  • In order to solve the urban problems caused by the increase of the urban population, the construction of smart city applying the latest technology is being carried out all over the world. In particular, we will create a smart city platform that utilizes data generated in the city to collect and store and analyze, thereby enhancing the city's continuous competitiveness and resilience and enhancing the quality of life of citizens. However, existing smart city platforms are not enough to construct a platform for smart city as a platform for solution elements such as IoT platform, big data platform, and AI platform. To complement this, we will reanalyze the existing overseas smart city platform and IoT platform in a comprehensive manner, combine the technical elements applied to it, and apply it to the future Korean smart city platform. This paper aims to investigate the trends of smart city platforms used in domestic and foreign countries and analyze the technology applied to smart city to study smart city platforms that solve various problems of the city such as environment, energy, safety, traffic, environment.

  • Metal-N-C (MNC) catalysts have been anticipated as promising candidates for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) to achieve low-cost polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells. The structure of the M-Nx moiety enabled a high catalytic activity that was not observed in previously reported transition metal nanoparticle-based catalysts. Despite progress in non-precious metal catalysts, the low density of active sites of MNCs, which resulted in lower single-cell performance than Pt/C, needs to be resolved for practical application. This review focused on the recent studies and methodologies aimed to overcome these limitations and develop an inexpensive catalyst with excellent activity and durability in an alkaline environment. It included the possibility of non-precious metals as active materials for ORR catalysts, starting from Co phthalocyanine as ORR catalyst and the development of methodologies (e.g., metal-coordinated N-containing polymers, metal-organic frameworks) to form active sites, M-Nx moieties. Thereafter, the motivation, procedures, and progress of the latest research on the design of catalyst morphology for improved mass transport ability and active site engineering that allowed the promoted ORR kinetics were discussed.

  • Vacuum pumping remains central to the performance and economy of many manufacturing processes, scientific instruments and scientific research. More vacuum is being used in many of the latest or leading edge manufacturing processes: Current examples include 3D semiconductor devices, EUV lithography, 450 mm silicon wafers, AMOLED displays, LEDs, Lithium-ion batteries and steel degassing. In other applications, vacuum pumping technology developments have led to much lower product costs which for example have enabled mass spectrometers to become a ubiquitous tool is life science research. Vacuum pumps have continuously evolved during the past 100 years of vacuum-based industrial processing but remain a key component which is often on the critical path of process and product improvements. This is especially so in the growing number of applications where the pumps are highly stressed. This presentation outlines significant developments in vacuum that have brought about this progress. The likely course of continued improvements is discussed in terms of increased performance and reliability, robust by-product handling, better cost efficiency and reduced environmental impact especially power consumption.

  • Because the international trading community has witnessed a number of significant technical and commercial changes, documentary credit practices will quite clearly need to be updated to meet both the business and technical demands of the latest commercial and technical developments in international trade. The potential for developing "paperless credit" should, therefore, be examined. TradeCard is a B2B(business-to-business) e-commerce infrastructure that enables buyers and sellers to conduct and settle international trade transactions securely over the Internet and objective of TradeCard is to provide a secure, reliable cost-effective and user-friendly solution for conducting and settling international trade transactions. This paper analyzes the reviews of TradeCard by Electronic Message and the various problems which come to application of TradeCard, with particular attention to existing international frameworks for Payment systems based on Documentary Credit.ry Credit.

  • A web application running on the Internet is causing many difficulties for a program developer, and it requires to process multiple sessions at the same time due to the occurrence of excessive traffic. Web applications should be able to process concurrent requests efficiently and in real time. Node.js is a single-threaded server-side JavaScript environment implemented in C and C ++ as one of the latest frameworks to implement event models across the entire stack. Nodes implement JavaScript quickly and robust to achieve the best performance using a JavaScript V8 engine developed by Google. In this paper, it will be explained the operation principle of Node.js, which is a lightweight real-time web server that can be implemented in JavaScript for real-time responsive web applications. In addition, this application was practically implemented through automatic alignment system for group scheduling to demonstrate event-based real-time response web processing.

  • This paper analyses a deterministic scheduling problem concerned with manufacturing two types of components at a pre-assembly stage which consists of two independent feeding machines each producing its own type of component. Each type represents a unique component which may have variations in its size or quality. Therefore, the completion time of each component depends on both its type and quality (size) variations. Such manufactured components are subsequently assembled into various component dependent products. The problem has the objective measure of minimizing the total weighted completion time of a finite number of jobs(products) where the completion time of each job is measured by the latest completion time of its two components at the pre-assembly stage. The problem is shown to be NP-complete in the strong sense. A WSPT rule coupled with a machine-aggregation idea is developed for good heuristics which show the error bound of 2.

  • A technology that recognize the car license plate have accomplished a lot of developments for latest several years. Key technology for correct recognition is correct abstraction of plate area. Existent studies have used horizontal/vertical edge, some geometrical characteristics of license plate, and the color information. But, in case of extracting a plate using above characteristics, correct extraction of a license plate inclined by sight which see license plate is difficult. Therefore, this paper is propose new method that correctly extract license plate using the color information and linear regression method.

  • A new polymer technology commercialized with the name of Core Shell has been developed by Ondeo Nalco Company. Laboratory evaluations have demonstrated that Core Shell polymers produce a floc with high shear resistance, making them the flocculants of choice for modern high-speed paper machines. Core Shell polymers provide significant papermaking benefits, when used as single component or in combination with microparticles. At this time, the new program has been successfully applied on more than 60 paper and board machines across the world. Implementation of Core Shell polymers with or without a microparticle provided better and more stable retention values and improvements in paper quality, system cleanliness and machine runnability.

  • This paper presents performance evaluation of real-time mechanisms for real-time embedded linux. First, we presents process for implementing open-source real-time embedded linux namely RTAI and Xenomai. These are real-time extensions to linux kernel and we implemented real-time embedded linux over the latest linux kernel. Measurements of executions of real-time mechanisms for each distribution are performed to give a quantitative comparison. Performance evaluations are conducted in kernel space about repeatability of periodic task, response time of Semaphore, FIFO, Mailbox and Message queue in terms of inter-task communication for each distribution. These rules can be helpful for deciding which real-time linux extension should be used with respect to the requirements of the real-time applications.
