  • This study is to analyze essays on the practices of consumption happiness which the students who took the class 'consumption and happiness' wrote. To do this, 108 essays which the students submitted in both semesters in 2013 were analyzed qualitatively. As a result, the 4 themes such as 'reflection on the life of consumption', 'practices', 'changes', 'recognized meanings of the class' were extracted. Firstly, some students were reflective on their acts of consumption in everyday life. They have consumed in an undisciplined, unthoughtful manner and have experienced various negative emotions in their consumption, and have the motive of change. Secondly, the study showed the consumption of clothes, eating, house, leisure, body, digital, wedding is variously included in their practices of consumption. In the category of common practices, 'sharing consumption giving a bigger happiness', 'sustainable consumption caring about the earth and the next generation', 'smart consumption through discipline', 'responsible consumption considering community and producer', 'field trips and consumption of experience as learning' are included, and 'meaningful feeling of happiness through practices' are extracted. Thirdly, they have experienced positive changes such as reduction in consumption desire and increased concern with mind, relationship and conscious consumption. Fourthly, students think of the class as a necessary, useful, practical subject, and have a precious opportunity to learn many aspects they don't think about before, and don't practice, and say that they persistently continue to practice. Therefore, to promote the happiness as a consumer and consumer citizen leader in the society, it's necessary to offer a related class in more universities.

Subjects for this study were 245 nurses working at University K hospital in Seoul, Korea. Data for this study was collected from 15 to 27 April, 2002. The data collection instruments used for this study are as follows: Maslach Burnout Inventory(1981), Orientation to Life Questionnaire(Sense of Coherence, SOC) by Antonovsky (1987) and Modified Coping Resources Inventory developed by author. The analysis of the data was completed using the descriptive, ANOVA, Pearson correlation analysis, and stepwise multiple regression using the SAS program software. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Total mean score of burnout was 4.0. Mean scores of the subscales were; emotional exhausion 4.7, personalization 3.7, and personal accomplishment 3.4.2. Significant statistical differences according to demographic characteristics of the subjects were found in the variables of age, job position, years of working, perceived job stress, and burnout. 3. Burnout was negatively related to sense of coherence(r=-.65) and coping resources (r=-.40); subscales of SOC of comprehensibility(r=-.57), manageability (r= -.55), and meaningfulness(r= -.52); subscales of coping of self-care(r=-.36), and cognitive coping(r=-.39). 4. Job stress was the highest factor influence burnout. Sixty-one percent of the total variance of burnout was experienced by variables of comprehensibility, meaningfulness, age, self-care, manageability and leisure activities including job stress. In conclusion, it was found that a low level of burnout was related to high scores of SOC and coping resources. Job stress, manageability, and meaningfulness were the highest factors influencing the level of subscale of emotional exhausion, depersonalization, and personal accomplishment. Therefore, it is necessary to search for strategies to promote SOC and coping resources for reducing the level of burnout of nurses.

  • This landscape design proposal was presented for a competition for mixed-use development project by project financing in Asan Baebang which was held by the Korea National Housing Corporation in July of 2005. The site is a center of Asan Baebang New Town Development District and has a commercial area of $57,929m^{2}$. Design guidelines and judging criteria of this competition were to build a symbolic center and cultural core for district, to elevate positive image and identity of Asan New Town by attractive place making, to link with separated block in the site and regional context, and to make environmentally sustainable design by creating an attractive waterfront of Jang Jae stream passing through the site. This is the most important condition for the design. Therefore, the authors developed design concept and strategy within the guidelines and this conditions. The schema of the design was introduced by the water in the site. To evolve design concept, we reinterpreted water and context in the site combining with landscape design strategy. So the proposal set the main design concept as 'all that is solid melt into water' as if Marshall Berman said. By doing that, design concept of the proposal evolved as follows: 'extension' of water and greer, 'a joint' of space,'newness' of experience, 'breath' of consensus with each other. The spatial concept of this project was developed by expressing five theme spaces; eco zone, entertainment zone, art zone, culture zone, leisure zone. These theme spaces were consecutively placed along the pedestrian path and to consists of vertical layer in each level and diverse design technique and spatial effects are used.

  • Purpose The main purpose of this study is to examine whether the expectations and outcomes of the bicycle-sharing service significantly influence users' expectation disconfirmation, satisfaction, and continuous intention to use. In addition, we will verify the moderating effect of social interaction in bicycle-sharing service on the relationship between satisfaction and continuous intention to use. Design/methodology/approach Based on previous studies dealing with determinants of bicycle use, users' expectations and outcomes of the bicycle-sharing service were measured by three variables; accessibility, convenience, and safety. To collect the data, we conducted a survey of undergraduates at a university located in Seoul for three weeks, beginning March 6. Participants completed the first questionnaire, which measured expectations of the bicycle-sharing service based on the attributes and social interaction before using the BSS. After a few weeks, the same participants completed the second questionnaire, which measured outcomes of the outcome, disconfirmation, satisfaction, and continuous intention to use the BSS. Only participants who completed both surveys received monetary compensation. In order to test hypothesis, the Smart Partial Least Square (SmartPLS) modeling technique was applied. Findings In terms of main effects, based on the expectation disconfirmation theory, the results indicated that there were significant relationship among expectation, performance, disconfirmation, and satisfaction. In particular, it was verified that disconfirmation completely plays a mediating role between performance and satisfaction. In addition, the moderating effect of social interaction was examined. There was a significant interaction effects of social interaction and satisfaction on the continuous intention to use for leisure purpose. Finally, this study is expected to contribute to the study of resource sharing in the field of tourism and provide baseline information for future research.
