패션명품 소비자의 상표충성에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 (Explanatory Variables of Customer's Brand Loyalty to Fashion Luxury Goods)

  • The purpose of this study was to define the mutual relationship between the explanatory variables of brand loyalty and consumer's fashion luxury brand loyalty, and ultimately to show a path model of fashion luxury brand loyalty. Especially this was focused on the relationship among social risk perception, symbolism involvement, marketer leading information search, and continuing brand loyalty. In the empirical study, a questionnaire was developed through the literature search and a survey was conducted both in on-line and off-line questionnaire simultaneously. Finally 291 data from males and females who had a buying experience of luxury brand goods were analyzed. The result showed the 4 significant paths of fashion luxury brand loyalty existed, such as social risk perception$\rightarrow$symbolism involvement, social risk perception$\rightarrow$marketer leading information search, symbolism involvement$\rightarrow$continuing brand loyalty, marketer leading information search$\rightarrow$continuing brand loyalty. And the explanatory factor which has the strongest influencing power to continuing brand loyalty was symbolism involvement. The powers of social risk perception and marketer leading information search to continuing brand loyalty were weaker than symbolism involvement. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to develop a theory on the consumer's loyalty to fashion luxury goods and marketing strategies for enhancing the brand loyalty.

A study on the perception of the metaverse and luxury fashion brands

  • This study aims to analyze consumer perceptions of the metaverse platform and luxury fashion brands in relation to consumer lifestyles, thereby providing foundational data for future marketing strategies of fashion brands using the metaverse. A survey on the lifestyle and perceptions of the metaverse, as well as on luxury fashion brands, was conducted among 300 men and women between their 20s and 40s. Statistical analyses included frequency analysis, cross-tabulation, chi-square (χ2) analysis, factor analysis, cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA, and Duncan's post-hoc test. Factor analysis of the participants' lifestyles revealed five distinct types: "Indifferent," "Social, individual, and leisure-oriented," "Trend-leading and brand-oriented," "Appearance and fashion-oriented," and "Self-improvement-focused and individualistic" types. The analysis of luxury fashion brand perceptions based on lifestyle types showed that the "Trend-leading and brand-oriented" type had higher awareness and preference for brands such as Gucci, Burberry, and Balenciaga, while the "Indifferent" type showed lower levels of awareness and preference. Regarding brand perception related to luxury fashion brand content experiences within the metaverse, Gucci, Burberry, and Balenciaga showed consistent results across all types. Specifically individuals classified under the "Trend-leading and brand-oriented" category exhibited higher awareness and preference for these brands within metaverse experiences, while those categorized as "Indifferent" displayed comparatively lower levels. Therefore, digital marketing strategies targeting consumers under the "Trend-leading and brand-oriented" category are expected to be highly effective for luxury fashion brands. This study is poised to contribute to the expansion of the marketing landscape within the metaverse virtual world for fashion.

브랜드 개성 평가를 통한 선도브랜드의 전형성 분석 연구 (Analysis for Typicality of the Leading Brand by Evaluation of Brand Personality)

  • 본 연구에서는 특정 제품군 내 선도 브랜드가 가지는 전형성을 브랜드 개성 평가를 통해 분석하였다. 사전조사를 통해 인스턴트 원두커피가 분석 대상 제품군으로 선정되었고, 일반 매장 판매 브랜드인 '카누', '루카', '수프리모' 세 개의 브랜드가 분석에 사용되었다. 연구결과, 선도 브랜드인 카누가 해당 제품군을 대표하는 브랜드 전형성을 확보하고 있는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 카누의 경우, 진실, 능력, 성공, 세련 등 제품군이 보유하는 4가지 개성 차원을 동일하게 가지고 있었다. 루카의 경우, 능력, 진실, 세련 등 세 가지 개성차원이 공통적인 것으로, 수프리모의 경우는 세련과 능력 두 개의 개성차원만이 공통적인 것으로 나타났다. 각 개성차원을 구성하는 구성개념에 있어서도 카누의 경우가 다른 경쟁 브랜드들에 비해 상대적으로 높은 공통성을 보이고 있었다. 연구를 통해 브랜드 개성 평가를 바탕으로 한 브랜드의 전형성 평가에 대한 가능성도 확인할 수 있었다.

모 기업의 시장순위에 따른 성분 브랜드 제휴 전략 : 원산지의 조절효과를 중심으로 (The Alliance Strategy of Ingredient Brand by Entry Order of Parent Brand : Moderating Effect of Country of Origin)

  • 본 연구는 후속 기업이 선도 기업을 극복하기 위한 성분 브랜드 제휴 전략을 제안하였다. 동시에 성분 브랜드의 브랜드 인지도(고/저)와 원산지(호의적/비호의적)의 조절효과에 대해서도 살펴보았다. 분석결과, 첫째, 소비자의 제휴된 제품에 대한 구매 의도는 모 기업의 시장진출순서와 성분 브랜드의 시장지위에 따라 유의한 상호작용 효과가 나타났다. 둘째, 소비자의 제휴된 제품에 대한 구매 의도는 모 기업의 시장진출순서와 원산지에 따라 유의한 상호작용 효과가 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구결과에 대한 이론적 및 실무적인 시사점과 본 연구에 대한 한계점, 향후 연구방향을 논의하였다.

Counting What Will Count: How to Empirically Select Leading Performance Indicator

  • Facing information overload in today's complex environments, managers look to a concise set of marketing metrics to provide direction for marketing decision making. While there have been several papers dealing with the theoretical aspects of dashboard creation, no research creates and tests a dashboard using scientific techniques. This study develops and demonstrates an empirical approach to dashboard metric selection. In a fast moving consumer goods category, this research selects leading indicators for national-brand and store-brand sales and revenue premium performance from 99 brand-specific and relative-to-competition variables including price, brand equity, usage occasions, and multiple measures of awareness, trial/usage, purchase intent, and liking/satisfaction. Plotting impact size and wear-in time reveals that different kinds of variables predict sales at distinct lead times, which implies that managerial action may be taken to turn the metrics around before performance itself declines.

패션 브랜드 진정성의 속성과 내부 구조 확인을 위한 질적 연구 (Qualitative Research for Investigating the Attributes and Internal Structure of Fashion Brand Authenticity)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the attributes and internal structure of fashion brand authenticity, a new concept of brand association. For qualitative research, a total of 22 samples of consumers and professional groups were selected to implement in-depth interviews and focus group interviews. The results of this study were as follows: 1) the authenticity of fashion brand included various sub-dimensions. Attributes that constituted the authenticity of fashion brand, consisted of these following 8 dimensions: heritage, authority, relationship to place, consistency, non-popularity, trend-leading, originality and sustainability. 2) sub-dimensions of the fashion brand authenticity were once again categorized into core attributes and promoted attributes. Dimensions such as heritage, authority, relationship to place, consistency and non-popularity dimensions were inherent attributes of the brand, formed at a comparatively long time. Subsequently, these were categorized as core attributes of the authenticity of fashion brand. The trend-leading, originality and sustainability can form in a relatively short period of time by accepting the change, so it was categorized as promoted attributes which were created at the front stage with the consumers.

The Influence of Product-brand Web Sites on Attitudes toward Brand Image

  • A web site focused on a specific product brand so called product-brand web site has become one major marketing tool as such product-brand web site provides chances for customers to experience the detailed information of the specific brand as well as emphatic the image of the brand. The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of the product-brand web site on the formation of attitude toward the product brand. Subjects of this study are users of two web sites of leading sanitary product brands. The result shows that not only emotion, playfulness and convenience perceived from the web site but also existing attitude toward the brand influence the attitude toward the web site. Further, the attitude toward the web site in turn affects attitude toward the image of the brand. The importance of this study is in its conceptualization and empirical verification of the relationship between the product-brand web site and the reputation of a brand.

Is Brand Identity Aligned with Brand Image on Instagram? An Empirics-First Investigation of the Indian Brands

  • Effective brand management using images has been a challenge for the brand managers. The brand identity-brand image alignment on the social media is an important yet mostly-overlooked phenomenon. We proposed a scalable Google Cloud Vision-based approach for measuring the alignment between brand identity and brand image, and understanding the brand positions. We analyzed 3247 images of 13 leading Indian brands on Instagram. Images containing wordy announcements by the firms are in stark contrast with the relatively more emotive images by the users. It leads to a noticeable disconnect between the brand identity and brand image. Also, the private sector brands do not always outperform the public sector brands in branding efforts. By offering practical guidance on how to measure and reduce the misalignment, this study paved a feasible path towards better visual branding on Instagram.

Distribution of Brand Love, Brand Coolness, Self-brand Connections and Word-of-mouth Toward the Retail Format of Starbuck in Ho Chi Minh City

  • Purpose: This study aims to analyze the effects of Brand Coolness, Brand Love, and Self-brand Connections on Word-of-mouth positively. The retail format of Starbuck in Vietnam is successful in distribution applied when it becomes the place for customers to express themselves. Consumers are now aware about Brand Coolness of the Starbucks developed in Vietnam then turn to love the brand of store and connect themselves to the brand. In this study, the closest relationship to form the basis for consumer Word-of-mouth about a brand is the relationship between Brand Coolness and Brand Love. Results: The findings show that Brand Coolness and Brand Love are important value factors in customers' minds toward their behavior, form there, it will contribute to the brand store in distribution. Research design, data and methodology: This article used the quantitative technique utilizing PLS-SEM software to test the hypothesis with 600 samples. The data obtained shows that people have Word-of-mouth about the retail format of Starbucks in Ho Chi Minh City. Conclusion: The study has demonstrated the conclusions and proposed solutions to help beverage brands build Brand Love, thereby achieving coolness, connecting brands with themselves, leading to customer Word-of-mouth in a positive way towards retail format.

자동차보험시장에서의 브랜드로열티와 브랜드변경행태 (Brand Loyalty and Brand Switching Behavior in Car Insurance Market)

  • In this paper, an approach for analyzing brand loyalty and brand switching behavior in car insurance market is presented. A two-choice model by Blumen, et al. that uses Markov chain is adopted as a main technique for estimating brand parameters. Survey data have been collected through personal interviews with questionnaires. Following the application of the model to the data, it is found that there are five leading companies in car insurance market where the number of potential brand switchers is larger than that of brand loyal customers. Therefore, differentiation of this product along with the conversion of this low-involvement product to a high-involvement one could make car insurance stand out against a somewhat undifferentiated field of competitors.
