While the constitutional states emerged in the period of the constitutional monarchies to protect freedom and property of citizens from a illegal trespass of monarchs, the passive role of the constitutional states to protect them was changed in the modern parliamentary democracy in which the state is to play an active role to realize the basic rights. Today the state giving chances and social benefits to citizens plays a very important role so that the people may to enjoy a free life as a citizen. In the modern parliamentary democracy the role of the state, therefore, is transformed form passive roles to active ones realizing the basic rights for citizens. The active role of the state to embody the basic rights asks the parliament to bear more the responsibility for making laws than ever before. In the modern welfare state social rights are also recognized as a basic right. In this sense the parliament should play a active role to realize the social rights. But the Korean parliament excessively turns over his legislative right on the basis of a delegated legislation to the Administration. It does not fulfill its responsibility for which the modern parliamentary democracy asks. To realize the social rights the Korean parliament should play a more active role.

This study is to suggest the theoretical and practical implications by analysing the moderating effects of social supports in the relationships between the elder abuse experience and mental health. For this study, we sampled 270 of the elder abuse experience who has received council services for the aged. The results of this study showed that the elder abuse experience affect the mental health significantly and social support moderates the relationship between the elder abuse experience and the mental health. This study suggested some theoretical and practical implications on the base of the results.

The primary objectives of this research is to identify (1) demographic and behavioral characteristics of donors for social welfare organizations in Korea and (2) factors that predicts the degrees of donors' philanthropic effort measured by the fraction of personal income given to these organizations. This study uses the data based on the responses of 191 participants among 500 donors selected randomly from the donor population of 5 major social welfare organizations. In the demographic aspect, this study showed that donors have higher frequencies in college education, Christianity, married status, age of 30s & 40s, and middle class. In the behavioral aspect, this study showed that donors have higher frequencies in inner motivation for philanthropic participation ("joy of giving"), satisfaction about the activities of social welfare organizations, trust toward funds administration of social welfare organizations, and active participation ("solicitation to others") about donation. This study also showed that donor's duration is distributed around 3 years (median) and donors' donation amount is distributed around 20,000 Won (median). This study found that the median value of donors' philanthropic effort is 1.2 percent and the distribution of philanthropic effort by income has the U shape. Finally, using polynomial regression analysis, this study found that the first power and second power of donor's income, age, continuation motivation of donation, and degree of active participation are statistically significant in predicting the degree of donors' philanthropic effort. This study will contribute to expanding knowledge about donors' characteristics and provide a practical implication for financial resource mobilization strategies in nonprofit nongovernmental sector.

This study focused on 'The Health' which should considered as a precondition for the local residents by reinvestigating the indicators of happiness after Young-Do ward formulate a community social welfare plan. There is purpose of this study as below. I searched an general attribute and the indicators of happiness, then looked how does results from questions about health and factors of the indicators of happiness can affects the health with some kinds of elements. Five hundred people from the inhabitants of Young-Do ward who is living in Young-Do district were separated by using the random sampling method as the subject of the study. The investigation took effect from October to November of 2010 and an investigator visited the inhabitants of a ward with structured questionnaire. An investigator had one-on-one talk with inhabitants of Young-Do ward while the investigation and I also collected the data through self-administered questionnaire as well. I found the physical elements influence in the health much more than the outside factors from the study. Higher satisfaction of their career, relationship between friends and co-workers, work environment and married life reflects the fact that higher self-contentment means high quality health level.

This study is to examine the causal relationship between adolescents' academic stress and suicidal thoughts via depression and gender differences of causal relationships in each causal paths. The purpose of this study is to suggest some implications based on this analytical results. For this purpose, we conducted interviews using a questionnaire targeting high school students. The analytical results shows that adolescent's academic stress has a significant effects on their depression and suicidal thoughts, and adolescent's depression also has a significant effects on suicidal thoughts. This study suggests some implications based on this results.

This study aims to identify causal variables by examining the mutual influences of community consciousness and life satisfaction. We used some data of KCYPS. A longitudinal study of 1952 adolescents selected as a sample was conducted using the Aautoregressive crossover delay model. The results of this study are as follows: First, it showed that life satisfaction is consistently affecting the later life satisfaction with the passage of time. Second, community consciousness showed that the previous community consciousness has a constant influence on the subsequent community consciousness as time passes. Third, the effect of previous life satisfaction on community consciousness was significant. Therefore, the cross-delay effect of life satisfaction on community awareness was stable with time. In other words, life satisfaction level was a causal variable that takes precedence over community consciousness, and the higher the life satisfaction of the previous time, the higher the level of community consciousness in the future. Fourth, the cross-delay effect of community consciousness on life satisfaction was not significant because community consciousness at previous time had no meaningful effect on life satisfaction at later time, so consciousness of community at previous time affects life satisfaction. This study provided some implications basing on this results.

This study aims to examine the mediating effects of national identity and social withdrawal in the relationship between parental support and life satisfaction among multicultural adolescents, and to explore ways to enhance the life satisfaction level of multicultural adolescents. To achieve this, the study utilized structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis on the 9th wave (2019) of panel data on multicultural adolescents to verify the mediating effects. The analysis results indicate that parental support has a direct impact on life satisfaction. Additionally, national identity and social withdrawal were found to have indirect mediating effects in the pathway between parental support and life satisfaction. Based on this, such analysis results suggest practical and policy implications for developing specialized programs for parents and youth, and for improving the life satisfaction levels of multicultural adolescents in external environments such as schools and communities.

Purpose: This study tried to explore factors influencing on job maintenance of the mentally disabled who employed before. The subjects of this study were the mentally disabled who participated in community mental health center and social rehabilitation center, there had experienced a job in the past. Methods: The number of community centers were 27 places, there were located in different region. The number of participants were 221 persons agreed to this study. Data was analyzed by Mean, SD and logistic regression analyzation using SPSS/WIN 14.0. Results: General character such as age was significant factor. Monthly pay and working a day in the midst of job related factors were significant. Moreover, job rehabilitation program satisfaction rate and social support revealed significant factors. Conclusion: On the basis of results, Job rehabilitation programs for job maintenance of the mentally disabled should be development and establish mediate strategies to improve social support to them.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the policy implications through the analysis on the effects of social workers' negative reactions for client violence on burnout. Especially, This study is focused on identifying the moderating effects of demographic characteristics and institutional confrontations system. This study was carried out based on survey of social workers on social welfare facilities located in G metropolitan city and J province. The major findings can be summarized as follows. First, Social workers' negative reactions toward client violence affect on burnout significantly. Second, demographic characteristics and institutional confrontations system moderate the relationship between social workers' negative reactions toward client violence and their burnout. This study suggested some implications basing on the analytical results.

This study is to explore the effects of adolescent's stress on juvenile delinquents and the moderating effects of communication between adolescent and the parents. For this study, we sampled and surveyed middle school students. The analytical results are the followings. Juvenile's stress has a significant effects on juvenile's delinquents and the level of communication between juveniles and the parents is an important factor concerned with juvenile's delinquents. This study suggested some policy implications based on this results.
