After 1980's, the progress in quantities of apartments were made by the housing construction expediting policies. But, the qualities of apartments were neglected and the plan of apartments were uniformed by the economical aspects. Apartment unit plans were designed standardized by the reasons of economical efficiency, structural methods and sales. Therefore apartments could not deal effectively with increasing demands for qualities of the residents. Absence of aesthetical values and fixed unit plans on regardless of the residents family compositions and the size of the apartments were occurred. So the new types of the apartment plans are needed to suit the changes and diversities of living. The purpose of this study is to extract the design factors for future apartment by analyzing the unit plans of apartment housings today.

The purpose of this study wat to check CS service and to seek directions of development of CS service in apartment house by investigating the status of CS service and residents' satisfaction of CS service. This study indicates brand apartments provide a variety of CS service for the residents living in the apartment houses. In terms of perceptions and satisfaction of CS service, the study has found that there is growing recognition and needs of CS service and it is necessary to reinforce A/S service in aspect of CS service.

Resent, requirement of residents is socially increasing for apartment. Apartment housing os developed to reduce the housing shortage caused by urbanism after industrialization in Korea. The Purpose of this study is to analyze the casual relationships of housing satisfaction, living Life-Cycle on all residents of apartment housing. This study develops a theoretical model based on the previous studies, and testifies the hypothesis through analyzing to questionnaires form 643 residents of apartment housing. Then, the data were analyzed by SPSS12+ program package in terms of frequency, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study is summarized as the followings: The perceived quality had positive effects on the factor of living Life-Cycle and housing satisfaction. Finding of this study can provide valuable information for a criterion of decision making to consumer and a marketing strategy of housing construction company.

The main objectives of this study were to determine the differences in the personal. physical. socio-psychological characteristics of the elderly and the housing features according to housing types. This study classifed housing types into 4 types purchased apartment, public rental apartment charge-free institutional housing for the elderly and private housing facility for the elderly. On the basis of the findings. these al·e the following conclusions: Generally, the morale of residents in elderly facilities was higher than that of the apartment residents’. This result could support the development of senior housing in Korea Residents of rental apartment were younger and their functional health and level of independence were higher than that of others. Therefore rental housing would be an alternative housing for the independent low-income elderly. However the morale of rental housing residents was lower than that of ethers. The elderly housing facility residents’ recongnition of the housing managers’ leadership style was higher than that of the apartment residents’. This result ensures the importance of housing manager’s role in managing senior housing.

The brand is getting more important purchase factor in apartment market, so domestic construction companies have tried to differentiate it from others using the unique brand image. The purpose of this study is to investigate consistency brand images as a process which includes publicity, design and customer service and to analyze how using intergrated brand image affects brand preference and purchasing intention. To examine hypotheses, empirical study survey questionnaire for consumers who reside in 4 different brand apartments in Dongtan, Hwasung city is conducted. The results of the study are expected to become the useful data in developing sustainable apartment brand and building the marketing strategy of construction companies.

Recently, the construction companies show lots of interest in reducing the construction duration of apartment housing project in Korea. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the success factors of scheduling using the TACT technique in wall type apartment house construction for managing the construction schedule effectively. For appling the tact scheduling technique to wall type apartment house construction, the success factors can be summarized as follows : (1) zoning the horizontal and vortical work area properly, (2) preparing the flow chart of finishing works, (3) minimizing the undefined activity like chipping off the concrete wall, (4) reordering the construction activities for keeping up the continuity of works in winter season, (5) dividing the amount of work for minimizing the delay time of any activity, etc.

Apartment Housing in Korea has been developed rapidly and settled as a main housing form for short period, 40 years. In spite of increase of the apartment housing, it has pointed out that spatial organization of the apartment housing could accommodate residents 'various life style and life cycle. One of such planning methods is a flexible housing. Starting with the Gangbyoun-Siebeom apartment, flexible housing has been developed as merchandising constantly. However, flexible housing doesn't have enough understanding concerning lifestyle or life cycle of user individually, and it also means lack of comprehension and of flexibility, layout from modular coordination and planning of housing component. Therefore, according to the flexibility, the major goal of this research is to analyze the difficulty in realizing further of flexible housing in Korea and suggest implementation and alternatives or directions of flexible housing in Korea.

In the suburbs near the capital area in Korea, many apartment house complexes are dotted that encircled by field. These apartment house complexes encircled by field, have not park and are abutting on the field, unlike large scale new town. This study is aimed to clear the characteristic of field around these apartment house complexes, consists in development the suburbs near the capital area. As a method of study we conducted greenery evaluation from view of Inhabitant by questionnaire survey. We concluded as follows: inhabitants attach importance to the nature around apartment house complex when move into that; inhabitants are satisfied and feel nature about the field; inhabitants tend to take field as a sight; inhabitants need low-rise development for harmony with field.

Large-scaled apartment housing complex at outskirts of downtown which has direct influence on urban view concentrated on improving the space outside the complex like spatial composition of individual plan design, but neglected the contribution of urban view. However, as people's orientation toward urban areas was changed to quality from quantity, concerns on urban view have been gradually increased and planning of apartment housing has been extended to complex with view contributing to urban people as a factor composing the city in resident centered spatial composition. This study is therefore to examine the characteristics of view components of 13 apartment housing complexes at Sangmu District in Gwangju Metropolitan City and their influences on evaluating view image.

A goal of this research is to propose and testify the remodeling possibility from deteriorated stock apartment housing, to three generation family living in a dwelling unit for low incomes. An apartment housing which is introduced from 1970s, is accumulated over 55% of the stock housing in Korea, many of them are confront with a rebuilding in a short usage of twenty years below. They were built in a small one, and it testified from two to one conversion in this article that can be applicated in a 10, 13, 14, I5, and 16 pyung, the remodeling size became from 20 to 36 pyung. In this article, we can see a reform model in possible for three generation family living in the small apartment house.
