  • The purpose of this study was to understand effects of culinary staff's technology kitchen system upon perceived ease of use, usefulness, attitude, and job performance in the foodservice industry. Based on a total of 387 samples obtained from empirical research, this study reviewed the reliability and fitness of the research model and verified a total of four hypotheses using the Amos program. The hypothesized relationships in the model were tested simultaneously using a structural equation model (SEM). The proposed model provided an adequate fit to the data, ${\chi}^2$=226.501 (df=85), p<.001, CMIN/df 2.665, RMR .066, GFI .927, NFI .926, IFI .952, TLI .941, CFI .952. The results show that culinary staff's perceived ease of use(${\beta}$=.534) had a significant positive effect on perceived usefulness. Also, perceived ease of use (${\beta}$=.350) and perceived usefulness (${\beta}$=.297) had a positive significant effect on attitude. Further, attitude (${\beta}$=1.647) had a significant positive effect on job performance. Limitations and future research directions are also discussed.

The subjects were 296 staff nurses at a general hospital in Seoul. Data were collected with self-reported questionnaires and analyzed by SPSS-PC+ 8.0 win for descriptive analysis and ANOVA analysis. The results of this study indicated that; 1) The perceived job stress was negatively correlated with social support and was positively correlated with TABP. 2) The score of the perceived job stress was higher in TABP nurses than TBBP. The TABP nurses usually perceived more support from peers than from supervisors These results showed that the staff nurses who supported from supervisor felt less stress, and the score of the perceived job stress was higher in TABP nurses than in TBBP. So the differences in social support and job stress according to the types of behavior pattern must be considered significantly in development of the staff nurses' stress management program. Also it was needed to develop the strategies that TABP nurses was effectively supported by the supervisor.

Method: Participants in this study were 300 staff nurses in general hospitals located in G and B cities. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS Win 18.0 program. Result: The major findings were as follows; 1) There were positive influences of transformational leadership on positive psychological capital, psychological well-being, and a negative effect on stress. 2) Positive psychological capital had a positive influence on psychological well-being, and negative effects on stress and somatization. 3) In the analysis of the mediating role of the positive psychological capital, transformational leadership was shown to indirectly affect psychological well-being and stress through positive psychological capital. Conclusions: These findings suggest that transformational leadership has important influences on employees' psychological well-being and stress via employees' positive psychological capital. • This study examines the effectiveness of a new community facility operation and management system that were implemented by one of the major construction companies. This system was an unprecedented approach in a sense that it provided not only necessary facilities but also a specialized management staff, an operational manual, and a subsidy for various programs. According to POE conducted among the residents, it can be concluded that the residents' satisfaction will be increased under the following conditions; 1) when a program manual associated with the community facility is provided, 2) when there is a professional staff who can coordinate various programs effectively, 3) when the facilities are well designed in accordance with the program requirements, 4) when the users adhere to regulations and management standards, 5) when all three components- i.e. facility, people and programs- are well coordinated, and 6) when affordable user fees are charged. This research assures that professional management staff and well-planned management system play a significant role in the enhancement of the residents' satisfaction as well as vitalizations of the community.

Methods: Total 3,455 work-related compensation cases of nursing staff from January 1 2000 to December 31 2012, were selected. The specific types of the diseases, injuries, causes and the time of the incidence were analyzed. Results: Majority of the compensated cases were young women under 30 years old. The composition of the occupational injuries and illness was 74.5% and 25.5%, respectively. Occupational infection was the major part of the occupational illnesses (47.3%), and 74% of them were tuberculosis. Musculoskeletal disorder (12.6%) was followed the infectious disease, and 36.4% of them occurred while moving the patients. Slipping was the most frequent injury; most of them resulted in the lower extremities injury. Most of the injuries increased during shift change, except workplace violence, which increased later than 19:00. Conclusion: Occupational injuries and illnesses of nursing staff need the specific prevention strategy, and the prevention strategy should be suitable for the nursing workplace.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the effect of airport staff's attachment and participation to Incheon International Airport on satisfaction through mediating effects of development support and negative perception. This paper surveyed airline staff who worked at airport and conducted an empirical analysis based on survey results. This is because the effect of community members' attachment on satisfaction has been reviewed quite substantially. However, there has been insufficient research on the effect of attachment and participation on satisfaction through mediating effects of development support and emotional perception. According to empirical analysis, it was found that the participation of airport staff had a significant positive effect on satisfaction. In addition, support for development projects has also been proven to have a mediating effect. Following the empirical research results, this paper suggested implications for the 5th development project at Incheon International Airport.

The final cost objects of nursing services in the delivery room were nursing service for women who had normal vaginal deliveries and nursing service for women who had preterm labor. The total cost of nursing service for a woman who had a normal vaginal delivery was 165,710 won (100.0%). The cost incurred through direct activity cost of staff nurses(58,242 won, 35.1%), indirect activity & general management cost of staff nurses (55,643 won, 33.6%), management cost of head nurse (16,211 won, 9.8%), activity cost of assistants (35,614 won, 21.5%).If the number of days of hospitalization was presumed to be 14 days, the total cost of nursing service for woman who had preterm labor would be 1,845,901 won (100.0%). The cost incurred by direct activity cost of staff nurses in the activity cost (341,349 won, 18.5%), indirect activity & general management cost of staff nurses in the common cost(779,002 won, 42.2%), management cost of head nurse(226,954won, 12.3%), activity cost of assistants in the common cost(498,596 won, 27.0%).In this study, the cost of the nursing services in the delivery room was calculated based on the ABC system. • Objectives : Based on the system and control activity for the monitoring system made of components for infection control at dental hospitals and infection rate reporting, and the role of trained infection control staff, this study tried to understand approaches to the effective infection control program by surveying infection control at dental hospitals in Korea. Methods : The survey was conducted from December 14,2010 to January 31,2011 for 121 dental hospitals in Korea. For statistical analysis, PASW Statistic 18 was used. Results : And following conclusions were reached. 1. As for the infection control system at dental hospitals, 54.7% has an infection control committee, 58.7% infection control staff, 78.5% infection control rules, and 39.7% annual infection control plan and record. 2. As for surveillance indexes to report infection rates, 50.4% has the reporting system for staff's exposure to infectious disease and needle pricking. The average number of exposures to infectious disease was $0.28{\pm}2.23$ and that of needle pricking was $1.83{\pm}5.39$. 3. As for infection control indexes, it was reviewed whether infection control rules were implemented according to operation agents, general hospitals were more active in staff infection control, and hospitals annexed to a dental university or special legal entity were more active in microorganism control. As for use of personal protection gear, there was no significant difference among operation agents. More than 71% of operators and their assistants said they did not replace their masks between patients. 4. As for personnel indexes for effective infection control staff, most hospitals designated dental hygienists, which was followed by dental doctors (or doctors). Where their workload was reviewed, the ratio of other work such as treatment was relatively higher than that of infection control (n=71). Conclusions : These results show dental hospitals in Korea have a certain level of infection control system. As infection indexes are managed mainly for staff members, patient monitoring is needed, and trained and effective infection control staff should be designated. This study reviewed surveillance, infection control and personnel indexes. And further studies are needed in the future.
