A Statistical Study Evaporation tn DAEGU Area (대구지방의 증발량에 대한 통계학적 연구)

  • Rainfall, evaporation, and permeability of water are the most important factors in determining the demand of water. The Daegu area has only a meteorologi observatory and there is not sufficient data for adapting the advanced method for derivation of the estimated of evaporation in the Daegu area. However, by using available data, the writer devoted his great effort in deriving the most reasonable formula applicable to the Daegu area and it is adaptable for various purposes such as industry and estimation of groundwater etc. The data used in this study was the monthly amount of evaporation of the Daegu area for the past 13 years(1960 to 1970). A year can be divided into two groups by relative degrees of evaporation in this area: the first group (less evaporation) is January, February, March, October, November, and December, and the second (more evaporation) is April, May, June, July, August, and September. The amount of evaporation of the two groups were statistically treated by the theory of probability for derivation of estimated formula of evaporation. The formula derved is believed to fully consider. The characteristic hydrological environment of this area as the following shows: log(x+3)=0.8963+0.1125$\xi$..........(4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 month) log(x-0.7)=0.2051+0.3023$\xi$..........(1, 2, 3, 10, 11, 12 month) This study obtained the above formula of probability of the monthly evaporation of this area by using the relation: $F_(x)=\frac{1}{{\surd}{\pi}}\int\limits_{-\infty}^{\xi}e^{-\xi2}d{\xi}\;{\xi}=alog_{\alpha}({\frac{x_0+b'}{x_0+b})\;(-b<x<{\infty})$ $$log(x_0+b)=0.80961$ $$\frac{1}{a}=\sqrt{\frac{2N}{N-1}}\;Sx=0.1125$$ $$b=\frac{1}{m}\sum\limits_{i-I}^{m}b_s=3.14$$ $$S_x=\sqrt{\frac{1}{N}\sum\limits_{i-I}^{N}\{log(x_i+b)\}^2-\{log(x_i+b)\}^2}=0.0791$$ (4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 month) This formula may be advantageously applied to estimation of evaporation in the Daegu area. Study on Estimation of the Appropriate Social Discount Rate for Evaluating Public Investment Project (공공투자사업 평가의 적정 사회적할인율 추정에 관한 연구)

  • When the cost-benefit analysis is applied for social discount rate(SDR), the choice of SDR to be used in analysis is critical. One of the important issues when public investment project evaluate what is the SDR theory, so there have studied about SDR and no exact answer it so far. In this study, there are three of SDR theories that be estimated social time preference rate, social investment returns and the weighted average method from 1990s, 2000 to 2003 and 2004 to 2008.. First, social time preference method computes consumer's interest rate and the model of Pearce and Ulph(1999). Second, social investment returns method computes private returns of capital. Third, the weighted average method computes the model of Squire, L., Herman G. van der Tak(1975) and private consumption expense and the private investment expense. SDR is estimated in the rage between 2.4% and 3.9% from 2004 to 2008. It is not appropriate that the interest rate was unstable. But it is consider for social equity from present to future generations. Considering this things, downward need to the value of current SDR 5.5%.

Discussion on the Necessity of the Study on the Principle of 'How to Mark an Era in Almanac Method of Tiāntǐlì(天體曆)' Formed until Han dynasty (한대(漢代) 이전에 형성된 천체력(天體曆) 기년(紀年) 원리 고찰의 필요성에 대한 소론(小論))

  • The signs of $G{\bar{a}}nzh{\bar{i}}$(干支: the sexagesimal calendar system) almanac, which marked each year, month, day and time with 60 ordinal number marks made by combining 10 $Ti{\bar{a}}ng{\bar{a}}ns$(天干: the decimal notation to mark date) and 12 $D{\grave{i}}zh{\bar{i}}s$(地支 : the duodecimal notation to mark date), were used not only as the sign of the factors affecting the occurrence of a disease and treatment in the area of traditional oriental medicine, but also as the indicator of prejudging fortunes in different areas of future prediction techniques.(for instance, astrology, the theory of divination based on topography, four pillars of destiny and etc.) While theories of many future predictive technologies with this $G{\bar{a}}nzh{\bar{i}}$(干支) almanac signs as the standard had been established in many ways by Han dynasty, it is difficult to find almanac discussion later on the fundamental theory of 'how it works like that'. As for the method to mark the era of $Ti{\bar{a}}nt{\check{i}}l{\grave{i}}$(天體曆: a calendar made with the sidereal period of Jupiter and the Sun), which determines the name of a year depending on where $Su{\grave{i}}x{\bar{i}}ng$(歲星: Jupiter) is among the '12 positions of zodiac', there are three main ways of $$Su{\grave{i}}x{\bar{i}}ng-J{\grave{i}}ni{\acute{a}}nf{\check{a}}$$(歲星紀年法: the way to mark an era by the location of Jupiter on the celestial sphere), $$T{\grave{a}}isu{\grave{i}}-J{\grave{i}}ni{\acute{a}}nf{\check{a}}$$ (太歲紀年法: the way to mark an era by the location facing the location of Jupiter on the celestial sphere) and $$G{\bar{a}}nzh{\bar{i}}-J{\grave{i}}ni{\acute{a}}nf{\check{a}}$$(干支紀年法: the way to mark an era with Ganzhi marks). Regarding $$G{\bar{a}}nzh{\bar{i}}-J{\grave{i}}ni{\acute{a}}nf{\check{a}}$$(干支紀年法), which is actually the same way to mark an era as $$T{\grave{a}}isu{\grave{i}}-J{\grave{i}}ni{\acute{a}}nf{\check{a}}$$(太歲紀年法) with the only difference in the name, there are more than three ways, and one of them has continued to be used in China, Korea and so on since Han dynasty. The name of year of $G{\bar{a}}nzh{\bar{i}}$(干支) this year, 2018, has become $W{\grave{u}}-X{\bar{u}}$(戊戌) just by 'accident'. Therefore, in this discussion, the need to realize this situation was emphasized in different areas of traditional techniques of future prediction in which distinct theories have been established with the $G{\bar{a}}nzh{\bar{i}}$(干支) mark of year, month, day and time. Because of the 1 sidereal period of Jupiter, which is a little bit shorter than 12 years, once about one thousand years, 'the location of Jupiter on the zodiac' and 'the name of a year of 12 $D{\grave{i}}zh{\bar{i}}s$(地支) marks' accord with each other just for about 85 years, and it has been verified that recent dozens of years are the very period. In addition, appropriate methods of observing the the twenty-eight lunar mansions were elucidated. As $G{\bar{a}}nzh{\bar{i}}$(干支) almanac is related to the theoretical foundation of traditional medical practice as well as various techniques of future prediction, in-depth study on the fundamental theory of ancient $Ti{\bar{a}}nt{\check{i}}l{\grave{i}}$(天體曆) cannot be neglected for the succession and development of traditional oriental study and culture, too.

A Study on the Daily Probability of Rainfall in the Taegu Area according to the Theory of Probaility (대구지방(大邱地方)의 확률일우량(確率日雨量)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • With the advance of civilization and steadily increasing population rivalry and competition for the use of the sewage, culverts, farm irrigation and control of various types of flood discharge have developed and will be come more and more keen in the future. The author has tried to calculated a formula that could adjust these conflicts and bring about proper solutions for many problems arising in connection with these conditions. The purpose of this study is to find out effective sewage, culvert, drainage, farm irrigation, flood discharge and other engineering needs in the Taegu area. If demands expand further a new formula will have to be calculated. For the above the author estimated methods of control for the probable expected rainfall using a formula based on data collected over a long period of time. The formula is determined on the basis of the maximum daily rainfall data from 1921 to 1971 in the Taegu area. 1. Iwai methods shows a highly significant correlation among the variations of Hazen, Thomas, Gumbel methods and logarithmic normal distribution. 2. This study obtained the following major formula: ${\log}(x-2.6)=0.241{\xi}+1.92049{\cdots}{\cdots}$(I.M) by using the relation $F(x)=\frac{1}{\sqrt{\pi}}{\int}_{-{\infty}}^{\xi}e^{-{\xi}^2}d{\xi}$. ${\xi}=a{\log}_{10}\(\frac{x+b}{x_0+b}\)$ ($-b<x<{\infty}$) ${\log}(x_0+b)=2.0448$ $\frac{1}{a}=\sqrt{\frac{2N}{N-1}}S_x=0.1954$. $b=\frac{1}{m}\sum\limits_{i=1}^{m}b_s=-2.6$ $S_x=\sqrt{\frac{1}{N}\sum\limits^N_{i=1}\{{\log}(x_i+b)\}^2-\{{\log}(x_0+b)\}^2}=0.169$ This formule may be advantageously applicable to the estimation of flood discharge, sewage, culverts and drainage in the Taegu area. Notation for general terms has been denoted by the following. Developing a comprehensive model of the optimal exploitation of dam reservoir by combining a fuzzy-logic based decision-making approach and the young's bilateral bargaining model

  • Given the limited water resources and the presence of multiple decision makers with different and usually conflicting objectives in the exploitation of water resources systems, especially dam's reservoirs; therefore, the decision to determine the optimal allocation of reservoir water among decision-makers and stakeholders is a difficult task. In this study, by combining a fuzzy VIKOR technique or fuzzy multi-criteria decision making (FMCDM) and the Young's bilateral bargaining model, a new method was developed to determine the optimal quantitative and qualitative water allocation of dam's reservoir water with the aim of increasing the utility of decision makers and stakeholders and reducing the conflicts among them. In this study, by identifying the stakeholders involved in the exploitation of the dam reservoir and determining their utility, the optimal points on trade-off curve with quantitative and qualitative objectives presented by Mojarabi et al. (2019) were ranked based on the quantitative and qualitative criteria, and economic, social and environmental factors using the fuzzy VIKOR technique. In the proposed method, the weights of the criteria were determined by each decision maker using the entropy method. The results of a fuzzy decision-making method demonstrated that the Young's bilateral bargaining model was developed to determine the point agreed between the decisions makers on the trade-off curve. In the proposed method, (a) the opinions of decision makers and stakeholders were considered according to different criteria in the exploitation of the dam reservoir, (b) because the decision makers considered the different factors in addition to quantitative and qualitative criteria, they were willing to participate in bargaining and reconsider their ideals, (c) due to the use of a fuzzy-logic based decision-making approach and considering different criteria, the utility of all decision makers was close to each other and the scope of bargaining became smaller, leading to an increase in the possibility of reaching an agreement in a shorter time period using game theory and (d) all qualitative judgments without considering explicitness of the decision makers were applied to the model using the fuzzy logic. The results of using the proposed method for the optimal exploitation of Iran's 15-Khordad dam reservoir over a 30-year period (1968-1997) showed the possibility of the agreement on the water allocation of the monthly total dissolved solids (TDS)=1,490 mg/L considering the different factors based on the opinions of decision makers and reducing conflicts among them.

Learning Needs of Registered Nurse for Insertive Education (실무교육에 대한 간호원의 학습요구)

  • The advanced knowledge is increasing day by day due to the progress of medicine and tectonics, the increase of nursing research nowadays. In parallel with these, nursing profession has a need of the nursing care with improvement of new Knowledge, tectonics and nursing procedure through the insertive education. Therefore, this study was attempted to investigate that to grasp learning need of nurses about inservice educational play a pivotal role in the progress of inservice education. This study was made from 242 clinical nurse at 4 hospitals in Seoul and through question- are consisting of 1) ideological part 2) basic sciences 3) nursing part 4) administrative part 5) the others from 10 July '75 to 7 Oct. '75. The data were treated by percentage, Licker method, arid chi- square examination. Significant difference p is 0.05. The results of this studies are as follows : A. learning needs of nurses 1) Generally the learning needs of nurses is very high. 2) Of the learning need of inservice education for nurses, the highest learning need is as follow (Table 2 ) 1 st : Charting 2 nd : The ability of grasping patient's needs and problems. 3 rd ; The contents and the methods of the advanced nursing skill. 4 th ; The importance of team work 5 th ; The general knowledge of the various disease 6 th : The decision of a propriety nursing diagnosis under the general condition. 7 th ; The introduction of the new nursing theory. 8 th : The Nurses role and the responsibility in emergency and disaster. 9 th : The improvement of nursing skill for the perfect interpersonal relationship. l0th ; Cultural education: B . Verification of hypothesis 1. Hypothesis I , learning needs of nurses and educational level of nurse will be correlated, is rejected (Table 3 ) 2. Hypothesis II, learning need of nurses and duties of post will be correlated, is rejected (Table 4) 3. Hypothesis III, learning need of nurse and clinical experience of nurses will be correlated, is rejected (Table 5).

The Methods of Harmony in Color Combination of Environmental Color for Apartment -Focused on Iksan City- (아파트 환경색채의 배색 조화 방법 -익산시를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the methods of harmony in color combination of environmental color for apartment in order to improve the image of the urban landscape. For this study, apartment in Iksan City was selected is a sample and twenty two apartments were analyzed. This framework of this study is A. Hard and L. Sivik's color combination model based on Natural Color System. This study examines various theories on environmental color perception and new approaches to color aesthetics, and tries to present perceptual properties that can be applied to environmental color design First, the principle of color harmony feeling in based on nuance and tone. Therefore, to control brightness and chromaticness with are related with nuance is important in color combination. Second, the aesthetic experience in color preception can be defined as a combined effect of similarities and differences of color attributes. Third, color harmony theory is one of the areas that can be benefit a great deal from and interdisciplinary approach, add empirical study such as this can be used as a basis for environmental color design and evaluation.

Wave Control by a Surface-Mounted Horizontal Membrane (수면 위에 고정된 수평막에 의한 파랑제어)

  • The performance of wave control by a surface-mounted horizontal membrane is analyzed in the frame of linear potential theory. To employ the eigenfunction expansion method, the fluid domain is divided into two regions i.e. region without membrane and membrane-covered region. By matching the each solutions at boundaries of adjacent regions, the complete solution is obtained. The present analytical method solving the scattering problem directly gives the same results as Cho and Kim(1998)'s method solving the diffraction and the radiation problem separately. To verify the developed model, the model test with a surface-mounted horizontal membrane is conducted at the wave tank(36m${\times}$0.91m${\times}$l.22m). The analytic results are in good agreement with the experimental results. The reflection and transmission coefficients are investigated according to the change of membrane tension, length and incident frequencies.

  • Many researcher's efforts have made a significant advancement of space frame structure with various portion, and it becomes the most outsanding one of space structures. However, with the characteristics of thin and long term of spacing, the unstable behavior of space structure is shown by initial imperfection, erection procedure or joint, especially space frame structure represents more. This kind of unstable problem could not be set up clearly and there is a huge difference between theory and experiment. Moreover, the discrete structure such as space frame has more complex solution, this it is not easy to derive the formulation of design about space structure. In this space frame structure, the character of rise-span ratio or load mode is represented by the instability of space frame structure with initial imperfection, and snap-through or bifurcation might be the main phenomenon. Therefore, in this study, space frame structure which has a lot of aesthetic effect and profitable for large space covering single layer is dealt. And because that the unstable behavior due to variation of inner force resistance in the elastic range is very important collapse mechanism, I would like to investigate unstable character as a nonlinear behavior with a geometric nonlinear. In order to study the instability. I derive tangent stiffness matrix using finite element method and with displacement incremental method perform nonlinear analysis of unit space structure, star dome and 3-ring star dome considering rise-span $ratio(\mu}$ and load $ratio(R_L)$ for analyzing unstable phenomenon.

Determination of dielectric property of subsurface by dispersive guided GPR wave (레이다파의 분산성 가이드 현상을 이용한 지하 물성 계산)

  • When wet soil overlies dry soil, which can be found in the infiltration test, the radar wave is not attenuated and guided within wet soil layer. This phenomenon is known to be the dispersive guided wave and happens when the thickness of upper wet layer is less than or comparable to the wavelength of radar wave. In this study, we have conducted the FDTD modeling and obtained the velocity dispersion curve to identify the dispersive guided wave through F-K analysis. This guided wave can be explained by modal propagation theory and a simple inversion code was developed to obtain the two layer's dielectric constants as well as layer thickness. By inverting the dispersion curve from synthetic modeling data, we could obtain the accurate dielectric constants and layer thickness. Moreover, we could enhance the accuracy by including the higher mode data. We expect this method will be very useful to get the quantitative property of subsurface when the condition is similar.
