  • Computer vision system is broadly adapted like as autonomous vehicle system, product line inspection, etc., because it has merits which can deal with environment flexibly. However, for applying it for that industry, it has to clear the problem that recognize position parameter of itself. So that computer vision system stands in need of camera calibration to solve that. Camera calibration consists of the intrinsic parameter which describe electrical and optical characteristics and the extrinsic parameter which express the pose and the position of camera. And these parameters have to be reorganized as the environment changes. In traditional methods, however, camera calibration was achieved at off-line condition so that estimation of parameters is in need again. In this paper, we propose a method to the calibration of camera using line correspondence in image sequence varied environment. This method complements the corresponding errors of the point corresponding method statistically by the extraction of line. The line corresponding method is strong by varying environment. Experimental results show that the error of parameter estimated is within 1% and those is effective.

이동형 로보트 주행을 위한 장애물 검출에 관한 연구 (A Study on Obstacle Detection for Mobile Robot Navigation)

  • The safe navigation of a mobile robot requires the recognition of the environment in terms of vision processing. To be guided in the given path, the robot should acquire the information about where the wall and corridor are located. Also unexpected obstacles should be detected as rapid as possible for the safe obstacle avoidance. In the paper, we assume that the mobile robot should be navigated in the flat surface. In terms of this assumption we simplify the correspondence problem by the free navigation surface and matching features in that coordinate system. Basically, the vision processing system adopts line segment of edge as the feature. The extracted line segments of edge out of both image are matched in the free nevigation surface. According to the matching result, each line segment is labeled by the attributes regarding obstacle and free surface and the 3D shape of obstacle is interpreted. This proposed vision processing method is verified in terms of various simulations and experimentation using real images.

헬기에 의한 산불공중간접진화 방법에 관한 연구 (Study of Indirect Attack Method of Aerial Fire Firefighting by Helicopter on Forest Fire)

  • Among the method of aerial fire firefighting, the indirect attack is efficiency way to protect main facilities and it is the aerial fire line construction. According to this study is suggested the fire line construction strategy of indirect attack by helicopter suitable Korea forest fire on theory consideration of indirect attack and experience in practical scene. This study defined that main key points of the fire line construction are accuracy, large quantity, and quickness. Main protection facilities are devided as caution area, warning area, danger area and concern area. Also, it suggested stage-by-stsge from 1 step to 3 step for the aerial fire firefighting correspondence strategy and the fire line construction model. I regard that this study's indirect attack method of the aerial fire firefighting of the fire line construction may be understand about indirect attack tactics and application of indirect attack which is assistance to raise of capability of the aerial fire firefighting with effectiveness and efficiency.

  • This paper presents a simple algorithm to obtain three dimensional information of an object. In the preprocessing of the stereo matching,feature point informations of stero image must be less sensitive to noise and well liked the correspondance problem. This paper described a simple technique of struture feature extraction of 3-D object and used edge-end point expanding method for unconnected line instade of Hough transform. The feature such as corner point and their angles are used for matching problem. The experimental results show that the described algorithm is a useful method for stereo correspondence problem.

  • Frequency responses of the surface acoustic wave(SAW) filters are simulated by using the impulse modeling. The simulation technique of the SAW filters is to use the Fourier transformation to make a correspondence between the impulse response of the filter and the taps in the delay line. Since the Fourier series must be truncated after a finite number of terms, window functions are often used to weight the coefficients to obtain the desirable side-lobe level and bandwidth. The filter design is operated through the iterative simulation procedures. The design process is capable of yielding filters with optimized frequency response characteristics.

  • From the relationship between the two different views of an object with grid, the three dimensional coordinates of intersection points are determined. The images are captured and digitized with a CCD camera and a frame grabber. To find intersection points, local thresholding and line thinning operations are performed. By establishing the correspondence between the points in the two views, the three dimensional corrdinates of intersection points are calculated.
