The Momentum Strategy of Small Foreign Investors in the Indonesia Stock Exchange

  • This research aimed to analyze the momentum strategy of foreign investors with the smallest trading transactions in the Indonesian stock market. This study applied a quantitative method approach using intraday transaction data of companies listed on the LQ-45 Index for March, April, and May 2017, obtained from the Indonesia Capital Market Institute (TICMI) which is a subsidiary of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The number of companies with available data is 35 companies, consisting of 23 non-government stocks and 12 government stocks. The number of observations from the 35 companies was 8,686,030 observations where the government companies recorded 2,751, 545 and the non-government companies 1,387,016 observations. All data was then squeezed and grouped into small, medium, and large trade transaction orders. The data analysis method used was paired t-test with SPSS to analyze cumulative abnormal returns in the formulation and test periods. This study found that small foreign investors carried out momentum strategies on stocks listed on the LQ-45 Index. However, re-testing was done by separating government and non-government shares. It turned out that small foreign investors performed a momentum strategy on non-government and a contrarian strategy on government.

기업의 사회적 책임활동이 기업이미지에 미치는 영향 : 대기업과 중소기업의 비교 (The Effect of Corporate Social Responsibility on Corporate Image : Large versus Small and Medium Sized Company)

  • Previous studies have examined the relationship between corporate social responsibility and corporate's business performance (especially, consumers' corporate evaluation). According to them, the corporate social responsibility influences the consumers' corporate evaluation. A small and medium sized company as well as a large company is asked to conduct socially responsible actions, however, it is not easy to find a study that focuses on whether the effect of the corporate social responsibility on the consumers' corporate evaluation is different by the size of company. In this paper, we classified the corporate social responsibility into the four dimensions (economic responsibility, legal responsibility, ethical responsibility, philanthropic responsibility), and investigate the differences between a small and medium sized company and a large company in the effects of the four dimensions on the consumers' corporate evaluation. We showed that the each dimension of the corporate social responsibility had an positive effect on the corporate image regardless of the size of company. In addition, we demonstrated that the effects of the four dimensions on the company image were different by the size of company; The legal responsibility and ethical responsibility are more influential to the corporate image of a large company than to that of a small and medium sized company, however, the effects of economic responsibility and philanthropic responsibility are not different by the size of company.

중소기업 TPM 성과에 영향을 주는 요인에 대한 실증적 연구 (An Empirical Study of influence Factor to TPM Performance in medium and small enterprises)

  • In this Paper, We analyzed influence Factor to TPM Performance in medium and small enterprises by empirically. By Literature survey, We hypothesize education training and 5S influence to individual improvement, independence maintenance, planning and foresight, which also influence to flexibility, total equipment performance, quality, which finally influence to lower cost, delivery date. To analyze empirically, we survey questionnaire in medium and small enterprises being below 300 people. From statistical analysis, 7 hypotheses are rejected, which is different existing research. This is analyzed that reflect actuality that medium and small enterprises is different from large enterprises. We expect that result of this treatise does concentration effort in important factor to get TPM performance in medium and small enterprises.

  • 소규모 IT 서비스 기업은 대기업에 비하여 상대적으로 한정된 자원과 인력으로 기업 활동을 수행하고 있으며, 실제 가치를 창출하는 방법에 따라 다양하게 분류될 수 있다. 그러나 현재까지의 정보보호에 관한 연구는 기업규모 및 비즈니스 특성을 고려하지 않은 일반적인 정보보호 대책수립 과정을 진행하여 왔다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 보안대책 수립에 기초가 되는 핵심 정보자산식별 과정을 소규모라는 기업규모와 IT 서비스라는 비즈니스 특성을 고려하여 추출 분류하였다. 세부적으로 정성적 관찰 작업을 통하여 비즈니스 서비스 시나리오 설계에 따른 핵심 정보자산을 식별하고, 통계적 방법을 통하여 식별된 핵심 정보자산에 대한 검증작업을 수행하였다. 향후 본 연구는 소규모 IT 서비스 기업을 위한 특화된 정보보호 대책 개발과정에서 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 예상된다.

  • Flat Panel Displays (FPDs) have made a revolution in the display industry. TFT-LCD (Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display) has been the main player of FPD for last two decades. As the industry continuously develops the technology for better performance with lower cost is constantly demanded where several post LCD technologies are being developed. One of the prime candidates of post LCD technology is AMOLED (Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode) that is considered to be an ideal FPD due to its extraordinary display performance and potentially low cost display structure. This technology has been accepted to small size display applications, such as cellular phone, PDA and PMP, etc. In this paper it is discussed that how this technology can be extended to large size display applications, such as TV. The technical issues and solutions of TFT backplane and color patterning of OLED materials are discussed and proposed

An Exploratory Research on Entrepreneurial Ecosystems: Effects on Economic Integration

  • This paper investigates the influence of the economic integration exemplified by the Eurasian Economic Union on the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Kazakhstan corporate sector. Using data collected from 204 small-, medium-, and large-sized Kazakh companies, the researchers analyzed the collected data with percentile. Findings of this study show that small- and medium-sized enterprises, especially in the tertiary sector of the Kazakh economy, are not that much affected by regional integration, whereas large firms have been significantly impacted. The originality of the paper is threefold. First, the research explores the entrepreneurial ecosystems in its focus on geographic location or digital technologies that came across mainly from the ICT space. This is becoming pervasive across mechanical systems, communications, infrastructure, and the built-up environment. Second, the originality of the paper lies in focusing on the entrepreneurial ecosystems' influence on the business processes by clearly understanding the regional, national, and international trends in different markets. Third, the paper is first of its kind to contribute an updated perspective on the entrepreneurial ecosystem's influence on economic integration to the policymakers of Kazakhstan. Policymakers will gain expertise on how to manage network effects while planning investment projects, as well as transactions, modes, and fixed nodes, acquisition, and greenfield investments.

전국 고속철도 역세권의 개발 사업여건 및 잠재수요 특성 분석 (Analysis of Development Project Conditions and Potential Demand Characteristics in High-Speed Rail Station Areas)

  • 비수도권 중소도시의 도시서비스 효율성 저하 문제가 심화됨에 따라 지역거점을 통한 압축적 도시 공간을 형성하고자 철도역세권 개발의 필요성이 강조되고 있다. 대도시 주요 역세권은 복합단지 형태로의 개발이 이루어지고 있지만, 중소도시 역세권의 개발 입지적 특성에 대한 분석은 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구는 전국의 고속철도 역세권을 대상으로 개발 사업여건과 잠재수요의 특성을 분석하여 수도권 대도시, 비수도권 대도시, 비수도권 중소도시의 도시유형에 따른 입지적 특성 차이를 파악하고, 이에 적합한 개발방식을 알아보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 분석결과, '수도권 대도시 역세권'은 높은 잠재수요와 열악한 사업여건을 갖고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 반면에 비수도권의 경우에는, '중소도시 역세권'은 양호한 사업여건과 낮은 잠재수요의 특징, '대도시 역세권'은 중간적 성격을 가지는 것으로 분석되었다. 이는 대도시와 중소도시 역세권 개발에 있어 서로 다른 개발방식의 필요성을 시사한다. 본 연구의 분석결과는 대규모 비용의 투입이 필요한 대도시 역세권은 잠재수요를 극대화하기 위한 민간참여형 사업을, 중소도시 역세권은 양호한 사업여건을 바탕으로 공공주도형 사업을 진행하거나 지역 특성에 기반한 개발을 통해 민간참여를 유도하는 것이 바람직함을 보여주고 있다.

대규모 할인점과 경쟁에서 성공한 미국 농촌 소매업자들 경영전략 (Business Strategies of Successful Rural Retailers in Competition with Large Discount Retailers in the U.S.)

  • 농촌 지역사회의 지속적인 성장과 활성화는 지역경제에 의해 좌우되고, 마찬가지로 지역주민들의 생필품 공급은 지역소매업자들에게 의해 이루어진다. 이러한 현실에서, 농촌지역의 영세소매업자에 대해 관심을 가지고 이들을 연구하는 것은 지역공동체의 지속적인 성장에 중요할 것이다. 본 연구의 목적은 대규모의 할인점들과의 경쟁에 직면하고 있는 미국 농촌 지역의 영세소매업자들(의류, 보석, 꽃, 철물 등)중에서 대규모의 할인점들과의 치열한 경쟁에 성공을 거둔 영세소매업자들이 어떠한 마케팅, 머천다이징, 고객서비스, 경영전략을 실시하고 있는지를 살펴보는 것이다. 또한, 영세소매업자들의 성공을 가능케 한 사업전략으로 사회적 자본인 지역사회참여가 어떻게 사용되고 있는지도 고찰하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 미국 중서부 지역의 세 도시를 대표하는 27명의 농촌소매업자들과의 인터뷰 및 내용분석방법을 사용하였다. 연구결과, 이들은 몇 가지 효과적인 경영전략들을 실시하고 있지만, 아직도 미흡한 부분들이 있었다. 결과부분에서는 이들이 사용하고 있는 주요 경영관행들에 대해 논의하였다.

가족기업의 가족체계: 소규모 가족기업에 있어서 가족구성원의 참여유형 (A Family system of Family Business: Participation within a Family in a Small Family Business)

  • Although the term 'family business' is relatively new, this style of business is universal. An Unusual feature that must be noted, is that even though it is a common style of business is not clearly defined. The purpose of this study is to identify the different family participation patterns, and the variables that effect different types of participation. '1997 Daewoo Panel Data' was used. Some descriptive statistics and a multinomial logit model were employed for the analysis. The standard type of business focused on in this study was a family owned and operated 'ma and pa' typed business and the sample was limited to households where one or both of the partners involved in a family owned and operated business. The main resets obtained from this sample were as follows: 1. Personal characteristics such as respondents' gender, age and educational level were important variables that effected the participation of family members in the business. As can be seen in the gender analysis, family businesses owned by men showed all available patterns of family operated businesses in relatively high numbers. A large percentage of businesses owned women were of self-employed pattern. According to the analysis by age and educational level, young people with a high level of education tend to managed their small businesses by employing others rather than utilising the self-employed or family operated pattern. 2. While big families showed a high percentage of a combination pattern of a family-run, and ordinary employer/employee company, relatively small families usually opted for purely family-run businesses. Whether the family have children under 6 or not, and the number of children under 6 did net significantly effect to the patterns of the family system of small family businesses. 3. The size, location and kind of family business also effected participation patterns of the family members significantly. These results suggest that further study will be required to gain more exact and meaningful information to help Korean family businesses.

  • In order to foster the minor enterprises effectively we will have to take a proper step to control and adjust the excessive competitions of large-enterprises and minor as well as among minor enterprises, We should promote the relationship serialized between minor - and large - enterprises and establish mediation and control organizations and governmental policies to create re-subcontract among small and medium enterprises. To help the development of medium md small enterprises in Jeon-Buk area, therefore, Kunsan city should be designated as a Growth Position City. The reason is as follows. 1) Because Kunsan is located in Middle Western Seaside geographycally, and in the central place of our country as a key point of sea-transportation, we can cultivate the national land widely. 2) As an ocean gateway city of Kum River basin, Kunsan is a good place that can reform Hoh-nam inland of Kwang-iu, Jeon-ju, I-ri, and like places as well as central inland area of Dae-jeon, Chong-ju, etc.. 3) Kunsan is an advanced-base for constituting an industrial region of Weatern roast that has a spacious coastral industrial region and is connected with inland industrial park of Jeon-ju and I-ri and Jang-hang, Bi-in, etc.. From the above reason. Kunsan should be designated as a growth position city that can induce and promote the development of center of Western coast.
