Typically, condensate forms as droplets on the fin surfaces and may bridge the space between the fin surfaces. This is due to the dry characteristics inherent to the fin surface. The droplets increase the air-side pressure drop. In the case of high air velocities, these droplets may be blown off the fins and entrained in the air stream. To minimize the formation of condensate droplet, the wet ability of the fins must be improved. The carry-over velocity is affected by fin surface characteristics. To avoid carry-over in the air conditioner having the highest air velocity of 1.5 m/sec, the dynamic contact angle (DCA) should be at least lowly under $60^{\circ}$.

Model Based Compensator(MBC) is recently used for the analysis of multi-variable control in frequency domain. Target loop is designed by the demanding requirements such as cross-over frequency, disturbance rejection in low frequency domain, zero steady-state error, identification of maximum and minimum singular values and sensor noise rejection in high frequency domain. Loop transfer recovery will be continued in frequency domain until the plant with MBC comes close to the target loop. In this study, the technique using MBC is applied to the elevator vibration control system. It is found that this technique is very effective to control the vibration system.

본 연구는 일산대교의 교각이 한강 하류부의 지형변화에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위한 준비단계로서, 이차원 흐름모형을 사용하여 일산대교 교각에 의한 흐름변화를 분석하였다. 일산대교 교각의 영향을 검토하기 위해 일산대교 상류 쪽 1.2 km부터 하류 쪽 1.7 km까지 약 2.9 km 구간을 대상으로 RMA-2 모형을 사용하여 흐름을 예측하였다. 이 구간의 하상고는 EL. -5.01 m ~ EL. 2.20 m이다. 일산대교의 교각이 있을 경우에 대한 절점 개수가 7,083개, 유한요소의 개수는 2,799 개이며, 교각이 없을 경우에 대해서는 절점 개수가 7,121개, 유한요소의 개수는 2,856개이다. 일산 대교에 의한 영향 검토 결과, 교각으로부터 상하류로 200 m 정도 떨어진 영역에서는 유속 벡터의 경향에서 차이가 거의 없는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 일산대교 근처에서는 교각의 방향에 따라 흐름 방향이 유도되고 직상류에서 흐름의 방향이 급격히 변하는 현상이 나타났다. 반면, 일산대교 하류에서는 교각의 영향을 거의 받지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

In this paper, a new planar transformer with a novel core configuration that can regulate the leakage inductance is proposed and described in detail. In order to design the slim size power system for flat panel TV, Two planar transformers applied to LLC resonant converter are connected in series at primary and in parallel by the center-tap winding at secondary. In this paper, a 300W low profile LLC resonant converter was built and tested to verify the proposed planar transformer.

Lectins have great potential as to determine the alternation of the distribution of cell surface carbohydrates during cellular development and differentiation. Here, we investigated the presence and distribution of cell surface carbohydrates on chicken primordial germ cells (PGCs) during the migration and gonadal stages using a variety of lectins. A total of six FITC-labelled lectins from several specificity classes were used: ConA (glucose/mannose), WGA (N-acetylglucosamine), STA (N-acetylglucosamine), DBA (N-acetylgalactosamine/galactose), UEA-I (fucose) and PHA-E (oilgosaccharide). As a results, PGC-specific binding was observed in STA. PGCs of migration stage (2.5- and 5.5-day embyos) were STA-positive whereas PGCs of 10-day embryonic gonad were not. The results suggest that N-acetylglucosamine residuse are present specifically in migrating chicken PGCs and changes during development.

Cardiac rupture after blunt trauma is very rare and caval injury is even rarer. However, cardiac rupture after blunt trauma is associated with very high mortality and can occur without a high speed collision or severe thoracic injury. Symptoms are not expressed in all patients in the early stage, so the condition is easily overlooked if patients have an associated injury, minimal thoracic injury or relatively stable vital signs. We report the successful management of two cases of vena caval injury after blunt trauma with slight thoracic injury.

The anti-oxidant activities of decursinol angelate (1) and decursin (2) isolated from Angelica gigas were investigated. These two coumarins exhibited decrease in serum transaminase activities elevated by hepatic damage induced by $CCl_4-intoxication$ in rats. They also showed increase in anti-oxidant enzyme such as hepatic cytosolic superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase, and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-px) in $CCl_4-intoxicated$ rats. These results suggest that decursinol angelate (1) and decursin (2) from A. gigas possess not only the anti-oxidant, but also the hepatoprotective activities in rats.
