전투함 하이브리드 전기추진 시스템의 PTO 운전모드 적용 및 연료절감 효과 연구 (A Study on the Adoption of Power Take Off Operation Mode and Fuel-Saving Effect in the Hybrid Electric Propulsion System for a Warship)

  • Hybrid electric propulsion systems (H-EPSs) are an intermediate step for integrated full electric propulsion warships. H-EPSs are a dynamic combination of mechanical and electrical propulsion systems to achieve the required mission performances. The system modes could adapt to meet the requirement of the various operation conditions of a warship. This paper presents a configuration and operating modes of H-EPSs considering the operation conditions of a destroyer class warship. The system has three propulsion modes, namely, motoring mode, generating mode [power take off (PTO) mode], and mechanical mode. The PTO mode requires a careful fuel efficiency analysis because the fuel consumption rate of propulsion engines may be low compared with the generator's engines depending on the loading power. Therefore, the calculation of fuel consumption according to the operating modes is performed in this study. Although the economics of the PTO mode depends on system cases, it has an advantage in that it ensures the reliability of electric power in case of blackout or minimum generator operation.

  • 소산파 기반 집적광학 바이오센서에 적합한 $Si_3N_4$ 립-광도파로 구조에 대한 해석적 분석을 통해서 단일모드 도파조건을 도출하였다. 두-모드 간섭현상을 이용하는 집적광학 바이오센서 구조를 제시하고, 단일모드와 두-모드(감지영역)에 해당되는 립-광도파로 제원인 폭, 립 및 코어 두께 각각에 대해서 $3{\mu}m$, 2 nm, 150 nm와 $3{\mu}m$, 20 nm, 340 nm를 제안하였으며, FMM 전산해석을 통해서 감지영역의 두-모드들에 대한 광학적 특성들을 검토하였다.

  • This paper presents a workflow validation method for data-intensive graphical workflow models using real-time workflow tracing mode on data-intensive workflow designer. In order to model and validate workflows, we try to divide as modes have editable mode and tracing mode on data-intensive workflow designer. We could design data-intensive workflow using drag and drop in editable-mode, otherwise we could not design but view and trace workflow model in tracing mode. We would like to focus on tracing-mode for workflow validation, and describe how to use workflow tracing on data-intensive workflow model designer. Especially, it is support data centered operation about control logics and exchange variables on workflow runtime for workflow tracing.

  • 기하광학적 해석방법으로 입사조건에 따른 SCS(step-graded-step) 모드 스크램블러의 near field pattern, 모달 파우어 분포 및 far field pattern을 계산하고, 실험결과와 일치함을 보였다. 이로부터 SGS 모드 스크램블러에 의해 피측정 graded index 광섬유에서 stable mode launching이 이루어짐을 설명하였다. 또한 SGS 모드 스크램블러의 효과적 사용 방법으로는 입사 NA를 적게하는 것이 좋다는 것을 알았으며, 실험으로 확인하였다.

Mode Identification in the Design of Wideband Cylindrical Monopole Antenna

  • Cylindrical monopole antenna is one of most promising candidates for multi-band applications such as PCS, WLAN, DMB, and UWB wireless services. In this research, we demonstrate that there exist two types of current distributions according to the exciting frequency in a double band cylindrical monopole antenna, in which double resonance is achieved by adjusting the coupling structure of the antenna base. The operating modes of current distributions are identified from CST software simulations, the standing wave mode in a lower band and the traveling wave mode in a higher band. Also it is noticed that the mode behavior is quite similar to a helical antenna, a standing-wave (resonance) mode and a traveling-wave (non-resonance) mode according to the electrical dimensions of antenna. The effective ranges for operating modes and design formulas of the double band antenna are derived from simulation and measured results.

  • 본 논문에서는 로봇 매니플레이터의 고속 동작시 위치 제어의 정확성을 감소시키는 다중 모드 오차 진동을 제거 할 수 있는 단순한 슬라이딩 모드 제어를 소개한다. 또한 시스템의 파라메터 변화와 외란으로 인해 슬라이딩 평면 조건의 깨짐을 방지하기 위해 신경망 학습 기능이 사용되어 진다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 신경망을 이용한 슬라이딩 모드 제어시스템이 설계되고, 제안된 제어 시스템의 성능은 시뮬레이션 을 통해 증명된다.

  • The dc reactor type high-Tc superconducting fault current limiter(SFCL) is composed of three parts, a power converter, a magnetic core reactor(MCR) and a dc reactor. This study concerned with the power converter of the DC reactor type high-Tc SFCL. The rectifying devices which power converter of 6.6kV/200A SFCL consists of have to endure high voltage. We propose the dual mode power converter to reduce the voltage which each rectifying device endures. In the single phase the experiment and simulation of dual mode power converter and the simulation of power converter with one bridge rectifier are performed. The current of each system with different power converter has a same tendency and the voltage which rectifying device of dual mode power converter endures is reduced in half by comparison with that of power converter with one bridge rectifier. We found dual mode power converter can be applied to SFCL.

  • Localized damage to a structure affects its dynamic properties, and much work has been undertaken investigating the variation of natural frequencies, damping ratios and mode shapes. This paper presents a technique based on wavelet transform to detect the existences and locations of structural damages. The procedure operates solely on the mode shape from the damaged structure, and does not require a priori knowledge of the undamaged structure. The procedure is developed using a 32-story shear building model. Applying wavelet transform to the mode shape successfully identifies the location of damage. The procedure is best suited to the mode shape obtained from the fundamental natural frequency. The wavelet coefficients from the higher mode shapes can be used to verify the location of damage, but they are not as sensitive as the wavelet coefficients of the lower mode shapes.

  • In this paper, a design methodology of fuzzy sliding mode control scheme for a hydraulic elevator controlled by inverter is presented. The proposed scheme uses a fuzzy sliding mode controller(FSMC), which is designed based on the similarity between the fuzzy logic control(FLC) and the sliding mode control(SMC). The proposed method has advantages that the stability and the robustness of the FLC are proved and ensured by the sliding mode control law, and the computation burden could be reduced greatly. The validity and the effectiveness of the proposed control method have been shown through the real world industrial application results.

  • A system operating algorithm was developed for the effective operation of a multi-type air-conditioning system. The system operating algorithm includes control algorithms for a safety mode, an initial operating mode, a stabilization mode, a fault diagnosis mode, an efficiency mode, and a tracking mode. Various tests were performed to show the effectiveness of these algorithms. Tests showed good results for the operation of a multi-type air-conditioning system. Therefore, these algorithms developed for this study may be used for the effective control of a multi-type air-conditioning system.
