Remediation of a Low Permeable Soil by Environmental Double Pile (환경이중파일 기법에 의한 저투수성 오염토양의 정화)

  • Environmental Double Pile method was presented as a device to improve low permeable contaminated soil. EDP is one of the latest technology in a concept of one step process that is applied to low permeable contaminated ground to reutilize the site by enhancing drainage, contaminated remediation, bearing capacity of piles. In order to evaluate on-site applicability of this technology, qualities of EDP's drainage, strength and remediation were assessed through a series of experiments; EDP was verified to achieve remediation and improvement of soft ground.

  • In order to prepare new video coding standard, ITU-T SG16/Q.6 VCEG is gathering high efficiency and low complexity coding tools. In this paper, we introduce the latest KTA codec that includes new coding tools such as AIF, APEC, AQMS, AQP, IBDI, MDDT, MVC, 1/8-pel MC, and RDO-Q. After that, we describe the our prospection and strategy for these future video coding technology.

  • Design of turbo-compressors has been considered to be a high-tech which only a few early industrialized countries could do efficiently since it requires not only deep understanding of high level gas dynamics and complex fluid dynamics but also accumulation of experiences in the feedback of expensive manufacturing and difficult testing to the design theory and empirical design coefficients. CFturbo is the turbomachinery design software which incorporates traditional well formulated German design technology and latest software technology of 3-dimensional graphics. Fine/Turbo is a powerful tubomachinery-oriented CFD package with quality structured grid topology templates for almost all the tubomachinery configurations for easy, fast and accurate CFD analysis. Rapid and effcient process off turbo-compressor R&D is setup with the combination of CFturbo and Fine/Turbo.

  • This paper presents a preform design method that combines the analytic method and inference of known knowledge with neural network. The analytic method is a finite element method that is used to simulate backward extrusion with pre-defined process parameters. The multi-layer network and back-propagation algorithm are utilized to learn the training examples from the simulation results. The design procedures are utilized to learn the training examples from the simulation results. The design procedures are two methods the first the neural network infer the deformed shape from the pre-defined processes parameters. The other the network infer the processes parameters from deformed shape. Especially the latest method is very useful to design the preform From the desired feature it is possible to determine the processes parameters such as friction stroke and tooling geometry. The proposed method is useful for shop floor to decide the processes parameters and preform shapes for producing sound product.

  • In addition to extensive research on polymer and metal three-dimensional (3D) printing, ceramic 3D printing has recently been highlighted in various fields. The biggest advantage of 3D printing has the ability to easily create any complex shape. This review introduces the 3D printing technology of ceramics according to the type of material and deals with the latest related research in the industrial field including the biomedical engineering field. Finally, the future of ceramic 3D printing technology available in dentistry will be discussed.

  • Although adoptive T cell therapy (ACT) has become a promising immunotherapeutic regime for cancer treatment, its effectiveness has been hindered by several inherent shortcomings regarding safety and efficacy. During the past few decades, several strategies for enhancing the efficacy of ACT have been developed and introduced in clinic. This review will summarize not only the past approaches but also the latest strategies which have been shown to enhance the anticancer activity of ACT.

  • This paper presents the trend of low voltage and high current technology for DC-DC converters. It can be said that the output voltage of the on-board power supply has been rapidly moving forward a low voltage in proportion to the minuteness of the semiconductors. As for as its speed is concerned, the change of the market situation seems to be faster than that of R&D for the low voltage and high current products put out by power supply manufacturers. Here, the present situation and the trend of non-isolated type step-down DC-DC converter and isolated type DC-DC converter called "Brick" will be taken up mainly from the fellowing point of view. -low voltage and high current keeping up with the current demand for the latest telecommunication networks and broadband. -build-up of the total solution for dispersion system power supply. In this paper, an explanation is given to mainly concerning to the newest products in the supplier's position.

  • In this paper, it was performed to grasp the latest tendency of remanufacturing industry of domestic electronic components for development of remanufacturing technology and economical support of government. The merits of remanufacturing are to reuse old products to perform like a new product and to save energy, natural resources, landfill space and to reduce air pollution by less re-smelting. This paper proposes a systemic approach for activating the domestic remanufacturing industry. The approach is based on inside and outside regulations to apply remanufacturing companies. And, we analyzed the state and problems of remanufacturing industry for electronic components.

A CORDIC-Jacobi Based Spectrum Sensing Algorithm For Cognitive Radio

  • Reliable spectrum sensing algorithm is a fundamental component in cognitive radio. In this paper, a non-cooperative spectrum sensing algorithm which needs only one cognitive radio node named CORDIC (Coordinate Rotation Digital Computer) Jacobi based method is proposed. The algorithm computes the eigenvalues of the sampled covariance of received signal mainly by shift and additional operations, which is suitable for hardware implementation. Based the latest random matrix theory (RMT) about the distribution of the limiting maximum and minimum eigenvalue ratio, the relationship between the probability of false alarm and the decision threshold is derived. Simulations and discussions show the method is effective. Real captured digital television (DTV) signals and Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) are also employed to evaluate the performance of the algorithm, which prove the proposed algorithm can be applied in practical spectrum sensing applications.

  • Future Mobile displays and the emerging systems on Glass for the upcoming TFT_LCDs or Active-OLEDs based on LTPS, and the exciting c-Si critically require very-high resolution lithography. We report the methodology and latest results on the alignment, magnification control and stitching systems on a HMA500 holographic mask aligner for printing $0.5{\mu}m-resolution$ display patterns onto glass substrates of dimensions up to $500mm{\times}400mm$.
