서울시내 일부 중학생의 시력 및 안경착용과 그에 따른 보건행태 조사연구 (A study on the spectacles-wearing and eyesight health behavior of the middle school students)

  • Owing to the use of many cultural facilities, the elevation of life standards and the high level progress of industry, visual impairment was on increasing trends. Especially due to studying for many hours, the myopia of adolescents became a serious social issue. The purpose of this study was to understand adolescent's wearing glasses and eyesight condition, whether the primary myopia factor and the subjective symptoms were different between the myopia group and the normal group, between the wearing glasses group and the non-wearing glasses group, and the effect on physical, mental and study activity of myopia. The subject of investigation was 627 middle school students in Seoul and the investigation was accomplished from July 7th, 1993 to July 12th, 1993. The data were analyzed by the percentage, x²-test, t-test and ANOVA of SPSS. The results were as followed; 1. The rate of the right and left eyesights higher than 0.8 in the normal group was 47.0%, and those less than 0.7 in the myopia group was 53.0%. In the boy students, the normal group was 54.1%, the myopia group was 45.9%. In the girl students, the normal group was 39.2%, the myopia group was 60.8%. Therefore the girl students' myopia rates were higher than the boy students', and this result was significant(p<0.01). 2. The rate of wearing glasses of the middle school students was 44.6%. The rate of wearing glasses of the girl students was 56.8%. The rate of wearing glasses of the girl students was higher than that of the boy students 43.2%. The rate of necessary glasses of the middle school students was 6.1% and the rate of necessary glasses of the boy students was 7.9%, the rate of necessary glasses of the girl students was 4.1%. 3. In case of a family member of the student wear glasses, the rate of wearing glasses was higher. 4. In the myopia group, the main reason for not wearing glasses was "Uncomfortable"(63.3% in the boy students, 40% in the girl students). In case of the girl students, "Nonpermission of their parents" was 18.7% and remarkably higher than 5.1% in case of the boy students. 5. The factor of myopia was that "The bad attitude of watching TV closely" was 19.9%, that "The dimly-lit room" was 6.6%. 6. In order to protect eyesight, the rate of the students who practiced "Looking at something from afar 3∼4times a day" was 37.3%, the rate of the students who did "Eye exercise" was 17.5%, the rate of the students who took "A medicine for promoting nutrition" was 12.9%. The rate of taking the medicine was higher than 3.5% in the normal eyesight group. 7. After near working, the point of subjective symptoms was higher in the myopia group than in the normal group and in the wearing glasses group than in the unwearing group and in the girl students than in the boy students. 8. The longer time to watch TV, the higher point of subjective symptoms. The longer distance to watch TV, the lower point of subjective symptoms(p<0.05).

  • Significance of the R16 Korea Contest as Culture Contents. Known for relentless practice and intense moves, widespread presence on the Internet, strong ethnic elements highlighting Korean physical attributes and collective culture, b-boying occupies a special place in Korea today. News of four consecutive wins in major b-boy contests around the world have changed the common public conception that b-boys are simply a group of problem boys and students in hip-hop clothes intent on showing off their dance moves. B-boying is no longer perceived as a dance that is performed in the shadowy underground but as a dynamic and beautiful art form of physical expression that is part of today's popular culture. This paper examines the significance of R-16 Korea as culture contents and its main event, the World B-boy Masters Championship. It introduces how the contest has developed since 2007 to reach popular influence and gain international recognition. The paper also compares R-16 Korea to the world's four major b-boy contests, Battle Of The Year, UK B-boy Championship, Free Style Session, and Red Bull BC One to see if any distinctions could be found among them and to evaluate the significance of R-16 Korea as cultural content in its rise to one of the world's top 5 major b-boy contests. Finally, this study makes suggestions for b-boying to become more established as part of Korea's culture contents.

초.중학교 아동이 지각하는 부모의 권위 (Parental Authorities Perceived by Children of Elementary and Middle School)

  • The purpose of this study was to measure perceiving extent on father and mother's authority - domain perceived by child and the some materials for bringing up authority - domain in according to the sex and development level of child. The study subjects were children of 3rd elementary schools and 3rd middle schools at Cheong - ju city Chungcheongbuk - do and duration for investigation was from Sept. 24, '97 to Sept. 28, '97. The measuring sample was "Parents' Authority Index" by Kim, Kyeong - hee(1990). The Data were analyzed by descriptive analysis, t - test and ANOVA using the SPSSWIN program. The conclusion of this study were as follows; 1. The perceptive extent regarding parents' authorities has shown very voluntary differences in identity authority. It has shown voluntary differences ligitimacy authority and competency authority as well. 2. In the father's authority - domain based on the child's sex, girl group recognized higher than boy group for the ligitmacy authority as a elementary school students. 3. In the father's authority - domain aspect based on child's developing level, for the ligitmacy authority boy group showed most voluntary difference. In the mother's authority based on child's developing level, all of boy and girl group recognized highly exchange authority with a voluntary difference. 4. In concering the correlation of each authority - domains to father and mother percevied by children, it was shown the highest within identical realm.

"K" 국민학교(國民學校) 학동(學童)의 치아우식증(齒牙齲蝕症) 이환추이(罹患推移)에 대(對)한 제3차년도(第三次年度) 보고(報告) (The Third Year-Report on the Dental Caries Prevalence of "K" Primary School Children and Their Annual Comparisons)

  • The third year dental caries survey of "K" primary school children was performed in June 1975, and evaluated their transitional trends of three consecutive past years, statistically. 1,421 children (782 boys and 639 girls) 6 to 12 years of age was surveyed at the third year. The results were as follows: 1) The average df person rate was 89.97%(boy 88.19%, girl 92.42%). It showed significant increment(P<0.005) compare to 1973 and nonsignificant to 1974. 2) The average dft index was 3.82(boy 3.76, girl 3.90). It showed nonsignificant difference compare to 1973 and 1974. 3) The average DMF person rate was 66.57%(boy 63.84%, girl 69.89%). It showed significant decrement(P<0.005) compare to 1973 and 1974. 4) The average DMFT index was 2.03(boy 1.88, girl 2.20). It showed significant decrement(P<0.005) compare to 1973 and 1974. 5) The sexual difference of df and DMF person rates, female showed a little higher value than male. It showed significant difference(P<0.005). 6) The increment of df and DMF person rates, the 7 to 8 year group showed the most and the 7 to 8 year group showed the least.

중학교 남학생에 대한 가정과 교육이 가정생활에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Education on the Attitude of Home Life for the Boy’s in Middle School)

  • The central goal of this study is to find out of the boy students in middle school the attitude towards house life and house-hold affairs of the boys; and explain what will be of their attitude after they have got Home Economics education. For the purpose of this study, 138 questionairs were distributed to the boy students who had educated Home Economics in school and the ones who had not. The results were as follows; 1. The educated group has higher score in ability of house-hold making than the other group. 2. The educated students responed affirmatively to the utility and necessity of Home Economics education. 3. The teachers who have taught Home Economics to male students have opinions that the students needed Home Economics education to increase the ability of doing house-hold work. Accordingly, Home Economics education should be taught to both sexes in order to have good quality of life, and requires more hours to study as well.

취학전아동의 의복디자인 선호성과 사려성-충동성 성향과의 상관연구 (A Study on the Relationship Between the Preference of Clothing Design and the Nature of Reflactiveness-Implulsiveness for a Group of Preschool Children)

  • The purpose of this present study is not only to investigate mutal relationship between the preference of clothing design and the nature of Reflectiveness-Impulsiveness, but to offer clothing design for desirably developing of child, especially of preschool children. And the practical research was performed for 166 preschool children who are in kindergarten located in Seoul and are selected according to their sex and social class. This study used Kagan's MFFT and Personality Inventory of Hwang Eung-Yeon for the test of Reflectiveness-Impulsiveness, while for the preference of clothing design used the photo deck which is showed to children. The data analysis was based on frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, chi-square ($x^2$) test, t-test, F-test, and Duncan's Multiple Range Test. It can be concluded that girls rather than toys, high class children rather than middle or low class children were more reflective as a general trend. The relationship between the preference of clothing design and the nature of Reflectiveness and Impulsiveness is as follows : 1. In color, reflective boy liked blue series and reflective girl liked pastel coloring series, while they disgusted red series and non-coloring series. The group of impulsiveness liked red series, while they disgusted non-coloring series. 2. In color combination, group of reflectiveness liked similar color, while group of impulsiveness liked contrasting color. 3. In texture, group of reflectiveness liked soft and shiny texture, while they disgusted thick and rough texture. Also Group of impulsiveness liked soft texture. 4. In pattern, reflective boy liked lettering pattern and reflective girl liked flower pattern, while she disgusted lettering pattern. Impulsive boy liked stripe pattern and limpulsive girl liked flower pattern. 5. In pattern size, group of reflectivenss liked small size, while group of impulsiveness liked large one. 6. In style, group of reflectiveness liked formal style.

성별 소집단 구성에 따른 상호작용 사례 연구 (A Case Study on Social Interaction Acconling to Gender-Grouping)

  • 이 연구는 LLTS 프로그램 적용 과정에서 성별 집단 구성 방법에 따른 사회적 상호작용의 특성을 분석하기 위한 사례 연구이다. 이를 위해 혼성소집단A는 남학생 1명과 여학생 3명 또는 여학생 1명과 남학생 3명, 혼성소집단B는 남학생 2명과 여학생 2명, 동성소집단은 남학생 4명 또는 여학생 4명으로 구성하였다. 사회적 상호작용은 녹음, 녹화되었으며, 각 집단에 속한 남학생, 여학생 각 1명의 상호작용을 중심으로 분석하였고, 인지적, 정의적 측면에서 유형화하였다. 연구 결과 상호작용 관찰 대상자가 동성소집단에 있을 때는 문제해결에 적극적으로 의견을 제시하였지만, 동료들에게 지시하거나 제재하기도 하였다. 반면에 흔성소집단A에서는 의견제시에 매우 소극적이지만, 동료들의 의견에 대해서 적절한 근거를 사용하여 반론을 제시하기도 하였다. 혼성소집단B에서는 정의적 상호작용의 빈도가 매우 높았다.

창의·인성 교육이 초등학생들의 과학관련 태도와 과학 탐구과정 기능에 미치는 영향 (A Study of Effects of Creativity·Personality Education on Science Related Attitudes and Science Process Skills in Elementary School Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate effects of creative personality education on elementary school students' science-related attitudes and science process skills. The experimental group was composed of 301 students Y Elementary school managing Creativity Personality Model School and the comparative group was composed of 231 students G elementary school in G city, Gyungsangnamdo. Before carrying out the study, both groups took the preliminary examination about their science-related attitudes and science process skills. After three months, the experiment group and the comparison group took the post examinations to compare and analyze the results. The results were as follows. Firstly, the averages of science-related attitudes for whole students, and boy students in experimental group statistically meaningfully higher than that of comparative groups, but made no difference for girl students. Secondary, in the case of science process skills, the averages of science-related attitudes for whole students including boy and girl students in experimental group statistically meaningfully higher than that of comparative groups. In light of these, it was thought that creative personality education positively effected on science-related attitude and science process skills.

불임피술주부(不妊被術主婦)의 가정적(家庭的) 배경(背景)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (A Study on the Family Situation of Sterilized Homemakers)

  • A study was carried out for the evaluation on family situation of 900 homemakers those who had received tubal sterilization operation (laparoscopic and minilaparotomy) at family planning clinic, Seoul Red Cross Hospital from October 1974 to September 1977. The results obtained are as follows: 1) In age distribution, predominant age group consisted of those $31{\sim}35$ years frequency of 43.2% and average age was 33.3 years. 2) Educational level showed that homemakers who finished primary school accounted for 37.3% of the total and those having middle school education comprised 28.7%, and 24.3% of them were high school graduates, 8.3% of them were college graduates. On the other hand, husband's education level showed that, 37.6% of them were high school graduates, 29.7% were college graduates and 19.9% were middle school graduates, therefor, educational level of husbands was one step higher than wives. 3) In the gravidity at the tubal sterilization, the highest incidence(18.4%) among 853cases was the group of gravida 5, and 16.2% gravida 4, and the gravidity ranged $1{\sim}23$. Average gravidity of clients was 6.0. 4) Among the total number of 900 clients, 778cases (91.3%) had no experience of spontanous abortion, history of 1 abortion in 5.9%, 2 abortions in 1.8%, and it showed the decresed incidence of spontanous abortion recently. Average was 0.15. As regarding induced abortion, in spite of only 142 homemakers (16.7%) had no history of induced abortion, 20.5% had experienced 1 induced abortion before sterilization, 17.7% had 2 induced abortions, 14.6% had 3 abortions, 10.3% had 4 abortions, and 0.2% (2cases) had over 20 abortions. Average was 2.7. 5) In regarding to the number of living children, the greatest number (45.0%) of clients had 3 children, and 26.5% 2 children, 19.7% 4 children. Average number of their living children was 3.03. 6) Sex ratio of living children, among 18 clients those had 1 child, 17 homemakers had 1 boy and no girl, 1 homemaker had no boy and 1 girl only. Sex ratio showed that woman who had 2 boys and no girl accounted for 46.3%, however, those having no boy and 2 girls ocmprised only 1. 8% among 229 clients who had 2 children. Among 389 clients who had 3 children, in spite of woman who had 3 boys and no girl comprised 16.5%, but no boy and 3 girls only 1.5%. Among 170 clients who had 4 children, homemakers with 4 boys and no girl accounted for 4.1%, however, no boy and 4 girls 1.8% of the total. Among 52 clients, who had 5 children, woman with 5 boys and no girl comprised 3.9%, no boy and 5 girls 0%. Among 7 cases who had 6 children, there were 3 cases who had 3 boys and 3 girls, but only 1 cases had 1 boy and 5 girls and so on. These results showed a strong trend of male preference in Korea and this could be one of the inhibit factors for family planning.

여고생의 흡연실태와 이에 영향을 미치는 요인 - 흡연지식, 흡연태도, 건강행위를 중심으로 - (A Study of the Smoking of high school girls and its factor)

  • This study was surveyed among 1136 respondent of high school girls in seoul from Feb. 6, till Feb. 22, 1992 for the purpose of analysing the smoking of high school girls and its factor. The data was analied by X²-test and Multiple Regression and shows the following. 1. Out of 1,136 respondent, the current smokers were found to be 176, 15.5% and the former smokers were 204, 18.0%. This implies that 23.5% of high school girls seoul have experience smoking. 2. For the first smoking time in both smoking group and former smokers, it shows that the third grade of middle school lead the lists. 36.9% (65) of the smokers and 37.3(75)of former smokers experienced the first smoking at that time. 70.5%(124) of the smoking group have the intention to stop smoking and the first reason of it is health problem, 65.6%(75). 3. For the type of the school the smoking rate rages from 2.7%(7) of literary part in day time to 25.3%(97) of vocational part in evening time and the rate of smoking experience shows from 9.9%(26) literary part in day time to 25.3%(97) of vocational part in evening time. This data show that literary part in day time has the lowst rate while vocational part in eveing time the highest rate. 4. Compared with non smoker group, smoking group and former smoking group spent more money (P<0.001) and felt dissatisfied with school life and didn't have good school records. 5. Smoking group and former smokers have more boy friends than non smoking group and in most cases their boy friend have smoking habits (P<0.001) and it is the same with their gril friend (P<0.001). 6. Compared with non smoker group, smoking group and former smokers lack of their parents' interest (P<0.001). But whether it is strict or free there is little difference among the three group. 7. For smoking group and former smoking group, in most cases their parent, brother and sister tend to smoke and especially their sisters' smoking has much influence on their smoking in comparison with non-smokers. 8. Compared with non-smoker group, smoking group and former smoking group tend to think less of the harm of smoking. In regard with health problem, more smoking group and former smokers think that smoking can relieve the stress (P<0.001), and more non-smokers know that when a pregnant woman smokes, it can cause the lack of supply of Oxygen{P<0.01). 9. Smoking group and former smoking group have more positive attitude towards smoking than non-smokers and tend to agree to their boy and girl friends' smoking(P<0.001).
