The purpose of this study was to investigate the influences of environmental education program through educational theatre on student's environmental literacy of 5th graders in an elementary school in Seoul. The students were divided into an experimental group and a control group. Then, the experimental group had the emotion-centered environmental education program using educational theatre, and the control group had the regular education process, which is a general lecture about the environment. The SPSS 12.0 program was used to analyze the results. The major result of the study was as follows. First, the researcher was able to develop and apply professor-learning model for the environment education using the educational theatre by abstracting and recreating environment-related contents from the 5th grade curriculum. Second, the study has showed that applying the emotion-centered program using the education theatre for the environment education certainly contributes to the improvement of the environment knowledge of the elementary students. Third, the emotion-centered environment education program has influenced evenly on the elements of the environment knowledge divided by the four goal levels of the environment education. Finally, the higher the student's emotional quotient is, the more improvement of the environment knowledge the student gets when using the emotion-centered environment education program using the education theatre. In conclusion, the emotion-centered environment education program using the education theatre is a usable method to the elementary schools, and has a positive effect on increasing the environment knowledge of 5th grade students. In the time of requiring the diverse environment education methods, this program is worth to try as a new education method. Therefore, it is necessary to research more on the professor-learning activities related to this study.
In this study, achievement emotions were compared between the gifted and regular students. The significant differences for each group were shown in all eight elements respectively in lesson situation, learning situation and test situation. Among various achievement emotions, it was also found that the gifted students showed higher level of positive achiecement emotions. Furthermore, positive achievement emotions can have positive effects in increasing the achievement level in science subject. On the other hand, the negative achievement emotions were higher for ordinary students that could have negative effets. The influential factors were recognizing the values of Science, Science experiments, positive evaluation experiences, aggressive learning attitudes, interests and knowledge, positive self-perceptions, career relationships, and teachers' recognitions. These factors influenced in imcreasing students' positive achievement emotions and decreasing negative achievement emotions. By conducting in-depth advanced conversations with students based on the above results could increase students' interest and positive achievement emotions.

A web page was developed to enhance students' learning experience in studying meteorological phenomena. After collecting the meteorological elements observed with automatic weather observation system (AWS), it serve real-time meteorological information on demand. Past meteorological information as well as real-time current information can be retrieved because the web page can save and accumulate observed information in its data base. The completed web page was successfully applied in school settings in teaching students meteorology research sections of earth science. The results show that students experienced authentic and meaningful learning through the real-time meteorological information from the web page. In addition, large scale of time was required to observe meteorological phenomena and it hindered practical meteorological research in earth science classes. However, it is expected that the time limitation can be overcome by utilizing accumulated meteorological information of the web page.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to identify the elements of success in curriculum reformation using focus group interview and faculty survey. Methods: We analyzed the 105 questionnaires that were collected horn 450 faculties in Yonsei University College of Medicine from September 1 to September 12, 2005. The interview of focus group was conducted to 105 faculty and students using 10 interview questions from July 25 to August 29, 2005. The data of focus group interview and faculty survey were analyzed by content analysis. frequency and percentile. Results : 66.7% of faculty have pointed out that it is right a direction of new curriculum but there are some problems in curriculum management. The most frequently addressed problem in the new curriculum is as follows : ability of self-directed learning(15.3%). deficiency of faculty understanding(10.5%). The faculty comments on the improvement areas of new curriculum such as curriculum revision (8.6%). efficiency of curriculum management (6.7%), reward and incentive system of education(6.7%). The focus groups pointed out the important factors of curriculum reformation such as horizontal and vertical integrity between subjects, improvement of student achievement test, enhancement of self-directed learning. responsibility and authorities of course director. Conclusions : It should be concluded. to succeed curriculum reformation, which the purpose of curriculum reformation announces obviously and management group should effort continuously so that professors may understand the new curriculum. The course directors have to responsibility and authorities operating the subjects and the university should develop the students' evaluation system and faculty performance appraisal system.

This study is to design and to develop the educational contents to enhance artificial intelligence literacy. First, we designed artificial intelligence education contents and constructed education programs. The contents are composed of a total of 15 lectures in 8 AI domains. The contents contain the elements of knowledge-skill-attitude, and 5 learning steps. The developed contents were organized in the form of online materials and included simulations and worksheets to directly manipulate and explore the concepts and algorithms of AI. In addition, we provided evaluation questions for each content. To examine the suitability of content, we conducted a validity test for experts. As a result of the content validity test, the overall average was .71 or higher, and the CVI value of the class suitability was .82, indicating a high validity. We are expected to use the contents developed in this study as an effective program to improve AI literacy in university liberal arts education.
The purpose of this study is to explore what are the interactive factors of synchronous online education in university and identify the level of interaction. This study used mixed research method. As a result of the interaction level, it was recognized that face-to-face education could be more interactive than synchronous online education. Synchronous online education could have better interactive between instructor and learner, and among learners than asynchronous online education. Factors which influencing the interaction were as follows: small group activities and scaffolding, diversification of communication channels and integration of learner's question in learning content. Detrimental elements were distance felt between instructor and learners, low intimacy among learners, content-focused lecture, restrictions on non-verbal communication, unstable systems and misusing microphones. The necessary factors to promote interaction are planning interactive class activities, etc. Based on the results, it was to suggest what kinds of efforts are needed to make interaction more effective in terms of teaching and learning method & activity, tool & system, and environment.
Objectives : The objectives of this study are to provide the education of communication skills in the class of theories of Korean medical famous physicians and to survey students' perception of the effect. Methods : The class of theories of Korean medical famous physicians was newly designed and was given to students. The results from the questionnaire survey with second year students at department of Korean medicine were applied to the evaluation of study issues. The scale used for this study was the modified version of 'Beyer-Fetzer's Essential Elements of Communication Skills Assessment Sheet', which was developed by researchers in line with the education of Korean medicine. Results : In six (except for 'opening a conversation') out of seven categories, post-test results were more improved than pretest results. In the category of communication skills (a total of 25 questions), post-test results were higher than pretest results in all items. Among them, 13 items were statistically significant. With regard to the question as to how important the class of communication skills is to raise their professionalism as Korean medicine doctor, post-test result was higher than pretest result. Regarding an appropriate education point of time, there were various points in the entire period of curriculum. The appropriateness of teaching-learning method was positively evaluated. In terms of the content helpful for learning, learner-oriented activities was preferred over teacher-oriented lecturing. Conclusions : The communication skills learned in the class of theories of Korean medical famous physicians were effective. Communications skills should be taught constantly in the entire curriculum in order to raise students' professionalism as Korean medicine doctor. In terms of education method, it is desirable to design a class based on students' various activities, rather than lecturing.
The purpose of this paper is to study the unplugged educational program for the lower grades of elementary school. For this, the study was conducted as follows. First, a play-learning-based unplugged education method was discovered, focusing on play activities according to the level of development of elementary school students. Secondly, unplugged educational programs to develop Computational Thinking were designed according to the discovered topics. each class is conducted by storytelling, and the content of the storytelling is related to the integrated curriculum 'Winter'. In addition, each class was analyzed based on the core elements of Computational Thinking ability. And, we developed educational materials that can be used in the designed unplugged educational program. Finally, the educational program was applied to the lower grades of elementary school, and the educational program was analyzed through case studies. As a result of the analysis, the educational program was organized according to the level of the students, and it was confirmed that this educational program is helpful in improving the Computational Thinking of lower grade students of elementary school.

For high-quality education of the modern generation of students, forms of organizing the educational process and the latest methods of obtaining knowledge that differ from traditional ones are necessary. The importance of multimedia teaching tools is shown, which are promising and highly effective tools that allow the teacher not only to present an array of information in a larger volume than traditional sources of information, but also to include text, graphs, diagrams, sound, animation, video, etc. in a visually integrated form. Approaches to the classification of multimedia learning tools are revealed. Special features, advantages of multimedia, expediency of use and their disadvantages are highlighted. A comprehensive analysis of the capabilities of multimedia teaching tools gave grounds for identifying the didactic functions that they perform. Several areas of multimedia application are described. Multimedia technologies make it possible to implement several basic methods of pedagogical activity, which are traditionally divided into active and passive principles of student interaction with the computer, which are revealed in the article. Important conditions for the implementation of multimedia technologies in the educational process are indicated. The feasibility of using multimedia in education is illustrated by examples. Of particular importance in education are game forms of learning, in the implementation of which educational elements based on media material play an important role. The influence of the game on the development of attention by means of works of media culture, which are very diverse in form and character, is shown. The importance of the role of multimedia in student education is indicated. In the educational process of multimedia students, a number of educational functions are implemented, which are presented in the article. Recommendations for using multimedia are given.
