Objectives : The aim of this study is to report the effect of Traditional Korean Medicine Including SaengRyoSaMultang-Gamibang and Hwangryunhaedok-tang Herbal-Acupuncture on the treatment of psoriasis. Methods : A patient with psoriasis was treated with SaengRyoSaMultang-Gamibang, Hwangryunhaedok-tang Herbal-Acupuncture, Aroma therapy, Acupuncture. The severity of psoriasis was assessed with Psoriasis Area and Severity Index(PASI). Results : After treatment, the patient showed that itching symptoms was disappeared and score of PASI changed from 23.4 to 2.9. Conclusions : According to the result, These findings suggest that Traditional Korean Medicine can be effective for the treatment of psoriasis.

간담습열(肝膽濕熱)로 변증되는 양측성 안면신경 마비 환자 치험 1례에서, 초기 편측 안면신경 마비에 청간소요산의 내복약과 침 치료 등 한방 치료와 항바이러스제의 양방 치료를 병행하였다. 또한 치료 중에 건측에 발생한 중이염 이후 잇따라 양측성 안면신경 마비가 발생하였을 때, 소염, 해열, 진통 효과가 있는 가미갈근탕의 변방인 부비동염-2의 내복약을 비롯한 지속적인 한방 치료 및 항균제의 양방 치료의 병행으로 원인 질환인 중이염을 먼저 치료를 하고 이후에 안면신경 마비 치료를 지속하였다. 이에 환자가 양호한 치료결과를 얻었으므로 이를 보고하는 바이다.

Objective : To find whether Herbal medicine(Chengsimyeunja-eum) and acupuncture can correct hypogeusia.Method : One patient with hypogeusia related to the effects of onion juice was selected. Herbal medicine(Chengsimyeunja-eum) was administered and acupuncture was applied for 30 times in 2 months. Taste function was evaluated by self report, the way to gustometry based on Visual Analogue Scale(VAS).Result : Chengsimyeunja-eum and acupuncture treatment improved taste after 2 months of treatment. Adverse effects were not reported.Conclusion : This study shows that the Korean medicine treatment was effective in improving hypogeusia related to the effect of onion juice.

Objectives : The objective of this study is to predict how future infectious diseases will affect healthcare utilization patterns within korean medicine hospitals and, specifically, departments of ophthalmology, otolaryngology and dermatology of Korean medicine. Methods : We retrospectively analyzed medical records of patients who visited Kyung Hee University Korean Medicine Hospital during Pre COVID-19(from March 1st, 2018 to Feb 29th, 2019) and Post COVID-19(from March 1st, 2019 to Feb 28th, 2022). The data was analyzed by visit type and diagnosed disease code. Results : 1. After the COVID-19 break-out, the number of first visit patients increased but those of revisit patients, total patients, and revisit/first visit ratio decreased in all departments. 2. In Kyung Hee University Korean Medicine Hospital, the decrease rate of the number of total patients diagnosed with diseases of respiratory system(J00-J99) was the highest, while that for diseases of circulatory system(I00-I99) was the lowest. 3. In the department of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology of Korean Medicine, the decrease rate of the number of total patients with nose disease was the highest, followed by eye disease and ear disease. 4. In the department of Dermatology of Korean Medicine, the number of total patients with dermatitis remained consistent, while the number of total patients with skin appendage disease showed relatively high decrease rate. Conclusions : Severe or chronic diseases showed relatively low decrease rate of the number of total patients. While mild diseases or diseases with high probability of exposure to COVID-19 infection during treatment showed high decrease rate of the number of total patients.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to see the effects of herbal medicines on hyperhidrosis treatment. Methods : We searched articles related to oriental treatment of hyperhidrosis through domestic and international databases. Articles were searched for RCT. The results were summarized in tables and graphs, and meta-analysis was performed. Results : As a result of setting the herbal medicine alone treatment as an intervention for hyperhidrosis and western medicine alone as the control group, total 8 articles were selected. We analyzed them and got the results. The efficient rate of the treatment group was statistically significantly higher than that of the control group. In addition, adverse events were significantly less in the treatment group than in the control group. Conclusions : We found that oriental herbal medicine was effective and safe for hyperhidrosis.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to analyze outpatients who visited for treatment for sudden sensorineural hearing loss in ophthalmology & otolaryngology & dermatology clinic of Daejeon Korean medical hospital from January 1st, 2013 to December 31th, 2021. Methods : We retrospectively analyzed outpatients who visited for treatment for sudden sensorineural hearing loss in ophthalmology & otolaryngology & dermatology clinic of Daejeon Korean medical hospital from January 1st, 2013 to December 31th, 2021. according to year, season, gender, age, clinical symptoms, number of visits and initial degree of hearing loss. The statistical analysis performed using IBM SPSS 25.0 for Windows. Results : The results of analyzing the medical records of 194 patients are as follows. 1. The number of patients showed a gradual increase from 2014 to 2021 and spring was highest in season. Acc ording to gender, women visited more than men and the age group that visited the most was middle-aged, including 40s and 50s. 2. Patients experienced 13 symptoms and the average number was 4.06. In the analysis of the major symptoms according to gender, hyperacusis and headache were found to be more common in female. 3. The average of initial hearing loss was 52.54dB and was higher in male. The loss was relatively higher in 60s or older than in the younger age group. Conclusions : If treatment and management methods that reflect these symptoms are developed, it is thought that it will greatly helpful to improve the quality of life of patients with sudden hearing loss.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the effectiveness of Korean Medicine treatment mainly withGwakhyanjeonggisangamibangand moxibustion on Verruca Vulgaris. Methods : All the patients were treated with herbal formula, including Gwakhyanjeonggisangamibangand moxibustion on wart lesions. Additional treatments such as acupuncture and cupping therapy applied selectively to patients. Photographs of lesions were used to evaluate the changes in symptoms. Results : Judging by photographs, most of patients' lesions were disappeared after the treatments in all cases. Depending on the severity and duration of the symptoms, the treatment period were different in each case: about 3 weeks, 19 weeks, and 30 weeks, respectively. Conclusions : This study shows thatGwakhyanjeonggisangamibangand moxibustion combined with other Korean Medicine treatments was effective to treat Verruca Vulgaris.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report a case of verruca vulgaris patient, treated only with Korean medicine. Methods : A 6-years-old female patient was treated only with Korean medicine due to verruca vulgaris on left hand. Photographs and size measurements of lesions were used to evaluate the changes in symptoms. Results : After 3 months of treatment, the patient's lesions showed almost complete clearance and there were no adverse effects. Conclusions : According to the results, Korean medicine with Bojungikgi-tang Hab Saengmaek-san Gamibang could be an effective and safe treatment for verruca vulgaris in a pediatric patient.
