The bioelectrical impedance (BI) for the young and the elderly was measured using bioelectrical impedance spectroscopy (BIS). First, while applying a current of $600{\mu}A$ to the foot and hand, BI was measured at 50 frequencies ranging from 5 to 1000 kHz. The BI for young subjects was considerably lower than that for old subjects since young subjects have more lean mass (hydration). The prediction marker was 0.74 for young subjects and 0.78 for old subjects. Second, a Cole-Cole diagram was obtained for young subjects and old subjects, indicating the different characteristic frequencies. At 50 kHz, the average phase angle was $7.8^{\circ}$ for young subjects whereas that was $6.1^{\circ}$ for old subjects. Third, BIVA was analyzed for young subjects and old subjects. The vector length was 210.89 [${\Omega}/m$] for young subjects and 326.12 [${\Omega}/m$] for old subjects. At 50 kHz, the resistance (R/H) and the reactance ($X_C/H$) divided by height were 208.94 [${\Omega}/m$] and 28.68 [${\Omega}/m$] for young subject, and 324.33 [${\Omega}/m$] and 34.09 [${\Omega}/m$] for old subjects.
Copper nano particles have been considered as the materials for conductive ink due to its good thermal, electrical conductivity and low cost. However, copper nanoparticles oxidize easily, decreasing dispersion stability and electrical conductivity. Therefore, it is important to develop a method to minimize oxidation of copper nano particles to improve its dispersion stability property in copper nano ink. In this study, copper nano particles were coated with 1-Octanethiol VSAM(Vaporized Self Assembled Multilayers) to prevent oxidation and coated copper powders were dispersed in conductive ink successfully by studying its relationship of different chain length of solvents to 1-Octanethiol coating layer to fabricate nano ink. Various alcohol solvents, such as 1-Hexanol, 1-Octanol, and 1-Decanol were used. The coating layer was observed using FESEM and TEM. Furthermore, dispersion of copper nano particles in nano inks, was characterized using Turbiscan analyzer, viscometer, and contact angle measurement tool.
A fast response NO analyzer was applied to investigate the relation between cycle-by-cycle NO emissions and combustion chamber pressure. NO emissions were sampled at an isolated exhaust manifold of 4-stroke spark ignition engine to avoid the interference of exhaust gas from other cylinders. The linear correlation analysis was performed with collected data of NO emissions and combustion chamber pressure with respect to the various air-fuel mixture ratios and engine loads. The sampled data sets were obtained during 200 cycles at each operating condition. The results showed that there was a typical pattern in NO emissions from an exhaust port through a cycle. It was possible to set a block of crank angle in which the linear correlation coefficient between NO emissions and combustion chamber pressure was high. As the engine load increased, NO emissions were more dependent on combustion chamber pressure after TDC. It was also analyzed that the correlation between two parameters with respect to air-fuel mixture ratio tended to increase as mixture went leaner. Furthermore, this correlation coefficient for the mixture near the lean limit seemed to be kept high even though combustion was unstable.
In this study, syngas laminar burning velocities with various hydrogen contents were studied using both experimental measurements and kinetic simulations. The laminar burning velocities were measured by the angle method of Bunsen flame configuration and the numerical calculations including burning velocities were made using CHEMKIN Package with USC-Mech II. A large range of syngas mixture compositions such as 10:90%, 25:75%, 50:50%, 75:25% and equivalence ratio from lean condition of 0.5 to rich condition of 5.0 have been conducted. The experimental results of burning velocity were in good agreement with previous other research data and numerical simulation. Also, it was shown that the experimental measurements of laminar burning velocity linearly increased with the increasing of $H_2$ content although the flame speed of hydrogen is faster about ten times than carbon monoxide. This phenomenon is attributed to the rapid production of the hydrogen related radicals such as H and OH at the early stage of combustion, which is confirmed the linear increasing of radical concentrations on kinetic simulation.
Several efforts to meet the exhaust gas regulation have been undertaken by many researchers in recent years. Main researches are on development of design techniques of intake port and combustion chamber, atomisation of fuel and precise control of air-fuel ratio, post-treatment of exhaust gas and so on. Engine technology is changed from PFI to GDI to correspond with exhaust gas regulation. GDI technique makes it possible to preserve lean air-fuel ratio and control accurate air-fuel ratio. Nevertheless, It is not cleared that information of spray characteristics and atomization process are very dependent on fluctuation of pressure and change of temperature in intake stroke. In this study, a constant volume combustion chamber is manufactured to investigate various fluctuations of in-cylinder pressure for injection duration. It is taken photographs of injection process of conventional GDI injector using PMAS. Then, it was verified experimently that ambient conditions as temperature and pressure of combustion chamber have effects on process of spray growth and atomization of fuel.

The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze methods of women's apparel prototypes and provide for some useful fundamental data to improve the apparel prototype suitable for Korean women. Two different drafting methods, the Bunka pattern of Japan Bunka Women's University and the Secoli pattern of Italy istituto carlo secoli, an italian pattern drafting institute, were selected. The result and discussion are as follows; In the calculation formula, the Bunka was shown more comfort at arm-hole part, because of it's lower arm-hole depth, wider arm-hole width and lower cap height in comparison with the Secoli. At the shoulder angle, the Bunka is inclined more in front shoulder than the back shoulder, whereas the Secoli is inclined more in back shoulder than the front shoulder. It could explain that the Bunka is suitable for bendforward type and the Secoli is suitable for lean-back type. In the sensory test, the one-piece pattern of the Secoli with 4cm ease was highly estimated in ease. It seems young women's preference to body conscious clothes which reflected in many new elastic fabrics. At the bust point to neck, the Bunka was highly estimated, compared with the Secoli. It seems like to be caused that for the bust point to neck formula, the Bunka used bust girth, the Secoli used stature which has low correlation with the bust point to neck.
HCCI(Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition) combustion is an advanced combustion process explained as a homogeneously premixed charge of a fuel where air is admitted into the cylinder and compression ignited. It has possibility to reduce NOx by spontaneous auto-ignition at multiple points that allows very lean combustion resulting in low combustion temperatures. Particulate matters (PM) could be also reduced by the homogeneous combustion and no fuel-rich zones. Injection timing is extremely advanced to achieve homogeneous charge where a diesel fuel could not be vaporized sufficiently due to low pressure and low temperature condition. Also the over-penetration could be a severe problem. The small injection angle and multi-hole injectors were applied to solve these problems. Dimethyl ether (DME) as an altenative fuel was also applied to relive the bad vaporization problem associated with early injection of diesel fuel. Neat DME has a very high cetane rating and high vapor pressure. Contained oxygen reduces soot during the combustion. Experimental result shows DME can be easily operated in an HCCI engine. PM shows almost zero value and NOx is reduced more than 90% compared to direct-injection diesel engine operating mode but problem of early ignition needs more investigation.
Duplex stainless steels have the dual microstructure of austenite and ferrite phases. This steel exhibits generally a high corrosion resistance and higher mechanical strength compared with austenitic stainless steels. The steels used in the investigation have the chemical composition of Fe-22Cr-xNi-yMn-0.2N in which the contents of Ni and Mn were varied with maintaining the equal [Ni/Cr] equivalent. The fraction of ferrite phase was increased with the increase of annealing temperature. The impact factor of Mn element on the [Ni] equivalent was amended on the basis of the results of the investigation. 4Mn-2Ni alloy showed the highest pitting corrosion resistance. The fraction ratio, grain size and misorientation angle between grains were measured, and the correlation with pitting potential was investigated.
The optimization of frontal device including fuel nozzle and swirler is required to secure the mixing of fuel and air, and the combustion stability in the gas turbine combustor design for the reduction of pollutant emissions and the increase of combustion efficiency. The effects of injection nozzle and swirler on the flow field, spray characteristics and consequently the combustion stability, were experimentally investigated by measuring the velocity field, droplet sizes of fuel spray, lean combustion limit and the temperature field in the main combustion region. The effect of fuel injection nozzle was tested by adopting three different nozzles; a dual orifice fuel nozzle, a hollow cone nozzle and a solid cone nozzle. These tests were combined with the three different swirler geometries; a dual-stage swirler with 40$^{\circ}$ /-4 5$^{\circ}$ vanes and two single-stage swirlers with 40$^{\circ}$ vane angle having 12 and 16vanes, respectively. Flow fields and spray characteristics were measured with APV(Adaptive Phase Doppler Velocimetry) under atmospheric condition using kerosine fuel. Temperatures were measured by Pt-PtI3%Rh, R-type thermocouple which was 0.2mm thick. It was found that the dual swirler resulted in the biggest recirculation zone with the highest reverse flow velocity at the central region, which lead the most stable combustion. The various combustion characteristics were observed as a function of the combination between the injector and swirler, that gave a tip for the better design of gas turbine combustor.
Objective : The purpose of this study was to analyse the differences in core stability and muscle balance of the pilates Teaser motion according to the surfaces and skills. Methods : There were 10 subjects in this study with 5 being skilled and 5 that were not skilled. The independent variables were surfaces (high elastic & aluminum) and skills (skilled & unskilled). Dependent variables were core stability and muscle balance. Core stability was measured by Force Platform (9872, Switzerland), 3D Imagery (IBS-2000, EXYMA) was used to understand the muscle balance. In order to do the Teaser movement subjects had to lay flat on their back and then lean forward as much as possible and hold the position for 10 seconds. Afterwards, they would lay back down again. A camera (MHS-PM5K, SONY) was used to make 4 phases (take off, recoil forward, holding, recoil backward) during the teaser exercise to analyze movement. In this study quantitative and qualitative analysis was used. For the statistical analysis, 2X2 ANOVA was used to analyze the differences in movement time, X,Y,Z maximum force, center of pressure and angles according to different phases. 2X3 ANOVA was used to analyze the differences in muscle balance via SPSS 18.0. Results : Soft. Elastic mat had a longer holding time, lower Fx/ Fy/ Fz, shorter Fx trajectory, larger angle and shorter gaps in muscle balance than a hard surface in skilled subjects. This was because the mat can help to recruit and then sustain core fine muscles during holding time in the Teaser movement.
