일-가정 균형을 위한 지역사회의 지원에 대한 고찰 (A Study on the Service Support Program for the Work-Family Balance in the Community)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate service support programs for the work-family balance in the community. Service support programs in the community are at beginning stages of development, because it has taken about 10 years to put a self-governing system into practice in Korea. This study concentrates on service support programs developed by various service organizations in the city and does not include any rural districts. First, the developmental process of the work-family balance model and type of the service support program in the community were studied. Next, the situation of care service support was examined based on written articles. Finally, a few suggestions were made f3r work-family balance in the community. The developmental situation of work-flmily balance in Korea is in a stage which is shifting from the company-leading model to a family-company-community model. The most common type of service support program offered in the community until now has been the informal sector through relatives, neighbors or friends. However, service support programs, in the public sector by the government and in the voluntary sector by nonprofit organizations and corporations, has rapidly been growing and the number of services from each sector has also increased. Profit organizations in the private sector, such as medical and care service centers, are also now rapidly increasing. It appears that service support programs contributing to the work-family balance in the community come from a number of sectors, including public, voluntary, private and informal sectors, to suit consumer needs.

Descriptive Study of Occupational Accidents and their Causes among Electricity Distribution Company Workers at an Eight-year Period in Iran

  • Background: Occupational accidents are unplanned events that cause damage. The socio-economic impacts and human costs of accidents are tremendous around the world. Many fatalities happen every year in workplaces such as electricity distribution companies. Some electrical injuries are electrocution, electric shock, and burns. This study was conducted in an electricity distribution company (with rotational 12-hour shift work) in Iran during an 8-year period to survey descriptive factors of injuries. Methods: Variables collected included accident time, age of injured worker, employment type, work experience, injury cause, educational background, and other information about accidents. Results: Results indicated that most of the accidents occurred in summer, and 51.3% were during shift work. Worker negligence (malpractice) was the cause of 75% of deaths. Type of employment had a significant relationship with type of injuries (p < 0.05). Most injuries were electrical burns. Conclusion: High rate of accidents in summer may be due to the warm weather or insufficient professional skills in seasonal workers. Shift workers are at risk of sleep complaints leading to a high rate of work injuries. Acquiring knowledge about safety was related to job experiences. Temporary workers have no chance to work all year like permanent workers, therefore impressive experiences may be less in them. Because the lack of protective equipment and negligence are main causes of accidents, periodical inspections in workshops are necessary.

  • 국가나 기업이 보유한 정보통신 기술을 국제 표준에 반영하기 위한 표준화 활동은 국가의 산업 발전은 물론 기업의 생존이 걸린 중요한 문제라고 할 수 있다. 또한, 선진국은 자국의 기술을 국제표준에 반영하기 위하여 치열한 경쟁을 하고 있으며, 특히 정보통신 시장을 주도할 핵심 원천기술을 개발하고 이를 표준에 반영하는 표준특허 확보에 총력을 기울이고 있다. 이러한 환경에서 우리나라가 21세기 지식정보사회에서 지식정보강국으로 도약하고, 세계 정보통신 시장에서 주도적인 위치를 확보하기 위해서는 정보통신시장을 주도할 핵심기술에 대한 국제 표준화를 추진하는 정보통신 표준화 전략 수립 및 체계적인 추진이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 그동안 단편적인 접근에서 벗어나 기술개발 기획에서 세계시장 선점까지의 표준특허 확보를 위한 종합적인 전략 수립에 대한 체계적이고 종합적인 접근방법을 제시하여, 국내 개발기술의 국제 표준화를 촉진하고 표준화 활동의 초석을 마련하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

The Analysis on the Recyclability of Shenlong Automobile Company in China using SWOT Technique

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the recyclability of Shenlong in China using SWOT. The main analysis results are as follows. First, provided that the company's current capacity utilization rate is seriously insufficient, reducing staff is one among the effective ways. Second, Shenlong should open a web store to cater to young people's online shopping behavior, and further expand the brand visibility using national mainstream media and online shopping platforms like Taobao and JingDong to market Dongfeng Peugeot and Dongfeng Citroen on the whole network. Third, under the premise of maintaining the present best-selling models, Shenlong should appropriately reduce the amount of models, adjust the assembly capacity ratio of every model and every displacement in real time per the newest market trends, increase the agility of auto companies' production, and timely meet the wants of domestic consumers. Fourth, dual-brand coordination and channel integration are very necessary, and also the profitability and profitability of dealers are going to be further improved, thereby increasing sales. Fifth, target building new energy leading products of Shenlong, strive to attain the forefront of the industry within the sales of recent energy vehicles within 5 years, and gradually expand new energy vehicle products from passenger vehicles to passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles. Finally, the marketing field of Shenlong Automobile should achieve "three major changes", that is, change from a goal-driven type to a demand-driven type, cancel the bundling of outlet invoicing goals and delivery incentive tiers; start from basic capabilities, and set pragmatic and challenging goals; focus Channels, to realize following the activation of outlets, and single store sales increase.

  • 중국 물시장에 PPP를 도입한 이후, 몇몇 다국적기업이 장악했던 중국 물시장은 중국기업의 괄목할만한 성장과 함께 외국기업의 독점적인 지위는 무너지고, 경쟁적인 시장이 되었다. 진입장벽이 높은 물시장에서 중국 기업이 어떻게 주목할만한 성장을 할 수 있었는지 알아보기 위해, 중국 물산업 PPP의 발전과 중국 물기업의 성장요인을 중국 정부 정책 및 전략 변화의 흐름에 따라 이해하고자 한다. 따라서 해외시장에 진출하고자 하는 한국 물기업의 전략 수립 등에 있어 중요한 참고자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

A Case Study of Shinsegae E-mart: How E-mart Became the Number One Distribution Company even against Economic Crisis and the Entry of Walmart?

  • The success story of E-mart fascinated many academics and practitioners alike. Though E-mart began as a nameless discount store in Chang-dong, Seoul in 1993, it has transformed itself into a leading distribution company and one of the most powerful brands in Korea. Surprisingly, it achieved the great success against the two crises it met: the national economic crisis and the invasion of the global giant Walmart. The main objective of this case study is to formally examine how E-mart overcame the two crises. More specifically, this case study highlights the ways with which E-mart turned those difficulties into opportunities for growth. In our examination of the E-mart case, we could clearly see E-mart's competence and spirit that allowed it to turn crises into advantageous opportunities. E-mart attracted the customers who wanted value-oriented consumption by its positioning as the "Lowest price discount store", when consumer sentiment was frozen under the economic crisis. Furthermore, when a large-scale foreign discount store like Walmart entered the Korea market, E-mart built its core competencies as the 'Korean style discount store'. These ingenious positioning and efforts resulted in E-mart taking over their archrival, Walmart, and forced the global Goliath to exit the Korean market. The case of E-mart's effective crisis management teaches many important lessons and a few core lessons that apply to many companies. One such lesson is the importance of positioning which enabled E-mart to turn crises into opportunities. Granted, the strategy of positioning as the 'Korean style discount store', or 'Lowest price discount store' was possible due to overall support with cost reduction, development and management of their own system, an apprentice educate system, etc. based on an excellent selection of location of the store and efficient distribution systems. Still, the positioning strategy of E-mart was truly ground breaking in distancing itself from its competitors. The lessons from E-mart will help those companies currently in a stagnant situation or a crisis to turn their obstacles into great success.

CORPORATE GOVERNANCE PRACTICE OF TAIWAN LISTED CONSTRUCTION COMPANIES AND ITS CORRELATION WITH INDUSTRIAL FEATURES

  • Corporate governance is a system articulating the division of responsibilities among different company members, and defining the running rules and procedures for making decisions on corporate affairs. The separation of ownership and management in modern enterprises brings agency problems to the company shareholders, and it is wildly believed that good practice on corporate governance is essential to prevent managers from taking actions by which profiteering their own benefits but compromising the interests of shareholders. This research investigates the level of companies' compliance with the corporate governance codes to find whether significant differences in corporate governance practice exist between the listed construction companies and the national leading companies in Taiwan. Further exploration focuses on the correlation between the compliance level and the industrial features. The investigation finds that: (1)Construction companies display lower levels of corporate governance compliance; (2)Construction companies display lower levels of structural board independence and respect for stakeholders; (3)Compliance levels of construction companies are correlated with the number of employees and the ownership concentration; (4)Compliance levels of the whole sample companies are correlated with the factors representing firm size, such as turnover, capital and number of employees, but are independent of profitability as well as stock price volatility. The above empirical evidence characterizes the features of corporate governance in Taiwan listed construction companies, including: (1)Large companies lurking high risk of agency problems have more willingness to conduct corporate governance and meanwhile can afford higher costs for the conduction, so that their compliance level would be higher than smaller companies; (2)Construction companies in Taiwan have higher ownership concentration, on account of the industrial tradition of family business, and therefore pay less attention to the compliance with structural board independence and respect for stakeholders. However, the conclusions indicate that further studies are essential to clarify whether the above disparities would lead to a negative cycle of corporate governance practice in construction industry. The benefits of corporate governance should unfold more evidently to convince construction companies for improving their investment environment and stimulating their healthy growth.

전통 메주에서의 Penicillium spp.의 분포 및 특징 (Distribution and Characteristics of Penicillium spp. in Meju, aKorean Traditional Fermented Soybean Brick)

  • Penicillium spp. are frequently found in meju, a Korean traditional fermented soybean brick. We isolated and identified 96 Penicillium spp. from 22 traditional meju, and their β-tubulin genes were sequenced for the genetic and taxonomic study. Penicillium Section Viridicata was the most commonly isolated group. Notably, we also isolated and identified Penicillium roqueforti, a crucial industrial strain employed in the fermentation of blue cheese. Additionally, certain strains exhibited relatively high protease and γ-glutamyl transpeptidase activities, suggesting that they might contribute to the development of kokumi flavor during meju fermentation. Interestingly, all eight Penicillium spp., including P. roqueforti, were found to possess both types of MAT1 genes. This intriguing finding suggests the feasibility of strain improvement through mating, thereby offering opportunities for industrial applications. Therefore, these studies pave the way for a deeper exploration of Penicillium's role in meju fermentation, potentially leading to the development of starters for producing plant-based cheese-flavored condiments.

  • 본 연구는 브랜드 관리와 마케팅 의사결정 관점에서 우리투자증권의 시장 선도적 마케팅의 성공사례를 분석하였다. 우리투자증권은 자산관리시장의 변화, 투자환경의 변화를 시장변화속의 열린 기회로 인식하여 경쟁사와 다른 차별적인 전략 실행을 통해 시장변화에 민첩하게 대응하였다. 첫째, 시장 선도형 종합매매계좌 상품 브랜드인 옥토(octo)를 경쟁사보다 2년 앞서 출시하였다. 특히, 파란색 문어 캐릭터를 통해 일반 금융브랜드와 차별화된 친근하고 이미지 구축 및 통합적 마케팅 커뮤니케이션 전략을 일관성 있게 진행하였다. 둘째, 우리투자증권은 국내 금융시장과 자산관리시장의 변화를 대응하기 위한 다양한 신규 금융상품들의 성공적인 출시를 위해 옥토 브랜드의 서브 브랜딩화 하는 브랜드 확장 전략을 전개하였다. 이러한 전략적 진화를 통해 옥토브랜드는 성공적인 종합자산관리 브랜드로써, 우리투자증권의 대표 브랜드가 되었다. 셋째, 우리투자증권은 다양한 고객접점 채널을 통해 마케팅관점에서의 시장분석, 수요와 트렌드 분석 및 고객 욕구를 수렴하였다. 이를 기반으로, 상품개발 단계에 마케팅이 함께 참여하는 금융업체에서는 보기 드문 선도적인 시스템적 마케팅 활동을 전개하였다. 본 성공창출의 기저에는 우리금융그룹 계열 금융사들의 기존 기반고객 보유를 기반으로 계열금융사간의 협업이 매우 중요한 역할을 하였다. 마지막으로, 본 연구는 향후 브랜드 수명주기 관점에서 성숙기 진입이 예상되는 옥토 브랜드를 위하여 대응방안을 제언하였다. 또한, 날로 경쟁이 심화되고 있는 종합자산관리 시장에서의 지속적인 상대적 경쟁우위 및 차별적 포지셔닝을 위한 포지셔닝 전략 수정의 필요성과, M/S 1위 업체에 대한 공격적인 대응 전략 수립 및 우리금융그룹 내 자기잠식(cannibalism)에 대한 대비전략의 필요성을 제언하였다.

기술창업기업의 특허활동이 초기기업 성과에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 (A study of the Patent-related Activities affecting the Early Stage Company Performance of Technology-based Start-ups)

  • 본 연구는 기술창업기업의 특허활동이 초기기업 성과에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구이다. 기술창업기업은 혁신적인 기술을 바탕으로 새로운 제품 또는 생산방식의 도입과 시장개척을 추구한다는 점에서 지식재산권, 특히 특허권과 밀접하게 관련이 있으며, 그러한 혁신적 기술이 기업 설립과 운영의 핵심적인 역할을 한다는 점에서 기술창업기업에서 특허활동이 가지는 역할에 대한 연구는 중요한 의미가 있다고 볼 수 있다. 기존의 연구들은 기업의 특허활동과 관련하여 정량적인 특허지표를 사용하여 기업 경영성과에 미치는 영향을 파악하는 것이 대부분이어서 기업에서 실제 특허와 관련하여 행해지는 특허활동에 대한 연구는 취약한 실정이었다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해 기술개발지원활동, 권리화 활동, 침해대응활동, 기반활동 등 기업의 특허활동이 신제품개발, 즉 기술성과와 제품성과를 거쳐 경영성과로 이어지는 인과관계를 다음과 같이 검증하였다. 먼저, 특허활동은 기술성과와 제품성과에 긍정적 영향을 미치고 있다. 즉, 특허의 취득과 활용에 관련된 제반활동들이 기업의 신제품개발, 그중에서도 기업의 신기술 개발이나 특허 획득률 등 기술성과에 더 큰 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인하였다. 둘째, 기술성과는 제품성과에 긍정적 영향을 미치고 있으나, 경영성과에는 긍정적 영향을 미치고 있지 않다. 다만, 본 연구의 가설과 모형의 실증분석 결과, 직접적은 아니지만 제품성과를 거쳐 간접적으로 경영성과와 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 제품성과는 경영성과에 긍정적 영향을 미치고 있다. 결론적으로 특허활동이 기업의 경영성과에 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인하였으며, 기업의 특허나 기술의 개발과 같은 기술성과도 중요하지만 결국 기업에 있어 지속적인 경영성과 창출은 제품성과, 즉 고객이 필요로 하는 제품을 만들어 판매함으로써 가능하다는 것을 재확인할 수 있었다.
