고무차륜 AGT 경량전철용 제3궤조 집전장치 특성해석 (Characteristics of 3rd Rail Type Power Collector for the Rubber-Tired AGT Light Rail Vehicle)

  • This study was aimed to establish the acceptable contact force range between power collector and 3rd rail type conductor rail, and ramp slope for the Korean standardized rubber-tired AGT light rail vehicle. Dynamic behavior of the power collector, contact force variation and interruption in operation, were analyzed in the worst installation tolerance and various ramp slope of the conductor rail. The power collector was designed and manufactured to satisfy the Korean Standardized Specifications of the rubber-tired AGT light rail vehicle.

관절형 경량전철의 현가특성 최적설계 (Optimum Design of Suspension Characteristics for Light Rail Vehicle)

  • The dynamic design process for the articulated bogie of light rail vehicle(LRV) was studied to design a primary and secondary suspension elements. Suspension stiffness and damping is selected on the basis of the ride quality and suspension stroke trade-off. LRV was modeled as a 2 d.o.f linear system for the design of vertical suspension characteristics and a 4 d.o.f linear system for the design of lateral suspension characteristics. FRA's class-4-track irregularity was used for the exciting disturbance on track. The optimum value of primary and secondary suspension characteristics was determined using this design process.

  • Dynamic model of the rubber-tired AGT light rail vehicle. various load and boundary conditions between vehicle and infrastructures(running track. guidance rail) were defined to analyze vehicular dynamic behaviors occurred by inclement weather(strong wind and earthquake). The dynamic analysis were performed by using a commercialized software RecurDyn. whose results for the magnitudes of wind and earthquake showed the resultant forces and accelerations between car body and bogie, or bogie guidance frame and infrastructures in the various track conditions(straight or curved tracks) and train velocities. Based on these results, speed limitation of tile vehicle were proposed to ensure system stability and passengers safety.

  • Based on the design requirements for the rubber-tired AGT light rail vehicle. the braking system was designed. Its major components are a brake operating unit, a pneumatic-hydraulic transfer, screw compressor, oil separator. air dryer, hydraulic caliper. After the components of braking system were manufactured. some factory tests were executed to evaluate their performances. The Results of these tests can guarantee a performance. safety of the braking system developed.

And the stability of full vehicle model for the LRV is analyzed using the VAMPIRE program and critical speed is determined.

  • In the future light rail vehicle is more attractive than subway, because of construction time and cost. For light rail vehicle are two types of traction motors. one is traditional rotating type and the other is linear motor. Linear motor is not better in consideration of efficiency and power factor than rotating type. But the motor needs no translation equipment for linear motion and with them can be constructed low floor vehicle. In this paper will be designed a linear induction motor with consideration of operational condition and analysed operating characteristics using FEM program and equivalent circuit.

  • Hyundai-Rotem Company has designed and manufactured Light Railway Vehicle (LRV) according to the Urban Rail Transit Code, which applies to urban railway vehicles in Korea. The Urban Rail Transit Code specifies the loads, for which vehicle bodies shall be capable of withstanding, identifies how material data shall be used and presents the principles to be used for design verification by analysis and test. The structural design of railway vehicle bodies depends on the loads they are subjected to and the characteristics of the materials they are manufactured from. Therefore Hyundai-Rotem Company has carried out Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and has performed load tests on the vehicle body according to the Urban Rail Transit Code. This research contains the results obtained by the analysis and the load tests. The analysis was carried out using I-DEAS Master Series 12 and load test were carried out using specially designed test jigs and equipment are used for the load tests.
