Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the clear concept of organizational commitment for effective nursing personnel management. Method: This study was conducted using Walker & Avant's conceptual analysis framework(2005). Results: Organizational commitment was identified with six attributes: acknowledgment, acceptance, trust, sacrifice, attachment, regulation. Antecedents of organizational commitment were personal characteristics, perceived organizational support, empowerment, fair compensation, job satisfaction, job autonomy, organizational culture, and leadership. Consequences of organizational commitment were turnover intention, job performance and organizational citizenship behavior. Conclusion: Organization commitment is a core concept for understanding the management of nursing personnel. Appropriate instruments to operationalize the concept of organizational commitment including six attributes need to be developed.

Purpose: This study was to understand the major subjects of the recent nursing research in Nursing administration from keywords. Method: Keywords of journals were extracted and the frequency of the appearance of each key words was sorted by a descending order. Results: A total of 327 key words were used. The most frequently used key words were 'Job satisfaction', 'Organizational commitment', 'Leadership'. Out of them, organizational culture, nursing performance, nursing classification, patient satisfaction, and ethics appeared most frequently in descending order. Conclusion: From the above it can be noted that many nursing administration concepts were handled in the papers. But there were not enough papers on the characteristics of the Nursing administration. It is suggested that in depth research be made on 'Nursing error', 'Nursing informatics', 'Web based learning'.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of TQM dimensions through service recovery justice on service quality and customer satisfaction. Methods: This study employed structural equation modeling methodology analyzing 265 samples collected. Results: This study found that TQM related factors had positive influence on service recovery justice in general. In specific, top management leadership and employee participation are the most important factors for the service recovery justice. Conclusion: This study reveals that service recovery justice has the positive impact on both service quality and customer satisfaction.
Zohar(1980) emphasized the influence of social, organizational, and psychological context in occupational safety and health study. With this research trend, Neal, Griffin, and Hart(2000) developed a sequential safety climate model. In this paper, author examined the usability of their model the relationships among safety climates, safety knowledge, safety motivation, and safety performance(safety compliance and safety participation). The author conducted a survey to 207 manufacturing workers, and the chief results of statistical analysis are as follows : 1) the leadership has positive effects on safety knowledge and motivation, 2) the precaution activities has only positive on safety knowledge, 3) the safety system has only on safety motivation, 4) the safety knowledge and motivation have positive effects on safety compliance and participation.

Objective: Despite the recommendation of the use of high-fidelity simulation (HFS) in interprofessional education (IPE), there is little known about its work for nursing students. Thus, this study aimed to explore nurse educators' perceptions and experiences in developing and implementing the HFS-based IPE for nursing and medical students. Methods: This study used a case study, using reflective filed notes. Results: Nursing educators perceived HFS as an effective educational approach to engaging nursing and medical students actively in interprofessional collaborative practice (ICP) experiences and in evaluating their actual performance on it. In terms of their perspectives on the elements necessary for effective HFS-based IPE, four themes were identified: collaborative learning, co-facilitating debriefing, leadership commitment and active faculty involvement.

Objectives: This study was conducted to investigate general characteristics, job characteristics, characteristics of hospitals, and hospital coordinators, and to investigate the factors affecting the job satisfaction of medical workers. Methods: The data was collected through a self-reported questionnaire among 435 workers in plastic surgery and dermatology clinics in metropolitan city G. We investigated general characteristics, job-related characteristics, characteristics of medical institutions and hospital coordinators, job performance of hospital coordinators, and job satisfaction of medical workers. T-tests, ANOVA, correlation, and multiple regression analyses were conducted to investigate the factors related with job satisfaction. Results: The job satisfaction of the medical workers and the perceived job performance of hospital coordinators were $3.55{\pm}0.40$ and $3.74{\pm}0.43$, respectively. In multiple regression analysis, drinking frequency, number of night shifts, number of work days, and hospital coordinator introduction years were associated with the job satisfaction of medical workers. The more the overall job performance of hospital coordinators increased, the higher was job satisfaction(B=0.458, p<0.001). In detail, the more job roles(B=0.218, p<0.001), core competency(B=0.145, p=0.005), and leadership(B=0.099, p=0.037) increased, the higher was the job satisfaction of medical workers. Conclusions: The job satisfaction of the medical institution workers was associated with the perceived job performance of the hospital coordinator. In order to increase the job satisfaction of medical institution workers, a hospital coordinator with specialized job performance will be able to improve job satisfaction by carrying out efficient work in the medical institution.
This study aims to create assessment tools for the development fund for women, and to assess the business performance of the organizations using this development fund for women on the basis of such tools. A total of 57 projects by 58 organizations were assessed for a period of eight months. The assessment was carried out by using five tools: 1) examining the weight of the assessment tools, 2) visiting and inspecting project sites, 3) visiting and inspecting the offices of the participating organizations, 4) cooperating with the Seoul Metropolitan Government for municipal administration, and 5) assessing the final project report. Each tool was comprised of three elements: ability of relevant organizations, operational procedure, and projects results. The assessment results are summarized below: 1. According to the examination of the general trends in assessing the organizations that received the Development Fund for Women, it was found that the assessment emphasized performance more than the process involved in the project. Thus, the result suggested that the projects should be carried out more aggressively. 2. Regression analysis was conducted to identify the capability of the organizations in performing the projects with the development fund for women and the capability of the subjects as an independent variable. It was observed that such capabilities were affected by the degree of role sharing and the utilization of internal organizations. It suggested the importance of human resources. 3. To motivate the subjects involved in executing the projects with the use of the Development Fund for Women, the requirements and the satisfaction factors suggested strengthening the scope of financial support and activating the project environment. In conclusion, it is considered that the findings would provide practical ways to improve the system in using the Development Fund for Women, and in setting relevant policies in the future.
Purpose - The market orientation of a manufacturer is a very critical competitive advantage factor in the development of new markets and the sustainability and maintenance of existing ones, achieved through the design of customer-oriented products. This is recognized as a virtuous circle, in which firms grow by means of promoting quality management. However, though market-oriented activities are important in management and operations, they seem to be promoted mainly by large-scale enterprises rather than by small- and medium-scale firms, the latter having invested relatively few company resources. Furthermore, few studies and analyses have examined how market orientation relates to the expansion of quality programs within organizations or with business performance; the market orientation and customer-orientation concepts are mixed together when both are used in research. Given the current market situation in which the servitization of manufacturing firms is rapidly expanding, this study's analysis of the effect on market orientation of manufacturers is a significant contribution. From this perspective, this study has several objectives. First, is to analyze and suggest the relationship between market orientation and quality management activity for manufacturers, focusing on three sub-activities: products, process, and quality management activities. Second, it is intended to identify correlation between manufacturers' market oriented activity and their management performance and then to analyze how market orientation affects business performance. The results of a number of prior studies on the correlation between market orientation and management performance have indicated that market orientation does affect management performance. Third, this study also investigates whether any differences in the relationship among market orientation, quality management activity and business performance occur according to company size. The results are used to present operational suggestions for large- and small- and medium-size firms. Research design, data, methodology - This study seeks to analyze and identify the causal features of the organic relationship among market orientation, quality management, and management performance for Korean manufacturing companies using three years (2005-2007) of market orientation, quality management, and business performance data. Subsequently, structural equation modeling was used to analyze the causal features of related factors and it aims to identify the features of market orientation, quality management, and business performance. Results - The analysis examined how market orientation affected the quality management and management performance of 159 smalland medium-size companies. In particular, enterprise quality management was analyzed in relation to management performance with a focus on activities such as leadership, measurement and improvement, quality control, cost management, and process management. Conclusions - The result of the analysis show that market orientation significantly affected all of the quality management activities and that market orientation in turn significantly affected organizational performance. The result of analysis indicate that quality management activities have a significant effect on quality control and cost management.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the core competencies of nursing students and to improve competency-based nursing education. Methods: A triangulation method was used. A literature review and focus group interviews (FGI) were used to identify nursing core competencies. The present level of nursing competencies of students was identified through the nursing core performance questionnaire. Results: 1) Nursing core competencies, including 23 different competencies, were categorized into seven areas through a literature review and qualitative research. These competencies included: desirable personality, attitude & interpersonal skills, professionalism, nursing knowledge & basic nursing skills, ability to cope with nursing situations, basic ability in nursing research, coping ability with changes in the healthcare environment, and leadership. 2) Core nursing skills, nursing research, and nursing leadership were the three lowest ranking competencies. Some courses in the curriculum were to be newly established in an e-learning system, student's portfolio in non-curriculum. Conclusions: Further research is needed in order to show effects of the changes. Changes after applying the strategy of a nursing education program will be measured. Continuous research in competency-based nursing education is needed.
The purpose of this study is to seek a more progressive promotion of employment plan for peer support activities of people with mentally disabled. Therefore, a focus group interview (FGI) was conducted with vocational rehabilitation professionals in charge of peer support activity, leadership development and job creation project for people with mentally disabled. As a result of the study, the research participants had expectations for capacity strengthening of ability through the project, and recognized the role of peer support workers as emotional support for peers, planning and implementation of programs, operation of self-help meeting, promotion of project and facility, assistant support for colleagues etc. In addition, they saw that they could be more motivated if they were given financial rewards and meaningful role performance, feeling hard but rewarded and taking efforts for improvement of one's specialty through participation in the project. Based on the results, this study discussed about and provided practical suggestion for promoting employment of peer support workers for people with mentally disabled.
