Thus, the status of purchase of Korean hair cosmetics is growing day by day in China. In particular, since the environment is established to buy hair cosmetics easily in Myeong-dong which is one of the shopping tourism special districts, many Chinese tourists are crowded there. Based on such phenomenon, this study explored the differences in perceptions towards 'Korean Wave' among Chinese tourists who purchased Korean hair cosmetics in Myeong-dong, and analyzed the factors that largely determine the interest in Korean hair cosmetics and their purchase behavior. Therefore, this study is aimed at contributing to the development of hair cosmetics products and the market amid Korean Wave. As the research methods, 100 answered questionnaires were collected with target of Chinese tourists at 20s and 40s who purchased Korean hair cosmetics in Myeong-dong once 120 questionnaires were distributed. In-depth analysis was conducted and final research data were used. It was confirmed that Korean fever positively affected the Chinese tourists' purchase behavior and satisfaction of hair cosmetics, and the interests in Korean hair cosmetics at 20s were higher than at 40s. People at 20s had higher awareness, satisfaction and intention of repurchase of hair cosmetics compared rather than people at 40s. • Studies with various approaches are required for the globalization of Korean Food. The objectives of this study were i) how the preferences of foreign students residing in Korea on K-Wave, K-Drama, K-Pop and K-Friend affect their preference, satisfaction level and repurchase intention on Korean food, and ii) which of the factors have the strongest effects on their preference, satisfaction level and repurchase intention on Korean food. The results showed that the higher K-Wave, K-Drama, K-Pop and K-Friend preferences, the stronger effect on the preference, satisfaction level and repurchase intention on Korean food (p=0.0001). Among the factors for Korean food preference, the most critical one was K-Wave preference (p=0.0001), followed by K-Drama preference (p=0.0500). For the satisfaction level of Korean food, the most important factor among the four was K-Wave preference (p=0.0496), followed by K-Drama preference (p=0.0500). For the repurchase intention on Korean food, the most significant factor was the preference for K-Friend (p=0.0004), followed by K-Drama (p=0.0016) and K-Wave (p=0.0030). Based on these results, more efforts to invigorate the preferences for K-Wave and K-Drama, as well as various attempts to improve the preference for K-Friend are required for the globalization of Korean Food.

  • It is a time when a sustainable Korean Culture Festival strategy is needed. The Korean Culture Festival is a Hallyu Culture Festival that comprehensively introduces various Korean cultures such as Korean food, beauty, and fashion with the focus on K content, which has been leading the global craze since 2020. As the core project of the promotion of Neo Hallyu by the Ministry of Culture and Gymnasium, the 2021 Korean Culture Festival, which was based on the World K-Pop concert and the K-Culture Fan Fair, including holding the first face-to-face concert that applied the stage of real-world content after Covid-19, as well as conducting and exhibiting various fan participation challenges, must now make the leap to the global Hallyu Culture Festival. To this end, it can consist of drama, K-pop, K-Culture Fan Fair, K-Meetup, K-Culture Parade, and Awards. This distinction shows a classic festival program centered around the prosumer content that drives the Korean Wave, and in order for this philosophy to be effectively linked to its contemporaries, a Business to Business (B2B) and Business to Consumer (B2C) 'Techtainment Strategy' is needed to acquire potential customers through learned playfulness.

  • Monoclonal antibodies are widely used as diagnostic reagents and for therapeutic purposes, and their demand is increasing extensively. To produce these proteins in sufficient quantities for commercial use, it is necessary to raise the output by scaling up the production processes. This review describes recent trends in high-density cell culture systems established for monoclonal antibody production that are excellent methods to scale up from the lab-scale cell culture. Among the reactors, hollow fiber bioreactors contribute to a major part of high-density cell culture as they can provide a tremendous amount of surface area in a small volume for cell growth. As an alternative to hollow fiber reactors, a novel disposable bioreactor has been developed, which consists of a polymer-based supermacroporous material, cryogel, as a matrix for cell growth. Packed bed systems and disposable wave bioreactors have also been introduced for high cell density culture. These developments in high-density cell culture systems have led to the monoclonal antibody production in an economically favourable manner and made monoclonal antibodies one of the dominant therapeutic and diagnostic proteins in biopharmaceutical industry.
