A Study of the Differing Images of Wearers according to Differences of Chroma Contrast Coloration and Stripe Patterns (채도 콘트라스트 배색과 스트라이프 무의 변화에 따른 의복착용자의 이미지 연구)

  • A purpose of this study is to 6nd out how the casual and formal style clothes of stripe pattern giving variety by pattern direction, pattern width, and contrast coloration have an effect on image of wearers. For this, 192 stimuli were made and 1200 testee evaluated them using semantic differential scale. As a result, five image dimensions were drawn as a factor of attractiveness, gracefulness, activeness, visibility, and tenderness. Unlike the value contrast previously researched, it showed that chroma contrast coloration which was interacted with a color tone contrast coloration had an effect on all the 5 image dimensions. This result was recognized as significant clothes dues in evaluating the image of stripe wearers. Besides, clothing style, stripe pattern, and contrast coloration were made clear as an efficient parameter in image presentation of clothing wearers.

  • Chi-pao is a kind of traditional clothes; it is regarded as a national costume, playing an irreplaceable role in the Chinese history. As China developed, the strict requirements on dresses did as well. History is a double-sided mirror,; we can know the past and we can find the direction ifor future development. when it comes to reform and openness, China imports foreign culture and exports domestic culture as well. This essay uses the history of Chi-pao as the background, consults the reference to analyse the brand of Chinese domestic Chi-pao characteristics, summarize the fashionable trend. Recently, Chi-pao is worn in many kinds of important occasions such as foreign affairs, public performances and so on. The purpose of this essay is to analyze the current situation of Chi-pao, make Chi-pao more international, and show the Chinese history to the world.

  • This research is aimed at establishing nominal sizes for the clothes manufacturers by using the results from a comprehensive study with 6~9 year-old girls. From the results of the data analysis, we found the following points: 1) The stature and the weight, which have strong correlations with each part of the body, are selected as the independent variables. 2) The frequency-distribution was calculated from the variable quantities(Table 1~5). 3) The nominal size for the jacket, blouse, skirt, and trousers was estimated by the frequency-distribution(Table 6~9). 4) A multiple linear regression model to estimate the 18 items was formulated.

  • The goal of this study is to investigate the consumers'shopping orientation among those who have experience in buying imported clothing and those who have no experience in buying imported foreign clothes, types of clothing they buy (planned purchase, non-planned purchase, impulsive purchasing), purchase behavior, and demographic characteristics. The data were obtained from questionnaires completed by 400 women in the Daegu area whose age was 20 years and older. The SPSS package was used for data analysis which includes a test of reliability, frequency, percentage, factor analysis, t-test, and $\chi$$^2$ test. There were significant differences in clothing shopping orientation, impulsive purchasing, use of information sources, store selection standards between groups who had experience of buying imported clothing and had no experience of it. Also, there were significant differences in education levels, income Levels, marital status between two groups.

A Study on Stress, /Normative Conformity toward Clothing, and Clothing Satisfaction of High School Students (고등학생의 스트레스와 의복의 규범적 동조 및 의복만족도에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of stress, body satisfaction, academic record, and demographic variables on the normative conformity toward clothing and clothing satisfaction of high school students. The subjects were 389 high school students(boys: 169, girls: 220) in Seoul, Korea. The normative conformity toward clothing measured by the degree of wearing of unsuitable clothes for school clothing and private clothing norm of students. The school clothing was influenced by allowance, gender, stress of home life, academic record(-), mother's education(R2=.270). The private clothes was influenced by allowance, gender, stress of home life, body satisfaction, and geographical region(R2=.200). The clothing satisfaction was influenced by body satisfaction, gender, allowance, geographical region, and stress of home life(-)(R2=.325). The present findings provide that stress of home life, gender, and allowance had effect on the normative conformity toward clothing, and the higher the stress of home life, the lower the degree of clothing satisfaction.

  • Recently, various search techniques using artificial intelligence techniques have been introduced. It is also possible to use the artificial intelligence to grasp customer propensity. Analyzing the clothes that customers usually wear, it is possible to analyze various colors such as favorite colors, patterns, and fashion styles. In this study, we use artificial intelligence technology to create an application that distinguish between adults and children by combining various factors such as shape, type, color and size of human clothes. Through this, it will be possible to utilize it in a living area where children can be protected in advance by grasping the intrusion of unauthorized adults in the living area where children live mainly. In addition, in the future, we can obtain good results to detect stranger adult person if we apply this experimental result to the detection system using clothing information.

  • 본 논문은 바쁘게 살아가는 사회인뿐만 아닌 합리적인 소비, 효율적인 시간 관리를 원하는 사람들을 위한 IoT 센서를 활용한 스마트 옷장을 제공하고자 한다. 기존 IoT 센서를 활용한 옷장은 의류를 청결하게 해주는 것에 제한되어 있지만, 본 논문에서 제안한 프로젝트는 옷을 청결하게 관리하는 것뿐만 아닌 본인의 옷의 정보를 DataBase에 저장하여 입력한 데이터를 기반으로 사용자의 옷에 대한 통계를 확인할 수 있으며, 이를 통해 의류 구매 서비스를 제공한다. 또한 날씨 데이터를 활용해 현재 날씨에서 오차범위를 계산하여 해당 날씨에 알맞은 옷을 추천하는 기능 및 관리 기능을 제공하여 효율적이고 편리한 의류를 관리할 수 있도록 한다.

  • The genus Tineola Herrich-Schäffer is reported for the first time in Korea, with a species Tineola bisselliella (Hummel, 1823). These moths can cause damage not only on irreplaceable materials of aesthetic, historic or scientific importance, but also on daily commodities such as clothes, furnishings, and other materials made of animal fur, wool, feathers or leathers. The morphological characters of T. bisselliella are described, and illustrations of examined specimens are provided.

  • This study is to compare clothing purchasing behaviors between Korean and American college students, especially men. A theoretical study was reviewed, then the survey was performed. 200 questionnaires were utilized for this study. The SPSS 12.0 was used to analyze the technical statistics like average, frequency, t-test, $X^2$, and factor analysis. The result showed, first there were some differences in most of all the clothing Purchasing behaviors such as the reason for the purchases, the purchasing information source, the standard of selecting clothes and the standards of selecting stores. There were slight differences in the reasons for the purchases between Korean and American college men. Both of them said that they purchase clothes to satisfy their needs and the situation. The American college men were slightly higher than the Korean college men for both the need.situation and impulse motive. Regarding the information sources for the purchase, The Korean college men were slightly higher than the American college men for the media information sources and lower than them for the human information sources. Regarding the standard for store selection, the college men from both countries considered product service to be the most important. The American college men considered the convenient and store services to be more important than Korean college men. Regarding the standard fur clothes selection, the Korean college men considered the clothing that matched their personal styles to be the most important standard, however, the American college men considered the attractive from the opposite sex as the important standard.

A Study on Chinese Students' Clothing Purchase and Wearing Condition (중국 유학생의 의복 구매 및 착용 실태에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to find ways to increase sales and enhance of the competitiveness of the Korean fashion brands expanding into the Chinese market by conducting a survey of the Chinese female students in order to gather data regarding their preferences and features so that clothes that are more suitable for Chinese women can be designed. For this study, a survey was conducted to 305 students attending universities or language schools located in the metropolitan areas near Seoul who had exposure to Korean clothes. The study results can be summed up as follows: According to the analysis, the Chinese students preferred comfortable, practical, and casual styles. And the analysis shows that they prefer achromatic monotonous colors rather than vivid colors or splendid and complex patterns. The students felt that Korean clothes reflected the trends very well, and they also showed very high satisfaction with the design. The most common way of gathering information for their clothing purchase was through Internet search and magazine advertisements. The survey showed that the biggest strength of the Korean fashion brands was their ability to reflect the fast changing fashion trends in their designs, and they were very much satisfied with their diverse designs and colors. Among the domestic fashion brands, they prefer domestic SPA brands such as MIXXO, SPAO, and 8IGHT SECONDS.
