Leaf Blight of Fatsia japonica caused by Phytophthora cactorum

  • A leaf blight caused by a species of Phytophthora was found on fatsia plants (Fatsia japonica Decne et Planch.) growing in an apartment garden in Daegu, Korea in late April to May, 2003. The species of Phytophthora isolated from the diseased plants produced sporangia and sex organs on V8 juice agar medium. Sporangia were papillate, ovoid to subspherical, and caducous with a pedicel. The dimensions of the sporangia were $31.2-46.8\times23.4-33.2{\mu}m$ in range, $39.6\pm4.1\times28.3\pm2.8{\mu}m$ in $average{\pm}standard$ deviation, I/b ratio approximately 1.40, with papillae about $3.6{\mu}m$ high, and pedicels $0.9­5.8{\mu}m$ long. Oogonia were spherical, $25.0-32.5{\mu}m$ in range with an average of $28.2\pm2.3{\mu}m$ in diameter. Antheridia were predominantly paragynous, globose to ovoid, $8.8-13.8\times7.5-10.0{\mu}m$ with an average of $10.9\pm1.2 \times9.2\pm1.1{\mu}m$. Oospores in the oogonia were aplerotic or plerotic, and $20.0-25.0{\mu}m$ in diameter with an average of $23.5\pm1.5{\mu}m$. Pathogenicity of the isolate was confirmed on detached leaves of fatsia. The disease was observed only in April and May of 2003 when the weather was unusually wet. It then diminished with increase of temperature in the year and did not appear again on the same plants in 2004. Thus, the fungus appeared to be a relatively weak pathogen of fatsia.

  • 부동산 경매는 최근 새로운 부동산 투자방법 가운데 하나로 자리잡고있다. 이는 부동산 시장의 성장과 더불어 부동산 경매 시장 또한 증가하고 있는 추세에 기인한다 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 부동산 경매에 참여하는 사람 및 기관들에게 가장 중요한 지표라 할 수 있는 낙찰률의 변화를 설명하고 예측하는 모형을 구축하고자 하였다. 월별 평균 낙찰률을 예측하기 위하여 단순한 지역별, 기간별 평균값을 보완하고 의사결정나무 분석을 이용하여 예측오차를 보정하는 방법을 제안하였고 선형회귀모형을 이용하여 개별 경매 물건별 낙찰률을 예측하기 위한 모형을 구축하였다. 구축된 모형은 전국 아파트 경매 물건에 적용하여 예측 모형을 구현하였으며 그 응용방법으로 예측결과에 대한 등급화를 함께 수행하였다.

한옥 설계의 최근 경향 연구 - 최근 10년간 건축전문 잡지에 게재된 신축 한옥을 대상으로 - (The Recent Trends of Hanok Design - Based on the Analysis of the Hanoks Appeared in Architecture Magazines in the Last 10 Years -)

  • The objective of this study is to find out the recent trends of hanok design based on 58 hanoks appeared in architecture magazines in the last 10 years. The cases are analyzed in terms of location, size, building form, spatial organization, material, roof form, and the ceiling form of living room. The consequences of this study is as follows; Most of the recent hanoks are built in rural area (91.4%), which shows the hanok is not accepted as an urban house type. Hanoks tend to be built in 2 stories whose 2nd floor is smaller than the 1st floor. (34.5%) The preferred size is total floor area of $99.2{\sim}165.2m^2$ (62.0%), 3 rooms (46.6%) with a traditional ondol room (60.3%). The buildings with ㄱ-shape (43.1%) and linear-shape (27.6%) are preferred, and the compact plan type similar with apartment house appears (13.8%). In the roof design that greatly influences the appearance of building, the traditional design factors such as half-hipped roof (55.2%), double eaves (27.6%), and eaves curve tend to be sustained. In terms of spatial organization, most of recent hanoks have double-layed plan (74.2%). The living room mostly has separately defined space. (82.8%) The indoor and outdoor tend to be connected by a narrow wooden veranda (39.7%), while some cases don't have any wooden floor space (48.3%). The entrance is adopted as an important spatial element in front part of building (75.9%), and it influences the appearance of building. The living room, the counterpart of the wooden floor hall in traditional hanok, and kitchen tend to be interiorized. In terms of material, the cement roof tile and red clay brick are preferred. Consequently, the walls of recent hanoks have the image of brick structure rather than the wooden frame structure of traditonal hanok.

고속 전력선 통신용 옥내 저전압 전력선 임피던스 측정 및 특성 연구 (Investigation and measurement of indoor low voltage powerline impedance for high data rate powerline communications (PLC))

  • 전력선 통신의 매체인 전력선은 60Hz 전력 공급을 위해 설계되었기 때문에 고속 전력선 통신을 위한 1MHz∼30MHz 대역에서는 전력선은 전기적으로 많은 다른 특징을 갖는다. 따라서 고속 전력선 통신을 위해서는 전력선의 고주파 특성-감쇄 지연, 임피던스-등이 자세하게 분석되고 연구되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 고속 전력선 통신용 1MHz∼30MHz 주파수 대역 옥내저압 전력선 (220V) 임피던스를 측정하였다. 벡터 회로망 분석기와 저압 전력선 결합 장치(coupling unit)를 이용하여 임피던스를 측정하였다. 결합 장치를 T형 등가회로로 바꾸어, 전체 회로에서 얻은 산란계수를 이용하여 저압 전력선 임피던스를 구했다. 제안된 방법으로 표준 한국형 저층 연립 아파트에 대한 임피던스를 측정하고, 그 특성을 분석하였다. 또한 임피던스 정합을 위하여 평균 임피던스를 구하였고, 측정결과 평균 임피던스는 약 100Ω이었다.

생활폐기물 성분에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Composition of Solid Waste)

  • Generation of Solid Wastes grew rapidly with the increase of living standard of the people in Korea recently and their composition was more complicate. The weight of Solid wastes generated in Seoul into year of 1979 was about 420 million tons which required 1.5 million $m^2$ of burial land and daily generation for person was 1.6kg. The Composition of more than 80% ash contents was suitable for sanitary landfill but recently ash was decreasing while paper, synthetic materials, glass etc, increasing and alternative method had to be found to dispose the wastes properly. Weight and Composition of Wastes by season and living standard were surveyed for one year from June 1980 to May 1981 in Seoul. Disposal mathods by waste composition was studied. Results were summarized as follows: 1) Each component stored separately at generation point was to be collected and to be reused or disposed by public organization or private company. Some incentives have to be arranged. 2) Wastes collected from household were transfeted to about 420 temporally storing places and transported to two dumping areas by about 700, 4-8 tons trucks which droped litters on the streets. Large dumping lots should constructed along the western coasts and the wastes would be transported through big container trucks or trains to the lots. 3) Ash contents decreased to 40-70% while garbage, synthetic materials, paper increased and they are two to three times in summer of those in winter. Ash in affluent residential areas is less than 50% of whole wastes while that in poor apartment and residential areas is 60-70%. 4) Large dumping places should be constructed along the western coasts which are not far from Seoul because no suitalbe lands are available, and proper leakage protection arrangements should be made.

단독가구노인의 주거만족도에 관한 연구 - 도시.농촌지역간의 비교를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Housing Satisfaction of Elderly Living Alone or with Spouse - A Comparision between Urban and Rural Area -)

  • The purpose of this study is to find the main factor which influences the housing satisfaction of elderly who lives alone or with spouse and to make it sure that housing satisfaction is an important factor to life satisfaction of elderly. The specific purpose of this study is as follows; 1) How does the locus of control of elderly influence a housing satisfaction\ulcorner 2) How does the housing characteristics of elderly influence on the housing satisfaction and this relationship has any difference between urban and rural area. 3) Which variables influence upon the housing satisfaction and life satisfaction of elderly and how much do they influence \ulcorner The locus of control scale, housing satisfaction scale. life satisfaction scale were composed on the basis of precedent researches. For this study 202 elderly sho live in urban and rural area ere interviewed. To analyze the data, such as F-test, t-test, two-way ANOVA, Multiple regression analysis were used with SPSS program. The results are as follows; 1) The interrelation between locus of control and housing satisfaction is as follows. Namely , if he believes in his deeds and will rater than his fate, he feels more housing satisfaction. 2)the housing satisfaction of the elderly was found to be influenced by location, Namely, the elderly living in the urban area feels more housing satisfaction, especially he lives in apartment and unshared house. On the contrary, the elderly living in the rural area was not affected by housing type and the number of household who live together, The housing satisfaction of the elderly living in the rural area or the urban area equally influenced by the housing tenure, heating system, bathroom facility, flush toilet, and convenient service form the outside. 3) The main factoers which influence the housing satisfaction of the single household elderly are bathroom facility louse of control and income. When we concern about the location in urban area the housing satisfaction of the elderly were mainly influenced by income, but in the rural area, they were influenced by the service facility from the outside. As a Conclusion, the main factor which influenced life satisfaction of the elderly proved to be housing satisfaction inn both rural and urban area.

저관여 생필품 소매업체상표 구매자의 특성: 스캐너 데이터 분석 (Characteristics of Private Label Users of Low Involvement Products: Scanner Data Analysis)

  • Purpose - The purpose of the research is to identify the demographic characteristics of the customers with high private label purchase intention. According to the previous research demographics such as gender, age, income, and residence type affect private label purchase intention indirectly through psychographics rather than directly. For instance, higher income group is time pressured, price-insensitive, quality-sensitive, less likely to enjoy shopping utilitarian products, and less likely to be variety-seeking. The main contribution of this research is to verify the results found in the previous empirical foreign research using scanner data and to investigate the differences of the characteristics of private label users between Korea and the foreign countries. Research design, data, and methodology - In order to empirically test the proposed hypotheses, scanner data of a Korean major super center was analyzed. Results - Empirical results show that private labels are more favored by old people over 50s, dwellers in individual house, lower income group, and frequent store visitors. Age of 30s, dwellers in the apartment of 30 pyung, higher income group, and consumers who purchased a large amount are less likely to purchase private labels. Gender turned out not to affect private label purchase. It should be noted that there is a significant multicollinearity among independent variables. Conclusions - The research findings provide managerial implication for retailers' private label strategy. In general, retailers heavily send private label coupons to the customers with high purchase volume. According to the research, however, store visit frequency is much more positively associated with private label purchase than purchase amount. The study has some limitations. The samples are only consumers with private label purchase experience. The data were drawn from one store and only 8 commodity products were used for the analysis. Also, if more demographics were available, a more complete description on the private brand users' profile could have been derived. We propose the following future research. Research using the data including consumers without private label experience, research investigating direction of causality between private label loyalty and store loyalty, and research using hedonic private label products such as TV and PC could be promising.

생활 환경의 소음 측정을 위한 모바일 데이터 처리 시스템 (The mobile data processing system for noise measured in a living environment)

  • 우리나라의 대표적인 주거 형태는 공동 주택이다. 이로 인해 생활 소음과 관련된 민원 발생이 급증하고 있는 상태이다. 이에 실생활에서 주변 소음으로 인해 고통을 받는 경우에는 소음 측정기로 측정하여 민원을 제기할 수도 있다. 그러나 일반가정에서는 전문적인 장비를 동원해 소음 측정을 하기가 어렵기 때문에 간편하게 스마트폰 앱을 사용하는 경우가 많다. 기존에 출시된 소음 측정 앱은 동일한 조건에서 측정하여도 값이 다르게 나오는 등 정확도가 현저히 떨어지며, 실제 소음 측정을 위한 목적으로 사용하기가 어렵다. 따라서 본 논문은 스마트폰을 이용한 생활환경의 소음 측정을 위한 모바일 데이터 처리 시스템을 제안한다. 본 연구의 기대 효과는 장비가 없는 가정에서 간편한 소음 측정 및 소음이 발생된 방향을 추정하여 민원 처리의 자료로 활용할 수 있다.

공정관리의 실태 및 공기 단축에 대한 인식정도 (The State of Schedule Management and the Recognition of Duration Shortening)

  • 건설공사는 현장을 중심으로 이루어지고 있어 공사계획초기 수립된 공기가 공기지연요인에 의하여 지연 또는 연장이 발생하게 되면 건설사는 클레임 등의 위험부담을 안고 있어 공기단축을 통해 공사 준공일 내에 목적물을 완공한다. 이에 광주광역시 내 공동주택 현장의 기술자들을 대상으로 공정관리 실태 및 공기단축의 필요성, 목적, 방법에 관한 인식을 파악해보았고 그 결과 타 지역에 비하여 공정관리전담부서 편성이 미흡하고 전문 인력이 부족함을 알았고, 공기단축의 필요성은 높게 인식된 반면 공사비 절감과의 관계는 낮게 인식되었다. 단축목적으로는 공기연장에 대비, 각종 클레임에 대처를 높게 인식하였으며 단축방법으로는 작업시간연장 및 작업원 증가를 통해 단축하겠다고 하였다. 이에 본 연구는 기술자들로 하여금 공기단축은 단순히 공기지연을 만회하기 위한 것이 아니라 원가절감을 통한 생산성 향상 및 대외 경쟁력 확보와 밀접한 관련성이 있다고 인식되어지길 기대한다.

주택수요 예측을 위한 주택량과 상수도보급률의 상관성 분석 (The Analysis on the Correlationship for Rousing Demands and Water Supply Ratio)

  • 지역별 적정 주택량을 공급하기 위해 수요예측 모형을 구축한다 예측모형은 자료유형에 따라 다소 차이가 있으나 시계열자료(Time Series Data) 분석기법에 의한 모형 구축 시 추정대상 지역특성을 민감히 반영할 수 있는 영향인자가 필요하다. 도시지역을 인구규모로 분류하여 영향인자를 분석할 경우, 대도시와는 달리 중 $\cdot$ 소도시는 주택량과 상수도보급률의 변화가 일정기간 민감한 상관관계가 존재하는 것으로 조사되고 있다. 이에 따라 중 $\cdot$ 소도시 주택수요 예측을 위해 상수도보급률을 유용하게 적용할 수 있는 구간, 즉 예측모형 구축이 가능한 시점까지의 도시 주택량과 인구수 규모를 찾아낼 필요가 있다. 따라서, 전국 중 $\cdot$ 소도시를 대상으로 주택량과 상수도 보급률의 상관관계가 중 소도시 지역에서만 있는 것으로 조사된 기존 연구 결과를 재 입증하고, 지역별 상관관계가 완화되는 시점의 시기, 상수도보급률, 주택량, 인구수 규모를 발견하는 것을 본 연구의 목적으로 한다.
