  • The purpose of this study is to find out practical teaching material about$\boxdr$Cloth$\boxul$part of home economics course in highschool and prove it's effect on learning as the result of applying to teaching and learning activities. The objects of this study were 144 first grade students of Puyo girl's high school located in Puyo county of Chung-nam province. They were identified to have the same quality through such inspections as intelligence quotient and previous scholastic ability test. Experiment group is composed of 72 students of two class in first grade and those students utilized swatch. Controlled group is also made up of 72 students like experiment group and they didn't use swatch. The procedure of this study was as follows : First we collected the real clothing material which was necessary in $\boxdr$Cloth$\boxul$part of high school home economics and made teaching plan that could be used to make use of swatch. In this study. we first seek the averages and variations to know how much is the influence of using real things as the studying materials on the class. Then we verified the level of attention to compare and the level of student's schoolwork accomplishment. interest and attitude between experiment group that used the swatch and controlled group who didn't use those material. The result of this study are as follow : 1) After using swatch. students'attitude toward receiving information was getting better. 2) Students'interest toward$\boxdr$Cloth$\boxul$part was getting higher. 3) Scholastic accomplishment of experimental group became higher than that of controlled group.

  • The purpose of this paper is to discover effective teaching and learning methods for improving low level mathematic matriculants', who passed the early decision program, problem solving abilities by analyzing their error patterns in the special lecture for basic mathematics in P University. In this paper, we examine the matriculants' understanding and errors on the fundamental concepts of function, and continuity and differentiability of function based on the pre-examination. We also measure the their academic achievement in the special lecture for basic mathematics, and analyze the differences of error patterns between pre-test and post-test result on the concepts of continuity and differentiability of function.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the actual state of teaching and learning methods which are applied to the vocation inquiry section-related subjects of the College Scholastic Ability Test(CSAT) by the teachers who teach specialized subjects of vocational high schools. In order for us to get the background and feature of establishment in the area of vocation inquiry section of the CSAT, previous studies and literature was analyzed and sample survey on the 600 teachers who teach the vocation inquiry section-related subjects was made. The result of this survey is as shown below; First, the teachers who are in charge of vocation inquiry section-related subjects understand that theory and practice is in the ratio 60.76:39.24 and ratio of theory is higher than that of practice. Second, teaching and learning method which is the most relevant to the vocation inquiry section is in the order of lecture(83.9%), experiment & practice(50.4%), computerized learning(41.1%). Third, teaching and learning method which is the most used by the teachers who are in charge of vocation inquiry section-related subjects is in the order of lecture(85.8%), computerized learning(50.1%), experiment and practice(44.4%). Forth, the most desirable teaching and learning method which the teachers who are in charge of vocation inquiry section for this subject believe is in the order of lecture(62.7%) experience & practice(47.7%), computerized learning(44.4%). In light of this result, even though there were not so much difference among the teaching-learning methods which are the most consistent with the contents of the subject in relation to the vocation inquiry section, the most used teaching-learning method by the teachers who teach vocation inquiry section-related subjects and the most desirable teaching-learning method which the teachers who are in charge of vocation inquiry section believe, the most used teaching-learning method by the teachers who are in charge of the vocation inquiry section is lecture. Therefore, it is necessary for us to reinforce the contents in relation to the practice & experiment so that the experience and application can be accumulated and improved through practice which is the specialty of the course of the study in the vocational high school and various teaching and learning method should be developed in consideration of contents of the subject, capability & quality of the learners and status of a classroom.

  • The purpose of this research is to analyze the recognition of the curriculum experts on 2015 integrated liberal arts and natural sciences curriculum revision. Research method is a delphi survey and the subjects are curriculum experts. The research results are as follows. Firstly, experts suggested common education for all students and students' opportunities to choose subjects. Secondly, the direction of curriculum revision was different by school level. The elementary school needs to foster convergence thinking. The middle school needs to educate common basic literacy education and the high school needs both the common education and the free choice of subjects by students. Thirdly, the separation of the liberal arts and natural sciences was caused by the separate thinking of custom, tradition and study and the separate exam application on liberal arts and natural science of college scholastic ability test. The solution about separation problem of liberal arts and natural sciences have been proposed to improve mathematics education and teachers' convergence education competency. Lastly, for the establishment of an 2015, integrated curriculum the reduction of the CSAT test area and the introduction of qualifying examination for English were required.

  • The framework for mathematics assessments traditionally has been organized around two dimensions, a content dimension specifying the subject matter to be assessed within mathematics, and a cognitive dimension specifying the domains or thinking processes to be assessed. The cognitive dimensions describe the sets of behaviors expected of students as they engage with the mathematics content. The purpose of this paper is an attempt to make diversify and concrete the sets of behaviors by reviewing the current strands suggested by CAST(College Scholastic Ability Test), assessment framework developed by KEDI, and NAEA(National Assessment of Educational Achievement), and as famous foreign tests PISA, TIMSS, NAEP and NCTM.

Therefore, it is highly desirable that researchers to survey what are the biggest outcomes of vocational education division CSAT and positive ripple effects of outcomes, what are the biggest challenges of vocational education division CSAT and importance of challenges undertaken 10 years. The survey included 100 industry department teachers of specialized vocational high school on 9 region from Korea. The analysis of survey results was by regions, industry department teacher's career of specialized vocational high school. The results are as follows. The biggest outcomes of vocational education division CSAT was extension of opportunity on continuing education and supply a demand for entrance university on specialized vocational high school students. The biggest positive ripple effects of the outcomes was also extension of opportunity on continuing education and supply a demand for entrance university on specialized vocational high school students. The biggest challenges of vocational education division CSAT and importance of challenges was not to use vocational education division CSAT score for the entrance on the most universities.

  • This study suggests a framework for analyzing items based on the characteristics, and shows the relationship among the characteristics, difficulty, percentage of correct answers, academic achievement and the actual mathematical problem solving competency. Three mathematics educators' classification of 30 items of Mathematics 'Ga' type, on 2017 College Scholastic Ability Test, and the responses given by 148 high school students on the survey examining mathematical problem solving competency were statistically analyzed. The results show that there are only few items satisfying the characteristics for mathematical problem solving competency, and students feel ill-defined and non-routine items difficult, but in actual percentage of correct answers, routineness alone has an effect. For the items satisfying the characteristics, low-achieving group has difficulty in understanding problem, and low and intermediate-achieving group have difficulty in mathematical modelling. The findings can suggest criteria for mathematics teachers to use when developing mathematics questions evaluating problem solving competency.

The subjects were limited to 324 high school teachers of Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongsangnam-do regions. The major research question for the study was how are the perceptions of high school teachers about the Admission Officer System. The main results were as follows: first, high school teachers showed high understanding of the admissions overall. Second, high school teachers with counseling experience about applying to colleges considered the score of the College Scholastic Ability Test less important. Third, high school teachers have recognized that there is a distance between high school education activities and the Admission Officer System. Eliciting sympathy from the high school teachers for the Admission Officer System is a very important task. Negative perceptions of high school teachers on the Admission Officer System is still remained. The cooperation between leading universities and high schools would help the Admission Officer System work with its original purpose or goal.
