  • This paper examines the temperature characteristics of an Optical CT (optical current transformer) using the Faraday effect for measuring high current in a super high voltage-power apparatus. It is performed as follows by the sensor for embodying Faraday effect. $\cdot$ A single-mode optical fiber capable of maintaining a polarization state is used. $\cdot$ A light source is applied at 1310[nm] to a Laser Diode. $\cdot$ The Linear of Faraday effect to a large current is evaluated and $\cdot$ A possible application using an Optical CT was shown. An Influence of Faraday effect to the surrounding temperature measured -40~50[$^{\circ}C$], and the characteristic of the current sensitivity was reported. An application using the results of the temperature compensation system was used in order to compensate for surrounding temperatures. A possibility of applying Optical CT for electric power apparatus was advanced further. We were able to confirm that this temperature calibration method can minimize the fluctuation of the output signal depending on the temperature conditions.

  • In this paper, a high frequency flyback type zero voltage soft switching PWM DC-DC converter using IGBTs is proposed. Effective applications for this power converter can be found in auxiliary power supplies of rolling stock transportation and electric vehicles. This power converter is basically composed of active power switches and a flyback high frequency transformer. In addition to these, passive lossless snubbers with power regeneration loops for energy recovery, consisting of a three winding auxiliary high frequency transformer, auxiliary capacitors and diodes are introduced to achieve zero voltage soft switching from light to full load conditions. Furthermore, this power converter has some advantages such as low cost circuit configuration, simple control scheme and high efficiency. Its operating principle is described and to determine circuit parameters, some practical design considerations are discussed. The effectiveness of the proposed power converter is evaluated and compared with the hard switching PWM DC-DC converter from an experimental point of view and the comparative electromagnetic conduction and radiation noise characteristics of both DC-DC power converter circuits are also depicted.

  • For the early identification and treatment of colorectal cancer, accurate polyp segmentation is crucial. However, polyp segmentation is a challenging task, and the majority of current approaches struggle with two issues. First, the position, size, and shape of each individual polyp varies greatly (intra-class inconsistency). Second, there is a significant degree of similarity between polyps and their surroundings under certain circumstances, such as motion blur and light reflection (inter-class indistinction). U-net, which is composed of convolutional neural networks as encoder and decoder, is considered as a standard for tackling this task. We propose an updated U-net architecture replacing the encoder part with vision transformer network for polyp segmentation. The proposed architecture performed better than the standard U-net architecture for the task of polyp segmentation.

  • In order to solve the problem of system efficiency reduced on account of two stage power conversion, we propose a series resonant full bridge Inverter circuit for battery-fed microwave oven. This circuit has both a compact size and a light weight comparing with the conventional HVT(High Voltage Transformer) method. Also, it may be adjusted power levels of the microwave oven by a frequency control. In this paper, operational principles are explained in detail in order to understand the circuit operation. Also, a proto-type Inverter circuit with 1[kW] Power consumption is built and tested for verifying the operation.

  • In the distribution networks, it is necessary to develop small and light voltage and current sensor for compact and digitalized switchgears. For this purpose, some researches have been continuing till now, CT(current transformer) and VT(voltage transformer) are one of that research. But conventional CT and VT have some problems, that is, have big size and saturation characteristics because of used to iron core. In this paper, CS(current sensor) and VS(voltage sensor), have some merits measuring of current and voltage magnitude as a alternated conventional equipment, were studied. So, this paper shows the process CS and VS design method, equivalent circuit and output result, respectively. As a result of this test, proposed CS and VS have linearity for the output, no saturation.

  • In this paper, a optical current transformer has been designed and favricated to improve temperature stability caused materials properties and insulation in measuring system, suing single crystal as faraday effect cells. We used 850[nm] Laser diode as the light source and PIN Photodiode as receiver. For the experiment, the temperature transformation device make by aluminum. The range of current was from 0[A]$\sim$1600[A] and the range of temperature was from -20[$^{\circ}C$] to 50[$^{\circ}C$]. In a same experimental condition magnitude increased input current increase follow by increasing proportion of input current. The result of this study shows that characteristics of OCT are good, and it can be reflected for practical optical sensors.

  • The optical current transformer using Faraday effect is the sensor to measure current that flows in any conductor. This sensor doesn't undergo the magnetic saturation and effect of adjacent conductors. But this senor using bulk-glass sensing clement has crucial drawback. It is impossible that the sensor is mounted to conductor without breaking the closed-loop of light or conductor. So we developed the clamp-type optical current transformer and made an experiment.

  • This paper presents a Zero-Current Switching(ZCS) two-transformer phase-shift full-bridge(TTFB) converter using voltage ripple. The proposed converter provides Zero-Voltage Switching(2VS) of leading leg switches and ZCS of lagging leg switches using volt-age ripple. Especially, circulating current Is reduced by ZCS operation and there are no additional components required for the soft switching of power switches. Furthermore, in case of light load, ZVS operation of lagging leg can be achieved. The operations, analysis and design consideration of proposed converter are presented. To verify the validity of the proposed converter, experimental results for a flow (205V, 2A) prototype are presented.

  • A new asymmetrical pulse width modulation (PWM) half bridge converter with improved ZVS performance is proposed. The ZVS operation of the proposed converter can be maintained from no load to full load conditions since the magnetizing current of the transformer contributes to the ZVS operation at light loads without considerable conduction loss of the transformer and switch. Synchronous rectification is employed to reduce the rectification loss. Operational principles, large signal modeling, ZVS analysis and design equations are presented. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed converter can achieve a large ZVS range and significant improvement in efficiency for a 100W (5V, 20A) prototype converter.

  • This paper presents a novel non-resonant PWM DC-DC converter for X-ray high-voltage power generator using the parasitic impedances of the high-voltage high-frequency link transformer with its output high-voltage control scheme and steady-state characteristics compared to the conventional series-parallel resonant DC-DC converter. The key point of this approach is to evaluate effectiveness of reduction of the turn ratio of the high-voltage high-frequency transformer on improvements in power conversion efficiency and the power factor applying a boost AC-DC converter as DC voltage source, especially in the long exposure term and light output load ranges.
