제품구조와 생산기술간의 적합성에 관한 실증적 연구 - 우리나라 전기 . 전자산업을 중심으로 - (An Empirical Study on the Fitness between Manufacturing Technology Strategy and product Structure - Based on Korean Electric and Electronic Industry -)

  • Traditionally, the target of manufaturing technology strategy was derived in a efficiency, cost and productivity. So most activities of the manufacturing brought focus into the engineering technology, equipments and research and improvement of new products to maximize the efficiency. As a resell of this legacy, most of the activities of manufacturing has been executed on the method of quality improvement, development of new equipment to incense the efficiency and the research of materials for new products. Those trends, however overlook the operation management activities which is very important as a assets in competitive strategy. But the market enviornment of morden manufacturing companies faced to the uncertainty and complexity. So they need capability of competition which requires new concept of manufacturing technology strategy to grasp the competitive advantages. In this point of view, this paper deal with the empirical study in korean manufacturing technology strategy of the electic and electronic industry. For the empirical study, check list was made to survey the 98 manufacturing companies. The analysis procedures are as below. First, identify the manufacturing technology group an product structure group by each variable. Second manufacturing technology variables are segmented into product technology and vertical integration, suborder and infrastructure, to analyse the decision making pattern which derive the strategy groups. Third, by the fitness analysis between product structure group and manufacturing technology group, the economic results of a growth rate of sale and a profit rate of sale are tested. In this approach, fitness analysis between product structure group and manufacturing technology group show, as a whole, the no significant values in economic results of the company. But investigating the statistical values shows the trend that econmic result of the complany is somewhat higher when the degree of fitness of manufacturing technology strategy by product structure has high value. Concluding the remarks, the competitive advantages of company lies not in the efficiency of manufacturing systems but in the way of the structure and decision making pattern of the manufacturing system. And the cons i stoney between strategy target and manufacturing technology strategy, and the consistency of manufacturing technology strategy and product structure are the term of competitive advantages.

  • This study tested major determinants of customer satisfaction and loyalty by varying degrees of customers' knowledge level. Also, authors investigated the degrees of those impacts by classifying industries into two groups(service/manufacturing). Based on 4,000 completed surveys from five major cities, authors found the relationship among perceived quality, perceived value, and corporate image with customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. As a result, corporate image(extrinsic cue) was a major determinant to customers who are low knowledgeable and impacts of corporate image on customer satisfaction was stronger in service industry than manufacturing industry.

금형 산업을 변혁하는 일본의 금형 기술 (Japanese mold technology revolutionizing the mold industry)

  • The mold industry in Japan, an advanced country in the mold industry, is also at a point of great change. The main causes are the Ukraine crisis and the collapse of the global supply chain (parts supply chain) caused by COVID-19. In addition, the prices of overseas products are rising sharply due to rapid exchange rate fluctuations (decrease in the value of the yen). Until now, Japan's monotsukuri industry has been actively pursuing overseas expansion, riding the trend of globalization. However, the trend began to rapidly reverse, and now the monotsukuri industry that had expanded overseas is showing a tendency to return to Japan. Another factor of change is the change in the automobile industry, which is the most demanded product in the mold industry. As the automobile industry evolves from gasoline cars to electric cars, the number of parts that make up a car will drastically decrease. This trend is expected to increase the demand for small-scale production of a variety of products in the mold industry, and furthermore, it is expected that short delivery times will be required in parts development. As in Korea, the production population working in the mold industry is rapidly decreasing in Japan as well. Even if you add up the total population working in manufacturing in Japan, it only accounts for about 15%. Even in Japan, it is judged that it will be difficult to sustain the monotsukuri industry with this small production population. Therefore, since improvement in production efficiency cannot be expected with the same manual dexterity as before, the mold industry is also demanding the development of mold technology at a different level than before to increase productivity. In this paper, I would like to introduce new Japanese mold technology collected through attending the Intermold exhibition. This is an example of applying a dedicated pin (Gastos) to a mold to prevent an increase in internal pressure during plastic injection molding, and a deep drawing press molding technology with an inherent hydraulic function.

투입·산출 구조분해를 통한 한·일 제조업 생산 변동요인 분석 (Input-Output Structural Decomposition Analysis on the Production of Manufacturing Industries in Korean and Japanese Economies)

  • 2000년~2011년 동안 제조업의 생산액 변화에 기여한 요인과 요인별 기여도를 투입산출 구조분해분석으로 한국과 일본 간에 비교하였다. 분석결과에 따르면, 제조업 생산 증가에 가장 크게 기여한 요인은 한국의 경우 수출인 반면에 일본에서는 기술변화이다. 한국 제조업 생산 증가에 대한 기술변화의 기여도는 상대적으로 미미하며 감소하고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 한편, 국내최종수요는 한국에서는 수출에 이어 제조업 생산 증가의 두 번째 기여요인인 반면에 일본에서는 제조업 생산 감소의 가장 큰 기여요인이다. 특히, 두 국가 모두에서 중간재와 최종재의 국산화율은 감소하여 제조업 생산 위축의 주요 요인으로 작용하였다. 결과적으로 한국 제조업의 수출의존적 성장을 재확인하였으며, 이러한 수출의존도가 강화되고 있음도 확인하였다. 하지만, 과도한 수출의존도는 점점 심화되고 있는 세계경제 변동성과 불확실성을 고려할 때 한편으로는 한국 제조업의 지속적 성장에 장애요인이 될 수도 있음을 의미한다. 따라서 모든 기여요인이 균형적으로 성장에 기여하는 것이 중요하며, 특히, 상대적으로 저조한 것으로 분석된 기술변화의 기여도를 높이기 위한 연구개발 및 기술혁신 강화와 중간재 및 최종재의 국산화율 높이기 위한 노력이 더 요구되는 정책적 시사점이 있다.

The Critical Success Factors of Six Sigma in China Manufacturing Industry

  • Six Sigma has been one of main quality improvement approaches since Motorola first invented Six Sigma in 1987. Many scholars and consult experts have discussed the critical success factors of implementing Six Sigma management, but most of them are based on related theories or qualitative analyses. In the paper, we first review critical success factor of Six Sigma status quo based on literature. Then we design the questionnaire and survey China manufacturing enterprises that have introduced Six Sigma management. And finally, we analyze the critical success factors of China manufacturing industry implementing Six Sigma management by using structural equation model and find that leadership and Six Sigma strategy, focus on market and customer, evaluation and motivation, selecting, managing and implementing Six Sigma projects are four critical success factors of China manufacturing enterprises implementing Six Sigma management. At the same time, the paper also presents the relationships between the critical success factors. The results are of important role in China manufacturing industry locating resources, eliminating waste and improving Six Sigma performance.

  • 재제조(Re-manufacturing)는 제품의 수명이 다하여 폐기단계에 있는 사용 후 제품이나 부품을 회수하여 재처리 후 신제품 조립공정과 같은 재조립 과정을 거쳐 본래 가지고 있던 제품의 기능 및 성능을 회복하도록 하는 제조방법의 하나이다. 재재조 산업은 환경보호 측면 뿐만 아니라 경제적 측면 또한 중요하다. 산업전반의 성패는 제품에 대한 신뢰 및 가격 경쟁력에 달려있다. 제품 제조 공정에서 인건비를 줄이고 제품의 신뢰도를 향상시키기 위해 영상처리 시스템을 이용한다. 본 연구에서는 폐드럼을 재생하기 위해 전처리 단계인 재활용 여부 판단 단계 및 드럼을 재생한 후 출고직전 영상처리를 이용하여 사람의 육안으로 식별이 어려운 이물질 및 불량을 검출한다.

韓菓의 大量生産을 위한 연구 - 제조공정 및 기기설비류를 중심으로 - (A study on Mass Production of Korean Traditional Cookies - Manufacturing process and Machinery -)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the manufacturing process for mass production of korean traditional cookies to be supplied to consumers with cheap price. Selected items for mass production is Yoomilkwa such as Yackwa. Maejackwa which preferred by consumers, and Chasookwa which was presented at royal party in YiDynasity. Standard mixing ratio of food material, manufacturing process, and machinery needed in each manufacturing process were suggested by the items of korean traditional cookies. Manufactured goods which is produced in large quantities by machinery are Yackwa model I, II Maejackwa model I, II, III, and Chasookwa model I, II.

중소기업의 ESG 경영 실천 지표 구성: 자동차부품제조업을 중심으로 (Constructing ESG Management Performance Indicators for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises: Focusing on the Automotive Parts Manufacturing Industry)

  • Recently, as ESG management has become an important issue, major companies in the automotive parts manufacturing industry are conducting ESG evaluations of their suppliers for the purpose of supply chain management. The results of these evaluations are being incorporated into contractual agreements. However, many small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs) are lacking in their capacity and resources to effectively respond to ESG evaluations. Furthermore, existing ESG management guidelines do not provide an industry-specific guidance, making it necessary to establish industry-specific guidelines that SMEs can refer to. Therefore, in this study, the evaluation Indicators of ESG supply chain assessments are surveyed, which is conducted by domestic major automotive parts companies and global automobile manufacturers. Then 56 supply chain ESG evaluation Indicators are derived. Also, ESG management indicators for SMEs is analyzed through the Importance-Performance Analysis(IPA), based on an interview of expert groups. Therefore, this study could propose industry-specific ESG guidelines, based on the results of the derived indicators, which reflects the need for SMEs to practice ESG management within certain boundaries.

전남지역 제조업의 존립기반과 입지특성 (The Remained Basis and the Locational Characteristics of Manufacturing in Chonnam Region)

  • 본 연구는 주변 농촌지역인 전남지역에서 제조업의 존립기반과 입지적 특성을 고찰하였다. 먼저 제조업 입지에 관한 이론적 논외를 검토하여 주변지역에서의 입지특성을 파악하고, 전남지역의 공간적 선행성을 분석한 후 중소기업과 독점적 대기업으로 구분하여 각각 입지적 존립 특성을 확인하였다. 전남지역은 1차산업의 비중이 놀은 농수산업지역이다. 식민지 시기에는 농업에 대한 수탈이 심하여 지역자본이 축적되지 못한 곳이며, 공업화 시대에는 수도권 및 미 일 중심의 지리적 축에서 벗어나 개발이 정체되었던 곳이다. 따라서 영세한 토착성 기업이 제조업의 주류를 이루고 있으며, 자본집약적인 소수 대기업이 독점적 산업공간을 형성하고 있다. 영세한 토착기업은 농수산물과 지역시장에 기반하여 존립하고 있다. 농수산물 식품가공업과 건축자재의 비금속업이 대부분을 점하고 있지만 점차 단순한 조립 및 화학업종이 증가하여 업종구조가 다양하게 발전하고 있다. 이러한 현상은 광주시 주변지역으로부터 내륙농촌지역과 해안지역으로 점차 확대되고 있다. 철강, 화학 등 소재생산 중심의 독점적 대기업의 입지는 지역제조업의 발전을 추동하지 못하고, 지역산업과는 폐쇄적으로 독점적 산업공간을 이루고 있으며, 에너지, 용수, 용지의 다수요 제조업으로서 자연환경에 영향을 미치고 있다. 따라서 향후 전남지역은 포드주의적 대량생산 분공장이 제조업 성장을 주도하면서 주변지역의 특성이 재생산 발전될 것으로 전망된다.

  • Many mid-sized companies in Korean automotive industry have attempted to solve the lack of human power, to control the quality of components, to improve the production rate, and to innovate the manufacturing line. The goals of this study are to analyze the production rate of an automotive component manufacturing line using simulation software, to construct a Flexible Automation Subassembly (FAS) system and to suggest an optimized layout design using FAS line. In this research, the simulation model for manufacturing line was developed and used the realistic data of a medium sized company in Korean automotive industry. To complete this research, a simulation software 'ARENA' was used. This research analyzed the work distribution strategy and cycle time element for production flow and proposed an optimized layout to resolve line balancing problem which would bring the improved production rate.
