The several noise level estimation algorithms that have been developed for use in image processing and computer graphics generally exhibit good performance. However, there are certain special types of noisy images that such algorithms are not suitable for. It is particularly still a challenge to use the algorithms to estimate the noise levels of complex textured photographic images because of the inhomogeneity of the original scenes. Similarly, it is difficult to apply most conventional noise level estimation algorithms to images rendered by the Monte Carlo (MC) method owing to the spatial variation of the noise in such images. This paper proposes a novel noise level estimation method based on histogram modification, and which can be used for more accurate estimation of the noise levels in both complex textured images and MC-rendered images. The proposed method has good performance, is simple to implement, and can be efficiently used in various image-based and graphic applications ranging from smartphone camera noise removal to game background rendition.

This paper is deals with the preventive replacement for the equipment which fails only when the total amount of damage reaches a prespecified failure level. Most of replacement model use time as their decision variable, but it is not appropriate for the cases in which failures dependent on their cumulative damage levels. In this paper, a new type preventive replacement model is introduced in which an equipment is replaced before failure when the cumulative damage reaches a certain level or replaced on failure, whichever occures first. The optimal replacement damage levels which minimize total expected cost are obtained by the Dynamic programming Method when the number of use of the equipment is finite. A numerical example is also presented. The optimal preventive replacement policy when the equipment will be used for a finite time span is also discussed.
This paper investigates the value of the expectation-confirmation model(ECM) of IT continuance in the internet shopping environments and attempts to expand the ECM with consideration of users diverse internet shopping factors and their preferences. Here, the extended ECM measures the users expectation-confirmation separately at the product, site and service levels, rather than treating it a single construct as measured in the original model. Further, AHP has been used for assessing the relative importance among the shopping factors, and the priority has been used for deriving weighted expectation-confirmation levels in the model. PLS analysis shows that there are significant differences in path coefficients between the ECM and a weighted ECM. This Indicates that users preferences among the diverse shopping factors need to be properly assessed to better understand the relationship between users expectation-confirmation and their continued usage behavior.

Dietary protein is the most expensive component in flounder feed because of the high protein requirement of this species. The non-protein energy sources may also influence the protein utilization of fish. The inclusion of adequate levels of non-protein energy sources in diets can minimize use of protein as an energy source. Protein sparing effect by fat and carbohydrate has been studied in other fish. The purpose of this study was to investigate the use behavior and satisfaction of home-baking premix products. A total of 275 questionnaires were completed and statistically analyzed by the SPSS 14.0 package. The reasons for home-baking were : fun(33.8%), quality time with the family(33.8%), and distrust in foodstuffs(13.5%). The respondents(38.9%) used home-baking premix products 2~3 times per year. And the respondents purchased home-baking premix products primarily for snack foods(83.3%). Among the selection attributes of home-baking premix products, the respondents considered the importance of 'sanitation'(m=4.16) a top priority, followed by 'taste'(m=4.15), 'ease of use'(m=4.12), 'detailed instructions' (m=4.05), 'quality of raw materials'(m=4.04), and 'origin'(m=3.91). However, in the case of satisfaction, 'ease of use' (m=3.81) was the most satisfying aspect, followed by 'detailed instructions'(m=3.67), 'sanitation'(m=3.56) and 'manufacturer' (m=3.48). According to importance-performance analysis(IPA), 'quality of raw materials' and 'origin', which were selection attributes, should be quickly improved. Also, 'taste', 'ease of use', 'detailed instructions' and 'sanitation' should be maintained. This survey found that the satisfaction levels for home-baking premix product selection attributes had a significant influence on overall satisfaction($F$=7.91, $p$ <0.001). In particular taste(${\beta}$=0.32, $t$=3.53, $p$ <0.001) had a meaningful effect on overall satisfaction. In addition, the satisfaction levels for home-baking premix product selection attributes affected repurchase intention($F$=8.61, $p$ <0.001).
Objectives: Thiamine is thought to modify sleeping patterns, while alcohol use diminishes internal thiamine levels. We investigated the association between thiamine intake and sleep duration and explored possible heterogeneity in the effect according to alcohol use. Methods: In total, 15 384 participants aged 19-64 were obtained from the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2012-2016. Nutrient intake, including thiamine, was measured using a food frequency questionnaire. Sleep duration was measured by a self-reported questionnaire. The highest thiamine intake quartile was set as the reference group. Participants were divided into 3 groups, with 7-8 hours of daily sleep as a reference group and those who slept more or less than that as "oversleeping" and "insufficient sleeping," respectively. Multivariate logistic regression was used, adjusting for socioeconomic, medical, and nutritional factors. Additionally, participants were stratified according to high-risk alcohol use defined by the World Health Organization standards on alcohol use. Results: Low thiamine intake was associated with oversleeping (Q3: odds ratio [OR], 1.06; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.86 to 1.32; Q2: OR, 1.24; 95% CI, 0.99 to 1.55; Q1: OR, 1.49; 95% CI, 1.16 to 1.91) and showed a significant trend for higher ORs at lower intake levels (p-trend<0.001). The effect was stronger in the high-risk alcohol use group (Q1: OR, 1.78; 95% CI, 1.28 to 2.49). Conclusions: Low thiamine intake was associated with oversleeping, and alcohol use intensified that association. These results were found in a context where overt clinical symptoms due to thiamine deficiency are considered rare. More awareness of the potential relationship of thiamine intake with oversleeping and its related risks should be considered.
Objectives: The aim of this study was to examine the levels of serum 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD) and evaluate their association with age, body mass index, smoking, military record-based variables, and estimated exposure to Agent Orange in Korean Vietnam veterans. Methods: Serum levels of TCDD were analyzed in 102 Vietnam veterans. Information on age, body mass index, and smoking status were obtained from a self-reported questionnaire. The perceived exposure was assessed by a 6-item questionnaire. Two proximitybased exposures were constructed by division/brigade level and battalion/company level unit information using the Stellman exposure opportunity index model. Results: The mean and median of serum TCDD levels was 1.2 parts per trillion (ppt) and 0.9 ppt, respectively. Only 2 Vietnam veterans had elevated levels of TCDD (>10 ppt). The levels of TCDD did not tend to increase with the likelihood of exposure to Agent Orange, as estimated from either proximity-based exposure or perceived self-reported exposure. The serum TCDD levels were not significantly different according to military unit, year of first deployment, duration of deployment, military rank, age, body mass index, and smoking status. Conclusions: The average serum TCDD levels in the Korean Vietnam veterans were lower than those reported for other occupationally or environmentally exposed groups and US Vietnam veterans, and their use as an objective marker of Agent Orange exposure may have some limitations. The unit of deployment, duration of deployment, year of first deployment, military rank, perceived self-reported exposure, and proximity-based exposure to Agent Orange were not associated with TCDD levels in Korean Vietnam veterans. Age, body mass index and smoking also were not associated with TCDD levels.

Experimental research was carried out to investigate the confinement effect of concrete specimens confined by interlocking spirals subjected to the concentric axial compressive load. Main variables are the compressive strength of concrete with 2 levels(normal and high strength), the spacing of the spiral reinforcement, the yield strength of the spiral reinforcement with 2 levels and 4 different interlocking lengths. For the same volumetric ratio, the use of interlocking spirals is not as effective as the single spirals, provided that the spirals have the same diameter.
We use Borcherds products to give a new construction of the weight 3 paramodular nonlift eigenform fN for levels N = 61, 73, 79. We classify the congruences of fN to Gritsenko lifts. We provide techniques that compute eigenvalues to support future modularity applications. Our method does not compute Hecke eigenvalues from Fourier coefficients but instead uses elliptic modular forms, specifically the restrictions of Gritsenko lifts and their images under the slash operator to modular curves.
