감즙염색을 이용한 학습자료와 교수-학습과정안 개발 및 적용이 전통 의생활문화 교육에 미치는 효과 (Effect of Development and Application of Teaching-Learning Materials and Plan using Persimmon juice Dyeing on the Traditional Clothing Life-Culture Education)

  • 본 연구에서는 전통 의생활문화에 대한 인식을 고취시키고자 우리나라의 대표적 전통 천연염색 중 하나인 감즙염색을 이용한 학습자료를 제작하고 전통 의생활문화 체험이 가능한 교수-학습과정안을 개발하였다. 연구방법에 있어서 교육적 효과를 조사하기 위해서는 설문지를 작성하였고, 수업 실시 전과 후의 교육적 효과를 검증하기 위해서는 t-test, Kruscal-Wallis 검정 및 상관분석을 행하였다. 이를 고등학교 기술 가정과에 '감즙염색 직물을 이용한 생활소품 만들기' 주제로 수업에 적용하여 전통 이미지에 대한 인식의 변화와 학습에 대한 흥미도 및 태도 변화를 검토한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 감즙염색에 관해 연구해온 축적물로 독창적인 학습자료를 개발하여 감즙염색과 전통 의생활문화를 이해하기 위한 협동학습을 실시한 결과, 현대 감각을 살린 아이디어 소품이 창출되었다. 둘째, '청소년의 전통 의생활문화와 교육에 대한 인식'에 있어, 수업 전과 후의 차이를 나타내어 수업 후에 인식의 향상을 보였다. 나아가 조사대상을 상/중/하위 그룹으로 분류하여 분석한 결과, 긍정적인 변화에 있어서도 그룹 간 차이를 보였는데, 사전 점수가 가장 낮았던 하위 그룹에서 가장 높은 향상을 나타내었다. 셋째, '감즙염색 직물을 이용한 생활소품 만들기' 수업의 효과를 분석한 결과, 모든 문항에서 '보통' 이상으로 나타나, 학생들은 감즙염색 직물로 생활소품 만들기 체험을 통하여 전통 의생활문화에 대한 관심과 흥미도가 높아졌고 태도가 긍정적으로 변화하였음이 확인되었다. 넷째, 전통 의생활문화 인식과 그 교육에 대한 인식 간에는 문화에 대한 인식이 높은 학습자일수록 그 교육에 대한 인식도 높아 정적인 상관이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이상과 같이 개발된 학습자료와 교수-학습과정안을 통한 전통 의생활문화 수업은 전통적인 천연염색과 의생활문화에 대한 가치와 의미를 이해하는 인식에서 향상된 변화를 가져왔고, 아이디어를 창출하는 교육적 효과를 가져왔다. 전통 의생활 문화 교육은 지속적이고 다면적인 심화된 연구와 현장교육의 상호작용이 이루어질 때 교육적 시너지효과가 더 발현될 것이다.

미국내 발간된 한국음식관련 요리책에 나타난 한국음식과 음식문화 - 1930년대부터 1970년대 초까지 - (Korean Food Culture of Cookbooks Related to Korean Food Issued in the U.S. - From the 1930s to the Early 1970s -)

  • This study reviewed Korean food recipes and food culture included in English cookbooks issued in the United States from the 1930s to the early 1970s. In the 1930s cookbook, many types of soup were introduced to Korean food under the influence of the Tangban culture in the Joseon dynasty and a brief description of 'Sinseollo' culture. The 1940s cookbooks, introduced Korean table settings, food culture, and cooking methods depending on the use of chopsticks. In the 1950s cookbooks, Korean foods were selected to suit a Western table setting, and detailed explanations were included along with 'cheopsu' means the number of dishes served in Korean food. More diverse Korean food was introduced within its culture and origins in the 1960s cookbooks. The 1970s cookbooks explained, the characteristics of Korean culinary specialties that differentiated from oriental food. This study of Korean food and culture from Cookbooks issued in the United States from the 1930s to 1970s, where Eastern and Western multiculturalism coexist, can be used as baseline data to understand the identity of modern Korean food culture and the direction of the globalization of Korean food.

천연염색 의류에 대한 소비자 반응 및 소비자 특성 (Characteristics of Consumers and Their Perceptions of Natural-Dyed Clothes)

  • The main purpose of this exploratory research was to examine the characteristics of consumers who patronize natural-dyed clothes and their perceptions regarding natural-dyed clothes. Thirty three participants who have worn natural-dyed clothes were interviewed for the study. They were asked about the styles and price of natural-dyed clothes they owned, their evaluation on them, and the lifestyles of themselves. Existence of subculture among the interviewes and its characteristics were also probed. The results indicated that natural-dyed clothes are relatively high-priced, mostly of modified hanbok style, and became popular in recent years. Interviewees frequently mentioned uniqueness and comfort as the main benefits of natural-dyed clothes, and expressed dissatisfaction regarding color fastness, easy care and problem of coordination. The consumers of natural-dyed clothes appeared to have strong preferences for environment conservation and Korean traditional culture. They also seemed to form a subcultural group who have commonality in their involvement in Korean cultural activities, mainly tea ceremony.

경북지역 종가의 혼례문화 사례연구 (A Case Study on the Wedding Culture of the Main Family in the Gyeongbuk Area)

  • This study surveyed features of weddings in the main family by selecting 10 families in which the grandnephew and grandnephew's wife dwell in the head house, have a shrine, and hold a memorial service for Bulcheonwi (不遷位). A case survey through in-depth interview was carried out from April 9, to October 8, 2011. It surveyed the contents and the wedding artifacts in Uihon (議婚), Napchae (納采), Nappye (納幣), Daerye (大禮), Hyeongugorye (見舅姑禮), which are the procedures of traditional wedding that have been kept in the wedding ceremony of the main family. As a result, in deciding on marriage, the marriage was formed on the basis of similar Gagyeok (家格) and on ancestor's common scholastic mantle or origin. As for wedding furnishings, wedding presents, and wedding gifts, 9 out of 10 families were indicated to give and take weakly. Also, 6 out of 10 families held a traditional wedding ceremony in the yard of the bride's house. Hyeongugorye (見舅姑禮) was indicated to be held by all of the 10 families. A continuous effort in academic circles and industries is demanded for preserving the living culture of the main family, which proceeds with following the traditional elements even amid a rapidly-changing historical flow as today.

F. L. 라이트의 유기적 건축에 나타난 일본문화의 영향에 관한 연구 (An Influence of Japanese Culture on F. L. Wright′s Organic Architecture)

  • F. L. Wright was, from his early days, influenced by Japanese Culture and endeavored his original concept of orgonic orchitecture. In his 1st Golden Age, he devoted to establish an architectural concept of Organism which was proved by the theories of New Science and also had been universal in ancient Orient. Later, in his 2nd Golden Age, he tried to embody his unique concept in prairie houses and office buildings. The organic structure and spatial unit that actually applied to these works, were good examples of realization of the simplicity and continuity which he found out in Japanese culture. This paper is to study on the influence of Japanese culture on a course of Wright's embodying his organic architecture, and to study on a way of its realization in his works. To be concrete, main contents of the study are as follows; 1) the relationship between Wright's integrate perception and the orientalism 2) the influence of the traditional Japanese painting like woodblock prints and the aesthetic theory of the traditional Japanese pictorial art on Wright's design principles 3) the influence of Wright's experiences in Japan on his design principles 4) the influence of Wright's analysis of the traditional Japanese dwelling on his design principles 5) the course of Wright's embodying his organic architecture concept, and the way of its realization in his works.

문화역사마을가꾸기 사업의 역사문화자원 활용 방식 고찰 - 덕봉마을, 회촌마을, 효동마을, 입산마을을 대상으로 - (A Study on the Utilization of History Culture Resources of Cultural Historic Village Project - Targeting Deokbongmaeul, Hoechonmaeul, Hyodongmaeul and Ipsanmaeul -)

  • This study, targeting Deokbongmaeul, Choonchonmaeul, Hyodongmaeul and Kangsanmaeul, drew the characteristics of history culture resource utilization through the analysis of project plans and performance reports and field surveys. First, Deokbongmaeul is a rural village with scattered Confucian facilities. Ipsanmaeul conforms to Confucian order and has an attractive housing area landscape. Hoechonmaeul has forest landscape and distinguishing intangible recourses like Maeji farmer's music and traditional techniques and legends. Hyodongmaeul shows folk resources and folk behavior like traditional play and techniques. Second, the history culture resources chosen from the project plans focus on intangible history resources like individual historic buildings & structures and customs & traditional techniques. Third, cultural historic village projects are categorized by repair and restoration of historic buildings and structures, development of experience program and building facilities and maintenance and establishing the village landscape elements. From the research results, it is explained that history culture resource utilization methods of cultural historic village project are hard to be expected to have the project results based on the landscape identities of four villages.

Microbiological Analysis of Dongchimi, Korean Watery Radish Kimchi, at the Early and Mid-phase Fermentation

  • During dongchimi fermentation at 5 and $25^{\circ}C$, the pH lowered slowly and reached 4.03 at $5^{\circ}C$ after 30 days, whereas it lowered dramatically and reached 3.59 at $25^{\circ}C$ after 2 days. The predominant bacteria were Leuconostoc (Leu.) mesenteroides at $25^{\circ}C$ until day 2 which changed into Lactobacillus (Lb.) plantarum at day 3, analyzed by a culture dependent method with partial 16S rRNA gene sequencing, whereas Leu. mesenteroides occupied predominantly at $5^{\circ}C$ until day 7. In a culture-independent method using a polymerase chain reaction-denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (PCR-DGGE) with partial 16S rRNA gene sequencing, Lb. algidus was predominant at $5^{\circ}C$ until day 7 and Lb. plantarum occupied predominantly at $25^{\circ}C$ until day 3, which is different from the results of the culture based method, indicating the both methods need to be combined for accuracy. Based on the culture-dependent method, Leu. mesenteroides might be responsible for the early and mid-phase of dongchimi fermentation.

한국전통누룩에서 분리한 유용곰팡이의 특성 (Characteristics of Useful Fungi Isolated from Traditional Korea Nuruk)

  • For the standardization and quality improvement of traditional Korean Nuruk, 120 strains of fungi were isolated from Nuruks and 18 strains of them were selected as strains analysing the amylase and flavor. The genera of these fungi were identified as Aspergillus sp. (14 strains), Penicillium sp. (3 strains) and Rhizopus sp. (1 strains) by the conventional slide culture. Most of these fungi showed a better productivity of the saccharogenic and dextrinogenic enzymes in raw wheat bran culture than in cooked wheat bran culture. The ability of acid and flavor production was good in the raw wheat bran culture, and aflatoxins were not produced under the same culture. Penicillium sp. and Rhizopus sp. had high cell growth and amylast activity. Mixed culture of Aspergillus sp. No.3-6 and Penicillium sp. No.7-7 revealed a high liquefying and saccharifying activity as well as high flavors production. These results indicated that these fungi was proper strains for making Nuruk of good quality.

불이[不二] 사상에 영향을 받은 전통복식의 조형미 (The Aesthetics of Korean Traditional Costume Affected by Non-Dualistic Theory of Buddhism)

  • Religion affects all the dimension of human beings, and at the same time it forms one dimension of human beings. Costume Is considered as a result that reflects the phases of the time and the characteristics of a wearer. Costume, also, has been influenced by religion that has led one's belief, social spirit and culture for a long period of time. The Eastern aesthetics has expanded the area of thoughts with the concepts that originated from Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism. Among the concepts, Non-Dualistic Theory is the core idea of Buddhism.'rho theory contains the moaning that one should not lean to one side between existence and nonexistence and should not be obsessed with the center. It was the most powerful Buddhistic idea that had an influence on Asian aesthetics. Korean traditional costume is not an exception. This study has a significance that it was conducted to understand the relation between religious principle and traditional custom through mainly using documentary records. The formative characteristics of Korean traditional costume influenced by Non-Dualistic Theory ran be summarized as non-structure like, indeterminate forms, amorphousness and anti-decoration such as plainness, temperance and achromatic color. Aesthetic value was expressed through 'the aesthetic of emptiness', 'the aesthetic of hiding', and 'the aesthetic of nature'. Although the appearance of a religious symbol can change, an essential element in religion lasts as human society remains. Although our clothing culture has converted to western style, Korean traditional aesthetics is placed deep inside of 'the Koreans' spirit and has a consistent effect on our overall culture of clothing.

문화원형을 활용한 모바일 기능성게임 개발에 관한 연구 : 사천왕(四天王)을 틀린그림찾기를 중심으로 (The Research and the Development Case of Smart phone based Serious Gamed Application with traditional cultural materials : Focused on the game "Find the wrong picture on Sacheonwang(四天王)")

  • 본 연구는 사천왕(四天王)을 대상으로 스마트폰용 기능성 게임을 제작하였다. 현재 스마트폰 대중화로 인하여 모바일콘텐츠 시장이 확대되고 있다. 그러나 다양한 한국적 전통문화를 소재로 한 게임콘텐츠가 부족하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 토속화 되어있는 한국불교문화에 등장하는 사천왕(동방 지국천왕, 북방 다문천왕, 남방 증장천왕, 서방 광목천왕)을 고찰하고 한국형 전통문화를 기반으로 한 스마트폰용 기능성 게임콘텐츠 개발을 시도하였다. 이를 위하여 사천왕(四天王) 캐릭터 4종을 현대화하여 재조명하고 특징을 분석하였다. 다음으로 사천왕(四天王) 4종 캐릭터를 게임콘텐츠에 적합하도록 2등신 SD 캐릭터로 제작하였다. 그리고 각각의 사천왕캐릭터와 불교이미지를 활용하여 사천왕(四天王) 틀린그림찾기 모바일 기능성 게임의 기획과 개발과정을 제시하였다. 이에 본 논문은 기존의 불교문화의 콘텐츠의 특성을 살펴보고, 한국전통문화의 저변확대 및 한국토착 전통문화로 소통의 역할이 가능하도록 불교문화캐릭터를 개발하여 게임콘텐츠에 적용하였다. 따라서 본 연구의 불교문화콘텐츠를 통하여 한국 전통 캐릭터 개발 및 게임콘텐츠에 활용 가능한 대상으로 재조명할 수 있는 기회를 마련하고자 한다.
