The purpose of this study was to research the college students' life styles, housing satisfaction and future-housing environment preferences according to demographic variables. So the eventual purpose is to offer basic data of future-housing development. This study has a subject of 512 college students living in Jeonbuk province. In this statistical analysis, SPSS 11.5 for Windows program. The results of this research were as follows; The college students' life style showed higher in the self-confidence-directed and the home-directed types. And the college students' housing satisfaction showed higher in housing equipments. The life style and housing satisfaction were significant difference according to major, their parents' academic career, fathers' occupation, average incomes, type of house. The college students' future-housing preference showed higher in housing equipments and environment. And the significant difference according to gender, school year, major, mothers' occupation, and type of house in the college students' future-housing environment preference. College students' life style, housing satisfaction, and future-housing environment preference have a significant correlation one another. Housing satisfaction variables had positive correlations with life style and future-housing environment preference. Partially, negative correlation was showed between life style and future-housing environment preference. As a conclusion, college students' life style and housing satisfaction constituted important characteristics which could affect future-housing environment preference directly. These results should be provide fundamental information for the new generation's future-housing development.
The purpose of this study was to classify the communication styles of the husbands and wives in Korea. The instrument of this study was questionnaire which was made through the three times' pre-research by the researcher. In the pre-research, husbands and wives were asked what were the communication styles in their daily life. Among the gathered data 55 items were chosen by the frequency of the communication styles. The subjects were 240 husbands and 264 wives who lives in Seoul. In this study the following questions were examined. 1) What are the communication styles of the husbands? 2) What are the communication styles of the wives? The data were analyzed by the method described below with SAS and SPSS computer programs. 1) To find out general character of the subjects, frequency distribution and frequency percentage should be computed. 2) To analyze items of the scale, mean standard deviation, and relative frequency distribution of the respective items should be computed. 3) To extract factor of the respective group, the procedure of factor analysis should be applied. 4) To verify the reliability of the respective factor, Cronakch's α should be computed. 5) To notice the differences in background variables, the analysis variance should be computed. The conclusions derived from the findings were as follows: 1) The communication styles of the husbands group were categorized into authoritarian style, contactful style, sincere style, speculative, speculative style, other-oriented style. 2) The communication styles of th wives group were categorized into authoritarian style. sincere style, other-oriented style, sacrifice style, speculative style.
In this study, we analyzed the dietary style of Chinese singles; in addition, the effect of convenience food consumption on the quality of life of singles was evaluated through construct model development on the relationship between the frequency of consumption and satisfaction with convenience food and quality of life. A statistical analysis of 153 surveys from Tianj was conducted using SPSS 12.0 for Windows and SEM using AMOS 5.0 statistics package. The reliability of the data was confirmed by an exploratory factor analysis and Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The measurement model was confirmed as appropriate by a confirmatory factor analysis of the measurement model in conjunction with AMOS. The results of a factor analysis were as follows. Dietary style was categorized into four factors. The level of satisfaction with convenience food was categorized into seven factors and quality of life was categorized into four factors. The reliability of these findings was supported by a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.6 and higher for all the factors. For the level of satisfaction with convenience food based on dietary style and the quality of life of singles, a structural equation model was constructed and analyzed. The results of all tests indicated that the model satisfied the recommended level of goodness of fit index and thus, the overall research model was appropriate. The current study highlights the increased interest in eating habits of singles and is necessary for further improvement in nutrition education.
The main objective of this dissertation is to find out the measurement methods of household work organization and manger style and the quantitative analysis methods of influential factors on household work organization and manager style. Subjects were homemakers living in metropolitan , medium and small cities. Questionnaires were sent to subjects and usable responses were 1139 out of 1239 received questionnaires. Data collected through both preliminary and main survey were analyzed by using frequencies, percentage, analysis of variance, chi-square test and pearson's correlation analysis. Results are as follows; 1) The degree of household work organization was distributed on upper middle level exceeding middle score. Among subsystems of household work such as task assignment , test regularization, task arrangement and task standardization. subjects show the highest positive attitude in task standardization. 2) The characteristics of management in household work have task centered orientation. By the prority of task centered orientation, the order was integrated style. dedicated style. It means that the most ideal style is an integrated style which accounts for one-third of the total homemakers. 3) Household organization's subsystems and household work manager style are related with socio-demographic variables. Integrated style is significantly related with homemaker's employment and having helpers for household work. homemakers who are employed and have helpers for household work exhibit high scores in task assignment and task arrangement. Dedicated style is significantly related with homemaker's age and the number of children. Homemakers who are older and have many children exhibit high scores in task assignment. Related style is significantly related with marriage duration, education level and income level. Homemakers who have a long marriage duration exhibit high scores in task assignment and who have high education and income level exhibit high scores in task regularization. Seperates style is significantly related with homemaker's age m marriage duration an family life cycle. homemakers who ar older, have a long marriage duration and are of late stage in family life cycle exhibit seperated style and high scores in organization. To summarize research findings, household work manger and household work organization are related with family life experiences, and task assignment is an influential variable on manager style. in conclusion, it is evident that household work organization emphasizes efficiency as cognitive component and such organization. Finally it is necessary to broaden this research considered social psychological variables. And also it needs to build household manger style models appropriate fro the characteristics of each style.
The purpose of this study is to investigate communication style & communication in the family and marital satisfaction. This study focuses on the following aspects: 1) to find out which variables of background variables(oe, sociodemographic variables & communication styles) have effect on communica-tion and marital satisfaction in the family. 2) to find out the relationships between communication in the family and marital satisfaction. 3) to find out the independent influence of background variables on marital satisfaction. In order to clarify the above problems the data were obtained from questionaires with 72 items. The selected sample is composed of 365 housewives in chong Joo city. SAS pc program was used for th statistical analysis of the data. Data was analyzed by frequency percentage mean F-test Duncan's multiple range test regression analysis path analysis pearson's correlation coefficient. Major findings are as follows: first age of couples education of couples durati n of marriage family life cycle number of children income were variables to have influence on communication in the family, And communication styles were variables to have influence on communication in the family. And communication styles were variables to have influence on marital satisfaction. Third there were positive relation between communication in the family and marital satisfaction. The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of demographic and housing life-style variables on evaluation or choice criteria to the decision making for purchasing house. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of perceived parents-adolescent communication style on adoescent’s self-efficacy. The subjexts of this study were 625 students selected at random from first and second grade of high school in Daegu. A questionnaire was used as survey method. Factor analysis, MANOVA and cluster analysis for data analysis and Scheffe test for post-hoc analysis were employed. The man findings were as follows: Firs, there were significant differences in the degree of adolescent’s self-efficacy according to perceive father-adolescent communication style. In case that adolescents perceived their father’s communication style as reasonable, the degree of self-control, self-confidence and attribution were higher than those of other cases such as non-interferential or impulsive communication style. The adolescents who perceived the father’s communication style as reasonable showed higher preference of difficult task than those who perceived it as non-interferential style. The adolescents who perceived father’s communication style as reasonable and non-interferential showed higher attribution than those who perceived it as impulsive style. Second, there were significant differences in the degree of adolescent’s self-efficacy according to perceived mother-adolescent communication style. In case that adolescents perceived their mother’s communication style as reasonable, the degree of self-control was higher than that of other cases such as non-interferential and impulsive communication style. The adolescents who perceived their mother’s communication style as reasonable showed higher self-confidence than those who perceived as impulsive style.
Purpose: The purposes of this study were to describe the pattern of type D personality, to compare the life style and quality of life between type D personality and non-type D personality patients, and to investigate the factors influencing quality of life in patients with hypertension. Methods: A cross sectional, descriptive study was used. The participants in this study were 193 outpatients who were diagnosed with hypertension at two university hospitals in urban area, Korea. The data was collected from December, 2006 to January, 2007. Type D personality was measured by the DS-14 scale. Results: The prevalence of type D personality was 83.9%. Patients of type D personality were significantly different in educational status, monthly income, fat intake and exercise, and had a lower overall quality of life than patients of non-type D personality. Under controlled general characteristics and life style factors, multiple linear regression analysis was performed. The most significant factor influencing quality of life in hypertensive patients was type D personality, and this factor explained their quality of life with a variance of 14.8%. Conclusions: Various programs for psychological intervention are required to control for the distressed personality of patients with hypertension. Further studies should be conducted prospectively on a larger patient population.
This study's purpose is to offer to basic data in each professional soccer team's spectator marketing strategy through researching the influence of spectators' life style on the appeal of professional soccer. This study's survey is target 500 spectators who were present at the professional soccer championship game in 2007 at Seongnam Stadium. Data analysis was done on 484 spectators's questionnaires using SPSS V. 12.0. To analyze materials the frequency, correlations, and regression analysis were used as statistic analysis techniques. The conclusion based on above study method and the result of material analysis are here below. First, the influence of spectator's life-style on the loyalty(action loyalty, attitude loyalty)of professional soccer. Second, the influence of spectator's life style on the appeal(field factor, game circumstance factor, spectating expense factor, promotion factor, entertainment factor, player factor)of professional soccer.
The purpose of this study was to investigate body image as attitude toward physical appearance, and appearance-management behavior, and to analyze the relationship between body image and life style which affects consumer behavior. The method of the study was survey research by using questionnaires. Subjects were 323 women in their twenties. Statistical analysis methods were frequency, percentage. factor analysis, discrimination analysis, one-way ANOVA, x 2- test, and Duncan's multiple range test. The results of the study were as follows. As for appearance-management behaviors of woman in her twenties. 60.1% of all respondents experienced in diet. 31.6% experienced in plastic operation, 47.4% experienced in skin care, 44.9% experienced in perfect make up, and 84.8% experienced in hair dyeing. The group with high appearance concern showed high body satisfaction. Life-style factors were analyzed into 5 factors. The group with low appearance concern considered active family-focus life factor importantly, the group with middle appearance concern considered social life factor, and the group with high appearance concern considered self-focus life type and conspicuous consumption life factor. A significant difference was found in body image between groups according to social level and demographic characteristics. The female group in the mid twenties who majors in arts and athletics, resides on southern part of Han river, and belongs to high society was analyzed to show high appearance concern and body satisfaction. and many experiences of appearance-management behaviors.
